Mercure Gold Coast Resort Review

Overall pleasant stay. Only complaint would be the misunderstandings between our booking agent and the hotel, we were asked to pay upfront when we arrived but should have been already paid by a third party. Same thing happened with breakfast.

The rooms in the resort hotel were lovely - we had the end unit which was private with a balcony and beautiful palms - the only item that was disappointing with there were no lifts in the complex and we didnt bother to ask before booking which was a shock as we had to lug large bags from the carpark and then 3 flight stairs to our room - so 4 flights stairs in total. The breakfast was enjoyable and the staff on for breakfast were helpful and pleasant

Excellent place to stay with a family if you have transport and don't need to be staying right in the middle of the action. Price is more than reasonable.
Would have liked a bigger fridge and for it not to turn off once you take the room card out of the room. Would recommend and stay again.

How lovely was the feel to this place. Food was absolutely amazing. Small issue with cleaning in some areas. And the entrance to park your car was very tight and bottoms out no matter what. Staff are very friendly and go out of their way. But overall experience was great.

Was good. Room was tidy and clean with nice touches from staff. Breakfast was tasty.

Very dissatisfied with our room. It had blown lights, the washroom door was not in good shape, the battery in the safe was too low to actually be able to even lock it, the cupboard where the fridge is held had missing magnets. Not what I was expecting for a "$430 room". I wouldn't have paid a cent over $130.

Love the double queen size bed. The room is pleasantly furnished, clean and spacious and we were given a room with view, facing the golf course. Service staff at check in was very courteous and helpful. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Wifi are complimentary for up to 3 devices. The location is great too. It's 15mins drive to Novena Town Centre, a mall with several supermarkets and shops etc. It's also 15mins drive to main beach. We stayed for 3 nights and each night, the housekeeping staff not only kept our room cleaned but left a figure of 2 swans made from towels on our bed. They made a doggy from towels on the last night and left a handwritten note as well. This made us feel so special and welcome. Never have we experience such housekeeping service from other hotels. Felt very well taken care of throughout our stay.

We always enjoy our stay and the restaurant staff are especially friendly and even remember us from previous visits.

The front desk staff was so lovely, the food was delicious, our room was spotless and bed so comfortable. The housekeeping ladies, Cindy, Jennifer u ladies did an awesome job keeping our room neat and tidy, always topping up our toiletries.. Thank u so much Cindy for our lil doggy towel. You definitely put a smile on our face. We loved everything about the hotel during our stay. Free car park and Wi-Fi. Definitely coming back next year.. Lots of Love,

Lovely place to stay with family. Close to Cararra Markets.... short uber away to Casino and other gold coast locations.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely night at the restaurant for Valentines' Day. As it was Valentines' Day there was a special set menu at a great price. $70 for 2 of us. This included a small bread and dip platter, a choice between 2 mains and 2 desserts and a glass of champagne each. The food was well presented and tasty. Unfortunately when we arrived we were taken to our seat and we waited and waited and waited! After quite some time Taylor came and apologised profusely for the delay explaining what had happened. Not only did she give a genuine apology but we were also offered an additional complimentary drink. Top marks to Taylor for her wonderful service.

Great location away from main strip of GC, staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Best thing was the towel dog and personalised note on bed last day of stay.

Booked a night here to help celebrate my partner's 30th birthday. I put a simple message on the check-in notes asking if a birthday message could be left out for her on arrival. Expecting a small card or something written on a sheet of paper, I was totally overwhelmed with the effort the staff went to.

Upon arrival, a full wall banner was created, letter by letter, strung together and hanging with a card adjacent to this. Staff had also created towel elephants with another message welcoming us and wishing my partner a happy birthday. This really was above and beyond and made a great stay even better. Staff here are incredibly accommodating and it shows with the effort they went to for our stay.

Staying in a King Spa room, the bed was quite comfortable with decent pillows (good height and softness). Everything was clean and the air conditioning kept the room at a perfect temperature. Highly recommend staying here.

This a great hotel located away from hustle and bustle of mainstream Gold Coast. The Rooms were spacious, overlooking the golf course.

All the Staff were friendly and attended to our needs at all times.

Nice hotel, big room. The service at the reception and at the restaurant is good. They have a nice swimming pool and sauna. I believe they have 2 swimming pools, however I just saw one. And the price couldn't be better. Cheaper than pay for a hostel and all the comfort of a resort.

Resort is in a perfect location close to top golf course and sporting facilities. Staff were friendly, and food typical of a large hotel. Hotel is in need of a revamp to keep it looking modern and clean

Nice place, room face golf course & a small lake, could hear birds' singing all the time. 2 x queen beds so comfortable. Pools are kids size. Had pizza & lamp & steak in the restaurant, super service. Reception staffs are friendly.

Got a room upgrade on arrival - yay! All of the staff were very friendly and the facilities were excellent. Would reccommend getting the buffet breakfast deal if staying for 2 or more nights as it brings the price down from $28pp to $20pp.

Walked into my room and took a deep breath. It was lovely, large and had views of palm trees. Was surprised by the large bathroom with amazing water pressure. Just lovely. Late checkout available until 4pm was great and it has even made me decide to rebook for another vacation with my family as it allows my last day of vacation before heading to the airport to be relaxed.

Conveniently located for our stay, clean rooms, daily service.

Tucked away in a quiet part of the Gold Coast surrounded by greenery. Large spacious rooms with spas. Good value on the dollar. Nice late night menu for room service. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Rooms are a bit dated which isn't bad but they are filthy. Dirt and dust everywhere.

I absolutely loved my stay here! The staff were extremely helpful, generous and, they did go the extra mile and ensured we truly enjoyed our stay! We loved the buffet breakfast, they catered well and once again a memorable experience by staff we will be back no doubt!

We really enjoyed our stay! Once we checked in we didn't want to leave. The movie deal was a fantastic option. We had an amazing dinner at the restaurant. My partner is a picky eater but he enjoyed the morten bay bug risotto that much he is still talking about wanting to have it again. I had the twice cooked pork belly and was not disappointed. The kids meal was a little small for a 10 year old but we had fun getting room service later to eat and watch movies in the comfy beds. Thank you for a lovely night.

I enjoyed every aspect of my stay, I note there are some updates happening and look forward to a newer feel and any upgraded facilities that this might entail. From the ground staff to the staff who cleaned my room and made my bed each day (thank you), through to the concierge, reception, bar and restaurant - I genuinely couldn't fault anyone.

Ben and Tekin at the reception were helpful and patient with our various problems with the internet log in. We encountered helpful,courteous and pleasant staff throughout the hotel.
Rooms are pretty basic with nothing extra. No robes no slippers. Television geared to Australians, international content non existent. Restaurant menu was limited. Our understanding was it was changed four times a year. I enjoyed an item in the lunch menu and asked if the cook if I could have it at dinner but it could not be done. We stayed six days so you can see why we found the menu lacking in variety especially for Asian guests. My suggestion is if it is on the menu at lunchtime I presume you would have the ingredients already please allow guest to preorder some food.

We found the washing and drier room by chance and found it very useful. However did not see any information about the location of this great amenity in any of your hotel information.
For overseas guests, luggage weight these days is very important. Many hotels don't provide self laundry services and for this hotel to do so is a big plus for us. Less clothes more space to shop. Hope this can be of some help to you.

Thoroughly enjoyed a most delicious midday meal at this venue last Sunday.

Staff were all excellent. Mercure Gold Coast (Palm Meadows) was chosen for this year's lovely Christmas function.

BMW Gold Coast Club Members were ever so happy - a great time had by all.
Even the fussiest amongst us, could not fault all that was being offered.

I had a very good experience from the moment I arrived I felt welcomed and nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff front of house.

It was a pleasant stay. Car park, privacy in the room, View from balcony are excellent. We happened to have our break fast there as a compliment from Red Balloon. It was excellent.

I don t recommend staying there for more than 3 days .. cause you need a closer place to the city

The room is great and cleaner as I thought. The staffs are nice. Hotel shows slightly aging but internals are keep quite neat.

Friendly staff - comfy bed - rooms were clean. Over looking pool area which carried noise from noisy guests! No lift access. Older style furnishings. Tea facilities but no biscuits. More of a retreat area.

The hotel was lovely, but was disappointed with the bar staff, had to wait 40 minuets for my drink which was forgotten as the bar staff advised "I forgot to make your drink as I just want to get out of here" at 8pm at night, I could understand the comment if it was late but 8pm is a very reasonable hour to be ordering drinks. This comment made me and my partner feel very uncomfortable, we would of stayed in the bar for longer but did'nt want to burden the staff and letting them knock off when they wanted to. At reception on check out I was not asked how my stay was, or even a how are you this morning, just a quick will you be paying with card and what is your email so I can send you the invoice. again I could understand this comment if they were busy but I was the only person at reception. I think the staff definitely need some training around customer service and just common decency.

Loved it. Friendly staff. Great food. We ate at bar as restaurant was booked. Staff were really great. Good atmosphere. Lots of birds in car park if you dont like bird poo on car park on street. Room was spacious and bed was comfy.

The place is huge, two pools and a tennis court. The rooms are nice, only real issue is the shower bath, not a fan of these. Breakfast was ok, I would avoid the sausages and ensure you order eggs as the scrambled on the buffet is the reconstituted kind. Also you have to pay for barrista coffee

Good experience and satisfied. However, your promotional schemes advertised in your website can be quite misleading. For example, I was asked to download an Accor app on my mobile phone to receive 10% which I did but nothing happened. When I spoke to your international representative, I was told to write which I did but never got a reply.

We stayed at the GC Mercure last night and were very impressed by the service and professionalism displayed by all.

We were particularly impressed by our waitress Teagan. She was friendly, well spoken, positive and bubbly. Good on you!

We will definitely be returning.
