Mercure Gold Coast Resort Review

A great hotel set-up. We really enjoyed our stay here.
The rooms are large and have wonderful views over the golf course where you can sit and have a drink on the balcony.
The staff are exceptional and very friendly. Everyone from Shandella the manager to Janelle who cleaned our room were great people. Ben on the front desk a delight to deal with. Special mention to Tony and Ellen in the restaurant who made our anniversary night special. To Exec Chef Matt and his staff congratulations on getting the pork belly RIGHT not an easy one to do, a great meal.
The resort is close to major attractions and shopping centers.
Free undercover parking is a big plus the only downside of the whole trip is the pesky birds who get into the carpark at night.
A great Mercure and I have stayed in plenty of them. We will be back.

Set in trees around a golf course, it was quiet and a very relaxing weekend. The hotel could use some renovations but the staff were very friendly and at times went above and beyond in their service. We were staying there to go on a hot air balloon ride. We were picked up at 3.30am from The Mercure to then head to the take off point.
We had the buffet breakfast and there was lots of choices.
Make a special mention about one of the cleaners who left a really lovely note telling us to have a really great day and it definitely made my day reading it when we got back to the room. Thank you Jennifer

Great experience and facilities, staff can't do enough for you

The room and hallway doors are very heavy duty. Great from a security and storm protection standpoint. The problem is when your drunk neighbors come home. BOOM, BANG, CRASH, as the drunks open and close their door at 2:00, 3:00, 4:00 and 5:00am. Forget getting a nights sleep! The rooms say 'No smoking" but guests smoke in the hall vestibule and on their balconies. Smoke smell everywhere. Not going back.

We were part of a group which has been staying at Mercure at this time of the year for several years. As usual, the catering was very good and the staff helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with functional appliances.

Dining room staff especially Mary fantastic. Girls on front desk could be more friendly (learn from dining staff )
Room freshened up daily. Bottled water only left in room when asked for.
Breakfast great choice. Bacon cooked to hard.
Bathroom fans did not work so steam in bathroom difficult doing hair after with condensation running down walls. Tiny notice on mirror how fans operate . Hook up fans to a switch which takes away steam or be able to leave bathroom door open. Did not like notifications putting it back on to guest if instructions not adhered to fine of $1200 would be charged to guest if fire brigade called out. Surely better system required.
I thought the fee of $35 for video link for 24 hrs. Disgusting. Many hotels give video links free. TV. Remote needs up date single menu for one station one programme at a time. As a hearing challenged person & so as not to disturbe guests in rooms next door I like to have sub titles on TV. .The young man on the desk very helpful got the maintenance chap to come and help but the system you have does not allow sub titles. Have you heard of hearing loop on trains in cinemas, person with hearing aids can tune hearing aid to that loop.
I believe if you cater for people and their needs they will return. Although I have given this feed back to you. I must say I enjoyed my weeks stay and felt very safe as a single lady in the hotel.

Amazing service. Outdoor areas are stunning. Rooms are nice and clean but could do with some updating.

We did hot air ballooning and had a champagne buffet breakfast. The ballooning was amazing. Food was a bit old, could be kept warmer as well.

The staff were very accommodating. Rooms were clean. Food was nice. The spa in the pool area was quite cold though.

Nice setting. Parking on side of the street. Not sure if there was a carpark as there were no signs

Stayed here back in May after checking out of the Novotel. The rooms were a little dated but comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet was very good however there was a tour in and it was catered to them mostly. The pool and hot tubs were wonderful as well as the fitness center. This would be our hotel of choice in the Gold Coast because it is quiet and relaxing rather than the busy main city areas.

Very shady. When we arrived the reception area was full of Ambulance and Fire Brigade. People stuffed into elevators, well above weight limit rooms very, very small, concierge RUDE, Restaurant staff, Very RUDE, Overall, would never stay thetr again and wouldn't even recommend to my worst enemy.

Sadly I was attending a conference nearby at the Royal Pines. I wished I had some more time to enjoy the facility.

Will not go there again the place is in 6 pluse blocks. Parking is free but it's best in best served. Come back to your hotel at night expect to park on the street.

The rooms are a good size and layout. The food was reasonably good and the staff I dealt with were friendly.

The room was dated. Even though the booking was in my wife's name, the TV welcome Mr. Neho. Dinner was absolutely rubbish (my wife had to send her's back to the kitchen). We had to call reception twice, once to book dinner and another time to talk down ice, both times the person on the phone was quite rude. Completely disappointed

Love this place soo coming back the people in reception nice people rooms are clean big enough for my family my children loved it had lovely sleep beatiful place i just love it i would recommend to family and friends best thing about it was worth my money the food was awesome definitely a 5 star for me thank you for your lovely service

What a joke.
I paid a fair price to stay here and I am extremely disappointed. Not only was the main pool overcrowded, but the so called adults pool area, wasn't exactly an adults pool area. The place was a disorganised chaotic nightmare at check in, there was no information in the room about the area or hotel at all. There was also no safety information in the room at all so in the case of an emergency, I would not have known where to assemble. Whoever was in the room upstairs must have had a heard of elephants in there as the noise woke me in the middle of the night. Unable to book a massage as the beauty place was shut, and you cant tell me that it's because of covid-19. Our meal order at the green restaurant and bar were messed up, drinks took forever (would have been quicker to make it myself). I am seriously considering going home a day early and losing my money on what should have been a relaxing weekend for my birthday and a wind down from working in healthcare for 6 months solid with next to no time off.
This is not a 4-star resort. This is bogan-ville. Accor should be ashamed to have their brand represented by this attrocity.

Good value, nice golf course view, fair front desk service, average buffet breakfast. Modern room but old aged building, no elevators so it will be a hard journey for old people to lift their luggage to third floor.
There were many overseas tourists during my stay so did expect a busy and noisy period in the morning especially in the restaurant.

Quality and service within the Accor style. Attentive service staff. Satisfying meals. Some dishes quite special.

Went here for a small event. Looked like a nice hotel with a nice golf course across the road. I didn't stay here so I can not comment on the rooms, but if you're looking for a hotel away from the beach and the bustle of the city, this is the place for you!

Service and attention to detail was very disappointing

I throughoutly enjoyed my stay at Mercure Gold Coast Resort. I love the surrounding that it was located. Enjoyed the morning buffet and the provided daily bus shuttle to the event I was attending. Room was tidied when requested. WIFI internet could have been speedy but it was slow or no reception. Overall I had a great n enjoyable time staying there.

Attended for professional event. Outdated decor throughout hotel, but clean enough. However ducted air conditioning vents were leaking and moulding. Dripped into food which was already not on par with other venues in the Gold Coast. Adequate for a simple one day seminar but would not recommend for anything larger.

Loved the geta away. Nothing too much trouble. Will return soon

Very average place, many other and better options close by. This place would suit sporting clubs on away trips or school groups.

Huge well appointed rooms in a resort style setting and close to everything the GC has to offer. The staff were uber helpful and the facilities on par.

Lovely location, well appointed rooms and a premium breakfast buffet experience.

We were only there for one night so it was hard to really experience everything but for what we did it was great.

room was good and so was the a/c no foxtell movie channels just sport and news.. needs a microwave at least as there is nothing to cook with don't take any food except noodles at least there is a kettle for your cup of noodles the shower pressure is pretty bad and the food you get if you order is very small portions the pizza is only the worth getting..the buffet breakfast was the only good thing apart from the bacon that was not very nice tasted cheap and rubbery even when they brought out fresh bacon everything else good over all i think buffet should be $20 a head .i would only come back for the buffet .

We went Mercure because parents like golf. Unfortunately, it was raining for whole 2 days. The golf area looks good. Also the breakfast was awesome. My family like it. Kids ask to come again.

We found all the staff to be very friendly, and the room was of a very good standard.
Size wise it was larger than a lot we've stayed in, and with three adults sharing it that made for a much more comfortable stay.
It was also fairly central to everything we wanted to do, and we weren't caught up in the madhouse that a lot of the hotels/motels closer to the main street are.

The resort has a very relaxing atmoshpere however the food and drinks are obscenely priced. But they do have free tennis and pools which is nice

We stayed here for a few nights and loved it so much we came back the next week for another night before flying out. A few little hiccups happened but the staff were very welcoming and helpful and sorted it out straight away. Definitely one of my new favourite places :)

Check in was efficient and all staff were very friendly. The restaurant food was delicious. Personal note from the room staff was unexpected but greatly appreciated, a very good customer experience. Very relaxing looking out over the golf course, watching the wildlife and the sunset. Close to Broadbeach and shopping.

As usual, all positive. Staff are always obliging, helpful and courteous.

Verry expensive but the buffet was amazing. The service from the staff was exelent. I would recomend this to anhone in the Gold Coast.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities appeared great, however the spa was not operational. This was disappointing as I deliberately book places with spas because of chronic back pain. My main concern was the noise, the doors are very noisy when they open and close particularly in a dual key room as I was. I could hear way too much from other rooms such as showering and toilet flushing. There was a group of very noisy people coming from a function at 2.30am one morning. Overall I had a very disturbed sleep which effected my performance in meetings and other activities. I wouldn't stay there again. It is also quite isolated so unless you love golf I am sure there are more suitable places to stay.

Hi, I found the rooms very nice and well designed. Unfortunately we were unable to park in the undercover carpark. We were forced to park over the road in Palm Meadows. As a according member I felt this was very ordinary, carpark should be located to each unit to avoid this. Fortunately it was not raining.

The transportation location is very convenient and the sound insulation is not enough. The room is large and can sleep very well.

Nice place but a little out of the way unless you're a keen golfer.
No undercover walkways when it rains.

I absolutely love Gold Coast and all it has with it. The Mercure hotel is one of the best hotels I have stayed at with my budget. The rooms were very clean and the staff were very friendly. Great for both family and couples. Very close to Cavill avenue and has great reception

Beautiful King bedroom, comfortable bed, awesome and very big jet spabath... Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and left feeling relaxed...will definitely come back!

Love love love this resort!! My room faces the golf course and the view is good. I love sitting in the balcony for meals and listen to the birds and watch the golfers. Best stay ever!

I found the staff extremely helpful, our room was spacious, beds comfy, good bar, great pool, well situated for footy fans

Even though the rooms had been overhauled they didnt finish the bath of properly - they replaced fllors and basins but left the old dated tiles and left some old wood panel doors in the main enetranc to room which to me looked like they run out of money for the update. Overall was clean but for the money id stay on the actual gold coast strip

Function rooms too cold. 19deg all day. Bring a jumper
