Mercure Gold Coast Resort Review

Although an enquiry might have been within the remit of the person to whom I spoke, they took on board my request and ensured that I received the information or direction that I have needed.

Positive, Professional and Pleasant

The Mecure served as our home base for five days. Without a vehicle, we relied on shuttle buses and transfer services often being first to pick up and last to drop off so we spent a LOT of time in transit. Being without transport and having no food preparation facilities in the room also ensured we had to eat at the restaurant (where the food was fantastic, but added to the overall cost of our stay).
The staff were VERY nice, polite, friendly and delightfully chatty. Would recommend to visitors who have their own transport or those wanting to be away from the busyness of the more central accommodations closer to the beaches.

The team there were more than accommodating! We had issues with Airbnb and was left stranded after the place we hired was filthy and not at all what was described on the listing. They had no more rooms left, but made a room available for us with a roll out bed included in the price. When we checked in, our room had a written message just saying welcome and a few toys for our son as a gesture of good will. Awesome touch.

Great facility with a great function centre. Friendly efficient staff with no fuss service.

This hotel is our quiet, comfortable and well-equipped accommodation on the Gold Coast. Our room was very clean, with modern furniture, free wifi, free toiletries. Bed linen and bathroom linens are washed very clean. The waiter is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Breakfast is available. Definitely comfortable accommodation.

Due to the above I did't get a chance to enjoy the facilities.
What I was after was a good night sleep and that is what I got.

Rooms and service where excellent had issue with room service but it was rectified with nil fuss. Definitely will go back

We were will looked after from start to finish, lovely surroundings and very friendly staff making you feel at home.

Amazing, staff were very accomadating helping us change our room, to be closer to friends. Cleaners did a beautiful job came back to our apartment looking fresh. Only negative is the bath shower combo, im not a fan prefer them to be seperate!

Went just into the foyer. Seemed nice. Carpark was a bit disjointed

Very pleasing. Great service and food. Staff very approachable and always said Hi. House keepers were so friendly and made my 10yr old's day when they left her a note and made a rabbit out of towels and left if on the bed. We used the pool every day and it was always pristine.

we enjoyed the resort style pool, space and relaxing atmosphere. food was nice too. the Spa area looked a bit rough so I did not end up getting any spa treatments as planned. me and my husband wanted to get a couples massage or treatment. it looked some and not lux at all

Well maintained and reasonably clean, but in need of an update as the decor is outdated. The glass shower screen did not stop the water, but the shower itself was nice enough and the bathroom was quite large. Free wifi was a nice added bonus, but the TV had no way to connect to other devices to look at holiday pictures or watch DVD's. The bed was comfortable.

Overall good. Checkin was a bit slow. WiFi was not always working. Good value hotel. Breakfast overpriced.

room was very comfortable, good position opposite the parking and the pool, and the Restaurant was impeccable.
When we have to come back to the Gold Coast, we will most certainly choose to stay at your venue as it suits our requirements location wise.

We really enjoyed staying here though it is a bit old and needs renovating. The golf course is beautiful. Breakfast and dinner was good.

I booked 6 rooms and dinner for 9 in the restaurant. I had a tab at the bar, helium balloons delivered to the hotel to come out at the dinner, wake-up calls booked and hot air ballooning booked and we were all POA no the rooms, with me picking up dinner, drinks and the balloon ride.
From the time I booked the rooms and dinner to the time we checked out, the staff were amazing.
I had sent an email to the hotel the day before arrival giving them all the information that they needed to keep the whole thing a surprise and they were amazing.
The Gent that checked us in, during a cracking storm with the foyer full of rexel conference delegates, deserves a big thank you. He managed to get all of the information about my other guests, the wake up calls and the dinner reservation all confirmed without blowing the surprise. Huge Thank you and I am sorry I didn't get your name amongst all of the hoo har, but you are amazing and as an Ex Director of Sales & Marketing for Accor - you have the guest relations nailed and should think about a career in the Corporate Team.
Another big thanks to the ladies in the bar that night who managed my drinks tab for my guests, and did an amazing job of making us feel like the most important people in the bar - even though there were 80 - 100 delegates all having refreshments at the same time. Thank you!

To that - as a long time 5 star hotel senior manager, and now senior manager in the Infrastructure industry, I have had many experiences in hotels both domestically and around the world. I have stayed in everything from Mining Accommodation Camps through to the Versace in Australia and the Maison Souquet in Paris, so I believe that I have enough experience to say that the service that I was provided, the cleanliness, the friendliness and the food and wine were up there with the best of the best.
Thanks so much for such a great experience and as they say, sometimes the best offerings are in the unexpected.

I attended my daughter school formal here and this is the second daughter to have her formal her and they have both gone very well.

The rooms are very confortable, although they are a bit dated. Breakfast buffet could be better, I was not impressed by the phony scrambled eggs. With that said, the location is great and the service is impeccable. Nice pools and exercise facilities. Staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend it.
