Stayed two nights in the Grand Presidential Suite....

Stayed two nights in the Grand Presidential Suite. The view was spectacular - no question. The suite had a few cosmetic updates but it wasn t impressive. First was the old moist odour smacking your face when you walk into the room and turning on the ventilation fan to the highest doesn t help. There are many electrical issues with the suite. Old plugs and switches don t work. The ceiling fan/light doesn t work so there was no good lighting at night. I asked guest service for help and they said they d have to schedule the electrician to come in - I couldn t wait for that. The balcony was very shaky and unsafe. The lower floor washroom s placement of the toilet paper is very questionable as anyone using the toilet would have to walk a couple steps to reach the toilet paper. A moveable freestanding toilet paper stand would have made much more sense for the washroom layout. Overall I wasn t impressed especially not for $800/night. There aren t any extra amenities for this quality of a suite. I had to call room service for a bath robe which had a tear in it. I couldn t bother to ask and wait for another one. I only needed the cover up to use the swimming pool. The swimming pool was old and the whirl pool was weak. The showers and amenities were nice. The gym in the basement is well equipped. Gym and front desk area has complimentary water. The front area of the ground floor has good seating to work and the bar is very convenient. The tour help desk was very informative and was able to provide clear directions. The front desk had clerical errors. Had complimentary parking for two nights due to conference attendance but had to triple check with front desk during (1) check in (2) night before check out and (3) check out. First they said they had to check with management. Second they said parking charges removed. Third they said only one night parking was removed so they had to manually remove the second one before printing out the receipt. If I didn t check 3 times then those errors would ve never been caught and I wouldn t have bothered to phone in to revise. Probably better communication and training is required. Thanks.

I m from TAIWAN. I m going to Toronto for the Lions Annual Meeting; in this evening, I can walk to the small park. Looking at the night view of Niagara Falls. There are colorful lighting changes. Very beautiful. The room is comfortable. The view is good.

The room was a little bit pricey for how dated it was. The staff was friendly and attentive. Parking fee was steep! Overall fairly happy but will try another hotel before returning to this one.

Great

Stayed 2 nights at the Gateway this past weekend.

2 queen sized beds on a 9th floor room. First thing, fridge was not on, so needed to call Tech guy to switch it on. Once on, it was a functioning fridge. I wonder if they leave all their fridges off to save on electricity!

Beds were comfortable, as were pillows.
Shower strength was impressive. Better than my own, and I like it hard!

Views were like you see on the website. And worth the extra dough. Interesting to see the crowds over the course of the day.

Breakfast was impressive as well. Excellent and well replenished spread.

Elevators have a special system, which actually makes sense when you get used to it. Elevators are not heated. So you can't walk around in indoor clothes!

Lots of young couples and families in this hotel.
Check-in had a line, but this is understandable on a Valentine's/Family Day weekend.

Fallsview Marriott has terrible front entrance with cars backed up on the street. A concierge or directions would be a start! It looked like the drop zone of the airport but only 50 feet long! Gateway not as bad. But nobody directing traffic or offering a welcome at this point, which would be appreciated!

TV selection not anything special. Remote we received was broken, and the replacement was just as bad. Do guests use them as footballs?

PF charge on bill should be explained better. Was told it as a tourist tax!

The trip was a success thanks to the Marriott.

Beautiful view of the falls from our bi-level loft room. The hotel was at capacity at the time of check in so there were some service hiccups along the way. After reaching out to members of hotel management - my issues were resolved. The incredible view and overall stylish decor of our suite made some of the issues we dealt with bareable. Overall, a good experience and I would recommend.

This place always treats me right. Unfortunately the location tax has turned me off from returning to Niagara. Everything is taxed on the tax from meals, drinks, lodging to parking. Enough is enough. I might as well go to the USA and pay the exchange rate.

We recently stayed at the Marriott Gateway - Niagara Falls and had a very positive experience. The staff from the check-in to the dining room was more than gracious and accommodating. Our room was cleaned thoroughly each day and our products restocked when needed. Our stay included breakfast which we found to be excellent. I especially enjoyed the omelets made per request at the omelet station. The omelet maker was a joy and seemed to take pride in making really great omelets. I would highly recommend this Marriott to any of my friends. Views spectacular and convenient to Casino and restaurants via the WeGo or a pleasant stroll. Five Stars!!

Stupidest elevator system ever designed. You spend up to 10 mins waiting for your elevator. And don't just take a random one because the buttons inside don't work you must use the computer and wait.

That aside, room was beautiful once I made it there (elevator joke). Huge bed, beautiful jacuzzi, great fallsview, hd channels and internet. Milestones made a fantastic New york steak for me and the pleasant hotel staff made our stay (minus the elevator) fantastic.

Nice hotel, clean rooms. However, ONLY 3 handicap parking spaces and their elevators are NOT programmed correctly. Waited 4 minutes to go down. Finally got on an elevator going up, once folks got off pushed lobby fully expecting to stop at the floor we got on at, knowing the down button had been pushed. It did NOT stop and took us directly to the lobby. No other elevator stop at our floor between the time we got in and it past our floor without stopping. Would NOT recommend this hotel as a result of the two very negative points I mentioned above.

It's an OK hotel, but if you are considering booking it, keep in mind that you're likely going to spend over a $100.00 more than the price you see on your booking site. This is because this place will nickel and dime you like a cheap Vegas motel.

31st floor falls view room. View of the falls was excellent. Staff for reception, room service, restaurant were all very polite. Faults were expensive overnight parking $30 (tourist trap) and lack of a microwave in the room.

The rooms were amazing. The view from the falls view room was stunning. The people were really nice. We only had breakfast in the hotel but from my experience it was pretty good. There were hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, waffles, tons of options for bread, sausage. Basically a regular hotel breakfast. I highly recommend for younger people and older people alike. The young will like that there is so much to do around there. The older people will love the view, and the relaxing falls.

269.10 room rate, then another 37.75 harmonized tax, then 21.26 tourism tax, then 29.00 to park (outside on your own), then a tourism tax and hat on the parking 4.07 and 2.29 for a whopping $363.47 ..., on the 6 th floor for a standard queen room.

Get this ... The WiFi costs too .... 6.95 and the bottle of water in your room is 4.95. Want an upgrade to a higher floor ? They milk you at check in for another "50 US dollars." That's right, US dollars in Canada.

I can understand why people say you need to see the falls once in your life time, but the other reality is you never ever come back.

Nice.

Reserved a fall view room via phone when I got to check in they said it's a street view and there was no available room with street view tonight or next day neither. Very upset with that already told my 11 and 8 year old that it's a street view and they were very disappointed... So double check when booking people.

Room 1419. The view was awesome. We ordered a king Fallsview room with whirlpool. It wasnt a whirlpool but a tub large enough for 2 which was enough for us. The view of the falls was breathtaking. The view is from right behind the horseshoe falls, but that's probably actually the best place as the mist would block a front view. We also had a great view of the Sunday evening fireworks. Room service was wonderful. The portion sizes were way better than I had imagined and the food was delicious.

These places should follow the policy that first impression should be the best as they are into service industry.
I checked into the room to find the room didn't have the lights working, was disappointed.

View from room 1601 fallsview room... Amazing experience overall...clean room, curteous staff, smooth checkin and out process...No hassle... You get amazing views from corridor and room both...It was spotlessly clean. We went for fireworks...but this is not very suitable for firework view..we got just a partial view from our room...it was hindered by Marriott falls view & Spa building...So if you are staying for fireworks that hotel is appointed in a better place.

In order to plan for our 10th wedding anniversary ...

In order to plan for our 10th wedding anniversary road trip, I went through all the reviews of the hotels around
Niagra falls. In the end I chose Niagra falls Marriott on the falls due to it s great location of the beautiful waterfall view. The hotel was quite full on the day we checked in. But as a platinum member of Marriott, I found that the staff really tried their best to help out with the upgrade of our room. Thanks to Hanna and the manager who was on duty on July 2nd. We even received a card and wine to celebrate or wedding anniversary. My husband and I were very touched by the great hospitality from Marriott. The water fall view was really amazing from our room. We can say that it was the most unforgettable nights for our road trip!
Thanks to Niagra Falls Marriott on the falls, for giving us such a wonderful experience!

Room nice. Staff pleasant but don't tell u about hidden fees. 29 self parking or 36 valet. Parking. Then if u book four people and you think, breakfast included for all 4 you'll be wrong only 2 people covered. The other 2 people cost 60$ dollars more a rip
Off u can go down the street and get buffers for 6.99 and 12.99 and I bet the food is better.

This is a very nice hotel. Pricey and you have to pay for pretty much everything. Parking, internet, breakfast, room amenity fee? For 2 bottles of water and to have room service. The view e had was spectacular and probably the best way to enjoy the falls from the comfort of your room. We stopped at the front desk to get additional cream for our coffee, and was quickly brushed off with I'll. Send someone up. Someone needs ercame and we had to call again in the morning. The woman that checked us in was nice but really had no personality, not sure if she was new, but my wife and I both agreed that we got the same vibe from her. Breakfast 20 bucks per person, not worth it for us. Last time we stayed here I was Marriot Gold member and got a bunch of perks, this time was treated like everyone else as my status slipped to platnum and did nothing for us. Room was quite comfortable and clean. Be prepared to spend on many extras, but have a spectacular view.

2nd time in this well run Marriot with the most wonderful views of Niagra Falls.
Make sure you book a room with the falls view.
I could never get tired of looking out the window in one of two falls viewing seats, situated at the window.
Breathtaking and a very special place.
Worth every dollar spent.
The handicapped accessible bathroom is very well done and appreciated.

Disappointing. I don t usually bring up complaints about Marriott since our stay this far has been great except my last visit. Following reason
- blood splatter on the pillows
- bundled up hair on the mattress
- ticket stubs on the floor from the previous visitor
- room was clearly not cleaned especially during these times.
- food orders to room was very cold

We were travelling with a new born which made this stay very unsafe. Request all future visitors to check your room prior to staying in. Make sure you have Lysol wipes to clean down your room or ask front desk to get room service to clean it up. Stay safe everyone!

The hotel has a very good location with a wonderful view of the falls.
However, in this context of COVID, the hotel is using all means to offer a quality of service below its level and not the prices; so I experienced poor service with a room without microwave and coffee maker.
This is not a motel but a Marriott Niagara on the Falls hotel.
A family trip with young children had a completely different outcome with this observation.
Despite the fact that I accepted this bad news of a room without facilities, I decided to go and ask reception after 11pm if I could use their microwave to heat up something to drink. The receptionist's answer without logical reasoning was a categorical NO because according to her in the context of COVID no equipment is available in the hotel even for employees.
Ilogical and not reflected his answer. If COVID requires the consumption of more hot drinks than cold drinks, then MARRIOTT makes us understand the opposite. In addition based on his answer, it is to believe that the hotel treats its employees totally inconceivably by depriving them of useful equipment during working hours. How do they heat their food and drink during working hours ??? So what is wrong with YOUR DECISION ???
Coming back to my subject, in the context of COVID, however, the hotel does not have a policy for the use of the pool. So, we were invaded while being in the pool by a group of young people (over 15 years old) who also brought back a ball and used all the cleaning and rescue equipment in the pool room without any hotel agent does not come to restore order; they put everything in the pool water, it was just deplorable. There were 13 of us in all in this small pool, including my family. I decided to get out of the pool immediately with my family.
As if for the hotel, COVID is just outside the pool room.
And finally, as this was not enough, during the night I was woken up around midnight by noise from the other occupants and I had to call this same receptionist at the bad service to ask her to ask the other occupants of the rooms shut down the noise at night as people are sleeping.
Very bad customer service and very bad hotel decision.

I went here for a conference and I must say the food was absolutely amazing. They used local ingredients and wine from local wineries. If you plan on going outside during winter, make sure to wear proper footwear as it is very icy and slippery due to the proximity to the falls.

This was my first time staying at this hotel, my day had gone to complete hell in a hand basket and by the time I made it to the hotel it took just one thing to go wrong(not the hotels fault!) for me to give up. The staff however refused to give up and the manager(Nate or Nathan sorry I don't recall exactly which) jumped in and took the problem off my shoulders. I was able to get to my very nice, clean, spacious room with a great view of the falls and enjoy my night. I highly recommend this place for the staffs great attitude and accommodations.

Should not be called the Marriott!

Should not be called the Marriott!
It's more of a 2 or 3 star hotel!
2 lamps in the whole room! No safety deposit box in the room! I heard it was recently renovated but I didn't feel it!
It's way over priced for what u get! Thank God I'm here only for 1 night!

Didn't stay at the hotel, went to the Milestones but they were closed early so couldn't stay. Things were chaotic in the lobby due to the big snow storm and a server had stormed out as we were sitting in the lobby. Overall interesting vibe, not sure if I'd stay in this location.

Super spacious rooms, modern concept rooms, very good services (in room and others), clean and tidy, Friendly staff, Awesome unlimited buffet breakfast and most important of all... You cannot get a view of the falls better than this place. (Higher floors)

Clean, comfortable bed, great pillows, large TV, great choices, helpful concierge.
To improve: Breakfast buffet. Parking charges. I should have been advised that in the street there was a parking lot free of charge. I payed $30 per night+$5 for valet.

The hotel was beautiful. I was in a 2 bedroom suite with a fallsview so I had a beautiful view of the falls during the day and at night. One of the bathrooms was clogged though when I arrived but the staff immediately handled it.

When visiting Niagara Falls, make sure you request to have the tourist tax removed from your hotel bill. They try to charge you the tax on everything. It's not mandatory, and they have to remove it from your bill. On everything, restaurant, hotel, shopping, attractions, everything. They won't tell you, you have to request that it be removed from your bill.

We loved our room with the view of the falls. It was clean and comfortable. The complimentary WeGo bus passes were a great touch, and turned out to be super useful. The front desk staff were super professional and nice.
The only negative moment of the stay was the breakfast. For the that price you can get omelettes and crispy waffles with maple syrup at brunch cafes but not in this place, powder scrambled eggs and regular syrup were disappointing. We were also treated rudely by the waitress when we were on the way out. She asked in a very direct way why we did not leave a tip; just to be clear, she approached us twice during the whole time: once to show us the table and to bring us the check --- no service whatsoever.
Bottom line: great hotel if you avoid the breakfast

Lovely size rooms. Staff was friendly, but had a line to speak to the front desk. Got home and found extra charges on my c/c with no explanation. $35 to park at the hotel, even though we were paying to stay overnight. Needed a luggage cart for our bags searched around for some time, sent here and there and was told "oh well I guess there aren't any"

The room was poorly cleaned. The carpet was full of hair and dirt. The chairs looked grease. I was really uncomfortable to sit on them. I can not believe the hotel is not even taking extra steps to guarantee the safe stay during COVID. First hotel in my life where there was not coffee or tea evailable in the room. And I was supposed to be in one of the most expensive rooms. Can not imagine the others.

Valet not helpful at all. I had to carry my own bags and was ignored when I returned my vehicle to be checked in. I had a room with a loft which was not cleaned well. It appears that high dusting/ cleaning is not done at all. Staff were very helpful and pleasant and the breakfast buffet was very good. The afternoon cocktail hour was enjoyable as well. I ve stayed at many places in the past and unfortunately you should consider lowering your rating. The views of the falls is beautiful but that shouldn t be the only reason for rating your facility as 4 stars. I would not recommend my friends to stay here and I wouldn t return either.

Loved my stay here. Great hotel, awesome location, and gorgeous views of the falls. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The accommodations were wonderful, and rooms very clean. Theres a Milestones and Starbucks in the hotel. We visited the other Marriott just next door and had dinner at the Morton's Grille in that location.Would stay here again, and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Niagara Falls.

Great hotel. We made reservations about 7 or 8 months before. When we arrived we received a room on the top floor. The view on the falls was just marvellous. On my birthday, they thoughtfully delighted me with a complimentary dessert in my room. They offer convenient parking for cad 30 a day.
