The best part of the day was the beautiful weather...

The best part of the day was the beautiful weather and views, neither of which had anything to do with the company. We took the best of Alaska tour - which was advertised as kind of a choose your own adventure of kayaking, fishing, hiking, and boating. In reality, it was a half-day kayak trip and a half-day fishing trip very awkwardly smashed together. The fishing guides had no interest in helping with kayaking questions or concerns, and vice versa.

We started an hour late with no explanation. Only one of the four staff members introduced himself to the group, and they talked among themselves until they were sarcastically reminded by the captain to interact with the clients. Once we got to the destination, the kayak guides were nice but did not communicate expectations as far as time, distance, or difficulty of the tour.

We were also promised lunch, snacks, and water and told that we only needed a waterproof jacket ...not the case. There was only about half a gallon of water onboard, and lunch was DIY deli meat sandwiches with vegetables that a guide cut up using a dirty paring knife from a random shelf, which he cleaned on his pants. We were all dehydrated after kayaking for 3 hours, and there were no cups for water. The captain offered us a single dirty metal cup.

The fishing guides were pretty unimpressive, at least in comparison to the staff of the other charter we did in Alaska. We are not fishing experts, and there was a real lack of patience and communication. We felt more like a burden than paying customers, which was disappointing. Other attendees felt the same. Just not a great vibe.

Definitely do a boat trip out of Seward! It s beautiful, but would not recommend this specific company.
