It was the saddest shopping experience. I entered the store on State street after last visit estimate 10 months ago and the entire 1st floor redesigned a white and black background; atmosphere cold and non-imaginative. There was a separate security section for other renters in the building. I counted an average 4-5 that's 4 to 5 not 45 customers on each floor. I went to purchase jeans, selected 5 pairs and was told "all dressing rooms were shut down due to COVID-19, but there is an easy exchange process if I get them home and they don't fit." The deli restaurant was closed, unable to shop for their famous honey mustard chicken salad. I could have threw a brick in the store and not hit anyone. Best to purchase items online, no more satisfaction in shopping in person at Macy's. Best thing, if you use their credit card for purchases you get great rewards for future purchases. My visit was during the lunch hours 12:30-1:30 pm.

Marshall Field's is rolling in his grave right now. The building is in shambles, clothes thrown everywhere. Lines off the wazzoo. Wouldnt really go again except to see the christmas tree in the walnut room, but even then you cant see it because they closed the top few floors.

Indger was very friendly and professional. Took care of all my needs (gift box, tissue, gift receipt, looked up my coupons and discounts) and made my shopping experience a happy one. In other departments I felt ignored, shoe dept. for example. I I waited for someone to acknowledge me. The clerk was overly casually dressed IMHO. He retrieved the three pair I was interested in. I wear a 7 wide or 38 Euro, of which you have a limited selection. (BTW, people with wide feet like stylish shoes too.) The shoes didn't work for me but I liked the Keds baseball shoes and would've bought them for my DIL, but the clerk didn't come back so I left. Finally, the restroom I visited needed cleaning. I'm at the Marshall Field store now (visiting my home town from Colorado). Thank you for the opportunity to express myself.

Historic building with a lot of history to it. The store itself is big and sometime hard to find what you want even when you know what floor it's on. The staff there have been hit or miss. I had the best suit buying experience here, but other staff have been the opposite of helpful too.

I believe the employee at the State Street store who looked up my new Macy's card number for me wrote it down and then spent $2000 on it! Now I can't even get a hold of a live person or manager to make them aware. I am left to deal with the fraudulant charges with Macy's corporate. Paperwork, police reports, etc. Beware! Do not shop here!

Few shopper's buying today but store still feels like a ghost town! Music is too loud considering the variables. Like the renovations; room to move; bright lighting; and upscale products. Entrance on Washington is for the new rental offices called, 24 East Washington. Beautiful visually but not enough lighting to show off.

Nice store kind of like Kmart or Dillard's. If I was Trump I would have pulled my ties first. LOL
Sad place. Dying store. At Nordstrom's there is a hustle and bustle. This place feels like a morgue.

High end store with great variety of products and accessories. About the building itself.. loved the ceiling, the columns with the design on top, and the easy access from multiple doors facing the streets

Beauitiful store with a great variety of clothes. Would recomend going just to see how beautiful it really is. Prices are a little high but they do have a lot of sales that willl help the price go down.

This Macy's carries all the household items and brands. The make up counter is bigger than any other Macy's I've been to. They have a great last call selection on clearance items. This is my favorite Macy's. I take 1 star away because sometimes I have to go find someone to check out as there are not too many associates by the register.

Largest Macy's I've ever been to. Wide selection of clothes from casual to formal for both men and women. Very appreciative of the vast mens section (hard to find any more than a small section in other clothing stores in the area). Also a nice cafeteria area at the bottom with almost any kinds of foods you're craving. All in all a good rest stop for tourists or anybody exploring the downtown area.

I shop here from time to time. Usually on weekdays since it is a downtown location. There's plenty of discount items if you have it made the time to shop. The store is going though renovations so it's a bit of a challenge to navigate right now, many departments are closed but I'm general a good place to shop. No in store parking but they do validate your ok parking pass for the one across the street.

Good
