Travis County Jail Review

Visitation website won't accept my valid e-mail address. Therefore, I am unable to schedule a visit to a lonesome inmate.

The details of this Hostel were not clearly advertised on the app I used, but the staff were surprisingly accommodating for the guests that had good attitudes despite being disappointed after the initial tour.

The ad claimed to have single beds in cozy rooms , which was true, but the ensuite toilet was also installed 3 feet from the head of the bed....and the drinking water fountain was connected to the same piping used to flush the toilet. It also failed to mention the initial mandatory communal sleepover .

The all inclusive meals were just 4 pieces of bread, 2 slices of cheese, and 3 slices of bologna, a small bag of chips, and an apple. A small apple. The only vegetarian option was to not eat the meat. The community bathroom smelled strongly of urine upon arrival and we had to dress up in outdated, striped pajamas for the duration of our stay. They have a VERY STRICT NO cancellation and NO early check out policy.

The worst part was that some of the other guests were very loud and it was bothersome at times, but 14 hours later (or it could ve been 14 months, there s no concept of time there), it didn t matter cause I was able to check out, but I did lose my deposit.

All in all, I d say the weight loss almost made it worth it. Almost.

They don't feed gtown men and women enough food, and a lot of them treat you like animals.

Terrible. While in general population, I Saw a man get tased for standing up. They then put a bag over his head and took him into another room. Some female cop was power tripping and started hitting the guy and yelling while 5 other cops were already restraining the guy.

I would feel more comfortable getting the answer from a person. But it went pretty smooth and easy.

I have to agree with the other reviews. The view is great but the food and service have room for improvement. If you re lucky you get to play basketball on the roof in the cage!

This B & B is awful! One bathroom for up to 20 people, sleeping is in the open, and the food was unpalatable. The maitre de INSISTED he take my bags and the formal wear provided was ridiculous.

I bond clients out every once in a while. It seems I m able to get in and meet with the client much quicker than waiting for the county to do the bond. I don t call them or use videoconferencing but the person at the window is always helpful in getting me in to interview the person for the bond.

I'm there somewhat frequently visiting clients and having bonds filled out for jail release. No issues and staff was courteous. I don't use video conferencing and don't call inmates over the phones (only do personal visits) so I can't comment as to those features.

Cold food cold floor, showers are nice great house service sometimes late with food and commasary

What's the point of having a phone number to call and get information, if yall never answer it. But can quickly hang up. This is just horrible! Yall obviously aren't doing your jobs right.

Very uncomfortable bedding. Lighting very dingy. Poor service.

Fast courteous service, and great room with a stunning view of downtown. This place is always busy, and is always over booked..Bubba was a little too accomadating though. Guest satiafaction is the key here

They are part of "Pawsitive Approach" from Guide Dogs of Texas.
"In 2000, Guide Dogs of Texas established a groundbreaking program, PAWSitive Approach, with the Dominguez State Jail in which non-violent offenders prepare puppies-in-training to be future guide dogs. The 8-week-old puppies live at the jail and are raised by a team of two offenders along with a Corrections Officer who socialize the pups and teach them basic obedience, good social manners, and perform daily grooming, which helps establish the important emotional bond between puppy and handler."

Somebody can help me how I can lift the belongings of a prisoner

Absolutely worst service ever!!! Whats the point of having a phone number to call when no one ever answers!?!
