I use to speak highly of Malt. As a renter, it was one of the few places you could guarantee all that a renter deserves and more. I came to trust there quality assured services. So when moving back from out of state this company was chosen without hesitation based on a reputation they have now lost. Never, in my rental history have i come across so many issues that seem to go unresolved and are simply unacceptable...yet I am expected to make payments on time.
I strongly discourage doing business with any company who would put money before the BASIC needs of there renters/client.

i have rent from Malty realty for 2 years now and i want every one to know that im a family man with kids , me and my wife we work very hard and allways paid my rent on time to malty realty . malty realty have treaty us with discrimination and no care at all for us beeing there clients . a week before thanks given 2015 our apartment was flood and they find call us and left us with our apartment for over 3 months with damage , roles in the ceilling , bad smell , mould , carpet with water damage and more .
and now at the end of my lease the owner don't want to renew our lease and we understand , but Suzan from their office call me and promises that they had a house ready after some repair and i went to see the house , and all was ok i just waiting for than to call me to the inside of the house and guste what they did ? i got a email from one of their agent saying that i don't have a house , and i have to move out now ,when i trust their word and services. now i have to move and i don't haven't time to look for something that my family dissevers and we can afford . they have bad serve no care for the client , i feel discriminate with no hope for my kids . the it comes to charge they are up to the minute with their charges . i don't recommend than , don't rent from them , whacht out for them . every on i talk to in the building have something to say about tham .
To everyone that is looking to rent a house please avoid this company. Save yourself time, money and a headache. Realtors are supposed to make your life easier and help you through the process. Apparently not for this company or Rosa one of the realtors. Everything went smoothly and everyone was super nice until we payed the application fee that in my case was $375 dollars, after that every time I called to check on the process Rosa was always busy or in a meeting. I think that this company and employees have a very unprofessional and irresponsible way of treating customers. Please avoid it and goof luck.

I found a place online that would work out perfectly for myself and my son. I contacted Malt Realty & was set up to meet with Rosa Martinez at the unit as per my request the following evening. Upon contact, Ms. Martinez was extremely patient and attentive to my needs, as I'd explained that I was in need of a quick turnaround process. Not only was Ms. Martinez expeditious in determining that I could be in the unit ASAP, she contacted me back within 2 days (where I'd originally expected an additional week or so) to notify me of the fact that I was approved. Although I understand that the rental process is likely to take time, I must admit that for my personal situation, the quick response to my needs was very reassuring and quite frankly, a God-send. I am truly appreciative to Ms. Martinez and the service via Malt Realty at this particular juncture in my life. This experience has been one that has been very rewarding for myself as a working adult with personal needs but most importantly, as a mother. After wasting months on realty offices that didnt listen to what I want and were rude and made a point to yank me around, Rosa and this team at malt reality were great!!! They didnt show me 50 places out of my price or non pet friendly. My emails were all answered fast and the same day and there was great communication. Malt realty is the best, I am now sighing a big sigh of relief we have a home!!!

I would like to take a moment to commend Gina Rowland and her crew at Malt Realty for their quick responsiveness and professionalism. As a former renter, anytime there was an issue, minor to major, work orders were answered and responded to in a timely fashion as were my emails and/or concerns. Staff is courteous and professional when calling and I never had to hold for a long time when calling the office. I don't often write reviews but here is one instance I feel it is justified. About four years ago I had to park some funds somewhere and I chose Ft Myers Florida. I met with Kelly from Malt and we developed a plan for the purchase and leasing of several properties.
I have never had to worry about owning property far from home with the team at Malt watching out for me. They have taken care of everything from the purchase, complete rehabilitation of the properties, advertising, leasing one on a weekly/monthly basis and the others with annual leases. The experience has contained reasonable expenses, pleasing profits and effortless investment. Everyone there has been a pleasure to work with from sales, leasing, and maintenance.
If anyone has ever thought, "What do I do with this money, I don't want it in the stock market or in a bank doing nothing"...then give Malt Realty a call. Greedy company! They will raise your rent the first chance they get even if nothing has been done to the property and not let the person who owns the property know, meaning they keep the rent increase,not the home owner. I'm lucky enough to be in contact with the owner of the property and when he found out he put an end to the rent increase and switched realtor companys .great companyfor the person who needs to rent out their property and doesn't care about the renter. As a renter it takes forever for things done and they will do it the cheapest way possible which only leads to it needing to be done again. So glad my landlord was kind enough to get rid of this scammie company. Oh and don't forget the invasion of your home every 6 months by malt

I own 3 rental properties in Ft Myers that are managed by Malt Realty. Lately, I had several maintenance issues with the properties. Joyce Zelwinder, the Maintenance Coordinator, has been very helpful in addressing the problems. She has been very responsive, trying to get the issues solved quickly so that the tenant needs are addressed asap, while, at the same time, considering the landlord needs of finding contractors that provide good quality of work at a decent price. This is very important for a landlord especially when your properties are located far away from your place of living.
Having somebody who you could trust when dealing with contractors it is priceless. So far, Joyce, has proved on several occasions to be that type of person.

Dan from Diamond Appliance Repair was at my leased condo this time yesterday morning to take care of a leak in the back of my refrigerator that a prior appliance company was unable to fix. I have only the highest praise for Dan. He was here when Diamond had promised he'd be here.
A personable man, he was confident in his ability to fix the problem. He zeroed in on the problem immediately and went to his truck to get a newer and appropriately larger what he called a "ferrule" to install. He showed me the old, smaller ferrule and explained what had gone wrong - it was inherent in the unit - the smaller ferrule - because of the unit's year of manufacture - and he spoke with complete assurance the leak would not recur. But he told me to call him if the leak recurred within 90 days.
Then he adjusted the refrigerator's legs and returned the unit to being on its wheels, so I could roll the unit out into the kitchen to open the door wide enough to remove the lower food bin and clean the discoloration in the back of the fridge, that had built up because of the leak. I give Dan and Diamond Appliance five stars. (Just to be cautious, after Dan left yesterday, I placed a bowl in the back of the fridge just in case the leak recurred. As I type this review 24 hours later, the bowl is still bone dry.) Five stars for Dan and Diamond Appliance Repair of Bonita Springs.

I can't describe how wonderful the process of working with Malt Realty (specifically, Connor Malt) has been! I walked in on a Friday afternoon after coming across a listing on their site that seemed to meet all of my requirements for my new home within my price range. I quickly discovered that it was so much more than I could have hoped for, and by the following Monday was signing the paperwork (kudos to Connor and the team for working over the weekend to facilitate my short stay in the area).
Connor was incredibly friendly and helpful from the start, empathizing with my situation and quickly helping to alleviate what had been a growing source of anxiety and stress (the number of scammers I've dealt with over the months of trying to relocate is frustrating and saddening). The relief and peace-of-mind I feel from working with a reputable property management company is immeasurable...
The application process was simple (15 minutes having the right information on hand), and upon being informed of my approval, the rest of the process has been just as easy.

New Florida from out of state and was in a time crunch to find a place. Renee, Jessica and everyone at Malt Realty were amazing to work with. They helped me understand the HOA approval process & worked hard to get me in before my moving van got to Florida. True team effort with Malt Realty.
Last week I reported a leak in my kitchen. Two days later Malt sends out their "handy man" (Who I doubt is licensed or insured.) to look at the leak. He determined the leak was coming from inside the wall behind my refrigerator. He then cut a hole in the wall exposing black mold which is known to be toxic. Malt didn't even mention the mold to me. The same day the mold was exposed a suffered from a headache and fatigue. My kitchen smelt like a fish tank. I was advised to stop sleeping in house by a local mold re-mediator. It has now been 5 days since the wall was opened. While a dehumidifier and air scrubber was placed in my kitchen, same day by a licensed re-mediator. Malt just put up a containment wall in my kitchen yesterday. Mold spores can spread easily through the air and can grow in exposed furniture. Malt thinks it is ok for me to stay in my apartment without first testing the air for spores. While their office employees may greet you with a smile. Show you any property you would like to look at. They drop the ball when it comes to your safety. Two more holes have been cut in my wall. One upstairs, the other downstairs. Mold can be found in both of them. Neither have been contained. Make sure a proper inspection is done before signing your lease. These guys don't even preform the 6 month inspection they claim to in their homeowners handbook. Nor did they do an inspection when I RESIGNED my lease. Landlords and renters beware!
Loved the condo we stayed at and the resort feel we experienced All the employees at the resort were helpful and friendly. Malt Realty however kept an additional $190 from my security deposit in addition to their cleaning fee. It was supposedly for garbage disposal as I cleaned out the refrigerator and checked out on a day the was not garbage day. They really need to monitor their cleaning staff to make sure they are being truthful. I emailed our rental agent and also her manager and they have not returned the $190 they took out. Very disappointing and very unfair. They collect garbage two days per week and we took the garbage each of those days throughout the month. Cleaning staff said it looked like we had not taken the garbage out the whole month. We are a retired couple and would never dream of missing a garbage day. Additionally, I emailed the rental agent to inform her we left the garbage in the garage so the animals would not get it (next door condo consistently put garbage out the night before and it was all over the next morning because of animals) My advice, take a video of how you left the condo when checking out if you do it at a time where a rental isn't doing a walk through with you to keep them honest.
