I love their happy hour. Great food and drink options!
My wife, 3-year-old son, and I went here for Christmas dinner. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner. We generally avoid chain restaurants. However, give that it was Christmas, the options were limited. Our server was very friendly and the staff were accomodating to our son. I was surprised how crowded the restaurant was. I think this resulted in some slow service (e.g., took a little bit of time to get our 2nd round of drinks). I had the grilled seafood trio, which I enjoyed. The crabcakes were my least favorite. They weren't your traditional Maryland crab cakes (no lump crab meat). My wife had the chef's salmon special, which was stuffed with crabmeat and brie. She enjoyed that. My son had the calamari and thai chicken spring rolls, which he ate up. I wouldn't say the portion sizes were small; rather, they were reasonable.
Only there once, it was perfect, a little pricey but perfect
Took forever to acknowledge my husband and I. Waited about 10 minutes at hostess stand to be seated. Extremely slow service. Food is very bland, not flavorful at all. Crab cakes and cocktails were good, though. I m not one to complain, as I work in the restaurant industry myself and have for many years. After a 5 hour flight, I wanted nothing more than a nice meal and a hood atmosphere. Manager was VERY rude and disrespectful when I informed her of how disappointing this experience was! We were visiting Baltimore from out of state and will NOT be back to this establishment. I do not recommend. Found much better eatery around the city with excellent customer service.
Great food, but couldn't control the temperature, one minute it was warm, the next it was freezing, you take your coat off, then you put it back on, didn't know if you were coming or going, but still had a good time
Service is indifferent. It's 6.30pm on Friday, St. Pat's, and the bar, which can easily take 50 has exactly 7 people in it! Go figure.
Beautiful setting, relaxed atmosphere, interesting and healthy menu, good and attentive service.
Awesome place. Incredible service, with great tasting food and reasonable prices for what you're getting.
Not to mention their happy hour is fantastic
HORRENDOUS SERVICE and the food was meh. We made reservations at 10 pm (Saturday night) and got there on time. Now I know it is a Saturday night and you want to get off but the following is unacceptable. First, it took forever for the waiter to even take our order. This is fine I do not mind this. We were having a good time and relaxing. Then it took forever for the food to come out (~45 minutes). This is also fine. BUT, then around 10 minutes into eating the waiter comes over and just takes the plate from out in front of my and starts clearing the table!!! He was like let me wrap this up, etc. etc. I understand you want to get off but don't take forever to take our order and bring the food and then rush us out the door. And to top it off, I asked him to bring a desert with a candle in it for one of our guest's birthdays (I even told him I didn't mind paying for it and I was not looking for hand outs). He COMPLETELY forgot to do it. Would NEVER go back here again and would not recommend you to either unless you don't mind pricey dishes accompanied by poor service. At least the food was decent.
This place was great!!! Patio seating, great service, great food.
Thought I would be here leaving a beautiful review; however, that all changed on Friday, September 13th. My friend and I had reservations for 8:15 pm but we didn t arrive until 8:30 pm, due to finding parking. They were understanding and we were seated immediately. As we were looking at the menu, we realized 15 minutes had passed. At that point, we were still undecided on what to order. At the same time, no one had acknowledged our presence at the table. So, we figured after five or so more minutes, if we had decided what to order and no one came to the table, we would leave. Well, the hostess came by and we asked her the name of or server. We told her we have been waiting for 25 minutes and no one came to the table. She couldn t tell us his name. Not sure if she forgot his name or she forgot to add a table in his section. At any rate, she was apologetic and told us he would be right out. At that point, I started thinking that I was a fool waiting for 25 minutes (might as well say half an hour) for someone to greet us. Needless to say, we finally got up and left and told the hostess we were leaving. Again, she was apologetic and justified it by saying our server had a large party, it s busy, so on and so forth. I ve worked in the restaurant business. I was a server. At any time, if it was busy and you couldn t handle your section, the manager would assign another server to take your table. So there was no valid justification. Thank God the harbor has a plethora of other restaurants to dine at. We concluded our evening at Blackwall Hitch...
I was so excited to go after hearing such good reviews but I was really disappointed. Our server was an elderly man who had some hearing issues. Not a problem but he asked three to four times what we wanted to drink and it got annoying. The More
Ambiance and service was great but not the food. Not much satisfied, I would call it just average....
Met there for a group gathering! Good food, good drinks!
This is specifically for the one in Baltimore. Went for a drink and there was no one in sight. Waited 5 minutes until the bartender came by. We asked to be seated and he seemed annoyed. He seated us on the patio in Hope's someone would see us. Waitress was friendly but obviously didn't know much. She didn't know the menu or what drinks they serve. Overall, not impressed.
It must be under new management. I waited 35minutes for the check. The bar wasn't even busy! Bring Rob and Jennifer back, the current staff appears to have no idea how to run a bar. It was absolutely ridiculous, worst service I've ever experienced at a McCormick's franchise!
I would love to visit this place again and try the other things in their menu as well.
Poor service, overpriced, unconcerned staff. Found another, much better place for our dinner.
My family and I have always had a great time when we come here. I would definitely recommend.
Amazing food and great views of the inner harbor!! Calamari was very good, light, and crispy!! The shrimp and crab stuffed salmon was simply the best I've ever had!! The creme sauce was such a great complement. Our server was Ashley and she made great suggestions. The chef also came out which was nice!! Everyine was pleased with their order. Will def be back!!
This is one of our new favorite things to do, we order from M&S, do curbside pickup - go home and cook it ourselves. It's exponentially cheaper this way, and tastes just as good (if you know what you're doing).
Server was very nice, but bar got my drink wrong. Super slow with bringing drinks and food. Prices are very steep!!
My wife and I went for our Anniversary. Expensive but worth the hype! Service is extremely gracious and efficient like clockwork. Menu set up for tasting where you pick courses is wonderful. We had 3 courses each, plus dessert, complimentary amuse bouche and bread - and left full. Even though courses are small, ingredients are rich so 3-4 courses is probably the way to go unless you're famished. Food is really well done across the board. One thing that really sets Charleston apart is the wine list & pairings. I have been in the wine business 10 years and looking at the list is a dream come true of insider favorites that you just won't find elsewhere: from 30 Year Amontillado with 1st course to 1996 Blandy's Madeira with dessert, these are wines chosen by someone who knows & is passionate about finding wines that really over-deliver. Any steakhouse can buy big name & charge big price, but Charleston excels at finding gems.
Visited in early September 2020 - The setting and location is the best part of this restaurant. The tables were nicely spread out for safe, socially-distanced dining. For appetizers: The Lobster Bisque was tasty, however the chowder was just ok. For the main course we tried the stuffed flounder and the scallops - both were average. Just ok. We didn't get dessert based on our experience with the first 2 courses. We enjoyed the view of the Harbor and the beautiful sunset view from our table by the water. It's an okay experience. Our server was great as well.
Only been here once while on vacation. Hit it during happy hour. Ended up just getting several appetizers and drinks. Their menu looked good, and our food was very nice. I'm looking forward to going back on my next trip to Baltimore.
Pricey but worth every penni. The raw oysters are glorious.
OMG! WHAT AN AMAZING RESTAURANT! My husband and I patronized this restaurant today for his birthday. From entering the place the maitre d was dressed and professional. We were seated immediately. Our waitress Tesh quickly came over and showed us both the happy hour and regular menu. She shared the house specialties as well as some customer faves. The drinks were good, the food was amazing. We ordered fish tacos and calamari. Both were hot and full of flavor. We then ordered the lettuce wedge salads and it was so fresh and colorful. The white vinaigrette dressing was light but flavorful. Lastly, we ordered crab stuffed salmon and crab stuffed shrimp both with mashed potatoes and string beans. We picked over them NOT because they weren't absolutely amazing but because we were stuffed from all the previous foods.lol Tesh repeatedly came to the table to refill our glasses, offer her service, and check to make sure we were okay. We definitely took the leftovers home and ate them for dinner. We WILL DEFINITELY BE VISITING THIS LOCATION AGAIN! The service was outstanding. Tesh offered us the rewards card as well as gave us the history of Landry's company. She should definitely be promoted to a manager. She was the best!
The food was good, but the service hsd a lot to be desired. We did not see our waiter after we got our meals?
Food was spectacular. Seasoned right, hot upon delivery and enough to satisfy your appetite. Waitress was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Highly recommend to anyone in the area.
Great food and drinks. The waitress was very nice. I'll go back again.
So we arrived 15 minutes early and checked in with the hostess and were seated we had a pleasant but average meal
Wait staff was very good to excellent with regard to serve .....but the hostess not so much
I booked through open table
about 1.5 hours after arriving received an email from open table stating I had missed my reservation which went on about proper behavior if you cannot make your reservation. It really spoiled the evening
It appears as if the hostess is incompetent.
Live music on the patio was too loud so it was impossible to carry on a conservation
many other choices in Baltimore for similar cuisine
will not return
Over priced Outback. I had higher expectations I suppose but my salmon was fishy stuffed shrimp looked sorry. Crab cake was not good either. I would skip this restaurant. Our waitress was very nice however!
The wait at Miss Shirley's was insane and there was no wait at McCormick & Schmick. I have been there on several occasions. It is usually hit or miss. My last experience was lacking. There was nothing memorable about my meal.
Hostess was no nowhere to be found and there were people backed up behind the "Wait to be seated " sign. The server was very polite when ahe took our drink order but then stated she had no idea what we ordered. You don't know what an Old Fashioned is? And you work in a steakhouse? Cannot recommend.
Love this place because you are in a adult atmosphere feel like a millionaire without spending that much money. But what a feeling to go on a date and be your favorite superstar... just to see a smile on a woman's face and your the snack after.
Very nice atmosphere and great service. The food was great.I would recommend this to my friends and family.
This is Baltimore 5-stars. There are better places, the food was good (which is the important part), but the servers are just trying to get through the day. The layout it's wired, but it does help keep the noise down. The inside needs to be redone with new carpet and decoration. There is a parking garage which they validate for, but only until 2 hours. 5 minutes past that and it will cost to $12 and it goes up from there.
I've shared my Anniversary with this restaurant for 3 years now but yesterday would be my last time. The service was horrible and so long to get service. I always get the soup and it was always filled with seafood but not this time , it had nothing like the previous years like I had before. My entree was alright but not a meal I would recommend to anyone. I hate giving you this review but I thought you should know so you can correct this . Thank you .
Inconsistent service......told only dinner menu at lunch but watching them serve sandwiches to other guests....manager visited our table....think he is confused as well
Just visited for happy hour the last time. Drinks were great but weren't very strong and food selection was decent, especially with the hummus for the Veg crowd. Crab devilled eggs are sub-par. Parking was validated but still costs $10 bucks which is not ideal. Find street parking if you can walk a little bit
Great food, upscale environment, great location in the Inner Harbor in Baltimore.
The food was excellent but the service was horrible! We went because it's directly across from Pier 6 and we we wanted to grab a bite b4 the concert began. It was not busy @ all! Our waitress took a while to greet us, then and hour later after taking drink orders she says she put in our order but something must have happened because our order disappeared from the board. I explained that we were here for a concert and she says well give me your order and I'll rush it with no regard. My husband tells her our order again. We got No bread, had to ask a different waiter for bread food comes out great, only one problem my husband orders steak but we only have a butter knife. She took forever to come back again when she does he is more than halfway through the steak. She can tell I'm not to happy and she says mistakes happen like really flips her hair and leaves!!!! I said nothing, we ate our food she disappears. The manager walks by and I have to ask him for the check!!!! She comes back and says I'll give you a beer!!!!! Got the check, gave her a $10 tip on an over $100 bill and if you ask me that was generous of my husband and I!!!! Food was good but not worth the attitude and horrible service!
Great for gathering, food options were limited because it was a big party, but nice staff
Our server Tiffany was great with answering our questions about our food tonight. The food was great and the Manager Crystal was very pleasant as well.
Great cocktails, great food, great oysters. Overall great experience, thanks in large part to our waitress, Nicole. She was incredibly knowledgeable and had great recommendations for everything from wine to entrees. She rocks.
Had a lovely evening with my wife! Can't wait to come back!
You NEVER disappoint And in this era that s quite an accomplishment. The lobster bisque was
wonderful!
Unexpected stop between MA and NC on Christmas day. Staff could not have been more attentive. Local oysters were good. Kobe burger was excellent. Lobster Cobb salad was beautifully presented, but a bit bland. Beer and cocktail list was small as are most chains. Warm decor and great views made it a great visit.
Amazing experience! My son and three friends were being deployed the next day. They flew in from South Dakota and we decided to take all four of them out to dinner. Every one was wonderful especially the Waitress and the Chef. He came out to greet the boys and to Thank them for their service. Thank You for a wonderful time.
Good food, great views. My main complaint is that the parking lot they recommended is expensive, and they don't validate.
Food, service and atmosphere was great. Ate at the bar, and the bartenders were very attentive and friendly to everyone! Will be back!
I can't say enough good things about this place, great food, they make a great drink and are on the water for an excellent view.
Staff very friendly. Entree very delicious and plenty full, but could be a little bit hotter mashed potatoes were cold and lumpy greenbeans beans only warm. Lighting could could be brighter had to use flashlight on phone.
Very good with delicious foods. Nice service too. But slightly expensive.
Food was awesome, waiter was very pleasant and attentive to our needs. Will definitely come back again to dine here.
The food was good but I expected better. The portions are small and may not be filling. The crab stuffed shrimp was good, but there was only a teaspoon of crab stuffing on the shrimp. The service was also lacking.
McCormick & Schmick provided the worst dining experience of my life on Mother's Day. The waiter was totally incompetent: service was incredibly slow; we had to ask for bread; he forgot my salad altogether, even when I reminded him; the entree was incredibly small; the dessert I requested was unavailable; and then he padded the bill with an extra bottle of wine and a crab dip that we did not order. I have been in diners that provided better service.
Great seafood. Plates were cleaned. My Grandkids loved it
Nice place. My girl and I ate here before a concert. They're a chain but their food is pretty damn good albeit a little pricey.. The service was great and we got to look out on the harbor during the meal.
Outdoor seating right by the water. Seafood was soooo good!
Good food. Waterfront views. Warm toasty bread served with each entree.
Went the day after Valentine's day. Me and my companion had a great experience. Had never been before..will come back soon. Our waitress Brittany was the best. Atmosphere superb and the meals were cooked perfectly. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Great seafood and drinks but everything is a la carte, bring your money
Excellent food, service, location and atmosphere. Not much more you can ask for! Top notch.
Sea Bass was amazing!! Good Service, Drinks were just ok. Overall no complaints, will def be back!
Nice restaurant with that old urban wood look. Food and service were excellent. Portion size we thought was a bit on the small side but since we're watching what we eat, it was OK with us. Restaurant wasn't busy when we went but food was a little slow in our opinion. Still, an enjoyable experience.
Very very bad service. I was here with the intent to have dinner with my girlfriend; first I did not have a waiter assigned to my table until after 15mins when I complained. We waited over an hour 30mins and the food did not come. Lastly the manager refused to speak to us after several attempts of getting the waiter to draw his attention. The server complained and there was no reasonable explanation for this bad experience. I am NEVER coming back to this place ever!!
The bartender was great: prompt, engaging, quick witted. However, it s just a mediocre restaurant that can somehow change a lot for very little value.
The Hostess is great & accommodating. The food is good. The service is HORRIBLE. My hubby & I were trying to have a romantic evening, mybwaitress never refilled my drink, no napkins, no s&p, then they set a party of 15 w/7 young children at 11:00pm. I had to ask 3 different t wait staff for cocktail sauce with one telling me, "I can't help you if you don't tell me your server is.? I said, "Your answer should be Let me get that for you." He told me go to hell. I paid $164 for that? I will NEVER eat there again. You will be disgusted with the service.
Food was very good as was the service. One disappointment. The waitress did not inform of the discounted Restaurant Week menu until after she brought us the check. Would have saved me about $45 but, I still tipped her generouslty. Overall good experience.
