It was too hot to sit outside so we got a table inside. It was just as hot inside. Except for the hallways, for some reason they were nice and chilly. My girlfriend told me that the women's bathroom ran out of TP and we later saw one of the servers with arms full of fresh rolls making a dash for the ladies room. We were seated right away but then it took forever and a day for us to get our orders. The drinks were meh, kind of overpriced for the amount of liquor in them. I ordered a cup of the MD Crab soup and it was cold. Ate it anyway because it took so long to get the soup I didn't want to add more wait time. Instead of getting the complimentary bread we were asked if we wanted it. Well yeah! Bread was so fresh and hot it was steaming, that made up for the cold soup. They changed their menu to be more tasty, I guess. Our appetizers were meh. Too salty (got the shrimp kisses and the seafood mushrooms). Her Swordfish had some smelly crab on it though, so we left it alone. My softshell crab was OK, not the best and not the worst, a very safe middle of the road. Less than you'd expect from a seafood restaurant. Did I mention it was hot inside? If you do go and you do sit inside, do. not. look. up. You'll be greeted by a sight of dust covered air vents and chunks of dust bunnies hanging on for dear life above your food. Not exactly an appetizing sight. Which is just par for the course because the last time we went and had oysters, they brought us one of those stands that you can rest a large tray on, and the stand had cobwebs hanging off of it. Yummmy. Overall, it took nearly three hours for us to eat our meal. Most likely won't be returning.

I went in here plenty of times and I hate that this time the experience wasn't at all what I'm use to I had to ask for bread that I never got my food was cold and it was poor service don't know if the waitress was new but did not like this lunch experience at all

We had a private event here with a limited menu, but everyone in the group was happy with their choices. I went with the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. The wait and bar staff were all knowledgeable and friendly. The chef came in to personally greet us, which was a nice touch.

Highly disappointed. It was my first time ordering via Doordash from this location. I never got my food. My dasher called me when they arrived at the restaurant and stated the restaurant said someone else picked up my food already. I checked the app but it stated the person calling was the dasher assigned to my order and she was supposed to pick up the food. So apparently they don't verify the name on the order or anything. The restaurant stated they were unwilling to make another order since they had already fulfilled the order. I tried calling the restaurant myself to speak to a manager and the phone just rings. No answer and no voicemail message, just a beep at the end of a long series of rings. You have definitely lost a customer. I will never set foot in any of your establishments.

I ordered Fish and Chips, The chips were cold and tasted like they cooked it four hours ago. I made a comment to the Bar Tender "You should fire the cook who cooked the chips." I said it in a nice way and was not disrespectful. I asked my ticket and i gave her my card by this time the manager came out and asked me did I want fresh chips, I said no. Please keep in mind I never asked for the manager and was paying for sorry food before he walked up. The manager get defensive about my comment and started to retaliate against me for my comment. I want to pay my bill and leave. The manager Matt McAfee brought the cook from the kitchen and introduce me to the cook who cook my Chips and asked me "do he need to be fired?" All the employees came to the door as I was leaving and Matt kept on talking about the Chips and I was rude to his employees. I never raised my voice and had no actions or demand a discount in the food. When I got outside of the restaurant, all the cooks were out side yelling at me about some chips and asking me to come back and say it in their face.

The Manager Matt McAfee promoted a unsafe environment to the customer because he was rude and brought the employees into my comment when the manager should have tried to win be back as customer.

The employees from the kitchen should not have been outside asking me to come back and say it in their face and yelling at me as I was leaving.

Please keep in mind, I never yelled, disrespected anyone, had no gun or weapon.

Why did Matt McAfee bring the employees into my conversation with me?
Why did the cooks come from the kitchen and stand by the door when I was leaving?
Why did the cooks from the kitchen come out back and started yelling at me?

This is not a sate resuratant to attend with family. I will not be coming back to any M&C!

The cook do not need to be fired but the Manager Matt McAfee do need to be fired for making this a unsafe zone and for getting the employees involved in a comment. He did not know how to deal with a comment and I was not disrespectful, nor yelling, or demanding anything. I just wanted to pay my bill and leave.

Sometimes good, sometimes bad.
Last fall we had a wonderful experience. Tonight service was slow. Every vegetable was undercooked. My wife's plate was burning hot, mine was cold, obviously hers was under a heat lamp too long. They comped us a dessert, but my wife's came out without the whipped cream.
Our server's response was "this never happens". Check the reviews - it does.
The food, when done right, is still good.

Not impressed at all. 7 pm dinner for office holiday party....main course did not arrive until almost 9:30, and then it was crappy. The chicken was overcooked and tough enough to win a street brawl with the Hells Angels. The Cheesecake was dry enough to be used as sand paper. I would not recommend this place.

M&S is always a reliable seafood restaurant. But the Baltimore Harbor location is an absolute favorite. Great location with a water view, professional and friendly staff, delicious cocktails and, of course, good seafood!

I been to McCormick and Schmicks several times and had acceptable service. Today I took friends who were from out of town to eat dinner. It took 20 minx to get drinks. Never received bread even after we asked the waiter. Order an appetizer, never received. Even after telling the waiter and manger. Had to request silverware several times. Then three people in our party received their main course dinner. The other member received after everybody were done eating. Staff blamed everybody else, including manger blamed the waiter, waiter blamed kitchen. Then asked for wine list waiter dropped off list but disappeared for about 20 mins. Manger got fresh drinks after complaining about drinks, the only problem was people were done eating

A quick review of dinner, took to long to get drinks, never received silverware until we asked, appetizer never received, food wasn't served together for entire party, failed to get bread and of course they couldn't get the check correct. The manger did say she will waive the cost for one meal. The only problem with that, was the check was still screwed up.

The performance of this location was terrible and unacceptable. The only other problem was the food was only average at best.

I wish I could say something positive!

If I could give 0 stars I would! First off my friend and I made Galentines Day plans for McCormicks at 9:30pm on 2/14/2020 we arrived promptly at 9:20 and was checked in at 9:30 due to a line at the reception desk however we were seated until 10pm. They made up an excuse about patrons staying longer, we understood at first until we realized why they stayed over there were so many empty tables why weren t we seated sooner the truth was ppl were waiting for their food that s why. Our server came over at 10:15 to take our order she rushed through the menu and wine selection. Put our order in and came back with the wine glasses she said bread would be out in 7 mins. Bread did not get to us until 10:35. She came back to check on us at 11 at which point I asked her where our food was. She said the kitchen was backed up as if Valentine s Day isn t probably one of the busiest days of the year you have to make extra provisions. We weren t served out food until 11:30 the food was cold and not worth the money for the portions and taste at which point the waitress who hadn t really checked on us before came over every 5 mins to check on us I told her it was cool and she asked what did we want her to do, like miss make it right who wants to wait 1.15 mins for cold food. I refused the offer of her to take it back because lord knows how long it would have taken for more food to come out. There were no apologies what so ever not even an offer for free desert or discounted price for the next visit. The manager was in the run probably because they were wanted by so many tables for the terrible service the waitress made us feel rushed after we got the cold food we waited an 1.15 mins for smh it s a same this place is a held in such high regard as a top tier establishment Prime Rib and Ruth Chris are top tier I ve had better food and service at the Cheesecake Factory. First and last time never ever again.

I liked the restaurant in the very center of Baltimore, the dish offered by the waiters was very tasty. These were local seafood, including shrimp and blue crab cutlet. Of the shortcomings, I note that it was expensive. But no more expensive than in other good institutions

Took the wife and her visiting sister on a Monday evening for diner.
Darius was our excellent waiter. My filet & crab portion was as advertised (a little small) but very filling. The ladies both ordered steaks which were very hefty. The price was as expected, and not an issue due mainly to our waiter who provided excellent professional service.

We went in last night for some "quick" shots before a concert at Pier 6. The bartender took our order (two lemon drops and two Jager) and came back a few minutes later and said "we don't have Jager." Ok, we ordered Soco instead. Five minutes passed and he mixed drinks, took orders from the waitstaff, etc. We asked if there was a problem with getting our drinks to which he replied, "yes there are quite a few problems. We are very busy." They were not busy in the least bit for a Baltimore restaurant at 6:00. He then hands us two mixed drinks that had been sitting on the counter for five minutes and says, "here. he made lemon drop mixed drinks you can have these, he messed them up." We didn't order that and were still missing all four of our shots. He hands us four shot glasses and a drink strainer! Never got our shots, and then had the audacity to CHARGE US for the two drinks! When we told him we wanted to see a manager he literally said, "I'm not leaving the floor to go get a manager for you. It's not worth my time. You can come over the bar and hit me?!?!?!" Who says that!???! Needless to say the manager came out after this poor excuse for a bartender was shouted at and a scene was caused over this. We didn't have to pay for the awful sour mix he served us and the manager agreed that his actions were ridiculous. He stood there and tried to argue that we hadn't waited 20 minutes for drinks only to never get them, when he did this the manager told him to get out of the bar.
One more thing, he poured a glass of wine and proceeded to LICK EACH OF HIS FINGERS after putting the bottle away! That is disgusting...
Maybe their food is good, but when there is a 5'4" male bartender with a Napoleon complex who is slow, inaccurate, and downright terrible, it definitely is not a good first impression.
Won't be back, if I'm at the harbor and hungry or thirsty again, Ruth's Chris is right around the corner.

Plus- my son wanted a lobster roll, so the chef made one special for him. That was cool and appreciated.
Minus- this is an expensive meal. 2 adults and 2 kids can press $200. You may have a beautiful view, or your view may be terrible, depending on your seating. The food was nothing spectacular and didn't justify the high price. Because of the physical layout, if your waitress is not around, you really will not see her and can be left alone for a long time with no one helping you.

Food was as good as any restaurant of this caliber, but I ordered food that I did not get, we sat waiting for refills most of dinner and we were held hostage waiting for the check to hot the table.

Excellent service with an outdoor view of the bay. My wife had a delicious filet mignon accompanied with grilled asparagus and carrots. My swordfish was outstanding which came with sauteed mushrooms and spinach. Great experience.

I had to edit my review because of the shocking change in experience. Last year it was amazing and I couldn't say enough good things about it, this year it was a whole 180 turn around. We went for a family dinner, my dad's soup was served cold, we waited at least half an hour for appetizers, and another 20 or so minutes for the meal. My mom got the double espresso and it came with nothing additional, usually they'd give you sugar cubes, or cream just in case you want to cut the bitterness. We also ordered the upside down pecan apple pie. It was supposed to come with ice cream but it was left off the plate. My dad didn't want to ask for it because it took so long to get whatever you ordered. Drinks were OK, nothing special. Service was so slow but if you looked around the restaurant it wasn't even half way full.

Good is eh but prices are up there. Salmon came out raw had to send it back and wait forever. I'm usually not critical of restaurants but for the price you should goto any of the other great restaurants around.

Lovely view, options of people watching or taking in the view of the bay. Lobster bisque abundantly filled with meat, creative appetizers were a nice choice to eat as a tapas like meal. The menu is very visually distracting as they have managed to cram all of their meal selections on to one page.

The dining experience ruined the name of M&S I knew. The hostess was great with seating our large party, but our server had no care with being attentive to us. We got all our food in late segments and then got an apology. But the service continued to fall, we were giving seafood with no proper utensils, then got extra plates late too after we were half done eating. I don't recommend going here, the seafood was way to steamed and over cooked. I would expect more from the name and for the price.

Waited almost an hour for service .... Only to see a couple come in be seated and WAITED ON in about 10 mins. Was not really crowded but we found out that we had been seated in a section with no server. After listening to the group beside us complain to the manager about the food we decided to leave and go to The Oceanaire which was a MUCH better experience ( Something seemed fishy ) Manager seemed to be really nonchalant

The food was great! Everything from my cocktails to my entre was perfect! I ordered the rib eye steak and it was cooked to perfection! Our waiter was so knowledgeable of everything on the menu. He knew just what to recommend after I told him what I had a taste for. My experience here was one of the best!

Came this past weekend hoping for a nice dinner outside with the beautiful weather. Was told there was a 30-40 minute wait. After 60 minutes I approached the hostess who said we would be seated next. Watched two other couples be seated before we finally got sat. Once we had a table we waited another good 15 minutes to even be approached by a waiter/waitress. A kind waitress that was not even our waitress stopped and grab us waters. She ended up being our waitress for the night because ours never showed up or we were sat at an unassigned table. I noticed tables around us were not be approached by staff either. I watched our waitress address the concern with the manager who never once approached our table to check in or apologize. Very disappointed.

Despite the rockfish coming out raw and the place being pretty busy, our waitress handled it super professionally like a champ. She took care of everything and made sure she always came back to check on us. She had the champagne ready just a minute or two before the new year - outstanding attention and service!

Bottom line: acceptable cost for what you get ratio.

Gluten line: accommodating, no labeling.

Long line: overall good experience. Service was prompt but not overbearing. Steak was on POINT. Weird stinky water nearby fyi if you're walking from a nearby hotel. Place is huge and seems to have party rooms. Would return.

The food tasted bland... I had a beef dish and my wife had a salmon dish and both dishes tasted like it wasn't seasoned... The waiter who served us seemed to be extremely inexperienced and had no etiquette. The food was over priced. The only good thing about it was the view, however the view has public access and you might as well buy a hotdog and enjoy the view for a fraction of the price and or for free. Not to mention the validation of parking.. They took off 3 dollars from a 23 dollar parking fee...

Excellent experience. Lots of parking for the area available in parking lots and on the street (if you feel like walking). The server was very good. He had a great sense of humor, a conversationalist for sure. It was not packed when I arrived. We were seated immediately and a server was out to our table within 2 minutes. Our food was delicious. Very scenic views of the water and boats. Definitely a great date night spot for couples and families.

Our experience started off rather frustrating as our first server became too occupied with another large party, but they soon gave us a new server who was wonderful and friendly. The wait was definitely worth it. Great overall experience and would recommend to anyone.

I think it was excellent. Took two friends to celebrate with. I had the fillet mignon cooked, the way I liked it. They enjoyed their meals as well. Pricing is what you expect from a restaurant of that caliber. I can't say enough about our waitress EMILY. She was a joy to wait on us. Anything we needed she got for us. Her jovial attitude was great. She DESERVES A RAISE!
Will definitely be going back again.

The food was great, but the service was not. It was not our first visit to this restaurant and we usually enjoy it, but this time, our waitress was untrained. We ordered a bottle of wine, but she poured water in our wine glasses. When she came back with wine and saw water in the wine glasses, she poured the water out to the regular glasses and then poured wine. Well at this point it was just funny, so we relaxed ordered our food and asked for dinner rolls. After this, she disappeared and we haven't seen her for about half an hour. Our food came out, she never never brought us out the dinner rolls or refilled our drinks. At this point we just got very annoyed. When we finally were able to hunt her down and asked about the rolls, she said that they are still in the oven. We asked for soft drinks, but she never brought them out. At this point we asked for the manager and when the manager came out she said that our waitress was new and inexperienced and offered to change the server. The new server was great, but we did not like how the manager handled the situation because she made it seem like we are being to harsh and too picky. She literally said that that this was probably not the service that we are used to and the rolls are still in the oven (45 minutes after we placed our orders). At this point we really didn't care about the rolls anymore, but we were really annoyed. In general it was disappointing.

If you are thinking of going here...don't. The service was terrible...15 minutes to get a beer...after it was ordered. All the waiter could say was "Are you ready to order?"...before drinks or appetizers arrived. We repeatedly told him that we would like a few minutes to look at the menu. "Are you ready to order?" The trout that was advertised on the e-menu was not available and, according to our crackerjack waiter, never was. I took out my phone to check the site and there it was.
Ordered the Clambake dinner...cold, one crab leg cut in half, 3 clams, a few mussels and a short corn but plenty of "filler" potatoes.
The "broth" was flavored water...not worth dipping the bread ( had to ask twice for bread) in. Had a much better Clambake at Joe's Crab Shack .
Second time we had a bad experience here. There won't be a third. They advertise as an upscale dining experience...anything but. BTW, I worked through college as a bartender and waiter. I understand how hard this job is, but they don't even try. No excuse for bad food at these prices. Insult to injury...no valet parking in driving rain...$15.00 for two hour park your own parking.
