I spent almost a thousand dollars on a pair of glasses that lie in a drawer. Something is wrong with the lens prescription. I was told I would need to pay more $ to get them corrected. I have written off the experience and I recommend you steer clear of this company.

The elephant in the room (waiting room) is the cloying air from a deodorizer/scent machine, which smells vaguely like a trash-bag deodorizer. Nauseating. And why? EyeC has this fog machine turned up past the levels of old hotels trying to mask mold!
Once you get past the lobby stink gauntlet, the exam rooms are not bad. But my spouse had to flee after 1 minute on entry.
We emailed last month to complain and request that they turn off the thick scent a day beforehand! No response. We called to follow up, but the doctor does not allow direct communication.
Can t give Dr. Dean a 1, as he s a great optometrist. But either he thinks a perfumed nasal assault will be welcomed by patients, or is covering something up, or his staff are running amok and have him cowed.
If you are scent averse, EyeC is not the optometrist for you.
Phenomenal experience! Dreaded getting my eyes checked, because I feared that I would need glasses. My fears were realized, I in fact need glasses. But in the process, I found a solid Optometrist. Dr. Dean Le and his staff were great. I was able to make a same day appointment and once I arrived everything went super smooth. Between the check in, examination and consultation, they were curteous and thorough. They explained what they were doing every step of the way, while stopping to tell you if there was going to be an extra charge. Mia helped me pick out glasses (great selection of brands and styles). She reviewed my insurance coverage, and explained what was covered and what would be out of pocket, which I fully appreciated.
Overall, I couldn t be happier with EyeC Optometry. I highly recommend Dr. Le and stellar staff. Thank you for making this experience a good one.
Interesting a negative review about air fresheners.... I can say Dr. Lee has been my optometrist for 10+ year always remembers me and greets us and I will be going to him for years to come . He has such a kind heart and always thinks of his patients well being. What I love most is acknowledge of my son that is important he will always have a conversation with my son. I highly recommend Dr. Lee.
I went there about 3 months ago. The doctor, office manager Meli and the back staff are awesome. But the grumpy and disrespectful front lady in charge of scheduling appointments is something else very incompetent. The doctor should have a serious talk with her. She needs to improve her skills and take some classes about costumer service.
EyeC Optometry makes sure to keep their client s happy and healthy! My optometrist goes way behind their job and makes sure to check in with me and my life goals. If you re looking for a spot where your doctor makes sure your overall health and your eye health is good, this is your spot. This doctor takes I guess you can say holistic approach to eye health. Cute, cozy, clean, accessible.
Dr. Le gave my eyes a thorough check up with state of the art equipment. He is gentle, competent and kind. His staff is kind and patient with assisting clients. They have an excellent selection of up to date frames. I found exactly what I was looking for. I highly recommend EyeC Optometry in Gilroy California.
Dr. Le, is AMAZING. I was referred to Dr. Le by a current patient, and boy am I glad I decided to make an appointment. Not only is the staff friendly and make you feel welcome, but I felt like Dr. Le takes his time during my appointments and did not make me feel rushed like other doctors have done. I love that Dr. Le has advanced technologies for my diagnosis of Keratoconus. He has been patient with me, and continues to work hard to make sure I have the best vision with my condition. I would highly recommend Dr. Le to anyone out there looking for an eye doctor.
Excellent Customer service. Helped promptly. The Doctor takes his time and makes sure you are completely satisfied with your new prescription. He also takes the time to show you first hand images of your eye and explain what can be done to improve vision and prevent further damage. Office staff is very sweet and helpful.
This optometry is the best I have probably been to . The assistants are so nice and will help you out with evrything you need . I personally love this place and for the people out there wondering if they should try it then you guys should. There s this new contact treatment which would make people s or your kids eye better and I think people should know about this so go and ask for more info and definitely don t doubt to try this place out ! Also the new treatment with contacts is defenitly for people like me who don t want to wear glasses and want to make their sight better! So everyone try it out !
I wanted to write this a long time ago but didn't have the chance to. I do not recommend this optometrist to any one. If you walk in to get a check up, pretty sure you're going to walk out with hard contacts and with $2000 less. This happened to me and other people. Dr. Le said that I needed these contacts in order to not lose more of my vision, so i convinced myself to get them. After months of wearing them and they did not end up working, Dr. Le said it was because I had flat corneas. He ended giving me a pair of perscripted sunglasses and a couple of trial soft contacts which didn't even value $1000. I went to a different optometrist and explained my situation. Who informed me that the hard contacts are only used if you had "flat corneas" and this doctor told me that I don't have flat corneas and there was absolutely no reason why I should have gotten those hard contacts. And that this optometrist has gotten many same cases where Eye C Optometry patients have been fooled by Dr. Le into getting these contacts. So again, please try and get advice from different optometrists before accepting hard contacts from Dr. Le.
This wow, no words to describe how terrible this place is, and so many reasons why not to come back. They are money stealing thieves. They lure you into making an appointment even though your prescription still hasn t expired. They re not doing this for your own good but because they want your money. They re main goal isn t trying to help you see clearly but instead take your money. You re better off looking somewhere else.
Dr. Le has been our family eye doctor for more than 10 years. We all liked his sincerity and trusted his integrity. He has taken good care of each family member's eye health, and have our interests in his heart. We really trust our eyes with him, no kidding.
More then 1 star for modern equipment. Things were going smooth till they couldn't get me the right frames I order and lenses to fit properly. The staff didn't want to hear my issue and would pass me along, would be short or have attitude. And from the first visit front dest doesnt seem to be able to do more than say sign in on the tablet. Took about 9 months to get the frames I originally ordered and lenses that fit them properly. I would also be the one calling for updates and never be called for updates.
Dr. Le and EyeC staffs are truly the best. Excellent customer care and in-depth eye exam. They take the time to explain the health of my eyes in a simplest way that truly make senses. I have always been pleased with everything about this place. They are fast, friendly, pleasant, and has the BIGGEST frame inventory in Gilroy. I love my SALT frame. Thank you guys!
Really great experience as I walked in the door they gave me full attention as I took my son there to get his vision checked very pleased with all the staff dr. Lee was great I would recommend this place to anybody.
I have been going to Dr. Le for several years now. He calls me by name and is very friendly but professional. His equipment are state of the art. He is the only optometrist who told me that I have sunburn in my eye. I have been going to optometrists since I was 10 years old and I am not 66! So I protect my eyes with sunglasses almost everywhere I go.
My brother took his pair glasses he got there to fix and they broke them and told him they couldn t fix them or do anything about it. Why would you break them and say it s cause they are old. It makes no sense. If you did a mistake and break them okay but fix them. Now he is unable to see correctly and clear due to his glasses being broken by a worker there.
I recently came here with my boyfriend for him to get an eye exam, this was one of the WORST experiances ever. The appointment was at 2:30 we didnt get seen until 3:30 and we had to get up and ask if we were going to be seen after waiting an HOUR! Finally the Dr. came in and told us he needed to get his eyes dilated which was fine. We then waited another hour for his eyes to dilate which dosent take an hour!. We had to ask the front desk again when will he be seen again because he eyes were already dilating they told us to have a seat and to continue to wait longer. The Dr. then recommend a trial pair of contacts and that they would be ready in a day or 2, its been over a WEEK AND A HALF and she just called him telling him his contacts were in. I Would Highly not recommend this place to anyone. Our experience there was HORRIBLE. We didnt leave the optometry until 4:40 it should NEVER take that long for an eye exam.
Their staff is very sweet and informative, I was able to get excellent care and advice for my 5 year old and myself. I would recommend to all my friends and family.
Today I went in for my astigmatism contacts and I almost cried on how clear I can see!! love this place best optometrist I ve went to. I 100% recommend this place
If I could give zero stars I would. Just stay away from this place. After getting my vision exams here for the last two years, I ve learned my lesson. There is obviously zero communication from the doctor to the staff and to the patient. They definitely do not wear their PPE s properly, thinking that just covering the mouth is sufficient. The doctor didn t even wash his hands after moving from one exam room to mine and proceeded to grab my hand to shake it and do the full exam. The staff will charge you fees that are completely bogus and then never follow up with getting your contacts ordered. After having to call the office to find out if they even ordered my trial lenses a week later, they flat out lied to me and gave me the run around for two weeks I ended up having to get VSP to credit me so I can go elsewhere. Just such a waste of time and so frustrating.
Went in their for a bad eye infection paid $235 for th whole visit which was fine. Nurse that helped me said if I could go back next day so Doctor can see me for a follow up. So I went next day for follow up and they charge me again for $65 dollar just for th doctor to review prescription I had. Very unhappy cuz I already had paid them. Was planning on in going their to get my eyeglasses prescription but after that I'm not. Very inconsiderate and theirs a grill works in th front rude as for th other girls their so nice. Really bad on th overcharge. Very unhappy.
So my appointment went well. Thats not the problem. I take am hour lunch every work day and asked for an extended lunch the day they notified me my glasses came in. It took my entire lunch and then some to just even get to try them on. Keep in mind I had already paid in full weeks prior to picking them up. Youd think picking up something like this wouldn t take from your day. And get this. Some one who also had a pickup came in about 50 minutes after I did and instantly picked up their pair of new glasses. The people are nice but could have handled the service a bit better
Not worth the time dealing with these people. They always contradict eachothers statements. Money grabbers is what you call them. Worst customer service at its best. Normally prescription is given for 2 years but not in this optometry. My insurance allows a visit every two years for my child and they know this (I called them before hand and they mentioned this) but they provide you with a one year prescription expiration as a catch. I recently went to this optometry to ask for my child's prescription but unfortunately they said it had expired a few months back but how could it if insurance visits are every two years. But they would happily charge the insurance again for another appointment. I can't even go anywhere else for another appointment until those two years are up. They said they could charge my insurance as emergency visit but I said no, it's not an emergency, all I needed was the prescription and my child could still see using that prescription. Even my son left this optometry years ago and he had warned me about their service and scams but I didn't listen. I recommend people to not look twice towards this optometry and go to a different one. I've called a variety of different optometrists around the area and San Jose and they also stated their prescription is good for 2 years.
I don't rate companies very high but they did a pretty good job eye C Optometry help let me get a pair of glasses I didn't very much like the price range but the service and the patience of the workers has really won me over
