Building is historic but it is a mess due to poorly thought out and terribly executed renovations of the past few decades. Current construction gives a bit of hope but further negatively impacts the shopping experience. Rita in Fine Jewelry was a bright spot, love her!

I ordered clothes online that I loved but didn't fit. I went to their return desk and was in and out in 5 minutes. But really I just love being there, getting a book from Barbara's Bookstore, browsing around, getting fitted for a bra by a knowledgeable sales woman, finding a lovely pair of pajamas, and then getting a little bag of candy downstairs. It's a great place still. I hope people will stop shopping at mega-online places and get back to the service of great department stores. Macy's is great and I'd hate for it to be gone.

Second largest Macy's store in USA has lots of goodies for you. Guaranteed to melt your plastic! I love it.

Huge place. You can easily get lost. But they have everything. A real old-school department store

The Chicago Macy's is awesome. Go there during the holidays. It is so much fun to shop and listen to festive music to put you in the spirit not only of the season, but also to shop)). The sales are great, and if you are a frequent Macy's customer, do not forget to use your 'Macys Money'. Of course, you have to check out the jewelry department and find the 'Last Act' items to save money. I really enjoyed shopping there, you will too!

Huge store and great clothing selection with well known brands

Always to visit the downtown store-especially when its decorated for Christmas

I liked the store. It's very big, clean toilets. We find discounts on some products between 40 and 50 percent. The girl who treated us with bad attitude. Common designs and some exclusive ones.

The bedding collection , footwear and warm track pants and hoodies have plenty of good choices ,an excellent offer on small cusineart blender,grinders

Not a big selection from brand names like NorthFace or Underarmour it's more of a casual style clothing.

What an amazing experience! The store was well-organized and the Christmas display was nothing short of exceptional!

Wear a good pair pf walking shoes and be prepared to tackle seven floors of shopping!

A shell of it's former glory. The building and always will be beautiful, but the Macy house brands are cheap and ill fitting. This place is suitable for tourists, bargain hunters, and lovers of architecture, but that's it.

There's a ton of stuff in this Macy's, but I never find anything good. It has a food court and bathrooms on the bottom floor.

Disgusting bathrooms. Some stalls don't lock, others have no doors, some sinks amd soap dispensers don't work, holes in the wall, dirty stalls.

Good shopping center, where you find everything. When you go on sales times it is spectacular.

For my first time ever being there I just walked around with my husband. We tried to check out all their floors. The top floor had this big tree which had little models of Chicago around it. Very cool!

Store was kind of empty and sales personnel are scarce.

They have great sales get there early so you don't miss out

Beautiful store but the ladies at the MAC counter are so rude. I will not return to this location for my MAC.

Man, i usually hate big box stores but i love coming to this Macy's. I love going down to the candy store below, i love looking up through the rotunda at all the floors, i love the big open, airy feel throughout the store, and the ability to get lost. I love the nostalgia of coming here during Christmas. This is the only big box store i ever shop at.

Thank you all in the "Scents" Department. You helped my husband and I find the perfect scents for us. You were very attentive and patient. Thank you for helping to make our 27th anniversary very special.

The Walnut Room was wonderful, however the restroom accommodations were similar to a bus depot- very gross and unexpected!

Macy's, nee Marshall Fields Chicago, is an amazing place to shop for the best of everything for your home and wardrobe.

Most of my bricks and mortar shopping done here....pleasant atmosphere.

We went to Macy's for the flower show. We have been going for at least 5 years in a row because it is always beautiful. This year was disappointing. They did not have the show on the 9th floor as usual. It was just mainly the 1st floor and some little displays throughout the store. Although it was pretty it just was not up to the standard they had previously set.

It will, try but never be up to standards Marshall Field's was... or what London's, Selfridge's store is.

Nice place with lots of over except working WiFi, escalators! Talk about a buns of steel workout climbing all those floors! The elevators we're packed!

My wife bought some walking shoes here on our vacation. It needs updating in some areas ("en's Restroom"), but overall, it's a stunning building and a very good place to shop if you're in the downtown Chicago area. Good prices too. I was expecting much worse....

Old classic building. This is the site of the historic Marshal Fields building. 8 stories of shopping in the heart of downtown Chicago. The 2 stars are for the washroom. Clean your washrooms they are disgusting for such a fancy store. No baby changing stations, no toilet paper... those are easy fixes.

Love the Marshall Fields display and the Xmas area.

I was able to visit lots of department stores but Macy's has always been my favorite and who would not love them with their way of handling customers, presenting their products ( all the branded names, shoes, bags, clothes, etc ) are well arranged and not to mention their nice location with really good atmosphere. The first time I came here, I know this place has lots to offer.

So many floors and so many clothes to look at. Lots of great designer brands and many deals to be found. This is a great Macy's store with a gorgeous ceiling on the top floor, a historical must see. A delicious place to grab lunch on the seventh floor with many choices from tacos, to burgers, to soup, and salad, etc. Or go upscale and eat at the Walnut Room. Always first class, great service and delicious food!

The Santa experience was amazing. Fast, efficient without rushing the families.

I wish to thank Anysa, or Aneesa, who helped my father and me when he was having extreme difficulty walking in the Men's Department. She worked graciously with me to finish up purchases and assisted both of us with kindness as we walked together to the elevator and then found a chair. She went above and beyond with customer service and I will always be grateful. I will make Macy's a go-to destination in the city.

Macy's has a wonderful atmosphere for anything you need in yourself.

Visited the wine section of Macy's today. Our customer representative who I believe was named Victor was a great help. He was very knowledgeable about the products and was polite and pleasant to talk with. Five stars for the customer service here today.

I went to benefit cosmetics and the provided me with excellent customer service.

Even though it's size is a little disorienting, this is best department store in downtown Chicago. I received great service, a lot of variety & worthwhile discounts.
