This place sent a VERY misleading piece of mail that told me I was pre-approved for a home refinance in the amount of $218,000. It obviously had my credit report and said I could take the extra cash to pay off that balance plus $10,000 in cash. Wow, I thought. So I fill in the application, get a call and find out they can only cash out 80% of the appraised value. Well my house is worth about what the offer letter was for. Add on the $14,000 in refinancing cost they don t mention and it doesn t work out on any planet. May be a decent company if you have 50% home equity but don t even get the hard credit inquiry if you have less than that.
