We had a great experience buying a new CX-9 from Mazda of Clear Lake. Our sales associate, Mirza, was extremely polite, knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. We took 3 test drives over the course of a week trying to make sure it was the right car for us, and Mirza was always accommodating and answered all of our very detailed questions. Once we decided on the purchase, the process was quick and painless. And when Mirza wasn't available, other sales associates and managers were happy to answer my questions as well.
We had our old CX-7 serviced at this dealership a few times (timing chain and VVT replacement, wheel bearing replacement), and were always satisfied with the service.
Mitchell was very helpful and knowledgeable giving me a pressure free experience while searching for the perfect car. Highly recommended will come back and ask to work with him in the future.

This review is for the parts department. We needed a part and called Clear Lake Mazda on Saturday and was told they did not have it in stock and would have to order it. Stated it "could" be in by Monday , but for sure would be in by Tuesday. We called Tuesday morning at 7:30am to make sure the part was coming in..or what time it was expected. Was told to call back b/c we "have to" speak to the person who took the order! We called back at 8am and spoke to the guy who took the order and he told us to call back at noon. We called back @ noon and the same guy tells us to call back at 1pm. We call back @ 1pm and this time, the guy took our number and said he would call us back. (Meanwhile, given what was told to us on Saturday, husband took off work on Tuesday to pick up the part and install it for his work vehicle). After not hearing back from the "guy", we called them back at 1:45pm and was immediately "transferred" to the parts manager, Xavier who proceeded to tell us the part did not come in-even though it showed it should have been on the truck. After much back and forth, including superflous details,v(i.e. CYA) he tells us that the part is coming from Georgia. We then ask if any other mazda dealership in Houston has the part? He looks it up and says no...only Beaumont, Austin or San Antonio and no place can get the part here today. We hang up and then call Beaumont to make sure the part is there-looking to possibly drive over there today. They say yes, and the part is $18 less than Mazda Clearlake. We then decide to call another dealership in Houston randomly (Deeter Mazda). Guess what? They have the part in stock and are also $18 less than Clear Lake Mazda. I call Xavier back and inform him about all this and before I could tell him about Deeter Mazda-he interrupts and says that each dealership has their own price. I then inform him about Deeter and he starts back sliding and states that he didn't think Clear Lake Mazda has a contract with Deeter! Bottom line...got our money back from Clear Lake and have the part in hand from Deeter as I type, plus the $18 savings. Really hated the run around and failure to make it right (i.e. Xavier should have advised us that he was not "really" looking for the part in all dealerships in Houston--apparently only dealerships which Clear Lake has a "contract" with?? Very poor customer service.
I had a fabulous experience at Mazda of Clear Lake! I went to this location because of Otto Schnellbacher, who is a sales rep I went through previously for my 2015 leased car. Otto is such a wonderful and honest guy; I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone and everyone! Working with Otto was easy and effortless. Actually, everyone that I spoke with/worked with was the same way. Bought a Mazda6 back in 2016. Car has been very reliable and meets the specs in terms of gas mileage. Service for 3 years is a nice perk too. Had a very good experience at my previous service checkout, seems they may have new personnel.
Why only 4 stars? I took my wife to check out a Mazda and we did not have as good of an experience. The manager said they would give us a deal but would not provide any details giving us a strange vibe. She had her heart set on a different car anyway.

Great experience here purchasing my pre-owned vehicle. Otto Schnellbacher was the salesperson. He explained the whole process, helped with getting the most fair deal with my trade in, and explained the features in my car, made sure I was comfortable using the technology I was not familiar with yet. He was very knowledgeable about the car and answered all my questions. The service department is great too. All the employees I spoke with were respectful and courteous. Matt B. was the service advisor who helped out with my windshield replacement. Everything I needed taken care of got done quickly! Otto even made sure I got my sunglasses back which I forgot about in my trade in vehicle. I'm happy I chose to come to this dealership!!
I came to the Mazda Clear Lake dealership from about 3 hours away. I called ahead of time and scheduled a time to meet with Alex S. to look at a Mini Cooper I had my eyes on. Alex was able to provide all of the details that I needed ahead of time (as this was my first time buying a car) and he worked with me through driving a standard, which I had little previous experience with. He provided a great experience for my first time purchase and was very professional. The dealership is clean and inviting. I would definitely recommend them to someone looking for their next car.

Go in for a small car repair and get quoted 2400 for unnecessary work. I needed a repair that actually cost 430. They added on services to total 2400. I said no.
Just got my first car here and I m so glad I chose this dealership. The sales people are amazing. Kizito was my sales person and he was so helpful and accommodating to helping me get the best deal for me. I highly recommend going here.

We were quoted over $1,200 from a local repair shop to fix our AC which included a new computer. When we actually wanted to get it fixed they were closed so we brought the car here even though I always think dealership repairs are a lot more expensive than normal. Turned out the repair was half what was expected and we managed to get the AC, brakes overhauled, and coolant flush for less than what we were originally quoted for the AC repair. Only complaint was that we were told it would be ready in the morning and it was barely ready before the end of the day. They even offered us a loaner the day before because of an earlier delay because of a part though we had a extra car.
My experience with Mazda of Clear Lake has been outstanding so far. I came in the buy a 2012 Mazda3. Before showing up, I communicated with my salesman, Richard Ainsworth, via email and phone, and we agree d on the out the door cost of the car. Once I arrived at the dealership, we looked over the car, completed the paper work, and I took delivery that evening. Richard was very professional and friendly the entire time, and stayed true to our agreement.
My review will be split in two parts so that people can have a true picture of Mazda of Clear Lake. It seems most reviews here focus exclusively on the car purchase, which is really only half the deal of buying a car. It would be like saying "It was super easy buying a TV!" and giving a place 5 stars, with complete disregard to any of the follow-ups (warranty, customer service, returns, etc).
It was convenient buying a car. The process was smooth, the salesperson was nice, and they answered all of my questions. They said I would get free oil changes, which sounded great. The financing guy was trying to sell me all kinds of stuff but I opted not to get any further warranties after reading into details what the extra warranty actually covers. I would give 4 stars for the actual process of buying my car.
The bad part is everything else. Those free oil changes take hours (and that is with an appointment!). On top of that, they will nickel and dime you for everything they can find during that oil change. They will look for everything that could be wrong, even though you purchased a brand new car from them 6 months ago. They will say you need to replace the oil filter, that you should get their full blown service for hundreds of dollars, that your time belt needs replacement, etc. At this point I would much rather pay for my oil change from an honest mechanic than deal with these pushy tactics. On top of that, their front desk lady had her headphones in and had her feet on the counter. I think that shows what kind of a place it is.
Look at the reviews on Yelp; I think those reviews paint a much more accurate picture. 99% of the Google Reviews focus only on the process of buying the car.

Kenny is the first salesman I ever met that did not pressure me and I could tell he genuinely wanted to help me. Both Mirza Beg and Chris Lofflea were extremely helpful and efficient on the sales side. However, the finance department has not addressed any of our concerns since we purchased the vehicle. All messages and emails have been ignored. Next purchase will be elsewhere.

My name is Lena Payne I brought my 2003 Mazda six into Mazda of clear Lake. My service associate Jeremih was the one who greeted me. My car has 79,000 miles it has never been in a shop at all everything was stock! But it was time to get everything up to new working order. Jeremiah was the best associate that I've ever worked with! He treated my car as if it was his own! I dropped it off on a Thursday and in return they gave me a brand new loaner. Jeremih called me every day to let me know what they were doing. I even had my car tinted in the headliner replaced. They had a hard time matching the headliner but he found someone and it looks beautiful! The mechanics did a beautiful job they basically took my engine apart and put everything new in it! Jeremiah then called and told me that everything was almost finished and he wanted me to pick up the next day. I also had my car completely detailed. He wanted me to pick up my car right after the detailing so it would look beautiful! So I arrived at noon six days after my car had been in . When he showed me my car I couldn't believe it! They even clean the engine it look like it just came off the showroom floor! I love my little baby and she will give me many years to come! If it wasn't for Jeremiah taking care of me I would've been worried the whole time but he kept in contact with me daily! He is so awesome and was very courteous and respectful and Mazda of Clearlakes staff are all wonderful starting from the secretary who answers the phone to the very end of making my car beautiful by detailing it! I recently purchased a CX-5 and was extremely pleased with how easy the process was here. Kenneth was great to work with and broke all of the typical "car salesman" stereotypes. He made everything easy, straight forward and treated me with respect (I had some issues at other dealerships in Houston since I'm a young female customer). They offered me the most competitive pricing right off the bat. I would highly recommend purchasing through this dealership and would especially recommend working with Kenneth.
Sales staff was great and everything at the dealership left me with positive impression. However, the finance department has dropped the ball repeatedly. I traded in my car fifteen days ago and DeMontrond has yet to pay off the trade. I now have to make a payment on a vehicle that I no longer have.

I bought my Mazda CX-5 in November, 2017, and could not be happier! My salesman, Otto was thorough, informative and very pleasant to work with. His manager, Matt was also friendly and helpful and easy to work with. My feeling and observation as a whole, was that the general atmosphere of Clear Lake Mazda, including other salespeople was friendly, caring and made for a comfortable experience. And, after my purchase, the sales and service department have been absolutely wonderful and attentive in so many ways. From getting regular maintenance to replacing a damaged tire after I ran over a nail to just getting help with general questions, my experience has been they were friendly, punctual and went to great lengths to make for a positive experience. Kriss, who works in the Service department was especially attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable, as well as Michael and DJ. I am a people person and notice when a company goes to such great lengths to manage and have such a qualified, friendly, and professional staff.

Bought a "certified" Mazda3 here. Price was decent, car looked great and I didn't have any major issues with my buying experience. The car was listed as certified, but wasn't actually "Mazda certified" which comes with a short warranty. I had a few issues with the car not long after buying, but couldn't get it fixed under warranty due to it not being "Mazda certified". Wish that would have been made clear up front. Car was also sold with tires that were over six years old (older than the car). How did that happen? They also conveniently didn't mention they only had one key until I was signing paperwork. Do your homework with these guys and ask a lot of questions. Don't assume "certified" means "Mazda certified". Go elsewhere if you don't want to have to watch your back.

Dexter is the guy you want to see. Had the car ready before I got there. Took photos of it before I even scheduled a trip. Polite, courteous, prepared and professional through and through. Ahmad was great as well. Far and away better than other Mazda dealers in the area.

This is a great place to buy a car. The sales manager Tim, who likes to eat interesting food, and Kizito who was my salesman , and Mike who is the F&I Manager made me feel excited to buy a car. There was no back and forth between people looking for the best deal, it was just amazing. I dislike car shopping at dealerships normally, but this one is surprisingly open and friendly. Everyone greeted me while I was there with a smile on their face. I really didn't go in that night to take a car home, but that is what happened. The first time I drove my new Mazda I was hooked.

Had every single Mazda service at this branch. Flawless customer service, and staffs are very friendly and knowledgeable on their work. I have not met anyone not supportive on this branch. Waiting area is not fancy but cozy.
My experiences have always been first class. As a woman, there is always the concern when having to repair or maintain your car that you may get ripped off. This is not the case with Mazda of Clear Lake.
I was very concerned when the man (Chris Howell) who normally helped me moved away. However, I spoke with Dustin Stookey the manager and he partnered me with Mikal. Dustin and Mikal have made me feel even more comfortable. They take the time to explain technical information in laymen s terms and encourage me to ask questions so that I know exactly what to expect.
The services are fairly priced and the people are incredible. I couldn t be more satisfied as a customer.
My wife and I purchased a 2018 CX9 from the dealership today. Our salesman Chris, was pleasant and easy to deal with. Moreover the new car manager Matthew Nay was the driving force in securing our business. He told us he would do whatever it took to earn our business and he came through. I would highly recommend Matt and Chris to anyone who was interested in great customer service and an excellent deal.
I ve been coming to this location for the past 3 years for routine maintenance and extensive work to be performed. Previous experiences have been good. But of course when it comes to me spending over $3,000 that s when all the problems begin.
I took my car in to be serviced during the first week of August and spent just over $3,000 on repairs just for me to leave and the check engine light comes on a hour later. Took it back up there and now I have to pay another $2,000. The money isn t the issue, but the lack of communication from the rep(Johnathan) and the fact that it s been nearly a month and I m now told he is bending over backwards. I just wanted my car fixed the first time. Why is it that I m the one needing to constantly be proactive? I feel the ball has been dropped constantly during this process.
Overall, I m not sure if I will visit this location again. If I do, I will need to be seen by another service advisor or the manager(who seems to be nice and understanding of the frustration).
Based on this experience I cant give 5 stars.

We purchased a Mazda 6 from Mazda of clear lake. The sales staff were very friendly and they knew everything I wanted to know and more. They were very knowledgeable. They were also very easy to deal with. There was a great selection of cars. Everyone was nice. They gave me tips and tried to see what I wanted. I recommend this dealer to everyone.
I just bought another car from this dealership, from Kenny to the rest of the management and finance team, they gave me an excellent deal. These guys know how to take care of their customers, plain and simple. This is my fourth car from this dealership, and I have bought both new and used, never had a problem, always answer me when I need something, prompt service, excellent knowledge, great staff.

I went with low expectations. I needed a car, a new car, to continue making long commutes. To say I'm credit challenged would be an understatement. I was upfront with their team. Chris and his manager did everything humanly possible to make sure I left with a safe, reliable car. These guys bent over backwards to make my car buying experience a huge success. I could not be happier and Mazda of Clear Lake has made a customer for life. Please, if you're considering buying a new car stop in and speak with Chris Danzell.
Horrible! I own a local transmission shop and have been buying parts from this location for about a year. In February we had a Mazda 3 that was having a lot of electrical issues that made the transmission mess up (but it wasn't an internal trans issue). We decided to take it to the local "experts" for assistance. They checked it out and said it was a wire harness short so they fixed it for $300. We barely made it out of their driveway before it did the same thing we took it in for (not uncommon for electronics so that's not the main issue here). We took it right back and they worked more and said it was the entire main wire harness. They redid the harness and charged another $1100. We almost made it back to our shop with the car before it did the SAME EXACT thing again. Mazda didn't care and was not interested at all in fixing it or giving us our money back. We were stuck because we take customer service very seriously.
It ended up being a faulty TCM. My manager ended up ordering the TCM from Mazda of Clear Lake even though we didn't want to do more business with them because we needed to get the customer taken care of. We were told it would be in on Saturday which changed to Monday then Tuesday then Wednesday and finally Thursday they still couldn't tell us where it was. We called Russell Smith Mazda up north and their parts rep said "that doesn't make sense, Clear Lake has access to our inventory and would have seen we had 2 in stock." Russell Smith had the TCM delivered to us within 2 hours and the customer was taken care of.
The final upsetting part about this was that we never canceled the TCM with Clear Lake but it somehow never showed up. We got upset with them over the $1400 charge without actually fixing the problem so they retaliated by telling us a part was on order when it wasn't!
Extremely unprofessional and outrageously immature behavior. This has got to be the worst dealer issue I've ever experienced or heard of. Needless to say, I will never do business with Clear Lake Mazda again.

This is an update on my 2013 Mazda 3. Beware when you purchase from this dealer I've had nothing but issues since I purchased my car . This is the third time that I'm taking it to the shop for a problem that I've had . The service department is not helpful at all or concerned that I've had this many issues with my car since purchasing it . My car is still under warranty and the third time I took it to the shop they are telling me that it something wrong with the starter and it will cost over $1000 which my warranty doesn't cover ! When I tried to contact Chris Danzelle, the guy who sold me the car his response was what do you want me to do about it I'm in the sales department ! The lack of concern or willing to help in the situation is why I am writing this review . This dealership is very nice when you're initially purchasing the car then once they have your business you are left out there to deal with any problems on the vehicle yourself and they don't even seem concerned to help. I plan on trading this car in and getting a new vehicle ASAP this dealership will put anything on the lot just to get a sale even if it has issues that are known to them before they sold the car . Make sure you do all your research before purchasing a car I know better for next time !!

After wrecking my Mazda, I visited many dealerships before coming to Mazda of Clearlake. I dealt with horrible customer service from other places, so needless to say my hopes weren't very high coming in. Chris Danzell changed my opinion of car salesman and turned my negative experience into a positive one. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. But most of all he wasn't over bearing like I experienced with other salesman. The entire process took about an hour and a half and I walked out with a new car. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is shopping for a new/used car and dreads the whole car buying process. Chris will put your mind at ease!!

BEWARE: If giving 0 stars was an option, that would be my rating. If you take your car to be worked on, it is in your best interest to remove all your valuables and maybe even your tires. I had taken my car to get repaired and my car was broken into. They stole my car radio, tranquilizer, and other items left in the car. One of the reasons I had taken my car to get repaired was because my car door lock switch was acting up and now it doesn t work at all because the people who stole it broke it. The company did not bother to call the police either. Without sympathy, they told me they were not liable for any theft and did nothing to attempt to better the situation. There was a sign to remove personal items which we did, however, were we supposed to take a CAR radio as well? What, were we also supposed to take our tires? Their attitude was also very nasty towards us. The area supposedly did not have any cameras but when we filed a police report the officer told us that there was, and they knew that because we are not the first customers that this unfortunately happened to. You can tell this company does not care about their customers as they have not taken the initiative to add more lighting, cameras, and security in general. Very disappointed with the way this entire situation was handled.
I came in for a test drive. The showroom was packed and I was sure it would be a long process but the sales guy let me drive a Mazda 3 and Mazda 6 in under 30 minutes. He answered all my questions regarding features.
I came here to look for a sports car and got the worst salesman ever. He offered to show me a used car that was still in the auto detail section and then declined to show me the car. He was young and had a very smart attitude. When I asked what the price of the car was that he couldn't show me he asked me why the price was so important to me. I left. Terrible salesman. I think someone needs to evaluate him. Mazda lost a cash buyer because of his lack of communication skills. Although i did like the new hardtop convertible they had there is no way I was buying from this kid.
Service was wonderful! Katelyn texted me with updates on my car. I had a long list of things that needed to be taken care of. Everything was done when I picked my car up the same day. My Mazda looked like new! Also, I was given a gorgeous, brand new loaner vehicle with every possible bell & whistle! Very pleased and highly recommended!!!!! 5 stars for sure.

Purchase of new 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata from the Mazda of Clear Lake dealership was a pleasant experience. The transaction was cordial and business like unlike some places where the salesperson disappears for a few minutes ostensibly to "consult" with the Manager for "reduced" price approval. My salesman Chris Danzel was very helpful, knowledgeable about the product and acted professionally through out. I never felt hurried into making a decision. I would heartily recommend this dealer and salesman Chris Danzel and I would like to do business again at this place.

Our recent experience with Mazda of Clear Lake was amazing! It began in the Service Dept where Mikal and Jeremiah assisted me with my vehicle. They informed me of the damages and cost to repair. Suggesting I look into the cost of a new vehicle, they allowed me a loaner vehicle while I thought about it. Their sales referral contacted me immediately. Kizito was thoughtful and kind. Never overbearing as many salespeople are, only concerned over the sales and not the person. Not Kizito!! He cares about the person, the family in need of a car. He listened to our needs and then wants. He walked us through the process and then kindly asked us to THINK about it. Kizito did not flood us with persistant calls. He allowed us to look around and find the RIGHT car for our family. After a week, we called him to revisit the car we looked at and he happily had it ready for us. Let us not forget the Service Dept just yet. Mikal allowed us to keep the loaner car until we decided to purchase the car. Not one call requesting it back! What a TEAM!!!!!! Kizito is a phenomenal salesperson who isn't looking to make a sale and walk away, no, he is looking to be a part of the extended Mazda family.
