Brought our forrester in for an oil change today and the 28 point inspection results was from another Subaru. if I had not looked at it closely I would have gone out and bought a new set of tires to the tune of approximately $700 not a good experience today Spoke with the director of operations at Mike Shaw Subaru was pleasantly satisfied issue was totally resolved

I was told my service would cost $780 and would take 3 hours. The final cost was $781 and it took just over 3 hours. Way to go Mike Shaw Subaru. I feel confident my car is ready for winter 2020 now!

As a working woman, I appreciate the convenience factor of getting my Forrester serviced as quickly as Mike Shaw's service department does. When I pull in to the garage, it is unbelievably clean and I am quickly met to check my car. During the time it takes to do the usual oil change, I enjoy coffee and relax in the waiting area. I bought a 2015 Subaru Outback from Cliff Swaim at Mike Shaw Subaru last week (4/30/15). The price was soooo good that I actually flew in from Kansas City to buy it. Yes, I traveled 650 miles for it. Anyway, the process was absolutely flawless. You know how when you are finalizing the deal with car dealers, and you're just waiting for the "gotcha" to appear where they try to tack on more money or up sell you something you don't want? Well, I was waiting for that, and it never happened. Great price! Upfront, honest, and fair dealings, and they absolutely delivered everything promised, and even a little more. I would not hesitate to buy another car from Cliff at Mike Shaw Subaru. I'd even recommend them to my mom.

Mitch is friendly & honest. When i provided him with quote of differential fluids per axel, he corrected me that the cost is for front & rear. I believe other places may have just agreed as I didn t remember. The service is on time, place is clean & every is nice. Price is competitive.

I can't Thank Mike Shaw Subaru enough for being the stand up dealership and company they are.They have taken care of me again, and again! This time I had been in a rental for over a month, after an accident. When the repair shop finally notified me the car was at my local dealership awaiting a sensor replacement, I called Mike Shaw. Kathy, was kind enough to let me take a loaner while I waited for the sensor to come in and be replaced, while the repair shop kept me in the dark, and I would've paid another week and a half for a rental. I'm so glad to be a part of the Subaru family, Thanks again!!!

Great experience with Austin Elzinga at Mike Shaw Subaru sales. Definitely ask for him when you set an appointment or even if you walk in. We came to test drive a used car (Honda CR-V) because they had a great price posted online. We had a quick test drive, a brief discussion on making sure the vehicle was in our price range, and an easy paperwork process. The only wait was in the queue for financing and while they detailed the car before we drove off the lot. Highly recommended, especially Austin!
They told me I would get 100 dollars for referral. So, I took my friend and he bought a car. The salesman I would hear back from them. It's been a week and no check or a call back. Liars. Do not bring a referral to them.

I took my Subaru here for the first time to get my 30,000 mile service. Everything was fine except the final cost. It was more to get my 30,000 service on my little Impeza than it was for my husband's 30,000 mile service on his full size truck with a competing car company. I will probably look elsewhere for future servicing on my car.

My wife and I were referred to Make Shaw Subaru from family who have purchased a few cars there. To preface, my wife and I live in Oklahoma, this is in Denver. So we were really taking a leap of faith by purchasing a car that we wouldn't even see until it shipped. That said, we couldn't have been more pleased with our experience or purchase.
Cliff, our salesman, was prompt in getting us information, as honest as anyone I've met, and truly cared that we bought the best that we could. It came down to two cars, one was more expensive than the other and had a few more miles. My wife suffers from chronic migraines and absolutely cannot handle cigarette smoke. Cliff inspected the car, drove it around, and called me immediately to tell me that the previous owner was a smoker, and he could still smell it. He said that he just wanted to give us full disclosure. When I asked him if he had to pick between the two, even if the smoke wasn't a factor, what would he pick, he told me the less expensive car. He said that hands down, it was the best bang for the buck and maybe even the best car on the lot.
I write all of that because here, a salesman had the opportunity to sell a more expensive car that had a smoker previously driving it to someone that would not see or smell the car until it was purchased and delivered, and he didn't do that. That's integrity. That's good business.

I purchased a new Outback here almost two years ago, and my very VERY poor customer service with Shortline Subaru since I moved down to south Denver has prompted me to write this review. The buying experience was great and I was never pressured or influenced to buy anything I didn't need. The facilities here are much nicer than the Shortline facilities and the maintenance department is miles better. I never had an issue with the maintenance in the 5-ish times I brought my car in, whereas on the very first time I brought it in down south led to a long, costly, and poorly managed experience. Mike Shaw is now worth me driving an hour north to get things done right.
Drove 40 miles to look at a used car. It was filthy on the outside, guess why? It was covered in undisclosed hail damage! Salesman didn't think I'd notice under the dirt? Took it for a test drive, and decided it wasn't the car for us. As customers, we have the right to say " no thank you" Salesman was extremely rude when we decided to leave. Then.... he sent a very unprofesional text to my wife! If the manager wants to see it, I have it saved.
I was very happy with my recent service experience at Mike Shaw Subaru. I feel privileged to have worked with Service Adviser Tim Dreger. He expertly handled all my questions and concerns about the repair I was having completed. Subaru is lucky to have him as an employee. His level of concern about my satisfaction with the service experience was extraordinary.
TLDR: I had a painless, efficient, and exhaustively positive experience at Mike Shaw Subaru and would recommend my sales team (Austin Elzinga and Keith Traczynski) to anyone looking to buy a new Subaru.
A little back story: I recently moved to Colorado and knew I needed some additional horsepower to make it up these mountainous roads/enjoy the off-road adventure CO has to offer. I knew I wanted an SUV and had always been told every true Coloradoan owns a Subaru - so I started looking around online to see the different models offered.
Once I had narrowed it down, I started the sales process by requesting a vehicle quote through Mike Shaw's website. Almost immediately, I was contacted by Keith Traczynski for more information about what I was looking for in my next vehicle and when a good time would be to come and see the car in person. When I made it in to look at the vehicles/hopefully make a purchase, due to unforeseen circumstances, Keith was running a bit behind for our appointment. Rather than force to me sit idle and wait, he introduced me to his associate, Austin Elzinga.
Austin stepped in quickly, ensured he understood what I was looking for (even taking the time to further explain all packages to me to make sure the vehicle was meeting my list of wants/needs), and then assisted me through the negotiation process with the finance manager.
Both Austin and Keith were very professional, transparent, and maintained constant communication with me throughout the entire process. I always felt heard and respected at Mike Shaw and all my needs were taken care of. All-in-all, Austin and Keith truly exceeded my expectations from start to finish and I would happily recommend either of them to anyone looking to purchase a new Subaru.

Purchased a pre-owned Subaru Forester over the Labor Day holiday. It was a great experience. Shekhar was a pleasure to work with. He was thorough in providing me with information on all my options for both vehicles and financing. Terrible experience with tacky, insulting salesman named Matt G. Will never return. There's too many places to get a Subaru in Denver to be treated badly. He waved off other salesman, telling them not to waste their time with us. He called our research a figment of my imagination. I went to another dealership two days later to buy a car at a better price, and received confirmation that Matt did, in fact, gaslight and lie to us.
DO NOT SHOP HERE! I purchased a Crosstrek from Jaime in July 2018. When he explained the features of the car, he said it came with satellite radio, pointed to where I could find it on the console, and said he would need to activate the XM radio trial. After 3 weeks and one follow up email and phone call from me, he told me the model of the car does not come with satellite radio. I was disappointed that a salesperson did not know the features of the car and frustrated that after the purchase, I did not have the features I was promised. I called Matt, the sales manager, who said he would send me a $50 gas card - tiny compensation for an uninformed sales team. After 3 weeks, the gas card had not arrived in the mail. I visited the dealership and Matt said he forgot to send it. A week later, I m still waiting for the gas card, and an email from Jaime said they sent it to the wrong address - even though Matt wrote down my address and I confirmed it. Jaime did not respond to my email when I asked how that happened. I do not feel like a valued customer and will not be returning to the dealership for future purchases, nor will I be recommending that anyone go here to purchase a vehicle.
Update: The customer service department offered to overnight me a $100 check. It has been over a week, and I have not received a check. Three messages to Jocelyn, the customer service representative, have not been returned. I reached out to the general manager weeks ago with no response. I have contacted the regional office. Please do not shop here.

I am a first time owner of a pre-certified 2018 Subaru! I found my Outback online on a Sunday, left a VM, and Monday morning salesman Ricky Vang called and we had made a deal by noon! He was very helpful and patience with all my questions. Since I live in Basalt, CO, he offered to drive the car to me so I wouldn't have to drive to Denver. Another salesman, King, drove another car so Ricky could get a ride back to Denver. It was the easiest car purchase I've ever experienced!! Ricky and King were so polite and both helped with the tutorial on how my car works and all the features. After a couple days of owning my new car, I noticed a couple issues with it, so I immediately called Ricky. He and his manager quickly came up with a solution and we worked together to resolve the problems. I would recommend Mike Shaw Subaru and the used car team if anyone is looking for a non-pressure, friendly and satisfying experience to buy a Subaru!!! My experience at Mike Shaw Subaru with the Service Department has been very good to say the least. Dustin who I think is the Service Manager and Tommy the service technician both helped me last year with my cigarette lighter that I use to power up my cell phone, because it was not working. Found out the fuss had blown. I had no money with me to pay, but they still helped me even though I have been jobless and homeless for over a year. Dustin has helped me a few other times with information on my brakes and getting me a few more fusses for my lighter. My car is in really bad shape and should be in the junk yard because of all the issues it has with being 21 years old. Thank you Mike Shaw for having really good employees working for you to help folks out like me. I really appreciate their help. Thank you again and God Bless.
Mike Shaw Subaru is a dealer that genuinely cares for each and everyone of their customers. Their care applies through thick and thin. I had a dispute with them over a miscommunication on pricing. After our conflict I thought I would never return to Mike Shaw. Mark the service manager called me after he found out about the dispute. I was hesitant to give Mike Shaw a second chance but Mark really demonstrated his desire to fix their mistake. I encourage you to do business with Mike Shaw Subaru. I want to give Beth (Service Department) and Mike Shaw Subaru 5 stars for how they handled a time sensitive situation for me. After calling 3 other shops discussing a transmission issue and I was facing quickly expiring extended warranty (I did not even realize I had this warranty until nearing the end), no other shop was even willing to look at my vehicle to determine if it is covered under warranty until late October - past my warranty time - Beth and her team got me in to make sure I did not lose my extended coverage!!!!

My husband and I went in because our lease was up on our current Subaru. We just had a baby and needed to upgrade to something bigger than the Legacy we currently had. Tommy Lee went over all our options and what would be ideal for a new car.
We went on a test drive in the new 2020 Ascent and Tommy was patient with me when I asked to see all the colors they had, including different interiors! With Tommy s help he got us into the car that made sense for our growing family! He checked in a few days later to see how we were doing with our new car and if there was anything he could help us with!
Edit: Andrew called me and was super helpful with making this right. I actually haven't had customer service like that in a long time. __________ Not sure how I feel.... they replaced my head gaskets on my 2007 outback in 2014 for $2600 and now they re shot again. I only got 38000 miles out of it. Oil pours straight through the engine now. I called and they said they only have a 1 year warranty so it s not their problem. I guess 5 years is quite a while, but I thought at least they could give me a discount to do the repairs again.
Staff was very friendly. Unfortunaty there were mistakes in every department. Staff corrected and accomodated me. I would not buy another car at Mike Shaw due to lack of trust.

We came in to buy a new car after our 2019 Imprezza after it being totaled last week. Alex helped us and was immediately understanding of what we wanted and made sure to be realistic about what car we could get in order to match our last payment. We ll always come back to Subaru when it is time for a new car and couldn t recommend Alex enough. He triple checked for the color we wanted and was able to come up with something on the lot that worked perfectly.
I purchased my vehicle here almost 3 years ago and had a great experience. It hasn't ended there. These guys take great care of my beautiful Forester. Today I had my 30,000 mile inspection. It took quite a while, which I was ready for since they gave me plenty warning ahead of time. Chris Sparks was my service advisor and kept me informed at all times. I really appreciated the extra care and time he spent going over everything with me. I highly recommend buying a car there and even more, servicing your car there. I have used Mike Shaw Subaru to service my vehicle for the past 3 years and overall liked the work they do and their friendly service. They are efficient and always try to get your car back to you on time. I also like the report they produce that shows which parts of your vehicle pass, fail or are under caution. I got the latest report that said I need $3,500 worth of work with over $2,400 of this associated with leaking head and oil pan gaskets. I asked another dealer to quote me this job and they were able to do it for much less so I didn't use Mike Shaw. I was shocked when the other dealer called me to say my head and oil pan gaskets were not leaking and that it was my oil pressure valves. I ended up paying $400 to fix these ($2,000 less than what Mike Shaw would have done and I got the issue fixed). I now cannot trust Mike Shaw and won't be back. They price jobs and fail vehicles for the wrong reason and thus inflate their business. I called to complain and talked to a Steve. I also emailed Ryan in their service dept. Neither of them have gotten back to me.
