My children's first time away from home over night...

My children's first time away from home over night. I was very nervous and felt one of them would want mommy. Both of them settled in like it was their own home. I had no trouble at all communicating with the camp and when I did call (A few TIMES) I had no problem getting through to speak to a person and my every question and concern was always dealt with (kudos Amanda). After a couple of days I got a letter home from each child, both were having an awesome time. two weeks went by so quickly for the children. They loved the camp and cannot wait to go back.

I grew up at camp b/c my parents worked during the summer. I know a lot of Jewish camps, gave been to and seen several. Hands down, EVC takes all the best elements of Jewish camping and tops whatever else anyone else is doing. Superlatives fail to capture the truely magical experience. Kinda puts faith back in humanity. A utopian model of collective, ecopositive, spiritual growth seamlessly pulled off without preaching. Walking the walk & talking the talk.....no one does it better and kids never had it this mind-blowingly amazing before EVC can into being.

The best place on earth! Everyone is kind to one another and the counselors are AWESOME! This will be my third year, and I'm planning to go until I die! I have gone for a 4 week, 5 week and I'm going for the 5 week again! That's all my parents would let me go for. I would go for 8 weeks if I was allowed. Thank you Yoni and Viv for creating this amazing camp!!!

Beware: Separate households, was not informed of no call policy. First visit of my son to summer camp, Called on Emergency line, bumped up to manager, Agreement put forth was Let me talk to my son to make sure O.K., if he needs to call hand him a phone during the week and I will not attempt to call again. Was not allowed to speak to my son. After 5 min. conversation, when the manager said she would Coach me conversation rapidly ended uncomfortably. Website does not have contact policies listed nor accurate information of requirements for offered week course. My son had a good time, but also separately and independently asked the same, he was refused. Often how one does things is equally as important as what you do. It was a week of wondering what my son was doing and if my son was OK. Not nice.

I love this camp so much, I have met so many good friends and I have done so many fun activities here. All of the staff are very welcoming and loving. The only thing is that the food is repetitive every week and if you go for multiple years, you will see that they do the some of the same activities. This is not a request to change it, I m just telling possible future campers that this happens. This does not make the camp boring in anyway, the staff still comes up with very very fun ways for you to have a good time with everyone and to bond with people. I will forever love this camp and all it s staff thanks you soo much

Jewish ethical environmentalist camp of kindness! ...

Jewish ethical environmentalist camp of kindness! What a mindful that phrase is, but it summarizes what my children got out of attending Eden Village Camp. They got plenty of environmental awareness, rooted in Jewish ethical principles, and emerged as kinder people.
Plus, they did all the traditional summer camp stuff (pool, lake, gaga, campfires, sport etc.) I especially recommend this camp for boys who would prefer a less macho, sports-obsessed camp experience. Also, for any child who is seriously into playing music, or caring for animals.

This is the summer camp that made my daughter hate summer camps. She had a miserable time, sent regular letters home saying she wanted to go home, but when we called they said she was ok. We've since met other kids who have gone and had similar horrible experiences.

You'll never be the same after coming to Eden Village! This place is such a safe space for kids to grow and learn about how to take care of our beautiful planet. There is always so much love and learning happening. Love this place!
