I am writing this review on my recent trip out with Miller s Landing. I have been on over 30 charters in my 24 years here in Alaska and this outfit is the most un-professional I have ever gone out with. This is my list of issues:

For starters, you are put on a retrofitted gill net boat. To top that off the charter was supposed to start at 0730 but they weren t ready. Then you are loaded onto a min-bus and driven down the beach further to a landing area where you are shuttled to your boat. We didn t even get started till nearly 0830.

Next we head out to Pony Cove and are slammin salmon when all of the sudden the skipper says we are headed out for halibut with only a third of our allotted silvers. Not only was he rude but he was talking BS because he thought he had a boat full of chechakos who didn t know any better.

So we head out to his BIG BOY hole which was 470 feet deep. I have NEVER fished for halibut over 150 ft and have had excellent results. After sitting there for 4 hours without a nibble he moves us closer to shore in 270 ft of water for chicken butts and we were still skunked.
The day ended with us grabbing our limit of rockfish and half our salmon but who can t do that? I have had better results going out on the military charters every time.

In conclusion, don t waste your money or your time. Get yourself a real charter in town. This outfit is a joke.
