It has been about 4 months since I had my eyes done and I am so grateful to everyone at the clinic. It was so easy and basically painless and has already made a huge difference to my life.
I had thought about laser for a while and whilst I was furloughed I took the opportunity to contact the clinic about actually getting it done. My initial appointments were great and the staff were very helpful answering any questions I had. There was no pressure to make decisions and I never felt rushed or unwanted. Every question was answered patiently and clearly.
The procedure itself took about 10 minutes and was practically painless, I rested after it until my 24 hour follow-up appointment and then was cleared for almost all regular activities. I restarted work about 4 days later and it was completely fine even though I stare at a screen for much of the day.
It took a few days to get used to being able to see but it has been incredible to have 20/20 vision. I still use lubricating drops periodically but mostly as a precaution when using the tube rather than out of necessity.
Thoroughly recommend SMILE (the laser surgery I had) and the clinic has been and continues to be incredibly easy to deal with.
