Lack of communication and slow response times. Unimpressed.

I no longer live full time in the UK but have assets that need to be covered by a Will. Working with Helen Cottington of Burt Brill & Cardens was to put it mildly a breeze. We had one Zoom call, I downloaded the necessary forms and once completed I emailed them back. I received a draught copy by email, made a couple of changes and the hard copy was sent back to me by FedEx.. I signed and had it witnessed and then returned it to Helen for safe keeping. The whole process was simple and efficient.

We've recently revised our Wills. Burt, Brill and Carden's solicitor, Helen Cottington, was courteous, professional and patient explaining the process carefully to us. We received an excellent service and would recommend the firm.

I found Burt Brill & Cardens whilst searching for probate specialists in the UK (from overseas) I was impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of their website so I made contact. I was lucky enough to be taken care of by Stephanie Batts, who was extremely gentle, kind and informative. At first very helpful and referred to a lawyer but then webchat was useless and telephone staff were rude very misleading telephone staff, very disappointed with service . Take all the personal information then say you are not in their area when you are.

I think it s reasonable to expect an impartial, non judgemental and professional service from solicitors, but what I got from a woman called Maureen was far from that.
I asked for advice in relation to not reporting undue financial gain and she told me I had a moral issue . Thanks Maureen, you may be right but if I d been after being scorned I would have called on my mother instead.

We got our UK wills done here earlier this year, which required close coordination with our US lawyers who were handling our US wills. The advice we got from BB&C was excellent, and the work was done quickly without any fuss or drama. When our circumstances changed and we wanted to make some small changes later, this was also done well. I was very happy, and recommend them very highly.

Overall my experience was very good. I had Madeleine dealing with my conveyancing and I highly recommend her. Always answered the phone or replied promptly to my emails. Friendly and professional. It was my first house sale so had lots of questions and was always satisfied with how they were answered and how I was treated. Good value as far as I can tell by asking around. Will use again.
