Had a delicious meal. All 7 of us thought it was great and having Spencer as the waiter was even better. Coming back soon!
Place is amazing. Great ambiance and the food never disappoints. It is definitely pricy but relatively reasonable for what you are getting and where it is located.
Food was great! Raw oysters were the best ever, I also recommend the crab cakes.
Wonderful staff. Incredible food. Our favorite location. I highly recommend
The food is excellent. Serving sucks, I got a glass of wine with lipstick all over, and the attitude of most of the waiters is like you made them work there. I will never go back at that place.
Ellie is the General Manager! She brings out the best in McCormick & Schmick!
Dining alfreshco; sweet. That 10.00 parking hey it's the harbor. Problem was the food portion. I received a miniscule cut of salmon I'd say 4x2x1-1/2, 8 string beans and 2 potatoe slices. Service was average. Left hungry.
Quote expensive but we'll worth a trip. Offers primarily fish and seafood, but has some other options. I would recommend the Chilean sea bass or blackened barramundi.
Asked for a window table with view of harbor. They sat us outside in the sun. Hostess said server would move umbrella to keep us in shade he said he could not do that. A table n shade hostess said was reserved. We were there for a birthday dinner service was slow and was not accommodating horrible place for a Landry owned restaurant very disappointed we walked out never to return.
The food is perfect every time we go, the Chef Richard Jones deserves an award and he is also an ambassador!
This was the worse experience ever. We had to wait 45 minutes for an appetizer and we never received it. We complained to the manager Taylor about the server. The manager's breath smelled like a pack of cigarettes. She did not care that we did not receive our food. I do not recommend this restaurant the waiters are inexperienced and the managers are unprofessional.
I wish I could rate this 0. This was a very disappointing and never again visit. This brand has definitely went down hill. I made reservations for Valentines Day 2018. $27 for 2 drinks- way over priced for the service we received at the bar. The hostess sat us in the bar are in a table (super not romantic). So, we asked to be moved to the dining room since we had a reservation. We sat there for 20 minutes and no one greeted our table. I spoke to a manager and the proceeded to leave. Thank you for being so close to the 4 Seasons Hotel!! They have Wit & Wisdom and Loch Bar. $150 well spent at Loch Bar.
Ordered blackened swordfish, it was mushy and a bit smelly, apparently not fresh. The clam chowder bowl was so salty that no more salt should be taken for the week... Also, it was not busy at all, but the waiter was very slow, took forever to get just the water, or to get the check...
Stopped in for a dinner while we were staying in Baltimore, came in around 430pm. Place was pretty much empty, we were seated quickly and the waiter was pretty quick getting to us. That's about the only good or fast part of this experience I can recount. After taking our orders, it took about 20 minutes to bring our fountain drinks. The waiter apologized for forgetting, said he'd be right back, still took almost 10 minutes from this point to get drinks. My wife ordered lobster tail, it was tough and over cooked. I had a NY Strip which was cooked as asked, but the actual quality of the steak left a lot to be desired. It may have been the thinnest most tasteless steak I've ever encountered.
Save your money this place charges more than your standard chain restaurant and presents low end diner quality product. There are plenty of better options in the area.
Wonderful experience. I took away a star because our server was brand new, it was his 2nd day and it was a Saturday. Management should never had put a brand new waiter on by himself on a weekend.
We attended for veterans day. The service was meh and food was so, so. Very franchise'y. Nothing special flavor wise. A fine place with an excellent view. Won't go out of my way to come again though.
McCormick and Schmick seafood and steak restaurant is one of my favorite places to eat. This location is stunning as it sits on the inner Harbor Located in Baltimore Maryland. I wouldn't come to this restaurant if you are on a tight budget. When you want fine dining this is the place to come to. The lunch menu is more affordable. Service is always on point no matter what location I go to. While you're waiting for your food to come they bring you bread-and-butter which is warm and delicious. I ordered and enjoyed the Caesar salad and the pesto salmon. I think my most favorite part of dining here was the ambience.
Fantastic! Hat's off to Ellie and the staff. Great food and atmosphere! Be back soon.
Non-friendly non-professional staff despite the Great location, great foods, outstanding decor and furniture. I used to eat there frequently whether alone, with family or with distinguished friends and colleagues from Johns Hopkins University. Each time we tell the attending staff our observations but no way as if it is their policy. This last time, I was with my son (PhD from Hopkins university) and he became agonized from the way the service personnel was reacting to our requests. To express our refusal and disrespect to their services we decided to add only one cent as tips. We expected the management will call us to explore why we did that but nothing till now!
Had my wedding reception there. The staff was great! So was the food.
Did Happy Hour. Had really good bacon blue cheese burger. Presentation was excellent. Drinks were tasty, not the strongest, but good. Service was attentive. Good variety of food and drinks on Happy Hour menu.
I would love to give zero stars. I was treated very rudely by Dana. I strongly believe she was the actual manager. Dana wasn t helpful at all. I loved this location. I ended up going to Ruth Chris. I didn t have any problems at the location.
In a area where you can enjoy a delicious meal and very scenic
Would give it a zero star rating if I could. Long story short horrible wait staff and horrible food!! When we went there were at least 10 other people there including us. We both order the salmon succotash and the waitress comes back to our table asking if we both ordered the salmon because the kitchen is in an uproar over our order. I dont know why it was a big deal that we ordered salmon I should've asked but I didn't want anything to happen to our food.our food came out in an ok time, we did have to ask for utensils and the waitress seemed to not want to be bothered at all. We heard a lot of gossiping from the kitchen but we tried to ignore it. I told everyone and anyone I know not to go to this place!! Trust the reviews this place is not worth it!!! Oh and we weren't able to get our parking validated (it would've been $7 but we had to pay $15) because of an event next door so make sure you double check if anything is happening around there
We had a terrible experience here. After travelling all the way from New York & calling to hear they were fully booked for the night. We were able to get a table, only to wait for over an hour and served with cold food. This was such a turnoff because we were there with our significant other's for a romantic night out. Very disappointed that a restaurant of this stature had such horrible service.
Great staff, but the food was a bit dry and expensive.
Great food, excellent service and reasonable price. $90.00 for dinner and dessert for two.
Have gone there several times and still find it a very special experience for me and my wife. Great food and atmosphere. Service is outstanding.
Haven't had an old fashioned that good since the 20s.
Horrible service. We ordered appetizers that never showed up. Waited 20 mins for our wine. Steak over cooked. Worst McCormick &Smicks I've ever eaten at.
If crowded, it's a little press for space but the food is very good.
Uninspiring decor and food. The harbor has much better to offer in the same price range.
Food was good, but service is beyond slow! Then waiting on a desert that never came out because they were out!!! Ugh
I enjoyed the food, service and didn't spend a lot !
Great Crab cakes and mixed veggies, great customer service
Don t expect to enjoy drinks. It takes 20 minutes to pour a glass of wine. Don t bring a date either - they will bring your meal 20 minutes after bringing hers. Not the same as Boston and I was very disappointed.
A totally disappointing experience. My wife an I decided to try a new place since i was looking for a steak we choose McCormick & Schmick's Seafood & Steaks. Let's just say we should have left because things started off bad and went downhill quickly.
When we came into the restaurant the hostess wasn't at her podium but returned pretty quickly. We said two and she grabbed two menus and started walking us to the dining room. That's when another hostess stopped her, said something, then said to us, "I'm sorry, but all of our dining room is filled up with reservations, but can sit out here in the bar which has our full menu." Honestly, that wasn't the worse thing in the world because the Orioles game, which was on delay, would be on the TVs so we said yes.
So we sat down at the low top and started looking over the menus. 2 minutes turned into 5 which turned into 10 minutes and no server showed up. If it wasn't raining outside and we only had a small umbrella, we would have left, but we decided to stick it out. Finally a waiter cam by and asked, "Has anyone taken your order yet?" We were like no and he was like, I'll be right back. Three minutes later he comes back and asks to take our drink and appetizer order.
We each get a drink and we decided to spurge for the blue point oysters at $2.70 a piece because well, if you ever had blue point oysters they are great. When he returns, he brings as some bread and our drinks. Another 5-7 minutes go by and our Oysterds come out. If they were bluepoint, they were the smallest, baby oysters we eve saw. They were worse then a bull and oyster roast oyster. We got six so we each quickly slurped down the small little oysters that cost us $16.20. $16.20 for a half dozen tiny oysters.
He took our order and I order the Rib eye at $39 and my wife got the stuffed swordfish. Our sides were extra and I mean like $7 for mashed red pepper potatoes and $9 for sauteed mushrooms.
The food didn't take too long to come out. I was thinking my $39 steak was going to be pretty good, but what i found was a chewwy, tough steak. It was cooked to my specifications of medium rare, bu the piece of meat was not better then anything you could have gotten at Texas Roadhouse or some other chain steak house. My wife's swordfish was dry and was average at best. Halway through my steak and girl from the kitchen comes out and asks me "Ribeye" and I was like, "Yes" and she starts to give me another one. I pointed to me half eaten rib eye and tell her there's a mistake and she takes the ribeye back to the kitchen.
Overall the food was below average for the amount we paid but not terrible, besides the ridiculous oysters which were probably not real blue point.
Now here comes the fun part, the bill comes over and I glance at the itemized list and thought it said $120 which seemed about right. I give him my card and he comes back and gives me a non itemized bill of $178. Doing quick math in my head this doesn't add up so i ask him for the itemized bill. Well when he comes back it becomes real easy to find the problem, remember that other ribeye they try to bring me, well they charged me for two $39 ribeyes.
I call the waiter back and he goes, "Oh, they were supposed to take that off." He takes the check back and about five minutes later, he comes back with a new check. I look over it again because now I have no trust, and sure enough they tried to charge me $6 for something I didn't order. We ask for a manager and manager goes over and fixes the check. when he comes back he says a quick little "sorry for that" and takes off.
So if you enjoy overcooked, average food, servers that can't get your bill right, and and overall confused staff and unapologetic managers, then this is your place to go. For us, we made a $150 mistake on our special date night.
The seafood here is outstanding. Rockfish and swordfish are definite winners.
Waited 10 minutes to be seated. No reception so went to bar. Busy wed. At 6:55. Ordered peel and eat shrimp which advertised at $1each. Waitress said you get5 or 6 cocktail shrimp. After 45 minutes git plate of hot boiled shrimp small about dozen. Not what i ordered but tired of waiting. Had to go find silverware and napkins... good shrimp but not as ordered. Halibut was main course.. took hour to get and forgot sauce... gave up asking no one to ask. Charges $10 for shrimp... disappointed. Lousy service and not that busy....
Good service, excellent food and drinks that were well priced at 5:30 pm on a Monday. I'm aware of several not so good experiences with a long wait as we had at Brio.
My favorite place to eat every time I visit Baltimore.
Very long wait times even with Reservation's.
Long gaps between receiving food. Over all the food was great.
Excellent food great environment on the Harbor will be attending again
The food was excellent. I had the crab cake for lunch. Great service and a beautiful environment.
Service was great, food was good and view was awesome.
Great location, inviting interior, and an excellent meal.
Food good.... Little slow in kitchen, restaurant was not crowded. Ruby is an excellent server (waitress) and certainly knew how to smooth our the small problems that occurred. Pictured is the chocolate bag dessert.
Went for my moms birthday and we loved it! Highly recommend the food.
Bartender Bernie very considerate; good customer service. Remembered my name and my beverage. Tasty clam chowder.
Jen was amazing!!
She suggested the shrimp kisses . Good, but fried
a little too long. The description says that there is cheese inside but I only got a taste of cheese on one of the four shrimp and I had.
At her suggestion I ordered the Fish dish Barramundi and it was delicious
I had a grilled in stead of blackened
Nice venue as well and you can see you right out onto the water
Give it a try
Slowest service, not enough staff. Cold food, expensive, bland and over cooked. The martini was okay, but we couldn't get a water refill.
It was Exellent, my wife and I will be going back there again. Exellent service.
I was there for a business luncheon. The service was great and the food was delicious. Nice view into the harbor. Great ambiance.
We took mom's here on mother's day. It was an all you can eat buffet with unlimited raw oysters, mussels, crab cakes, shrimp, snow crab legs, prime rib, smoked salmon, and a whole list of other foods.. the strawberry cheesecake was great. Friendly service and they were very courteous and professional.
Lobster bisque soup some of the best I've ever had. Shrimp kisses appetizer amazing. You can never go wrong with Smith Island Cake it was fresh like it just came from the bakery. There are a couple of issues with service :-(
a different waiter or waitress and we would have given it 5 stars
Food was off the charts and service was more then expected. Keep up the good work.
Another busy, bustling place on the Inner Harbor. Had the crab dip to start. Thick, rich, cream cheese base, but not a lot of crab. Then had the shrimp and crab stuffed salmon. Tasty, but very little crab and shrimp. Oh, well.
Great food great service and a great view of the harbour. A little difficult to find the entrance but well worth the effort.
Make sure you park in the gated parking lot. The restaurant will validate your parking for you
The customer service, the food is so delicious and the location and the dining experience is so elegant.
Had better, the rib eye was good, fillet mignon was horrible. Cheddar mashed potatoes was good
Visited in early September 2020 - The setting and location is the best part of this restaurant. The tables were nicely spread out for safe, socially-distanced dining and you've got a nice view of the Harbor. Sadly the food was just about average. The dishes are well described on the menu, but fell short on flavour. For appetizers: The Lobster Bisque was tasty, however the chowder was just ok. For the main course we tried the stuffed flounder and the scallops - both were average. Just ok. We didn't get dessert based on our experience with the first 2 courses. We did enjoy the view of the Harbor and the beautiful sunset view from our table by the water. It's an okay experience. Our server was great as well.
Waited over an hour and then told they weren't seating anyone else.
Always on point. Mother's Day Brunch with a varied and delicious selection. Always will be my favorite place to eat.
Nice view and so beautiful design. This restaurant is attractive like magnetic building. Next to hystoric lighthouse, skyscrapers and amazing bay.
The food is just ok, The expectations were higher, service was good but the food poor in flavor.
This location stands out for it's great views of the harbor. Has decent seafood to include very good and properly cooked wild salmon usually on the menu. Usually a reliable place to get some decent seafood like most other locations across the country.
Made 4:45 reservation 10 days prior and we had to wait an additional 30 minutes for our table. Order crab legs and they we cold and dry. Mahi Mahi was cold. The service was the worst I have receive in years. My husband ordered a 2nd drink, but never received it, yet we were charged for it. We waited well over an hour for our food. I will never attempt to visit this establishment again.
Was in town for conference, they were extremely understaffed, waitress made a joke out of situation, my food was very good(seafood Mac and Cheese), but the rest of my group got steak and they were fair at best. I would go back but won't order steak.
I am so disappointed at how staff & the restaurant manager treated a family member who is an active duty veteran today that I will NEVER go to your restaurant again. My family member, who has more than 700 days being deployed overseas and is entering his tenth year of service, was told he did not qualify for their advertised Veteran's Day special because he's not a vet!! Excuse me but the American War Library defines a veteran as anyone who has served for any length of time in any military branch. This young man has had to leave his family, including a young son, behind to serve our country for pay that many would find hard to live on. And they are going to be rude and argumentative with a customer who is also an active duty veteran -- this is absolutely unacceptable. Shame on you, McCormick & Schmuck.
Outside dining was really nice, quiet and food was great. Our waitress was really nice and always came over to check on us, food came out in a timely manner.
Not terribly impressed. I ordered the herb grilled chicken which came with green beans and roasted potatoes. The food came to me lukewarm, the potatoes were dried out, the chicken overdone. The beans were good and the bread was delicious, everything else was bland. It was pricey for an average plate of food.
Service was good. The food was a little disappointing for the prices.
Family treated me to M&S for Father's Day. Great meal and the service was great. A little different experience due to COVID-19 but M&S has taken all the necessary steps to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. I had the bone in ribeye steak with grilled sea bass with a side of shrimp. Will definitely be returning.
You can't go wrong here. Service was, of course, top notch and the location is lovely. Food was pretty damn good.
Decent for a chain restaurant. Better options in the area for sure
I don't normally post reviews for chains based on their food, but someone made the awesome calamari for our meal. Best calamari I've ever had. I'd like to steal their recipe!
