I recently purchased a CRV from Midtown Honda. It was a pleasure dealing with Nick Gagliardi from beginning to end. When I was first introduced to Nick, I felt comfortable. I felt like I could trust him. I have had some stressful experiences with other auto purchases. I would not hesitate to recommend Midtown Honda and Nick Gagliardi to others. I would also go back to make other future purchases.

Bought my very first vehicle from Midtown Honda and it was a really great experience. Even through a pandemic the staff I worked with at this dealership was super responsive and helpful through the whole process. I got an amazing deal and a great interest rate (for me and my age) and couldn t be happier!! Thank you Nikoo, Maria, Sandra, and the receptionist- (cant remember her name), and everyone else who helped me there. I highly recommend and will definitely be back.

I agree and disagree with several of the complaints/comments in regards to Midtown Honda.

I have used their service for about 3 years and I am only now changing dealerships/companies simply due to the lack of power and features Honda has.

First things first, the service department. A little patience never hurt anybody. I don't mind having to wait an hour to get serviced as I'm not the typical Canadian always in a RUSH to do something. They are friendly, informative, and helpful and provide good service for your Honda vehicle. Charging rates are standard and the repairs are done well.

Secondly The SALES Department. On purchasing my first honda i was way overcharged. I ended up paying 26,000 for a vehicle that's 12,000 simply because of Interest (i had like a 200% Interest Rate that still astounds me). The 2008 honda civic had some weird issues that were never really remedied, such as clicking brakes which could have been the transmission for all i knew. So i ended up trading it in for a 2015, Firstly i wanted the SI Model. Then after completing my down payment, signing forms and such i was told that they cannot give me the SI i wanted and i could only really afford to buy the lx, which is what i'm driving now. I wanted a vehicle in standard, within the 30 days i had busted my knee and now I am very limited on how much i can drive before having severe pain which stops me from driving (I avoid any reason that would get me in a collision, so knee pain driving a standard (Manual) vehicle is good enough to plant me at home). I was trapped by the sales department in regards to purchasing this 2015 vehicle. I was less than impressed.

All in all, i do not want another honda vehicle. The brand is tarnished for me. The cars are slow, always behind the curve in comparison to other cars.

Shoot im considering getting a volkswagen. That should tell you how much my opinion of Honda has been tarnished.

I recently had a service adviser tell me that I could bring my car in the next day for a new part to be installed but that he would call me the next morning to confirm the part had come in. When he didn't call by noon, I called several times and got voicemail. On my last call, after waiting on hold for more than 30 minutes, I was told that he wasn't working that day and that in any case I wouldn't be able to bring the car in to have the part installed because I hadn't made an appointment.

This is also not the first time I was put on hold for an inordinate length of time. It's been my experience that this dealership is understaffed in the service department and is perfectly content to send you to voicemail during busy periods. While I'm sure this saves them some money, having dealt with several other dealerships around Toronto, this has not been my experience. Other dealerships I've dealt with have policies in place to ensure customers can always speak with a service representative quickly.

Also, they sent out an email asking for feedback. I sent a lengthy reply to the address provided, which bounced back to me with an autoresponse indicating that apparently the feedback email account only receives internal email. This is both incredibly frustrating but also hilariously incompetent.

Also, when I went on the site to try to find the proper feedback email, it wasn't listed. However, I tried using the live chat feature. The person (?) responding didn't know the answer but directed me to the website for further information. Not helpful.

Set up a meeting with Peter Fin,customer renewal manager,for 4 o'clock,finished work a little earlier so I came in sooner. Asked the receptionist as per his request thru email up on arrival to let him know I'm there; the receptionist looks at me,pauses,then asks one her co-workers if Peter is in....I realise something is amiss....nevertheless she onquiers further and upon coming back she tells me that he is! Wonderful news! A few mins later a gentleman named Serge comes out and asks how can he assist me,i look at him and tell him I am waiting for a Peter Fin. He says that he does not meet with people personally and he merely sets up appointments with them and then passes them off to a sales consultant....hmmm,interesting. I tell him how unprofessional that sounds then he tells me that that's how the business is! Okay,I ask for the manager of the dealership and he goes and looks for one....a few mins later a gentleman claiming to be the new car sales manager comes up and asks me how he can assist me,I tell him that I set up a meeting with Peter Fin,I show him the emails,and I'm now passed off to a sales rep without even seeing the guy...I told them that this practice is professional and disrespectful!
If I make an appointment with a dentist then show up and the dentist sends his assistant to help me....guess what!? Nooo! I set up an appointment with the dentist!!
Midtownt Honda,this practice is completely unprofessional and disrespectful,I came in with hopes of getting a new car but this so called manager is ruining your image!

Terrible customer service. The initial lady who answered the phone had a quite a bit of attitude. I called before I left Scarborough about a Civic Si and I was told I'd get a call back, After about 30mins or so of no call back I drove down. The dealership was busy when I walked in, but I noticed quite a few sales reps walking around not helping anyone. After waiting for 15-20mins I'm told the car was sold 4-5 hours ago.

Horrible wasted 1 month of my time the finance manger was a scammer told me I need finance protect to get approve and told me I wasn't approve without it when he told me I was finally approve on the day I was supposed to pick up my car he was fired, all the paper work he did was incorrect, the pricing he did was not approve by upper management, they told me that they couldn't honor the price and told me in order to get approve that I must get rid of my current loan. They told me all of this on the day of delivery which at the end I just took my deposit back and wasted 7 trips to the dealer and 1 month times

Very poorly treated by a clueless or new salesman and just had to leave and walk it off. Came back a half hour later and most of the staff were watching the world cup game. I was seen walking in by salesmen sprawled out on a couch but not one made an attempt to meet me. It was surreal and as if nobody even cared about making a sale. I had to walk out for a second time. I have never left a negative review in my life but this experience was too surreal and not positive at all. I am a serious buyer interested in a new Honda and walked into the same dealership twice today to try to buy a new car and it was as if nobody wanted to sell a car to me.

I've been to many many car dealerships, and have purchased several cars in my lifetime and I have to say that my experience at Midtown Honda was surprisingly pleasant and even enjoyable! I rarely find purchasing a car to be an enjoyable experience and most of the time I feel like I'm being taken advantage of, and often leave feeling rather gross. Midtown Honda was not like that at all. I felt like I was speaking to real people, who weren't trying to sell me something - even though they obviously were! Darryl was a fantastic salesperson - very likeable, very real and down to earth and actually really pleasant to be around. Guiseppe in finance was also fantastic to deal with - very enjoyable experience. And the receptionist - whose name I never learned, was also really really pleasant and again delightfully real and down to earth. Thanks everyone, you really made the experience of buying a car much less painful.

Yesterday i had an appointment with Midtown Honda (on dufferin st across from yorkdale mall). I called the service department on June 14 2016 to inquire as to how much front rotors and pads would cost for a honda crv 06 and explained how i think it's my front brakes because 'when i drive on highway at high speed then apply the brakes the brake pedal pulses and the steering wheel shakes but if going low speed it's fine'. She advised they would have to inspect the brakes first and cost $38.99 but if anything is found wrong with the brakes i will not get charged and that front rotors and pads are $388. She advised she would call back to tell me if this was correct and i instructed her to call my home and leave a message as i was at work. I called later in afternoon and she advised yes $38.99 to inspect brakes but she was not correct about the price? she spoke with service advisor who advised anywhere from $550-580. I made an inspection appointment for June 15 2016 at 1230pm with the service advisor i use to deal with.
I arrived on time yesterday and spoke with service advisor and told her i believe i need to replace my front rotors and pads and told her just because of the way it's been driving. She asked if i'm hearing a 'screeching sound' and i said no. She asked what i'm experiencing and i told her 'when driving on highway at high speed then apply brake the brakes pulse and the steering starts to shake but if going low speed 40km it's okay'. She advised same i would to get brake inspection and cost was $36.99? then be able to tell me. I asked her how long it would take to do inspection and she advised 1hr as there was a car ahead of me. I told her i would wait in their waiting room. I also confided in her and told her 2yrs ago i had 'something' done to the front brakes but don't know what because the garage i was dealing with wanted cash and i foolishly gave them cash. I also let her know i let a friend of mine drive it as well (he has more knowledge of cars then i do) and he suspected same thing but told me to get it checked. That is why i went to the dealer to find out 'WHAT' was wrong and what repair was needed. She returned and advised me 'you're right you need front brakes and because steering wheel is shaking so much we checked and you need back brakes as well?' I was in total 'DISBELIEF' and advised her in a room FULL of people that i recently had the rear brakes done-have the receipt rotors and pads? her reply was 'oh, they must be aftermarket?'. I had rear brakes done in feb 2016? I felt angry, upset, in total DISBELIEF with all the DISHONESTY that went on from pricing to 'MAKING UP UNNECESSARY REPAIRS THAT ARE REQUIRED'. At no point, did she say rear brakes are warped, or 'whatever the reason was after their inspection'? I hesitated asking my next question but i did and asked regarding the price? she advised $590? i questioned as to why all the different prices from everyone (I would expect there is a firm charge for front brakes? now thinking how honest or FAIR is she being with pricing now?). She advised she would have to see if they had them in stock (if not i would have to wait 1 hr for them to get part delivered) and returned shortly after saying she did and wanted to know if i wanted to get repair done. Again, in all honesty i wanted to WALK OUT i hesitated and didn't feel comfortable driving anywhere just wanted to get repair done. I told her i would go to yorkdale mall and asked how long it would take she said 1 or 2hrs. I got to yorkdale 105pm and returned to dealer 200pm.
I guess my valid concerns (especially after purchasing 2 hondas from same dealership + taking them to said dealership for service) does not warrant a response? I agree there is nothing wrong with the vehicles it all has to do with service dept as well as dishonest. by said service dept.and price 'changing' constantly. Along with no tech name on my inspection sheet (plus having both copies?) i didn't get a survey from honda re: my experience???? thanx for caring not a pleasant experience

Bought a used car in May and was told I would be getting new winter tires and new breaks with it. In October I was told by my mechanic I needed to replace my brakes and that the winter tires were the wrong size. After 2 weeks of back and forth phone calls and emails with a number of employees, and being turned away at the dealership once after I was told to come in (at least 2 hours of my time wasted), I finally got winter tires that fit my car (but are slightly smaller than the Manufacturer Recommended size that I requested). In regards to the breaks, they initially tried to blame me for my driving habits for the reason why they might need to be replaced so soon but when I asked for a service record of them replacing the breaks when I purchased the vehicle, they didn't have one and they started backtracking, saying that they never promised to given me new breaks.

We recently purchased a 2013 VW Golf MK6 2.5L from Rob. Being first time purchasers and new drivers, the prospect of buying a car was daunting. Rob, however, made it a phenomenal experience for us. His sales technique was relaxed and sincere. He gave us numerous tips on purchasing an used vehicle during our shopping around phase and we ultimately settled with him because several sales from other dealerships were blatantly trying to cash in on our inexperience.

The dealership itself has a fairly modern feel to it, and the hours cater very well to late shifts. Everyone was friendly and the coffee was not so bad.

All in all we both highly recommend the dealership and Rob in particular for anyone purchasing a new or used vehicle.

In 2017, we bought honda touring 2017. There was rattling sound in the front all the time. Visited the honda midtown dealer Wallapulli three times. He did nothing. All three times he said he and the technician dont know what is wrong with it. And told us we need to talk to the honda company. On the third time we called, the lady named Meena, customer care HONDA company, picked our call, instead of solving out problem, she told me how important dealer is to them. And said we need to make new appointment with another dealer...and we were pushed here and there. Then frustrated went back to our sales man Valeri, who in-turn duped us into selling another honda touring 2019 in its place. This one after 2 weeks is making tik tik sound continuously, like mini explosive...all the time, in the front. Service man or dealer says we have to come next week since all appointments are packed. One can die with continuous sound in the car, no-one will care. I want to give no stars because we are waiting since one hour in the service center mid town and still the service manager has no time to listen to our complain. Feeling kicked in the tummy alright! No stars! Horrible. Broken vehicle sold to us with huge smile both times. Never never HONDA again!

He was listening to my needs and wasn't over pushy. He gave me a great feeling during the buying and try to made the process smooth, relaxing and comfort for me.

My contact (Victoria) and the used car Manager (Ned) have been absolutely fantastic to deal with. Living in Alberta they did everything possible to get me the best deal and help me with shipping to Alberta. First of all, I have Honda Plus on my car and want to maintain records for future and thus went to the dealership for oil change because of the maintenance light. I was not sure about getting the other services done there. It is only after talking with Chris White, I went for the other services. This guy has amazing ability to explain the mechanics of car in simple terms and why the car needs that service (I don't do engines). Also his sense of humour is second to none. I am kind of a person who usually don't write reviews on one instance or experience. I am writing based on my experience as well as of my friends dealing with Chris white and Midtown Honda. He is the reason I go to Midtown Honda besides good service. He will make sure that you get great service and get more than what you pay for. Cheers!!!

This review is specifically for Mike A. Alaghband and not Midtown Honda. Mike is hands down one of the best car dealers my husband and I have ever met. He was kind, patient and transparent. He actually recommended and wanted what's best for us and didn't just want to make a quick sale. He made sure we were at peace with all the features and the condition of the car, as well as the deal that we finally ended up with. This was our second visit to midtown, after the first one that left a bitter taste in our mouth..because of the extra fees being forced on us on top of the listed price, and the way sales tactics were being used on us. We're so glad to have met Mike during our second visit, and even though we went a little over our budget, we're glad the deal was straightforward, clean and gives us a peace of mind. Thank you, Mike - this 5 star rating is purely for you.

The long version,

I usually have more important things to do with my time than complain about bad service but sometimes one has an experience so singularly terrible that one feels duty-bound to spend time documenting it. This is such an experience.

The events are as follows;

1.) I found a used car I was interested in via autotrader and contacted this dealership to check it's availability and set a time to view it.
2.) In the subsequent call between the salesperson and myself, I state that I have a car to trade in.
3.) We agreed on a time (6.45 p.m) and in preparation for this I drove my car to work (I work downtown Toronto and I always use transit), paid for expensive downtown parking for the day and then spent over an hour in rush hour traffic getting to the dealership.
4.) I meet the salesperson and I state that I'm interested in leaving with definite numbers i.e. trade-in for my car, any discounts and interest rate on the car and my monthly payments if I decide to finance it.
5.) I'm asked if I would make the deal today to which I respond I cannot as I need to discuss it with my wife but if the number's look right I would move quickly on the deal.
6.) The salesperson states he is not able to do an appraisal of the trade-in value of my car unless I commit to a sale tonight (it is now close to 7 p.m). Apparently this is company policy.

Frankly, such a policy sounds ill though-out at best but every business has the right to implement whatever policies they feel work for them.

However, this policy should have been stated upfront when the salesperson knew a trade-in was involved thus saving me - a potential customer - the trouble of over 2 hours in rush hour traffic in addition to downtown parking expense with nothing to show for it.

Overall a truly pathetic level of customer service.

Midtown Honda was the 3rd dealership we went to but we found exactly what we were looking for. Our salesperson Jack was very helpful, knowledgeable and took care of everything. It was a very nice experience and would more than likely come back for a new car in the future. We managed to find a car that was 4 years old but looked and felt brand new, we are very satisfied with what we purchased and practically drove it around all day when we picked it up. Thanks Jack and we will definately contact you when we plan on coming back.

I came from outside of Toronto to purchase a used vehicle. I was treated with an unexpected level of service. The salesman (Tony) made sure that I was completely taken care of along with every detail of the buying process. Tony even came to pick me up over an hour away, during rush hour traffic. When we arrived at the dealer for pickup the vehicle was spotless and ready to go. Great experience!

I bought a vehicle from this place and won't ever recommend them. At the time of the purchase everybody was nice to me, salesman and finance people. That day I noticed stains in the seats (cloth seats). Salesman said the vehicle has not been detailed yet but he will take care of it. At the time of the delivery the seats were wet, this made the color looks even. After a week the seats finally get dry out and for my surprise the stains still there. Such an unprofessional treatment, they did not even try to remove the stains.

I called Mid Town Honda on Wednesday May 14th and Friday May 16th to verify that you have stock of the front rotors for my car as the Downtown Honda location did not have them in stock. The parts guy on the phone indicated you had them in stock and they can be picked up on Saturday May 17th.

I drove all the way from downtown to your dealership this morning for 8am only to be told by Glen (Parts) that you don t have them in stock and none of the dealerships within 100km s have them in stock. Glen added that it is not a part you typically stock. This completely ruined my weekend because I was planning on leaving the city for the weekend. I can t drive the car on the highways because the rotors are warped which causes the car to shake every time I press on the brakes at higher speeds.

I would have made other plans if you had told me that you don t have them in stock when I called. I would have placed an order for them and paid for them. Instead the parts guy didn t take a few steps to check if they were physically in stock and ruined our weekend. I don t think you would appreciate having you long weekend messed up due to carelessness. I certainly don t appreciate you wasting my time!
