I do not usually do reviews but Marks Electrical is exceptional. Ordered item at 9:40 on 23/12 received emails telling me what would happen and slightly earlier than expected got email with time slot. 30 minutes before delivery received phone call and item delivered. This was next day (24/12) and they arrived 90 minutes before estimated delivery time. Well pleased. Delivery men were polite, efficient and pleasant. Well done to all at Marks Electrical, will definitely use them again.
Advertise Prices - Then Don't Honour them - NO Customer Service.
They will advertise prices, accept an order and then 10 days later refund you saying they are unable to deliver that item. When you look, they have increased the price of the item but are still selling it.
There are a lot better e-retailers to use, avoid this one.
Great product, great price and excellent delivery guys. So why one star? Purely down to the customer service department. Worst customer services I have EVER experienced. Never call you back and dont seem to have a clue what goes on in their own department SHOCKING! Their reason a manager cant call you back, or take your call is because apparently "the role of a manager is a very busy one" completely patronising. A good manager would ensure issues are resolved ASAP, and never let a customer wait 4 days for a resolution, which was 100% their companys fault, due to someone either dropping my american fridge freezer or selling it to someone else.
Found the site very user friendly, the prices competitive and the communication and delivery well organised and prompt. Altogether satisfactory in both customer service and goods. Well done and thank you for making life easier!
Best experience from start to finish. Website easy to navigate and customer service (Daniel) was very helpful answering numerous questions. Weekend delivery with no extra charge with 2 hr slots confirmed the night before. If that's not enough, half an hour before arrival, driver will call to confirm time of arrival. He was very helpful too. This will be my first port of call for my next electrical buy. Many thanks.
Great service at a good price! Purchased a Samsung freezer and the delivery guys Ian and Steve were a real help taking the product through the house exactly in the stop where I wanted it. Will defo recommend!!

Not impressed. Placed an order on 17/09/2018 was told it was out of stock but they were expecting it to arrive on 24/09/18. I got another email on 26/09/18 stating that it would arrive on 08/10/2018. I have just got another email stating it should arrive on 28/11/18.
Why sell what you don't have? A promise is a comfort to a fool. There seems to be no time frame. How do you explain to your bank that I was waiting in vain?
I ordered a freezer a few weeks ago. I didn t open the box because the house was still getting done. I checked the freezer and found a large damage to the door. I immediately reported it to the company. They took a long while to return a call. Once they did, the employee, Charlene, was disrespectful and was not helpful at all. Most companies would offer a 30 day refund. Didn t ask any questions and made it clear the company would rather give a replacement door than a new freezer. I d recommend always checking their products fully. I d also recommend not calling customer service as that was the worst experience I ve ever had. The company doesn t help with any information or documents with extended service. They expect you to handle the process. A business model with cheap prices and not much care for their customers.
Friendly and knowledge staff with a high level of customer service. Delivery was done when required by a very courteous driver,and the price was lower than elsewhere. Would strongly recommend them, and will be using them again myself in the near future.
Ordered a new washing machine on Thursday evening. It was delivered Sunday morning. The two hour time slot i received the evening before was extremely useful. Can't fault the ordering or delivery process.
Item I was looking for was listed at a good price - even before discount of 10%. Delivery was at the time specified - with email advice of time and a phone call 25 minutes before delivery. Only issue could have been the hefty charge if you were not there to accept the item
Brought a tumble drier online, was a bit unsure as it was a lot cheaper than anywhere else. Delivery was free, was advised of timeslot on the night before, had a text when he was 20 mins away and was on time. Glen the delivery guy was very pleasant and polite. Had no problems taking it up the 3 steps through the back door. Machine works fine, and all in all had a pleasant and professional service. Thanks guys, u saved my bacon and will defo be coming back and will recommend to all my family and friends x
Shockingly poor customer service. After 8 phone calls, an email and an engineer's visit to look at my faulty fridge I am STILL waiting for a phone call I was promised I would receive before the end of the day. I had the same promise the previous 4 times I rang, hopeless at communicating with customers. I have been more than gracious in giving Marks Electrical opportunity to resolve this issue, but frankly I've had enough of being nice. The product is not fit for purpose, they were unable to fulfill my original order and now I'm stuck with an alternative fridge that thinks it's a freezer!!! Definitely do not recommend - Marks Electrical were happy to take my money but clearly have little understanding of their responsibilities under distance selling regulations.
I would have been happy to give Marks a positive review this time last month. Unfortunately our new Hisense fridge freezer, only 4 months old, has failed and, since this happened, we ve had no end of problems with Marks in trying to resolve the problem.
Since it failed Hisense has sent out two engineers who both confirmed that they aren t qualified to perform the required repairs on the appliance. On the first visit they also advised that, because of the possibility of an electrical short, we have to keep the appliance switched off.
As a result of this, in addition to the wasted food due to the initial breakdown, we have had no way to store any fresh or frozen food since the failure occurred a month ago. We have an 18-month-old child and we also have no way to store milk once opened, resulting in substantial waste and further cost, not to mention the time and stress involved in trying to solve the problems.
I ve been in contact with Marks to explain all of the above a number of times to try and arrange a refund under the Consumer Rights Act (which states that, if a product is under 6 months old and if at least one failed attempt has been made to repair or replace the product, the retailer is legally obliged to provide a refund).
I ve spoken to Marks by phone on four separate occasions, speaking to both Heidi and Sarah in their customer service department. In every case they ve been sympathetic to our problems but unable to assist. They simply state they can t do anything unless Hisense issues an uplift code to authorise the return. Every time I m told that I will hear from them within 48 hours (I never do). This is in spite of explaining on every occasion that we re making a request under the Consumer Rights Act and not under warranty. I ve also written an official email to Marks, laying this all out, and allowing them a full 14 days to respond... 14 days have come and gone and we ve had no response of any kind.
At this point I can only assume that Marks are stone-walling and are either unwilling to acknowledge that we have any statutory rights (in spite of these being mentioned in their terms and conditions) to avoid having to compensate us, or they simply don t understand their legal obligations. Every person we ve mentioned these problems to has been amazed at the difficulty we re having and have agreed that this should be an open-and-shut case given the age of the fridge.
As I say, it s a real shame that we ve seen these problems since the appliance failed. Our experience with Marks up to that point had been positive, with an efficient and friendly delivery, but our recent experience has made it impossible to recommend Marks to anyone.
The ordering was understanding, clear and helpful in our rather complicated delivery requirement. Your paperwork was easy to follow, timely and the courier/delivery on time and completed without problem. In all a model performance - well done.
Shocking service , ordered a dryer off the website last week, next day get a phone call, sorry issues with website it should have showed out of stock, offer a refund have to wait 3-5 days, yesterday , re order a different one, email today sorry put of stock got to wait will November 7th at the earliest, I don't think so , give me my money ry back and I will spend it where it's wanted , terrible website and service couldn't even be bothered to call me the 2nd time
Zero stars. Absolutely dreadful company. Appliance became faulty within first year. Customer service did not assist and wanted us to deal with manufacturer despite knowing they attempted more than once to repair it and we were entitled to refund. Manager Charlotte is extremely rude and arrogant; anything but what one could reasonably expect from a manager. Would strongly recommend you avoid this retailer.
Excellent customer service. I ordered a new cooker on the Saturday, they confirmed delivery will be on Sunday between 0800-1000, and it was delivered on the Sunday at 0800 even with the snow overnight, I know it sounds ridiculous but it's true, will certainly be using again.

Ordered a fridge/freezer when mine stopped working during lockdown. I was expecting a delay on delivery but it was delivered in a couple of days. Excellent communication and first class service as always, this is my third purchase as I have bought a washing machine and a tumble dryer previously. I have no hesitation in recommending Mark's Electrical. James and Phillip the delivery drivers were cheerful, helpful and a pleasure to deal with.
Purchased Miele dishwasher from Marks Electrical which failed after 3 weeks of use. Uplift and replacement eventually agreed. Delivery driver was rude and unhelpful in every way. The so called "Customer Service" no better My first and last Miele purchase (overpriced and unreliable) and my first and last purchase from Marks Electrical. A little civility and helpfulness costs nothing.

Beware of their prices as the item I got from them went down by 30% in a few weeks, shame AO didn't have it as they'd happily refund the difference. I've ended up leaving it as I can't be bothered with their customer service.

Ordered for collection sunday at 10. Got there early at 9, welcomed me and i was back on road at 9.10. Friendly man in warehouse loaded goods into car, very pleasant girl in office sorted all paperwork. Seems a well run, efficient place with excellent customer service

Purchased from Marks Electrical before when they were on Kings Richards road, now at Boston Road in a bigger site and more range of products to look through. Service has always been top notch and open on Sunday. Even delivery was well timed and informed. Keep up the good work.
Really impressed with this organisation. Great price on washing machine. Price matched on dishwasher. Really polite and professional staff who spoke and understood English. Did everything that they said that they would. Would definitely use them again.
Ordered a rangecooker with them at the end of August which was listed as delivery within 14 days and still have not received it. Called up and they blamed me for not checking with them by telephone prior to ordering. If you require people to telephone and check, you should be up front about it and not have an online purchasing service.
Will absolutely not recommended anyone buying from them and will never deal with them again.
Great help in showroom, very knowledgeable and guided us to the right purchase but definitely not pushy Delivery on time and kept fully up to date at all times. Delivery men quickly set up and checked operation of machine. Very difficult to suggest any way that the whole experience could have been improved
These guys deserve a lot of kudos. Painless purchase of a fridge and hob which came with an added discount that I didn't know about until checkout. They were by far the cheapest on the market. But to cap it off the delivery slots were easy to choose and we were kept up-to-date with their arrival. Great service guys!

Do not buy anything from here ever. Something that has been faulty within few months Mark Electrical will wipe there hands and will not get involved to help you resolve it. They don t like to be helpful at all, and some of there customer service advisors are just plainly rude. NEVER AGAIN FROM HERE.

Having compared their products and services with other bigger retailers in the area, as well as online companies. we decided to order our Hob & oven from Marks Electrical as they offered the best value & could deliver far earlier than any of the competition. Even though we placed the order very late on a Saturday evening, It was processed very quickly. The communications we received regarding our order and it's subsequent delivery were spot on. The Hob & oven were delivered exactly as we were informed....almost with military precision. Highly recommended....Well done.
Absolutely appalling service from marks electricals. The customer service staff are very rude, argumentative and they are not helpfully at all. I ordered a brand new cooker from them which is damaged. It has a big dent in the back of it and the lid is broken. Not only have they accused me of doing this they have also accused a private very qualified cooker fitter of doing the damage also. This dent which must of caused the lid to brake was obviously done during time in the warehouse or during transit which I did tell the lady on the phone this is obviously nobody's fault but she continued to accuse us of doing the damage instead of just apologising and trying to rectify the problem... If you are thinking of buying a BRAND NEW COOKER the please don't waste your money or time buying from this very rude company. It's better to pay a little extra than be treated like a criminal. This shouldn't even be this complicated or upsetting.

Marks Electrical really helped me out. I am having a kitchen fitted and was let down by my original microwave supplier. I contacted Marks Electrical at 4pm, spoke to a very helpful man and took delivery of the microwave at 12.30 the following day, in time for our fitter to complete the kitchen. The delivery driver was from Marks Electrical (not a courier) and I cannot fault him. He was cheerful despite the fact that out house is difficult to find. I would definitely use this company again!
Absolutely disgusting company ...fob you off for weeks changing delivery dates waited a month after payment for delivery then after 2 weeks of trying to get the product to work properly and around 50.00 of food having to binned.Reported the fault and they didn't want to know ....a 2 week old product and was told to contacted the manufacture. WHAT HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WITHIN 28 DAYS... AVOID AVOID AVOID ....
Ordered at 11am, arrived same day! Good price compared to other sites. Delivery guys great, rang half hour before arriving and carried washing machine to where we wanted it. Would highly recommend Mark's electrical. Not actually tried the washer yet though!. . . But packaged well.

Really pleased with the service we received when ordering our new dishwasher. The communication was excellent and no problems with the delivery service, particularly liked that we were given the names of the delivery drivers and kept up to date with the process at every step. Great service. Delivery team was Craig and Nick, they arrived a little early but that was fine. They called and let us know and said they would be 30 mins. Exactly half an hour later they arrived, followed the delivery instructions we supplied and brought the fridge freezer into the house. They even offered to let us use their sack barrow to bring it to the kitchen but we live in a townhouse and the kitchen is on the first floor so said we would take it up the stairs ourselves. They were friendly and polite and took our old fridge freezer away with no problems. Couldn't fault the service at all and wouldn't hesitate to use again.
Recently bought our Rangemaster Professional from Marks , they have competitive price! Most of all their delivery staff are very professional, happy to do their job! Highly recommend!

We thought we would purchase from Marks Electrical as they were a bit cheaper then Currys. We ordered our washing machine online and was advised that it was out of stock but would be available in approximately 5-6 days, ok fair enough then we got a phone cell stating it wouldn't be available until the first week in march, so my wife explained that we couldn't wait that long as our current washing machine had stopped working so the girl on the phone upgraded the it at no extra cost. Brilliant can't fault that thank you. Now we get to the delivery process. We were told we would get a time slot the night before...nothing was emailed or text, so my wife rang the next morning and she was told you only get notified the night before if you have a morning delivery, ok fair enough, so was told it would be delivered in the afternoon but still had no time slot, so my wife rang AGAIN and was told our slot would be between 3-5 but driver will contact you 30 minutes before delivery. As me and my wife both work full time and have our child in nursery I had to ask them to keep him a little longer as we had a delivery coming (which will cost us because it's a nursery) it got to 4.45pm and still no call from a driver so I rang the customer service number, the girl was rude and didn't even let me finish what I was saying. I was now told delivery was expected between 4-6pm so buy now I was starting to get a bit angry as I was going to be late picking up my son and never even got a apology. I said to the girl are you sure it will be coming at this time, her words were "yea I'm sure" and then practically put the phone down on me. I had to take the chance and pick my son up from nursery as they close at 6pm luckily I got there just in time and when I returned home they delivered it 10 minutes later but never had a phone call to give me notice.
I think the girl I spoke to was flo, definitely requires some customer service skills!!!
RESPONDING TO OWNER:- Yes correct you had my wife's contact number which your driver never rang!! We had to keep ringing as we had no communication from yourself, and by your response you obviously condemn poor customer service from your staff!!!.
Good experience. Ordered an AEG washer over the phone (wanted to be sure I could have it delivered the very next day as a previous shop had let me down twice leaving me without a washer for two weeks and I'd finally cancelled). Good easy ordering process. Spoke to Andy Swann who arranged it all. Item was delivered bang on time (Craig D and Simon S). Item was taken to our utility room and old washer picked up from outside where we left it. OveralI I was very happy with the service and price. No problems at all. Thanks.

Forget amazon, argos etc. These are your guys! Bought a TV on amazon, came in a beaten box, the screen cracked...long story returning it, still waiting for a refund. But i'm glad i had the trouble with them, because now i discovered Marks Electrical. I can't describe how surprised and pleased I am with their service. Besides getting the best price on market on the TV that I wanted, they delivered it free of charge! on a date I had to choose, Saturday by the way. At 8 am I had my TV delivered in perfect condition by a super nice driver. Easily installed and enjoying the TV from that moment on. Very pleased with the oven however the salesman failed to inform us that the installation charge did not include fitting the cooker hood. When we phoned and spoke to Amy Johnson the Customer Services Manager she was worse than useless. She did not seem to be able to grasp the concept that if we were not informed that the fitting of the hood was not something they do then we were not likely to know this was the case.(why someone who supplies these goods but does not fit them is another matter). I asked to speak to Mark Smithson who is the owner but was told by Amy he was too important and would not speak to a customer ( very impressive). I asked Amy to get the manager Steve Nelson the Manager or the sales person to phone me back. Three days later I am still waiting. I am sure the salesperson did not intend to mislead us but mislead us he did. You really find out how good the service is these circumstances. Marks Electrical have been found sadly lacking in this case.
I was really impressed with the service & the chest freezer is super. Since we had bought it the price had dropped again so I asked if we would be able to get anymore discount & within minutes of me sending my request I received a call honoring my request I was so impressed & highly recommend using Marks Electrical. The delivery chap Stephen Hubbard was very friendly felt sorry for him though working in this heat. Kind regards Helen
