This was my 4th hip procedure and 1st by Steadman/Philippon. Staff was great, experience was great. I will definitely recommend!.

I love this place, but getting in touch with a doctor is almost impossible!

It's absolutely outrageous that I am about to spend $10,000 with them and they can't even get back to me... Get your priorities straight, hire some people that actually care and aren't just showing up.

I love my doctor, but come on!

Dr. Corenman and his team of professionals provided such an amazing experience for me. If you are suffering from back or neck pain, I 100% recommend him and his team.

My experience:
I had been suffering from back pain that dramatically altered my life. When doctors in my area stated there was nothing they could do to help me, I sought another opinion. I had heard good things about the Steadman Clinic, and requested an over the phone consultation with Dr. Corenman. He consulted with me over the phone after reviewing my file to ensure my travels to Vail wouldn't be a waste of time. When at the Clinic I was assessed by a variety of professionals that analyzed my body mechanics to see what was going internally in my back. They also had high tech MRI and x-rays that they analyzed. Dr. Corenman and his team were extremely professional, kind, and thorough with every encounter I had with them. This includes the nurses, x-ray techs, MRI tech, physical therapist and especially his PAs "Eric". They were all so compassionate with my case, allowed me time to ask questions, and thoroughly explained to me what was going on and how they could help me.

After such an amazing first experience I decided to have surgery. Dr. Corenman and his team did surgery, and ensured everything was resolved even issues that couldn't be seen. They also thoroughly explained everything to my husband before, during and after surgery to ensure his comfort as well.

I am currently 5 months out, and feel so completely amazing. I have complete feeling my my leg, and have no pain!!!! I am so grateful that I am going to get my life back. Thank you to the amazing Corenman team at the Steadman Clinic in Vail!

I had FAI surgery in August 2019. Every single physician, and other team members provided excellent medical care, took the time to really listen to my concerns and conducted a thorough evaluation of my condition. Dr. Philippon, Dr Evans and their respective teams were brilliant! Following my surgery, the next day actually, the Physical Therapy team was waiting to get me going on the road to recovery! The Steadman Clinic has brought my life back to normal. I will always be grateful to them!

I was hurt 2008 in the Army. So in early 2020 I was Give him a chance to go down where all the athletes go THe Steadman clinic in VAIL CO. And I went with High Hopes and that they would be able to Remove 4 broken screws and replace a metal plate in my back with something new but just as many befor them I was Turned down And told I would not be touched with so much as even a pen, I was too high risk /a liability. I thought they were the best I guess I was mistaken.

I would highly recommend anyone considering hip arthroscopic Labral surgery to the Steadman Clinic, Dr. Philippon. His entire staff and team have been absolutely amazing through my journey. The entire team has been so helpful from Day 1. Meghan was extremely helpful in getting me a review of my MRI/medical records and then scheduling me for surgery. She continues to be helpful after surgery in coordinating anything I need. Mark Ryan, has been so helpful as well, he is always willing to answer any questions I have regarding my rehab. Also, Heather has been also very helpful with any surgical related questions post operatively as well as helping with medication refills after surgery. Dr. Philippon himself does amazing work surgically. Every patient deserves this type of cutting edge treatment. I've never worked with a whole "team" like this and can not say enough good things about the entire team. Thank you to the whole team for outstanding care.

Having spent the majority of my adult life in strength sports I was devastated when I found out that my instant onset of groin/hip pain was something I needed surgery to correct. I never thought I would squat again. Within 2 months of my first surgery I was squatting and back to deadlifting 300 lbs.

I've received labral tear repair and FAI reconstructive surgery for both my right and left hip within 5 months. Having had no previous injuries (I am 30) and no surgical experience in my life, I didn't really know what to expect.

Dr. Philippon and his team were absolutely amazing! Within literal hours after both my surgeries I was up and walking around, riding the bike, and feeling good. I opted out of all pain meds post surgery and never experienced pain over about a 4.

I truly believe Dr. Philippon and his team are the reason I am still moving heavy weight today.

I cannot even express how incredible my experience was with Dr. Millett's entire team. After a year and 1/2 of conservative treatment on a shoulder injury, I suddenly became a surgical patient. The entire team was extremely helpful and caring through my entire experience from scheduling my appointments to my 1st post op appointment with one of his 2 amazing Physician Assistants. Their personal interest in my care has been beyond any of my expectations. As a local in the Vail community, I have felt as though I have received excellent care matching that of a VIP. Great staff all around! Genuinely cares about my health after surgery. They have checked up on me and given me a therapy regimen. Highly recommend.

I would love to write a review about my experience with Dr. Philippon however his staff refuses to set an appointment for me to even get seen. If this review was about his office staff it would be a poor one. The office staff has very poor follow up, very poor communication skills and lacks in compassion and concern for their patients. I have been getting the run around from the office staff since June of 2013 and to this date I still cannot get an appointment to even be seen by Dr. Philippon. I run my own business and if my employees behaved this way and treated my customers this poorly, I would want to know about it and rectify the situation.

He has done both my left and right hips. The left had to have a micro fracture procedure and the right was only a labrual tear. He did a great job on both. The only thing I'd say is on my second surgery is was a little hectic and unorganized. I felt a little forgotten in the sense that they thought that I remembered everything from my first surgery. They were over booked and I spent a total of 5 minutes with Dr. P before, after, and at my post check up. But I didn't choose him for his customer service skills. He's a talented surgeon and if I had another hip that needed to be done, I would go to him.
I'm 6 months postop on my right hip and have been able to get back on my mtn bike for shorter, less gnarly rides, I'm back in the gym doing my normal routine, and am slowly working my way into running. He's the best at what he does, just don't expect to have a long conversation with him. He does have a great team.

I dislocated my left knee (ACL, PCL, MCL, LCL, class 4 lesion to the Patella, and a torn Meniscus). During my second surgery to repair the damage, while under the care of Dr. Sterett, Dr. Hackett and the Steadman Clinic, I got compartment syndrome on my lower "right" leg. Keep in mind they were operating on my "left" knee. Before their acts of carelessness, I was competing in duathlons, rock climbing, mountain biking, climbing and snowboarding 14ers in Colorado, road biking, practicing yoga, lifting weights, mountaineering all throughout the Cascades and Rockies, skiing, snowboarding, hiking...pretty much living the Colorado dream. Now, none of that is possible. I will no longer be able to return to my normal active lifestyle. Dr. Sterett, Dr. Hackett, nor the Steadman Clinic, has taken ownership in destroying a perfectly health leg. Leaving me to deal with a lifetime of complications.

I brought my young daughter in for a wrist injury. She was treated quickly and we were taken great care of. Dr. Viola and his staff were very professional and she heeled great!

The Steadman clinic is fantastic. Dr. Philippon is incredibly skilled at his job and his staff are amazing. Always on top of everything, and explaining everything in great detail. They are fully invested in the success your operation and your recovery. I wouldn't recommend any other hip preservation team than the Steadman Clinic.

Super horrible office staff procedures, off the charts horrible service, good luck resolving issues, highly recommend avoiding this clinic. Your results will be lost and the ability to deliver the results to you is just to complicated for them. They own control and design their insane complicated system and some how you will be charged with navigating their issues!

Everyone wants to know how I am doing and I say "awesome!" Dr. Kim is amazing!" How fortunate we are to live in a valley with the best doctors and surgeons in the world.

The Steadman Clinic is truly world class. My entire treatment process from start to finish was the most comprehensive that I have ever experienced. Dr. Philippon is a wizard. He fixed my hip when no other doctors thought it was possible. The entire team at the Steadman clinic / Vail Valley surgical center were excellent. I truly appreciated the OR nursing staff, Dr. Evans, the attending physicians, and the DPT staff at Howard Head who were warm, professional, and knowledgeable at all times. If you are someone who is having joint problems and isn't ready to give up on an active lifestyle the Steadman Clinic is where you should be headed.

I had surgery 1 week ago, and Dr. Millett and his team provided extraordinary care pre, during and now post-operation. It couldn't have gone more smoothly. I am thoroughly impressed by their professionalism, caliber of expertise, and genuine care for their patients. Highly recommend.

An astonishing clinic, who were able to ameliorate the damage caused to my knee by a previous surgery. 9 years later I'm still able to run and ski. I was lucky enough to be operated on by the now retired Dr Steadman, but the whole operation, including the attached Howard Head physio clinic were magnificent.

I have had very successful shoulder and knee surgeries. Dr. Millett is thorough, dedicated and kind. His team is the best, detail oriented, warm and welcoming. Absolutely the best team!

I traveled a long way to The Steadman Clinic on my doctors recommendation and it was worth it in every way possible. From the excellent concierge service in planning hotels and transportation, cheerful front end staff, most excellent nurses, highest level doctors, great imaging staff and physical therapy professionals who seemed to know what I was feeling before I could even express it to them. Bottom line is every aspect was outstanding, friendly, courteous, efficient and the best at what they do. The facility was also outstanding, clean and modern.

From the first phone call I made to the Steadman clinic, till I walked out of there a new person was and forever will be the best medical experience I have ever had. I went to them in so much pain from other from failed back surgeries, and they were the most caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable surgeons, PA's, and nurses that I've ever seen or met. I would give them 1000 stars if that were a choice. They saved me from a lifetime of pain, and unhappiness that I will never be able to repay. I am a whole new person thanks to the love and care I received from the Steadman Clinic. I HIGHLY recommend them, so much that I would put my life in their hands any day. A special THANK YOU to Dr. Corenman, his PA Eric Strauch, and the nursing staff for not only giving me my life back, but for being Real people, humble, kind, and good natured. Took my 14 year old daughter here from Arizona and it was worth every bit of effort and money! They were so professional. Dr. Haytmanek was so good at explaining everything and very attentive. This was an ongoing problem for 7 years and it was the first time she felt like a doctor listened to her. And we have seen MANY doctors!!! I am so glad I had Dr. Haytmanek referred to us. Oh and Ryan is amazing to work with as well!

I am adding to my review(after our 6 week surgical follow up)... my daughter finally "officially" has relief! So many doctors we saw in Arizona with no help. A year out of sports from pain and 8 months of non weight bearing. Finally, she is moving on to PT and rebuilding! Dr. Haytmanek has changed her world and given her hope to get back to her life (which is sports!)

My review of The Steadman Clinic, Dr. Philippon specifically, and his entire team is overdue. I have wanted to express my gratitude for a long time but have struggled to figure out the words to express the depth of my gratitude for the care I received and the compassion and kindness of everyone that helped and treated me.

The clinic is well run with a seamless patient tracking system and onsite resources like the MRI providing immediate feedback for the physicians. The facilities are modern and it is clear technology is hard at work.

They focus on today's problems and solutions; tomorrow's possibilities via the incredible research they are doing; and they also seem to be eager to bring experts together in things like their hip symposium. Probably for most patients a lot of this is behind the scenes but this is a hotspot for progress.

My experience was long and took a commitment to presurgery strengthening, travel, and emotional/mental stamina. But someone was there the entire way. Mark especially stayed with me during questions about the prehab and the post surgical rehab. This is serious business and I am blessed to have been accepted as a patient and to have had the help I received.

Dr. Philippon especially is not only such an expert, he is also the kindest person you could ever meet. I feel he is especially unique in that he has an eye for today (and also has unmatched surgical expertise), but he also clearly has the creative intuitive piece that moves medicine ahead.

Dr. Philippon has and continues to see solutions that others had not seen, and then he brings it together with new surgical tools for the toolbox and just new ways of looking at old problems. As a person he is also just the nicest guy you will ever meet. The world of seeking help from experts can be hard on a patient and it can beat you down mentally. It isn't often someone at his level can be so approachable and kind.

Everyone from start to finish at this clinic is one of a kind. Not to sound overly dramatic but Dr. Philippon and his team saved my life. Thank you everyone.

I especially would like to recognize Dr. Millet and his staff. From the first contact, his response and knowledge of my situation alleviated any fears I had. I recently flew from Tampa, FL to Vail, CO because of the positive things we were hearing about the Steadman Clinic. I was in need of surgery (ACDF) and we were told that Dr. Corenman was the man to see. We knew before even meeting with Dr. Corenman that we were in the right place. His staff was incredible, and made us feel like we were in the best of hands, which it turns out, we were. Cannot say enough positive things about our experience!

Dr. Corenman is a class act. I am an ophthalmologist and found Dr. Corenman online. He is an amazing surgeon, great bedside manner, explains everything in great detail, and inspires great confidence. No regrets. I had L5-S1 spinal fusion.

Dr Millett, is such an amazing surgeon! He has a magical philosophy, starting PT the day after surgery to help keep you from getting scar tissue build up and adhesions which makes the healing process take so much longer and is much more painful. He is the world s best surgeon of repairing shoulders, besides being kind and humble along with having an amazing bedside manner. Because of the above, I might even elect to have the surgery on my right shoulder before it becomes a full tear! After experiencing Dr Millett and his team, I can truly say, he is the "real deal" and every medical school should use him as a role model for emerging doctors.

play 200 +/- rounds of golf a year and tore my labrum. consulted with 4 surgeons and all said surgery was the only option. found Dr Philippon through some connections and the experience was off the charts. was scheduled for surgery with a Dr in south Florida (a Dr P want to be)and got a one page sheet saying don't take Advil for a week, show up on Friday at noon for procedure and the following Tuesday for post op evaluation and discussion about Physical Therapy...that was it!! Elementary school versus the MIT experience at The Steadman. the pre-surgical detail, evaluations, testing, procedures, post-op protocol etc was off the charts night and day different. I'm expecting to be back playing golf 100% in a few more weeks and hitting the ball further than before. the team is awesome!!!

I had a hip surgery on May 2017(Hip Arthroscopy to repair a labral tear I also had a FAI combined and a microfracture) I'm not one who ever write or post any reviews but I wanted to share this experience to help anyone out there who needs this kind of surgery , I'm 41 , and love to stay active , before I was hurt I did a few Ironmen and marathons I also played tennis and golf; and active life is just part of my nature. I can't say enough about what a great experience I had , I could not have had picked a better Doctor / Team to performed my surgery, from the Surgical Coordinator Meghan Giroux to the Howard Head Physical Therapy and everyone and everything in between was wonderful ! Thank you Dr. Philippon and his Team !!!!

My daughter recently had knee surgery performed by Dr. Millett at the Steadman Clinic. I will say that it has by far been the best medical experience my family and I have ever had. Dr.Millett and his team of experts delivered 5 star quality service from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. In addition to being incredibly diligent and thorough, Dr. Millett and all members of his team have an unmatched bedside manner that makes a lasting impression and elevates the patient experience. Which at times can be very daunting. I would highly recommend Dr. Millett to any one looking for the best orthopedic care available. My daughter is now pain free!

Absolutely terrible, they claimed and billed me for an MRI years ago and can not produce the MRI. I have spoken with Carmen, Laurie and Greg and I have gotten no where. You'd think even in today;s healthcare mess you could help me out.

I have had 9 surgeries in the past 10 years and truly the Steadman Clinic is exceptional. I have never experienced the level of care that Steadman provided. From scheduling, to insurance, to the entire pre-surgery and post-surgery team of Dr. Philippon EVERY SINGLE team member went above and beyond to help me. Dr. Philippon is world-renowned and a legend (possibly immortal) and was able to fi my hip and give me back my quality of life. Even with this mythological status, I never felt rushed when speaking with him and asking him questions. To have the talent he does combined with his ability to make you feel like you are a priority is rare. I can't recommend Dr. Philoppon or Steadman Clinic enough; he is worth the drive, the flight, and possibly my first born.

My son had his left hip impingement and labral tear repaired by Dr. Phillipon in August of 2016 and then returned to repair the right hip in December of 2017. He's a DI soccer player and was able to resume play approximately 9 months post-surgery. He is still rehabbing from the second procedure but all is going smoothly.

Dr. Phillipon and his staff, as well as the PTs at Howard Head, were all extremely knowledgeable, professional and responsive throughout the entire process from travel planning to surgery to our four-day stay for rehab. Having surgery is not an easy process, but the fact that all of our appointments went smoothly and that communication was always open made it as seamless as possible. If you are a candidate for hip surgery, you can't be in better hands.

Dr. Viola took such good care of me for my ECU subluxation surgery. I have have had no issues playing high-level tennis and golf since surgery. His entire team was impressive as well! Highly recommend and 100% worth traveling to Vail for.

I have been coming to the Steadman Clinc for 17 years, and I live in California, and I have 90% of my orthopedic surgeries and rehabilitation done at the Steadman Clinc and Howard Head downstairs. I have had different surgeries with different doctors and each team has demonstrated excellence in problem solving and providing personalized care and treatment. They do a awesome job and they are caring people. I would not be doing as well as I am today if it had been all the fabulous doctor's there. I have watched it start cozy and small and the burst into it's beautiful new facility that reflects the state of the art medicine they practice while maintaining the focus on the patient. Due to my complicated condition I have had procedures across the country with top facilities my heart and confidence remains with the Steadman clinic. They will take care of you, sometimes it take time, but it is always well thought out and done in my best interest and worth the wait.

Dr. Clayton and his team were great! I had ankle surgery and it went well, I am looking forward to being back to my best soon.

This review is for Dr. Philippon at the Steadman Clinic. If you are diagnosed with Cam Impingement, Hip Impingement or a labral tear in your hip, Dr. Phillipon is the surgeon to see. I investigated several other surgeons and asked each about their outcomes from this surgery and all of them pointed to Dr. Philippon's published outcomes as if they were their own. The other important thing to know is that Dr. Philippon requires each patient to fill out a screening questionnaire prior to accepting you as a patient. The questionnaire feeds an algorithm that predicts the success of the surgery. If you score too low, you won't be his patient. I have met people that were not accepted due to their age or their BMI. The last and most important comment is that the quality of the surgeon is 1/2 the battle. The other half is you. The post surgical protocol is wildly important, and that's all you. The commitment to recovery is huge. Don't bother with the surgery if you are not able to commit to recovery as the most important thing in your life for at least 8 weeks post surgical. That includes PT and taking the required medications and supplements. Good luck, and happy healing!

If you have any complicated joint issue, this is the best place in the world for care. HANDS DOWN! If you;ve been suffering for years and don't know where to turn, and are trying to avoid joint replacement, you need to book the first flight to Vail. I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff, physicians, facilities and outcomes. Additionally, their research institute tracks outcomes. These docs want to make sure you are getting results, not just performing surgeries for $$. Thank you, Steadman clinic for giving me my life back!

Dr. Millett and team totally fixed my shoulders with reverse total shoulder replacements in June and in Aug. I am pain free and able to play tennis again. Thank you all so much. Surgery is never fun but soooo worth it in the long run. I could not be happier!

Clinic and staff were incredibly hospitable and treated us as if we were family. They are always on their feet and ready to attend. Takes a while to get an appointment scheduled due to the high demand for Dr. Philippon, so plan ahead of time.

Dr. Clanton and his team (reception, nurses, XRays, the surgery center and everyone in-between) are wonderful. I previously had surgery on my foot and that Dr. did not do a good job. I was then referred to Dr. Clanton at the Steadman Clinic. This clinic is for you if you need a Sports and/or Orthopedic Surgeon. It s worth the drive to Vail and the wait to see Dr. Clanton.

I had a fantastic experience at Steadman Clinic with Dr. Hackett and his entire team! From the get-go, the logistics, planning, care and attention by everyone has been grade A and world class. I made an appt with Dr. Hackett for reconstructive knee surgery. I called a month before my appt to ask if we could lob a pre-approval request for an MRI to my insurance b/c I was driving from out of town and didn't want to have to return a week or two later after insurance finally OK'd it. Rae the scheduler informed me they can get same-day insurance approvals and I'd just need to walk down the hall for an MRI, and she she was right!

The whole process was well organized and seamless. Sarah the PA called me that evening with some preliminary results of the MRI and Dr. Hackett called shortly afterwards with his thoughts and we formed a gameplan for my surgery and graft choice. He definitely took the time both during my initial consultation and over the phone to answer any questions I had in full detail with no regard for time, and presented all of the choices to me instead of just going with one roadmap like some doctors will do without even bothering to explain that you have other options to explore. The follow-up care by everyone was amazing, and the Physical Therapists (particularly Pamela and Sonya) downstairs at the Howard Head center were a pleasure to work with!

Steadman sends you a lot of info beforehand, if you take the time to read everything and fill out all the online forms and questionnaires beforehand the process is even more fast and smooth. Overall I'm SO happy I came to the best and highly recommend the team at Steadman.

In January I tore my right Rotator cuff. No surgeon in Grand Junction wanted to do the repair. So up to Vail I went to see Dr. Millett. When I got there he and his team said, "yea we can do the repair surgery, no problem". And that's been the approach ever since with Dr. Millett and his team. A great bunch of people, treated us like family, very friendly.
I would recommend them to everyone. They are world class professionals.

Dr. Millet and his team are world class. I can t speak highly enough of him. I had had a prior surgery go poorly. Dr. Millett found the issue, fixed it and also corrected some damage done by the prior surgeon. He has amazing bedside manner, listens fully to your concerns, then brings his incredible knowledge and skill to the operating room. I m only one day out from surgery and moving better and with less pain than after weeks from my previous surgery. From the first visit, I could tell that they just do it right at The Steadman Clinic. Incredible from the team working the front desk to the surgeon. I saw Dr. Philippon for a hip scope revision and will be going back for my other hip revision in the fall. I am so appreciative of the care from each and every member of the team and surgical staff. They are giving me my life back!

Doctor Phillipon did my left hip and overall the surgery went well. Why he's only getting four stars is because I have railroad tracks scars, according to my dermatologist. This is because the PA who stitched my surgical wounds went over the top of my skin rather than underneath. When I complained about the large scar, the nurse said oh the PA gave you butterfly wings. After speaking with other medical experts, butterfly wings are not a thing. They're known as railroad tracks and they're frowned upon in the medical community. :( Very unfortunate visible outcome for such a great job underneath.

I can't say enough about great things my experience with The Steadman Clinic. I have lived with chronic pain for years, and Dr Philippon was the first to successfully diagnose my condition. Since that diagnosis, I have had two arthroscopic surgeries in 4 months to repair the labral tears in both hips. From the pre-op assessment to the op procedure to the post-op PT, I received exceptional hands-on, human-centered treatment. After much research and thorough consideration I decided to travel from NYC -- where there are many exceptional orthopedic surgeons -- to do this. Now that I've been through it and I know what I know, I can't imagine undergoing this anywhere else. You just cannot get better medical advice, expertise, and treatment for this type of hip condition and procedure. Plus, unlike the doctors in NYC, Steadman + Vail Valley + Howard Head were all covered by insurance.

I was amazed at the level of efficiency and organization I encountered here, both pre- and post-op, and my experience was extremely positive. The post-op notebook I was given provided a very detailed guide as to what I needed to do for the next several weeks, and was invaluable at keeping me on track with both meds and physical therapy.

My recovery has been much quicker and easier than I anticipated, and I highly recommend the Steadman/Philippon clinic for anyone who needs orthopedic surgery. Their reputation is well-deserved!

Absolutely loved the Drs and nurses at the clinic. My husband is an athlete and had a torn labrum repaired. I gave them 3 stars because dealing with things concerning insurance/workers comp has been a very frustrating experience. My husband has been attempting to work with an incompetent lady named DENISE who really needs to be educated on how to do her job. My husband was trying to make a follow-up appointment with this clinic through workers comp. He was told that HE needed to figure out if the appointment would be covered by workers comp so he spent DAYS trying to track down his medical record # and insurance information (this meant calling his past trainers and insurance company who would not return his calls) only to finally get a hold of DENISE again to have her tell him she already had that information and she was able to obtain it in mere minutes on her computer. My husband had to cancel his follow-up appointment during the period of time he was attempting to find information that DENISE already had and was told today by her that now she s unsure he will be able to get an appointment before his workers comp runs out. She has made no effort to apologize for her mistakes and the wasting of my husbands time.

I'm having a problem consistent with other complaints other people have. As far as I can tell, the doctors are great.

Their insurance, scheduling and other staff might be good and other times really bad. They lose a lot of communications through multiple avenues. The rules for contacting them aren't consistent. They don't call back when they do get your message, and when you bring it up they talk about how busy they are.

Another example, they made a mistake with billing my insurance. I really don't feel like I was being rude, but whoever I was talking to started yelling when I showed them exactly what the problem was.

You might have a good experience here. However, if you're not famous or a world-class athlete, there's a chance you'll have an incredibly frustrating time dealing with the staff. There's no one holding anyone else accountable for repetitive, significant errors. If you notice a problem, don't get mad, don't try to speak to a superior, just go somewhere else.

Remains the most respected Surgeon I know. Not only did he give my life back to me in 2013, when other doctors and surgeons told me for 12.5 yrs that nothing could be done (prescribing drug after drug, after harsh PT, etc.) he genuinely cares!

I will never forget that call he personally made to me when he said the words, "I believe I can help you," and he did. I remember crying in his office in pain and then later crying because freed me from that pain.

Every day I wake without a headache, excruciating pain in my back, neck, head, SC joint, I think of him and thank God for him and the events and people who led me to his office. There are times I overdo it and ache and hurt, but I can almost always "rest it off" with a good night sleep.

To this day, Dr. Millett cares about my continued progress and the health of the people I love.

Surgery on right hip 9-19-17. I had a wonderful experience while being treated for a right hip labrum tear/impingement. Communication was on point and I had zero issues with staff. Everyone that had a part in my pre-op and post-op care, did an amazing job. The surgery went great, I haven't had any post-op complications to date. Healing up at a steady clip. I've struggled with severe back pain my whole life, started going to Steadman's two years ago when Dr. Corenman did my back surgery & recently found a lot of my pain has been a result of bad hips (Dr. Evans is the best!). Dr. Philippon got me in for surgery really quick, I woke up with zero pain, used zero pain meds and feel a thousand times better already! Steadman's is hands-down the best at what they do, I'll never go anywhere else!

The entire Steadman Clinic/Howard Head facility are amazing and there is just simply no comparison in the world. After having my first hip surgery done by someone that was not Dr. Philippon, I made sure not to make the same mistake 2 times. Ever since my experience with my second R hip surgery at Steadman with the team and Dr. P in 2012, I could not see going anywhere else for any serious orthopedic injuries. It is clear they are years ahead of any facility of the many that I have checked out, and having surgery done anywhere else would be doing yourself a disservice. When you come here you are treated as family, and can contact with questions about anything that arises after you have left. I am feeling like I am finally turning a page on a difficult chapter of my life plagued by pain/injury since 2007 and all that goes along with it. Thankfully in 2018 I was able to also have the fortune of having my R hip replaced and that pain eliminated thanks to Dr. Matta and his awesome team. I appreciate Talena, Sean, and Meghan for helping me with the gameplan to get both the hip replacement and Hip Labral repair all done in the same year. I feel like a new man compared to how I felt at the beginning of the year and have the entire team at the Steadman Clinic to thank for that from Dr. Philippon and his entire team to Dr. Matta and his entire team. Also all of the Physical Therapists at Howard Head are top notch. I rave about how great I have been treated in my tenure as a patient at the Steadman clinic and refer anyone with an orthopedic problem to do the right thing and get it done at the Steadman Clinic. My replacement was done in May and Labrum in October. I can't wait to wake up everyday and live life rather than worry about debilitating pain. Thank you!!

This clinic is only looking to get money from its clients, they don't care or understand their own customers. The clinic staff is unprofessional even more Dr LaPrade and his team. I was surprised to see a facility that looks like you are inside of a bank and once you're inside it is empty, almost no patients around. Please make sure you don't get confuse with the rest of the hospital.

I am so happy with my experience at the Steadman Clinic! The entire staff was helpful, encouraging, professional, and timely, and made going through surgery that much easier. Post-op, I've had excellent results, and couldn't be more pleased with my progress. I couldn't recommend the Steadman Clinic enough... they are truly the best out there!

I had ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair knee surgery with a knee specialist at the Steadman Clinic a year ago. They give people a "nerve block" to numb the leg with local anesthetic for the surgery and for three days after the surgery so you don't feel any pain. It sounds great, but they didn't mention that local anesthetic is toxic if it gets into your bloodstream! Unfortunately enough of it got into my blood to nearly kill me. It would be better if they only left the nerve block in for only one day after surgery to avoid this risk. Hopefully they have made this change by now.
An MRI one year after surgery shows my knee cap cartilage is badly torn up (it was not at all torn before surgery) which causes pain after activity. My reconstructed ACL is much much looser than in my other knee and possibly torn (Lachman's Test with hamstring relaxed). I had no major accident during the past year after surgery. The knee cap cartilage was torn up because it was very difficult to bend my knee for many months after surgery. Regaining full range of motion within a few weeks of surgery is important to avoid this problem. ACL reconstruction results in many "side effects" such as osteoarthritis and a weakened quadriceps muscle in addition to the fact that the graft may fail. If you have a torn ACL it is worth exploring the non-surgical option before jumping into surgery.

I'm an ultramarathon runner in southern California. I was diagnosed with a tear in my labrum (right hip) last year. After doing a LOT of research and talking to other runners, Dr. Philippon's name kept coming up. I had surgery on Feb.14, 2017 and I'm back to running. Dr. Philippon and his staff were outstanding! I cannot say enough. They think of everything. I began physical therapy (at the Howard Head clinic) several hours after my operation and continued for several months. They guide you through the whole process. If you need to have Labrum repair Dr. Philippon and the Steadman clinic is THE place to go.

Dr. Philippon performed a fantastic arthroscopic procedure on my right hip. Anesthesia care and postop therapy were each superior. Though prescribed, I did not need any narcotic postop. Fully endorse.

Dr Millett and team have done a miracle to my shoulder.I have more range of motion than ever three months after surgery.I am active as I was before my injury.What still amazes me is
the genuine care combined with excellence this team provided.Even the PT is world class.

Dr. Clanton's TEAM is absolutely the best in the world. I suffered a severe high and low ankle tear and Dr. Clanton repaired me. I returned to playing football at 100% capacity. I am currently being recruited by Division 1A Colleges to play football. This would not have been possible without Dr. Clanton. A profound experience, is when we prayed together before the surgery for a positive outcome. Dr. Clanton and his TEAM are a class act. Thank you Ryan Williams for all of your help and support.

I am just three weeks out from a major reconstructive foot surgery performed by Dr. Haytmanek and his team at the Steadman Clinic in Vail. The professionalism, knowledge, and overall demeanor of Dr. Haytmanek (as well as Dr. Clanton) and his support team (especially Ryan and Cali) is certainly top notch. From my initial contact and consultation with Dr. Haytmanek, through the entire surgical procedure, and now into my aftercare recovery phase, I have always felt completely confident and comfortable with every facet of the surgical procedure. I am looking forward to a 100 percent healthy recovery and long walks on the beach thanks to the Haytmanek team!

My son had two hip surgeries 6 weeks apart to repair labral tears and to smooth out each hip ball. Dr Philippon and his team did an amazing job each time and we cannot be happier. I had shoulder surgery done by Dr. Millett a month ago and I could not be happier. I am 23 and had already had two other shoulder surgeries by a different surgeon here in Nebraska. I had been told that after those two surgeries that my shoulder would be unfixable if I ever had anymore problems and I that I would have to learn to deal with the pain. I am so thankful I found Dr, Millett and the Steadman Clinic. For the first time in 9 years I feel like I have my life back and I have absolutely no pain. I never thought that would even be possible. I expected to come out of surgery and be in a tremendous amount of pain like before. Instead, I came out with very minimal pain and even less than before surgery. His team was absolutely wonderful and made me feel very comfortable and welcome. Tatiana was always keeping me updated and answered any questions I had. Every person from the team came and personally met me and talked to me. It was also wonderful to be able to only have to wait a few minutes in the waiting room and not hours like some clinics I have been to. They took their time once I saw the doctor and explained everything very thoroughly and I never felt like they were rushing to get to the next patient. It was a 6 hour drive but I would do it again in a heartbeat if I needed something fixed. I highly recommend the Steadman Clinic and especially Dr. Millett and his team to anyone having shoulder problems!

My husband was diagnosed with cancer there. He was supposed to get a call from an oncologist for more information, but he never did. This is not good care. We were wrecks with no knowledge about what to do after this bombshell was dropped. Do not recommend this hospital.

I had a heel issue that I decided to get checked out by this clinic in Vail. I was afraid of getting double billed by my insurance company and the clinic if the insurance didn't cover it all. I expressed these concerns to the front desk and the lady told me several times that the clinic would NOT charge me personally! But that they would only charge the insurance company, and if they didn't cover it, then the insurance might charge me. But the Steadman Clinic would not charge me personally. This was a lie! Months later, they have sent me a bill and have called me several times to make me pay it. I have explained the situation and they said they didn't believe me. Plus the doctor didn't do anything for me, just told me that broken heels take a long time to heal and sent me home, had me come back for a checkup a month later (more $$$) and said the same thing. Terrible experience.

After years of conservative therapy which failed for Snapping Scapula Syndrome, I took my daughter to see Dr. Millett, who is a world renowned specialist in the field. I contacted the office by email and Dr. Millett's excellent office manager, Amy, called me back quickly to not only schedule an appointment, but helped with a multitude of questions and gave me options for accommodations while in Vail. Her passion for her position and assisting the patients is very obvious. Our visit with Dr. Millet was beyond our expectations. Dr. Millett and his PA Brian were wonderful in the office with fantastic bedside manner. Their expertise definitely became evident. After my daughter's evaluation and x-rays/ MRI, we had a follow up discussion on options for her care the same day. After deciding on proceeding with surgery, we were lucky enough to be able to have the procedure the next day. Dr. Millett's entire team went above and beyond to deal with insurance issues, schedule the procedure, post-op care and set up our physical therapy schedule while in Vail. Her care at Vail Valley Medical center was excellent from the pre-op nurses, surgery team , PACU, and overnight care while in the hospital. I can not say enough about the care that she received. Her anesthesiologist, (Dr. Bill Whelan), was excellent at obtaining her health history and describing what will happen in the OR regarding anesthesia in a very comforting way. Post-op, Dr. Millet talked to me and explained his findings and the procedure with detail. He was incredibly thorough and reassuring. Her pain was well controlled with local injection techniques that were utilized.

My daughter continues her post-op physical therapy to regain her strength, but she is now pain free for the first time in years! Dr. Millett has given my daughter her high school tennis career back. Thank you Dr. Millett and your compassionate team! We had an incredible experience at The Steadman Clinic.

I m 33 and suffering with knee pain dice last 3 years.I live in South Dakota and here they Don t know what is wrong with my knees that s why I found steadman orthopedic so they can help me out .I heard very good things about them about the doctors and and the staffing but I am very disappointed I send them my knee MRI from South Dakota they called me with my imaging results.Dr. needed to see me in the clinic which was the plan after MRI results but the name Amanda Pane send me a email saying that unfortunately they cannot schedule me for an appointment because they don t have contract with my insurance and And they will let me know if in the future they can get me in with my insurance .
I understand the insurance part but I wasn t even asked if I wanted to still come see the doctor and pay on my own .this is very unprofessional and sad, a place like this do this to a patient and patient who is suffering for last three years with knee pain and counting on them I am not saying anything about the doctors or about other staff but this was the email I got it from Amanda Pana. I cannot reach any doctor or someone else to complain about this email so I am writing it here and I hope that somebody at that clinic reads this and let the doctor know .I was so ready to come there and pay from my pocket because I know they don t except my insurance from beginning so I was already aware of that.

Since I am a professional artist and landscape painter, having a strong right arm and shoulder and being able to continue to explore the back country through hiking, skiing, cycling, riding, and even kayaking, was so very important to me in continuing my work as long as possible. I ll never forget walking down that long hallway of jersey s and photos of renown sports figures on my way to my first appointment at Steadman Clinic. When I walked into the waiting room, it was full of ordinary people, just like me, but all who wanted to get back to their work and active lifestyles.

I was painting 2 days after Dr. Millett s shoulder surgery, though using my left hand or just moving my wrist carefully within that distinct, black sling. I now paint with full arm motions out at shoulder height and on large canvases.

It s amazing how many people I bump into who have had shoulder surgery, and each with a different and interesting story. Everyone said the same thing follow Dr s orders and that of your physical therapists. And I did just that. I had the most wonderful and thorough post-op care through Howard Head Sports Medicine and the Tucson therapist Dr. Millett found while multi-tasking giving me a follow-up exam and texting another colleague in Phoenix, all at the same time.

It s been two years this August since Dr. Peter Millett performed my right shoulder surgery, and I still faithfully do a series of strengthening and even a few range-of-motion exercises. My arm has not felt this stable and pain-free for 30 years. I m back to skiing, hiking, cycling, tennis and riding without problem and most of all, my profession of landscape oil painting.

Thank you again for helping me continue my profession, and something I have done ever since childhood. By everyone at Steadman Clinic and Howard Head Sports Medicine, I was treated with cutting-edge technology and skill, very personal and undivided attention, professionalism and courtesy, all of which led to very successful outcomes. Flew to Vail from Cincinnat for my daughter to see Dr Millett after visiting with multiple other shoulder surgeons. He and his staff were hands down the best. For a surgeon to be so accomplished and respected professionally, and yet be so humble and patient would not seem possible. 2 years following a bicycle accident and an unidentified injury of the collarbone at the breastbone end (SC joint) causing debilitating pain and limited range of motion I was incredibly lucky to be referred from Florida to Dr. Millett and his team in Colorado. This was following multiple imaging studies and multiple doctors that said "nothing is wrong" and basically blew me off. The surgery I had is in a risky location that most orthopedics will not operate in and I really thought I was in for a life of chronic pain and disability. I could not participate in gym activities, yoga, or dancing and things as simple as getting dressed were a struggle. Almost 4 months after surgery (SC joint resection with capsulorrhaphy) I have zero pain/discomfort and have full range of motion. I have returned to doing the things I love with very few limitations and that's only because I have a couple more months of recovery technically. 100% success! I owe so much to Dr. Millett and his professional, skilled, knowledgeable, and compassionate team! They are humble and treat you like family. You will not find a more efficient staff or organization. My experience as a whole far exceeded my expectations. Thank you!

Dr. Philippon and his staff were extremely welcoming, professional and comforting. The expertise of the staff makes the surgical process less stressful. The only complaint is how much waiting happens on the day before surgery.

Although I've had some decent interactions within the Steadman Clinic I'm absolutely displeased with their desire to help to help the locals that help keep this community running. On top of everything else I've been through with them, oddly enough I'm on day 3 of calling and leaving a message to obtain copies of my MRI that I need to bring to another Dr. (and have had to cancel apts. because of I and haven't heard back.) This has been typical in my experience with them. I went to Steadman for knee issue, a pretty severe meniscus tear. Long story short, I was in need of meniscus transplant knee surgery that was scheduled for last May. I had to reschedule because of travel for work, which they said was no problem and to call back when I was ready. When I called to reschedule, they told me they've been having complications with insurance, Medicaid (basically they don't get reimbursed enough), and that they didn't know if they could perform it anymore. After that was a period of answered questions, unreturned calls, and disregard because of what felt like I was a Medicaid patient, It was stated pretty directly that they don't get reimbursed enough from Medicaid for my procedure, and that I'd need to get private insurance to go any further, which isn't legit. This left me in a spot of having to obtain insurance I don't qualify for AND taking on a tremendous debt for the costs that insurance wont cover, which they're able to bill you for under private insurance , but not Medicaid. I feel being an existing patient with a prior scheduled surgery that was cleared, they should have treated me instead basically kicking me to curb. Months of pain later I'm giving up and needing to seek help from another Dr., which is hard to find, a Dr. that performs the complicated surgery I need, and that takes my insurance. My interactions with Dr. Provencher, although seeming like nice guy and a top notch surgeon, always seemed cut very short, and I've had plenty of interactions and unreturned calls from practice coordinators and staff, that made me feel like they didn't want to deal with me because I'm a Medicaid patient. I'm saddened an institute like Steadman (and all others now in Summit County), are more concerned about their enormous profit and will take patients from all over, instead of helping locals that are part of the community and make it possible for others to travel and vacation here (and possibly hurt themselves and go to a clinic like Steadman for treatment). For others with private insurance I'm sure a majority of the treatment and care is top notch, but if you have Medicaid, good luck! (Last I heard they're not taking any more of you anyways.)

DO NOT GO HERE! Dr. Robert LaPrade and his physician's assistant Fred Cook are not good clinicians. They consistently committed fraud in my medical records stating that "all patient questions were addressed and answered." REALLY!?!? Post surgery I developed bruising and swelling in my knee, which I was told was normal. I am six months post-surgery and still have the same issues. I repeatedly asked Dr. LaPrade and Fred Cook about this symptom and received the response of "I don't know." Yet, they still had the nerve to write that everything was fine and all questions were answered in my medical records. I still have my original problems in the addition to the ones caused by the surgery and Fred Cook has not even responded to my communications. GO TO THE UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO HOSPITAL. There is reason UC Health is rated number one and NOT The Steadman Clinic.

The staff was great. I was treated very well for my entire week stay in Vail after surgery. They have also returned all calls and emails very quickly since if been home. Recovery is going great so far. I definitely think I went to the right place.

I had broken my shoulder in three places in September 2016, ended up in the emergency room. Next day I had surgery with a plate and screws inserted in my shoulder by a previous surgeon.
For 8 Months I worked so hard with physical therapy, still only limited mobility, and still a lot of pain.
I had a friend who had soft tissue surgery done by Dr Millett and was very impressed with him. So I emailed Dr Millett and they replied the very next day asking for my shoulder records. When they had received them Dr Millet called me in person and explained that he could definitely help me. So I made an appointment for a consolation.
I was concerned about having another surgery at 74 years old, but after meeting Dr Millett and his team, I had full confidence in them all. Dr Millett explained in great detail what they would do, and what I could expect. They decided I was a good candidate for a reverse shoulder replacement.
Everyone I met on his team could not have been more helpful, and personable, and extremely nice.
Now 5 months after having my new shoulder, I am back on my bike, and hitting the golf ball with full confidence, along with NO MORE PAIN.
Actually I have a hard time believing just how well it is after struggling for months with pain pills and being depressed not being able to do what I like doing.
I owe my new self to Dr Millett and his team.

I had shoulder surgery (rotator cuff) with Dr. Millett and his team on March 23, 2017. My shoulder is feeling great now (July) and my range of motion is almost back to normal. This team made me feel very welcome and comfortable. They are all genuinely nice down to earth people and they made my experience as best as could be. And of course they did a great job on my shoulder! They were responsive to my questions, and even squeezed me in the see Dr. Millett pre-surgery when I was driving through Vail on my way home from Moab. I have already recommended the team to a Colorado friend with shoulder problems.

Overpriced joke of an experience that provided zero answers and now refuses to offer any sort of follow up communication on 2nd MRI I was told to get and paid out of pocket for and has operator that has a piss poor do-nothing attitude when you call trying to find anything out, was lied to twice about messsges being sent to contact me, hung up on, and clearly mocked and toyed with on the phone. Spent a ton of money to fly to Colorado believing the hype and thinking this place was something special and paid them $750 just to be told to go home and get another MRI and they'll let someone else look at it, which I'm sure if I can ever get through to anyone, will want another $500 fee just for the privledge of speaking to them as well, even if they have no answers either. So far have spent over $1300 on visit and 2nd MRI only to be just as clueless on what's wrong with me as I was before going there. Large corporate style attitude where you are treated like an object, not a person. Told the operator I'd be leaving a review of how what was going on to which she laughed and said "you go ahead and do that". Wouldn't take these a-hole's "services" for free after being treated like this.
