We liked the food, the service was fair, even though we were there at 5 PM, no hassle, hardly anyone else in the place. we had to wait quite a long time for our orders. The problems were two: the PARKING "validations" turned out to be a "discount". you can find better access paring anywhere for $10.00 or less. the espresso was close to $7.00. a little excessive.

We were four adults who had lunch here as a welcome for a friend from Houston. I ordered seafood and was amused upon seeing that there was Australian fish in the menu (I come from New Zealand). I ordered the Barramundi and enjoyed it. We had a very good lunch and enjoyed the whole experience.

Tableside cocktail service is on point. Truly an amazing and fun experience. Service however is lacking. We came on a very slow Tuesday afternoon and our waters were not refilled, our second drinks came after our lunch was finished and we waited over 20 min for our check. My biggest disappointment however was the food. U ordered the seared scallops. They were overdone and very tough. I bit into one and cut the rest in half and they were all the same. Our server asked how they were and I said "very overdone" she said "that's a shame" and walked away. When a manager came to clear our plates she saw all the scallops uneaten on my plate and looked confused but walked away with them without asking how they were. Finally ( after all plates were cleared) our server's returned and asked if she could re-fire them. I would have loved that when I initially told her about the problem, but now we are done. Then they only took 50% off for the scallops when clearly the main protein was not touched. We would have also loved dessert, but were not offered .. she just placed the check down and walked away. Very disappointed considering we choose this restaurant for it's good reviews. We visited at 3:00 pm on 7/9/19.

Meal was fine. Service was OK. MY problem was that I left my Visa Credit Card at the restaurant. The next day when I noticed that my card was missing I called the restaurant and they confirmed that they had the card in a safe place. I live in Cincinnati, but was traveling to Baltimore to attend a couple of baseball games @ Camden Yards. I gave the manager my home address and asked them to return my card, which he agreed to do. Waiting 2-3 days, the card didn't arrive, so I called again. Again the manager on duty indicated that they still had the card and would send it to my home. I again provided my home address. Waiting again 2-3 day the card still didn't arrive, so I called again. This time the manager on duty indicated that the card had been sent. Well again waiting 3-4 days the card didn't arrive, so I had to call the Visa Card Company and cancel the card and wait several days now for a new account number and card. Seems to me an enterprise as McCormicks & Schmidts could take care of a customer with prompt response to returning my credit card. Probably won't use McCormicks again anytime soon.

Hi, I went twice -- I was hoping the 2nd time would be better. The 1st time was
Mothers' Day & my family had good fish but I ordered Shrimp Newburg which had
1 tasteless shrimp & 2 large scoops of white rice. The 2nd time I went during
the week over the summer with my Mom & we ordered appitizers -- crab
cakes, fries + cole slaw -- that was considered an appitizer -- it was terrible !!!!
This is Baltimore, MD home of crab cakes + soggy unercooked fries + overuse
of mayo for the coleslaw. How do they stay in business ??????

This was my first time visiting this restaurant and I will say that everything exceeded my expectations. My husband and I were celebrating his birthday and so I made reservations a week or so prior to the date. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted promptly and seated and told that we were getting the best server ever. Well I can tell you that what they said was an understatement. Jen, our server, was outstanding. She offered excellent suggestions about entrees and made one hell of a mule for my husband. She even gave him a complimentary dessert for his birthday with a candle. Absolutely amazing night from start to finish. This is now one of my go to restaurants when visiting Baltimore.

I'm so glad we don't have one of these here in York Pa.. because I would literally weigh over 500 lbs guaranteed. It's amazingly addictively good The meat is mouthwatering- very tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The portions are very generous and I normally like to grab an extra bun and take it home w me so I can make.

Worst experience at a restaurant ever. Sadly, this is not an overstatement. We did not have a reservation (Sat 6/14/14) but were told seating was available right away in the bar/cocktail area. So we saw a table that needed to be bused but sat down. I asked someone to clear it and she said a bus boy would be by. Then our waitress stopped by and said there was a clean table over there (the corner) or we could just wait for the bus boy. We waited, big mistake. She came back again and cleared the table, visibly irratated that we did not want to move to the corner. Never introducted herself or greeted us and just asked if we knew what we wanted to drink. No menus yet. She came back with our drinks, by vodka cranberry had no ice-strange, but did not bring the requested waters, we placed our orders. After 10 minutes and no one in sight, I went to the bar and got two waters for my husband and me. While I was gone, the waitress did come by and my husband asked about some bread-they were out but making more and she would bring it out when ready. 10 more minutes, no bread. Two other waitresses walk by with bread and give to the tables around us. Our waitress is MIA. Then our food arrives an we asked the runner for bread and he brings it right out. No one comes to check on our dinner or the temp of my husbands steak or take additional drink orders. The waitress walks by us several times and does not check in before she goes missing again.
The presentation of the food was not great. The plates were way too big making the food look tiny. My crabcakes were great and my husbands steak, although cooked M instead of MR, was fine and the stuffed shrimp were good.
I went to the hostess stand and asked if our waitress had another sections in a different part of the restaurant since we hadn't seen her for a while and were now looking for our check. I let them know she had not even checked in on our meal. She came over with the bill right after that and said she was also running room service (strange), but no real appology was offered and she still didn't ask how our meal was. No manager came over to check on us.
Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner put a huge black cloud over the whole weekend getaway. It was dissapointing since the McCormick & Schmick's in Philadelphia is so nice, we thougth this one would be also and it was on the water so offered a nice view. Next time we will hit up one of the restaurants in Fells Point instead.
Also the bathrooms were rather messy.

William was an amazing server. He was very courteous asking if we had any time constraints (we did) and that was so nice! The food was delicious. I got the wedge salad and swordfish. The portions were great for the price. I will continue to come back when I'm in Baltimore! Yummmm!

Bottom line...unless you have $40 to throw down per entree (not including drinks, appitizers or desserts), don't eat here. the food was ok but not spectacular and you could find it better prepared at Red Lobster for half the price.

Out server came back once to check on us then disappeared until it was time to give us our check.

Overall disappointing, I won't be going back.

My husband and I had only a limited time for dinner in July 2012, but the staff was able to accommodate us and serve us a memorable meal nonetheless. When we told the server, Ernie, that we had an airplane to catch, he literally ran our order to the kitchen. We enjoyed a superb seafood dinner in short order, including outrageously tasty lump crab cakes. We would definitely go back!

Went to grab dinner on 10/11/14. Sat in the bar area. No sooner did we place our ordered we see a MOUSE running across the floor. Waitress was trying to catch it, women were jumping up on their chairs. We left immediately!

This could have been an excellent experience but b...

This could have been an excellent experience but because of two missing meal items and mediocre service with poor excuses, this only deserves three stars. The Maryland Crab soup was excellent. My husband ordered the sirloin steak meal which was to come with mashed potatoes. The waiter said the potatoes were being made and would be delivered but he never received them, the waiter never checked back to offer an option. When the check was brought, I asked about the mashed potatoes and the waiter replied, "well they take a long time to make." I replied, " but they are supposed to come with the meal," silence. I had the Chef's Special of the Day which was a combination of crab legs, andouille sausage, clams, mussels, corn on the cob and red potatoes. The crab was dried out and there was no shrimp, everything was good. When asked how my meal was I told the waiter that the crab was dry and he asked why I didn't tell him, I didn't tell him because he never checked back with us after he served the meal until he brought the check. I didn't realize until we left that there was no shrimp in my meal. My husband observed our waiter filling in as bartender so perhaps he had too many duties that shift. We were given a card for a free future appetizer which is appreciated, however, for the amount of money spent on a late lunch, I'm apprehensive about giving the restaurant an opportunity to provide a full meal. I'll be more observant next time.

Went there for the Happy Hour specials. It has a nice atmosphere and is a nice place to unwind after work. The service was a bit slow and it wasn't even busy, but our server was nice overall. I would recommend visiting for the happy hour if you're looking for inexpensive eats and drinks.

Great food and attentive, friendly service. The lobster bisque was extremely flavorful with a generous amount of chunks of lobster meat. Shrimp kisses were cooked perfectly and delicious. Fish and chips was a good portion and very good. We will definitely return.

This place is always good. Only had an appetizer today. The parmesan pesto oysters were amazingly delicious. I also had a glass of wine. If you get the oyster, make sure you squeeze the lemon on top. The citrus adds flavor.

We are so glad that Rusty Scupper Restaurant & Bar was totally booked and told us not to come. We went to McCormick & Schmick's was excellent. Food was out of this world best scallops and salmon I've ever had and the service was wonderful not to mention the beautiful view from the patio. Will definitely go back when we are in town.

The worst New York strip steak I ever have in my life, it costs $39 without any side dish, and it is a USDA choice. The waiter was not friendly at all. The price is very expressive. Never go back again.

Last weekend, my girlfriend and I went to the Inner Harbor for a nice weekend away. As we arrived, we went to McCormick and Schmick's and tried to get a table outside. The hostess told us that it would be an hour and she would text us when a table was available. That was no problem and we walked around and after an hour, there was no text so we went back. The hostess then said, it would be another half an hour. Again, we waited and after 20 minutes and no text, we just decided to wait in the lobby. The same hostess that had talked to us the previous two times, asked us if we were waiting for a table, as if we were not just there twice before. After we were seated and had just waited an hour and a half to eat, were were told that the restaurant was out of parmeasan crusted chicken, the meal that we had waited an hour an a half for. In its place, we ordered burgers done medium well. They came out medium rare. My girlfriend and I go out to eat multiple times a week and this was by far the worst dining experience that we had ever had and we will never go back. Don't go to McCormick and Schmick's in the Inner Harbor. Awful service and awful food.

Chain seafood that is actually decent. Good service as well. The wife and I popped in on Christmas Eve and had a few items. The wait staff and hostesses were friendly which is saying something for people having to work a full day on Christmas Eve.

I have been here previously and I really enjoyed it. This location is nice and the waterside view is great. This past Father's day was not the best experience. We had a party of 4, the waitress was outstanding but the food was sub par in my opinion. The lobster bisque was luke warm, the seafood in my seafood platter was slightly overcooked...shrimp was rubbery and the crab cake was a bit dry...none of which is expected at a high end steak and seafood restaurant. Maybe it was a fluke and there were issues as they were slightly busy.....notice I'm making excuses. If give them another try before writing them off. Maybe better next time. The food should be hot and moist for $$$-$$$$.

Disappointing. The food is mediocre with a very fancy price tag. The service is OK and the outdoor place is a nice. If you want to go to an upscale fabulous restaurant and willing to pay the price, this restaurant might not be your best choice.

Delicious food but more impressive than that we were there on Memorial Day. I was very impressed that veterans on Memorial Day and Veterans Day get a free meal. I did not partake in the free meal because there's a special menu 4 veterans. I wanted a steak so I paid for my. The waiter was a little misleading I ordered something that was not on the menu and was a special. I paid way too much 4 the special but I appreciated what they did for veterans so I didn't complain.

There was a ball game in town so every place was busy. The steak was great and so was the crab cakes. The lobster rav was sitting under the heat lamps way too long. It was tough and dry. The flavor was good but why mine was made before the steak to wait was not smart. Not worth the cost.

We went for Mother's Day. Food was great. But management sat us at a raised table in the bar area, with 2 little kids. Then they didn't manage the bar patrons properly so folks were just slovenly leaning on our table and crowding us.

We asked to be moved, but the wait staff balked. Eventually we had to ask a patron not to lean on our table and a member of their party ended up calling my wife an @s$-hole. On mother's day. Brilliant.

Before things escalated physically, they did reseat us to a more appropriate location. But they didn't do anything about the other group, nor offer us anything to make up for their poor mangement.

I'd have to think long and hard before going back.

The first advantage of this restaurant is its position snd the view one can have from on Baltimore bay.
We were a group of 7. We ordered several appetizers for sharing and we were delighted.
The food was excellent, the appetizers and the main dishes.
I highly recommend this restaurant.

It is what it is. A pricey seafood and steaks joint. The staff makes the difference and the man and woman working the bar the night we were there were taking care of business, even after the place packed in after the En Vogue concert.
