I wish I could give a lower rating.

I wish I could give a lower rating.

Going through Sewrd several time a year in the past summers, I ended up at Miller's landing because of the lack of other bookable campgrounds.

If you manage to be in a cabin or on the waterfront, it will not be too bad. You will just have to deal with the dirtiest bathroom ever.

Bathroom: expensive shower, ground always covered in muddy water (to the staff: mopping doesn't just mean evenly spread dirt over the ground), usually one stall is closed out of three, garbage full off used toilet paper overflowing on the ground (Ok, sewage system cannot take it, but can you empty it more than once a day?), showers full of hairs and dirt permanently.

Campsites: usually a muddy pit, with roots coming out, and a name tag on a tree. You can either set your tent or park your car.

Firewood : expensive (but that is just Alaska) and store by the waterfront, so ALWAYS wet

Garbage: overflowing and disgusting, great bear awareness

Staff: usually friendly, nothing to say about that!

Smelly sewage treatment plant just next door, dogs going around, crows waking you up when sun rises.

The only pro is probably the view when you hang out on the deck.

Go there to enjoy the mood, take a fishing charter or have a coffee on the deck, but please leave before the sun sets and go to a place that cares about the people that sleep there.

I was ashamed to bring people there.
