Lots of merchandise on display to choose from. It's right in the heart of the City.
Just to look for jbl charge 4 and I got it right now. Thanks a lot I found what I need for long time ago. Beautiful speaker and great song. It's perfect
Love Macy's at State Street!!!! They have a lot of clearance on clothes! Love going there and getting the deals!!!!
Everyone at the Fur Vault is a dear. Going there for years: purchases, storage, cleaning & repairs, appraisals, redesign of older coats. Will miss everyone after 2020.
Enormous Macy s in downtown Chicago. This Macy s on State St. in downtown Chicago is a huge maze of shopping. We specifically walked from our hotel to visit this Macy s on a chilly day; it wasn t too hard to find, as it takes up a whole city block. The outdoor signage and condition of the exterior were a little lacking and, in general, the facility looks a little worn inside and out. However, the store is indeed floors upon floors of shopping with a wide scope of offerings and brands that should satisfy most department store shopping needs. It s so large, it can be kind of a maze to navigate, and the signage indoors is also lacking. If you need to find a specific department/brand or even the restroom, it s best to ask one of the staff. The staff overall were decent although we had encounters with staff who were less than helpful. In one instance, we tried to get the attention of a group of staff who were chit-chatting loudly and not paying attention to the customers. In another instance, we asked for directions to a restroom and got bad directions. The selection and prices were very good. The store features many bargains, some in large mark-down areas and some dotted throughout the departments, which can satisfy the bargain shoppers who enjoy the hunt for gold. The fitting rooms were clean but lacked the reject clothing racks in the common areas that you d expect in a large department store. On our visit, some floors of the store were very cold requiring us to wear our coats; I think they were replacing windows, which is a baffling thing to do in the cold Chicago weather on a busy weekend shopping day. Overall, this is a good department store to find what you re looking for, maybe even at an especially great bargain or unique item, but this Macy s is definitely rough at the edges in areas of service and facility.
I really like this location because it s historical and because of how pretty the building is but that s pretty much the main reason why I like this place. The stores customer service is so so and not that bad however I had the worst experience ever tonight at Mac. The Asian lady who works there had terrible customers service skills and didn t seem to be into her job at all. I worked cosmetics jobs three years in a row at Dillard s Macy s and Sephora and know how to treat customers even when I didn t feel like working. If you don t like your job quit because a lot of us wish we could work for Mac and tried but never got hired. No idea how this lady got hired on there. She didn t seem to want to help me find a foundation at all and it came off as if it was a chore and not her job. They didn t have the foundation anyways that matched me and she told me to go to the mag mile store to see if they had it since I needed it ASAP. Even if they did have it tho I would not have bought it because the service was that bad. I went to the mag mile store and the customer service at that Mac counter was above and beyond! Like night and day. Do yourself a favor and go to a place where the people are cheerful even when they have to work on Black Friday.
Took 45 minutes to get waited on in both fine and costume; clerk took me to manager and his reply"what do you want me to do?" This is why people buy on line and cities like Chicago will be ghost towns; no more beautiful Michigan Avenues. Living in the city, I always try to shop in the stores to support??????
Even if you are not going to buy anything, this old building is worth a walkthrough. Just make sure to look up.
I work there it s an alright place to shop and Eat.
The in-store sales people are clueless about sales, promotions etc. You have to argue with them! Always bring a copy of an ad with you.
When I was walking around the Chicago streets this place was one of very few places that caught my selective eyes. The style, the selection, the prices, all made this store an appreciation to me.
Just like other Macy stores, you can find what you want here.
This place has everything you need for gifts for the holiday season.
They have huge selections to choose from and the staff were very helpful & friendly. The location is easily accessible by public transportation.
The prices might be a bit expensive but they have good deals with their very own credit cards and occasional sales.
I highly recommend this place if you want buy something, whether you already have something in mind or if you haven't decided exactly what to get. They have so many options to choose from.
Macys has so many quality clothes. They have friendly service and really want to help you. They also always have deals going on.
Went during flower show. Beautifully decorated. Awesome architecture.
The Macy's has everything you could want all under one roof.
Great store, the restaurant had brilliant food and wonderful staff
Felt sad as there is low staffing to help find things or at registers to ring us up and no music in the store. It comes across as if Macy s has thrown in the towel and plans on closing. :(
Went to this store yesterday to return a pair of sunglasses at Sunglass Hut. The salesperson Alli was so rude. She refused to let me return the glasses stating I had worn them. I had just purchased them 3 days prior and they were never taken out of the bag. I had my receipt but still could not get a refund. I asked for a manager and she said there was no managers on duty and I would have to call back next week. She stated there was a scratch on them but failed to show me where it was. I spent $350 on the glasses and I will NEVER purchase anything from Sunglass Hut again.
A nice place and easy to get there. The price is more expensive compared to others stores in State Street. There is not a lage variety of products. It is better going to the Macy in Michigan.
I enjoy shopping at Macy's. A wide range of items and price points. Customer service tends to be excellent most of the time.
Customer service is not what it use to be. Perhaps it was just the seasonal help(I assume) I encountered. Store is nice, I feel like they have gone to more house brands that aren't always of the best quality.
Loved all the different types of displays of Beautiful Flower arrangements.
This place has artificial sales. Prices are set higher so that you get a discount and think you received a deal. Stay away and just shop at other stores.
Slowly destroying everything that made Marshall Fields great.
Took me like 5 mins to find someone to ring me out!
Macy's on State Street is the old flagship Marshall Field's & Co. main store in Chicago. Once Macy's took over it the quality of departments ranging from design for Christmas in the lobby level and the Walnut Room along with the window displays all went down hill! The store isn't as cohesive as it once was. It's a shell of its former glory. I wish that Macy's didn't take over the store at all. With that being said you can still walk the exterior of the store and see several architectural masterpieces such as the clock. Worth the time to walk past and see the glory of the old store.
Went for a watch, the representative was very rude. Also, took the tag of the watch.
Honestly, going into Macy's just makes me sad. It is no Marhsall Fields, that's for sure. It is an uninspired department store, and I'd take Nordstrom's any day over Macy's.
The store was quite dirty and the customer service was very bad and careless.
Lunch at the Walnut Room is a great holiday tradition.
Once there was Marshall Field, a huge department store on State Street. Today it became Macy's.
It is very worthwhile to go in and see Tiffany's skullcap in the shop. We begin to start decorating for the holidays. The display windows are covered with fabrics, because they too are getting ready.
In the early days of his Chicago dog. He became especially popular for meetings. Then they left notes on the stones. I was there and you did not come. So for the meetings they put a big clock in the corner.
There is a good restaurant on the seventh floor.
And there is also a dining floor downstairs. It is sold at a cheap price. A very fashionable store, a variety of top designers, and you can still find bargains.
Macy's is always great. One of favorite places to shop.
A huge Macy's store in the venerable Marshall Fields building. This is Iconic Chicago. Easy access from the red line El stop Underground makes getting in and out a breeze.
Bring help, you're going to need it to carry all of your bags.
This location is great. Staff is great. Selection is great. I've never been disappointed.
Use to be Fields but now Macy's. Still feels the same.
State st
Great sales
Better Macy's than New York. Also, you MUST visit the candy area in the lower level. Awesome shopping experience.
The Resturant... Its Very Cheap But Extreme Quality! Keep It Up! :D
The most beautiful shop I ever visited! There are many floors, better to take the time to visit! Inside the store you can eat yogurt with cereals and fruits!
38 dollars for short term parking reduced to 35 with your Macys validation piss poor parking
This store is massive. It has a ton of brands from cheap to high end. From perfumes and chocolates to rugs and beds. The store is clean and the Christmas displays are excellent. They have good customer service, for the most part. Every so often you'll come across a bad apple, but don't let that keep you away. This is a one stop shop for almost anything you need to buy.
This Macy's is amazing! First of all it's huge, literally will take you all day to get through the several floors of different departments. Secondly, the store is clean and well organized. Finally, don't forget to look up at the famous Tiffany ceiling!!
Wow $695 for a 4 piece cooking pot set on sale ... $660 for a carry on luggage with wheels and handle ... $8 for smoothie ... Delicious ... If I had $$$ to shop like rich and famous I still wouldn't smoothie was impulse buy and I make $80k a year
This is my favorite department store of anywhere. The selections are just amazing and go on and on. Every brand you can think of. I did wish they stocked a bit more hurley and quicksilver but we are in the Midwest. The staff here are fabulous. If you need a suit go ask for Derrick. Easy to get in and out of. Super convenient right off the red and blue line. Love this macy's
