Sarah Shaffer Review of Macy's North/Marshall Field's

It was the saddest shopping experience. I entered the store on State street after last visit estimate 10 months ago and the entire 1st floor redesigned a white and black background; atmosphere cold and non-imaginative. There was a separate security section for other renters in the building. I counted an average 4-5 that's 4 to 5 not 45 customers on each floor. I went to purchase jeans, selected 5 pairs and was told "all dressing rooms were shut down due to COVID-19, but there is an easy exchange process if I get them home and they don't fit." The deli restaurant was closed, unable to shop for their famous honey mustard chicken salad. I could have threw a brick in the store and not hit anyone. Best to purchase items online, no more satisfaction in shopping in person at Macy's. Best thing, if you use their credit card for purchases you get great rewards for future purchases. My visit was during the lunch hours 12:30-1:30 pm.
