Comfortable rooms, excellent service, great facilities (including restaurant, pool and gym), and overall a very good experience.
Comfortable rooms, excellent service, great facilities (including restaurant, pool and gym), and overall a very good experience.
Overall it seemed ok until we recieved our main meals. One main was an absolute disgrace so it wasnt touched. We didnt say anything until we went to fix the bill. Summer the Manager wasn't interested, only wanted us to pay our bill and leave. Management and customer service is better at McDonald's. This type of service is destroying the Gold Coast's reputation in hospitality.
We stayed 3 nights mid August in a twin queen bedroom with a spa The room was great, spacious and clean. Special mention to the cleaner who folded animal towels for the kids and left little personalised notes. They were very excited to see them in the bed. The heated pool was a treat for kids. The main pool spa was also a hit.
Friendly and professional staff, great food, clean and well equipped gym. A great experience all round.
Room was very nice even thou I had to climb 2 flights of stairs which was very hard for me, my fault I didn't ask for a room on the ground floor, breakfast was ok not all food was hot that was supposed to be hot but other than that was a nice stay will do it again
I felt compelled to write this review because generally the accomodation was very disappointing for what we paid at $350 plus for the night.
CONS - The Hotel is very tired and needs urgent maintenance and attention - room clean but in need of refurbishment, the bathroom very old, shower tiles strained and unattractive. Everything is old and tired, lots of stairs and no lifts. Undercover parking very low where car scrapes on entry and exit, the parking area is infested with starlings all over the roof of the cars. Expensive rates and breakfast not included.
PROS The pool is great for kids and the staff are very good. The gym is well equipped.
The restaurant itself is showing signs of age but the service and the quality and presentation more than made up for that. We had a really good meal and the wait staff could not have been nicer or more attentive. Thank you Mercure for such a nice experience!!!! By the way the pork belly was superb as were the desserts.
Service is fantastic and the rooms nice and clean with great views.
I attended a training event at the Mercure. Well equipped meeting rooms with good facilities. Excellent catering too.
Great weather, loved my stay at the Mercure. Couldn't find the complimentary cookies, lol.
The room was of high quality and the fittings good. Meals ordered from Room service were prompt and hot when delivered. Always a plus. The bar area was quiet and allowed for conversation without having to listen to other groups discussions.
My only complaint was the WiFi. As a business traveller I need a good connection. I expected a better speed than 56k as a free WiFi. I ended up using my own 4G dongle rather than pay a daily surcharge for better speed.
I would recommend this place as long as you don't need the internet.
Was very satisafied with the first line service; especially the gentleman who ferried our luggage and drove us with the passenger little car. Excellent service indeed. Every staff member I met was very nice.
Was nice sone of the staff weren't and breakfast was cold every morning a tad disappointing
Feeling unhappy with the room, the deal was river view room but look like. .... and unpleasant odur.
The hotel's website says that there is an electric kettle in the room, but you can not bring it without asking the housekeeper. There are no fridges, cups or glasses in the room, so even if you have a kettle, bring your own tea or instant coffee and you also need a paper cup. As there are many three-story cottage ridges in a vast site, some may have them. Wi-Fi can be used free of charge. It looks like a hotel for golf courses, so there are no shops or convenience stores that can be shopped around. Meals are at restaurants and drinks are at vending machines. Welcome drink comes with two bottles of 300ml mineral water.
Nice outdoor view, large room, outdoor swimming pool, suitable for golfing, no shops nearby, restaurants and homes, the trouble is that only lobby has free wifi but can only register once a day,,,
Great place Friendly staff. Good location on the coast Good facilities Good restaurant
I'm a Accor gold member. Received gold star treatment all the way. Staff were friendly and gor upgraded. Hotel layout is... unique to say the least. Would go again if for holidays. Bring your car!
Nice resort very relaxing but some of the rooms really need a refurbished. Ours looked really outdated & smelt like it hadn't been open in a long time
It was a pleasure to stay at the Mercure Gold Coast Resort.
The surrounds were maintained and the rooms were also clean and cosy.
The pool area was clean and tidy and was a perfect spot to relax and enjoy view.
The included breakfast was disappointing and was not worth the effort to find a table to eat at. So we went to the many cafes and restaurants within 5 minute car drive.
The staff where helpful and friendly.
Overall I would recommend visiting if in the area.
Rom was clean and spacious. Dinner was lovely. Only complaint was that breakfast was cold. Not sure what was happening with the bain marie but hot food was cold. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
pool is ridiculously warm due to being so shallow. like a hot bath!
Mercure was a great venue for our work Christmas party this year. The food was nice and the staff were very attentive. All in all, a lovely evening.
Just had Xmas lunch, what a disgrace of an attempt to feed people, not one decent dish, cold food, cold coffee, disgusting fish, no condiments, I am in total shock that a place could provide such horrible food.
Would have been happier with a bowl of 2 minute noodles. Thanks for ruining Xmas day for our family.
Average, expensive and not close enough to the beach. Staff are friendly though.
Good overall exoerience. Drink service during dinner very average
Great resort, lots of open space and recreational areas. Rooms are very reliable
From the moment I checked in the service was exceptional. This includes:
check in
restaurant
bar
All staff that I interacted with were pleasant, professional and helpful. There was a young man in the restaurant (I think his name was Liam), and he is a credit to the business. His service was outstanding, lovely to have a conversation with and "read" out table extremely well.
All staff were knowledgeable about products (wine, food) and I would highly recommend your business
We always stay at the mercure when on the Gold Coast location is good , central , clean rooms , nice breakfast there could be more variety , there were many people SMOKING on the balconies this needs to be policed more, other than that all is well.
We always choose Mercure Gold Coast and always enjoy our stay. On arrival our room had a strong musty odour. I immediately notified reception, and Andrew the Manager accommodated us immediately and changed our room without hesitation (even though it was a busy Easter period). I am very grateful. Ellen and Kadin on reception, always a pleasure to deal with. Also, the Concierge team always willing to assist.
We did notice the change of the coffee machine to a Nescafe, instant coffee and it is not very good at all. It would be great if the coffee could be improved.
Quietly out of the rat race. Good price for a night's stay. Soft surroundings. Relax and enjoy.
We stayed here during our trip to Gold Coast. Location was great, its surrounded by a golf course, makes it a quiet place away from the typical busyness in GC CBD you see with tourists 24x7. Rooms were nice and well maintained, and they had 2 pools around where we stayed, so was great for kids. I had the breakfast included when I booked without thining much, but it worked out well, as given surrounded by the course, you wouldnt want to drive out too far to get to breakfast. And the breakfast they served was good as well. had a good selection. Overall we are quite happy about the stay and our experience.
A real mixed bag in terms of appearance. The reception and "resort pool" are modern and have a 5 star appearance. However the rooms have a dated look. Nonetheless the rooms are well appointed, clean and spacious. Enough room for a small family to fit comfortably. In addition to the larger resort pool there is a smaller "Billabong Pool", but make the walk up to the bigger pool. Service friendly and attentive. Excellent value. Free parking and a quiet location away from the main strip. Not near the beach so a car needed for a visit to the sand.
Great spacious motel. Affordable. Would stay there again.
Very nice place, good service and reasonable price. Many thanks
A bit out of the way but Everything we required and excellent value for money
Good size room, undercover parking. Very small fridge. Sound limited TV which was a bit frustrating as we wanted some background noise to help our baby sleep while the adults were still awake.
Really nice place. Very clean room and staff were very nice and helpful. If it's raining I would recommend asking for a room near the carpark as it is an open air resort/hotel with no covered walkways. Also no lifts, only steps to get to rooms, so if you have bad knee's, pregnant or have small kids etc this might be something to consider. This photo was the balcony of my room.
Staying at Mercure was a pleasure, we were a last minute booking and they managed to help is out. Even got a beautiful room with a view and spa! Just what we needed after driving 10hrs. Friendly staff and informative. Best part was the super soft sheets! Very clean and inexpensive considering it is holiday season.
Nice place. Was a good price. Rooms are decent too.
A little old, nice function rooms. heard good things about the golf course next door.
Clean amenities, good location, has everything you need, large room. Found the room a little under supplied in the self bar, no sharp knives to cut veg and no tea towels. Other than that everything was fantastic
Such a lovely resort. Reception is large and inviting. Great views over the golf course. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Stayed in a room overlooking the pool. Lovely large pool with a giant chess board and lots of seats to rest and relax. The rooms aren't ridiculously modern like a mecure in the city - but they are nice, clean and cosy. My partner and I had an amazing stay - just the getaway we were hoping for.
Overall, extremely satisfied. The room that we stayed in had water views. The room was spacious and clean although the bathroom area was slightly run down but was overall clean.
Lighting in the room was a slight issue as the room was largely illuminated through the bedside lights, which causes the room to be quite dim and dark at times. There didn't appear to be any main lighting in the room.
Amenities overall are quite above par. Attracts tons of non-golfer tourists that crams in at the breakfast buffet.
Pretty nice resort. But the bed mattress was too soft.
Nice and comfy place. Food and bar were great, and 24 hour access to the gym is a bonus.
All clean and modern but could not manage to serve the hot breakfast HOT. Luke warm at best, and that's just not acceptable at a place of this calibre. (Nor is charging extra for a flat white coffee with breakfast)
*Very friendly staff, from Reception (on arrival), Housekeeping, and Waitstaff. Nothing was too much trouble
*Room was very clean and inviting.
*Dinning experience both Dinner and Buffet Breakfast was excellent.
*Undercover parking was a bonus
Only spent one night but was quiet and peaceful which is what I wanted before golfing
Best location top quality amenities and nice spacious rooms i will come back again.
Great hotel best price too. No elevators though so be prepared to lug your bags upstairs
Very happy with the service that was offered we will be returning again!
Had A Lovely Experiance with Tasty Delicious Grilled Baramundi & Great Friendly Attentive Service . Food was Generious & I was very satisfied . Compliments to all the Staff & Management for a Great Experiance for 18 Friends. Highly recommended.
I enjoyed my stay in this really nice resort in Gold Coast. The staff is very friendly. The room was clean, big enough with a nice balcony and a view to the park and the little lakes. It was quiet, free parking in the underground garage and free wifi. You need around ten minutes to Miami Beach. If you are looking for a really good and fair priced hotel, you should book this one.
Very nice services, clean and tidy, good room size with basic facilities.
Nice place to have a breakfast on Sunday morning. It was a bit busy today
Quiet room - nice view of the golf course
but no lift to access upper levels and rooms/ bathroom could do with an update
Great, friendly and went out their way service, Great food, great facilities and nice rooms.
Just arrived after long day and flight...was told dinner available in restaurant..went to my room then back to restaurant...was a a bit much for concierge...who was concerned that I didnt have a reservation and would need to share a table...no effort made at all to find a table for single diner...complained to rexeption desk who sent me there in first place ..but little interest in my inability to get a meal....without doubt the worst service of any Accor property I have ever stayed in
Easy to find, great staff (reception and dining), quiet and well appointed rooms, comfy beds!!
Still a quality golf resort after all these years. Beer and wine offering in the bar could be improved
Very poor quality restaurant... Room was ok but still quiet outdated and dusty... Dirty pools and nothing else to do on their premises...
