They treated my toddler, sure. They stitched up a wound in her hand, but they also waited until three hours after applying lidocaine on a cotton swab to actually do the stitches. I do understand that in an ER they do follow triage procedure, but my baby felt the last two stitches and screamed her head off. The doctor and nurse did absolutely nothing to alleviate my child's pain and refused to do anything when I asked. While they did treat my child, they refused to make sure she was comfortable during the procedure. This would never have happened to an adult.

I was in Las Colinas MC for 6 days and they have the best care ever. I thanked them for being thorough in explaining everything to me I am thankful as well as my family. I would recommend this place to anyone.
So called postpartum VIP suite is useless and waste of money. Expect Dirty appliances with leftovers food, Used sheets n blankets in cabinets and no services of suite supplies.
Medical City Las Colinas is a hospital which is Dallas' best kept secret. Nothing but 5 star care and 5 star caregivers/employees. There isn't anyone who chooses to be hospitalized, but it is such a blessing to feel as if you are home being cared for by family members. I was sharing with the Director, Shiney Shaji, that I'm not only grateful for them saving my life but I'm grateful for how gently, gingerly, and genuinely cared for me. This kind of experience is priceless. Money can never pay for beautiful hearts and soft hands. From the emergency room to being admitted, I felt nothing but pure concern and determination to save my life. I felt the care. I felt the concern. I felt the love. I remember the first touch of support from Tori Wilson. affectionately known as the "Stroke Doctor." Things went black for me in the ER so I can only say thank you to all of those who filled the room to save me. When I got to the floor, God sent angels in nurses like Mamatha and her tech Erin (who had to care for me in my worst state). I wasn't easy to deal with because I was in very poor shape, but even as I vomited and needed a million things they were always gracious. Mariah, another God send, patiently walked a million miles as I began to recover and awaken. I asked her for everything under the sun as I struggled in my pain and frustration. Mariah hung in there with me through it all and we basically became besties. Rachna, my MRI tech, is amazing. I am claustrophobic so she gave me the coolest eye covering, walked me through each level of the process. Then as we talked we realized we like the same Indian food, same movies from India, and a thousand other things. I'm so grateful for her kindness. There are so many names, I could write a book--Erin, Brandi, Angel, Ashley, Ebonie and a host of others. I will never be able to thank each of you that I get to live another day and share life with my family. You guys are true heroes. Thank you, Medical City. All My Heart, Wednesday Erica Jackson...
We read about this place online and the reviews, we were not disappointed! The staff for Dr. Sakovich is amazing! They are always so welcoming and nice to us every time we go! The doctor is amazing and always answers any questions we have regarding our first pregnancy! 5
I had sugery last week, everyone I met was friendly and surgery went well. But lately I come to ER painful , crying but the receptionist was not professional, not welcoming not friendly talking badly and they received me after 2 hours. So sad
- 5 stars Yesterday I was at the ER and had what I recall the worse experience ever, I was placed in a room with 3 other patients not only did they know what was going on with me but also I believe my HIPPA was violated. Supposedly it was temporary but I shared a room with 3 strangers that I had no idea who they were but I was able to find out why they were at the hospital. Irene a lady with curly hair kept reassuring it was temporary but honestly you could tell she was acting like a person on drugs ( God Bless the Hearts of her co workers) I m very unsatisfied with the service, you only seemed to care about putting us the patients anywhere as long as we hd a place to sit
My experience at this hospital was amazing. The wait time was short. The staff treated me with such respect. They showed concern and listened to me attentively. I would highly recommend this hospital.
DON'T GO HERE! Went in for what I thought was a gale bladder issue, was an up set stomach and they charged me over $6000 for 45 minutes and 1 test. How is that justified?
Medical City Las Colinas is the best hospital I've visited! Top A-1 service on every visit. I definitely recommend this hospital. Keep up the good work...
The care and service was excellent! The providers were very attentive and pleasant. I would gladly come back to this facility for health care in the future.
I had a great experience visiting the Medical City ER Las Colinas. They made me feel at ease and they were quick, professional and on top of everything. Being a smaller ER, I was lucky there was not much of a wait as well.
Staff here is great. We had our first baby here and the staff went above and beyond making sure we felt that comfortable and that our kid was healthy. Would recommend
Las Colinas Hospital has been Amazing!! My Girlfriend was admitted threw the ER for 5 days and every nurse, doctor, tech, food ect... has been so nice and helpful. I stayed with her for the 5 days and they even asked me if I needed anything. Just all around it was a good stay considering. Thank you to EVERYONE @ Las Colinas Medical Center.
I do love this hospital! Is a great place and all the staff are awesome! I really was so happy to gave a birth my baby girl here. Thanks Medical City at Las Colinas.
THIS WAS THE WORST VISIT IN AN ER I HAVE EVER HAD. I NEVER GOT A ROOM AND NEVER SAW A DOCTOR. I BET THEY TRY TO CHARGE ME FOR IT. GOOD LUCK GETTING IT!!!! I GAVE IT A 1 STAR ONLY BECAUSE IT WOULDNT LET ME GIVE IT 0 STARS.
What ever it is, do not go here! I came here because around 2 AM, I had very bad pain. Before checking in, I asked to review my first and secondary insurance, 2 people confirmed that I was covered. I was there for 2 hours and the doctors gave me an shot. It did nothing to my pain and I came back next day, again I asked the same 2 people to double check my insurance, and they assured me that it was all covered. I was there for about an hour, and they gave 2 shots. A little over a month ago, I received many different bills for over $1000 dollars, and the total that my first insurance paid $13,000.00 dollars. I called many times and told them that this was a mistake, that I had requested to verify my insurance before checking in, and described the person who told me all was fine. They said they made a mistake and that I needed to pay. I got to talk to some in charge (I will no say her name here) and she promised me to work on it because she understood. Next I'm being harassed by the collection companies and the person talking to me about the problem is no longer working there. I got another person who told me she was going to talk to the director of the hospital, soon she came back and told me that he was not willing to work with me. It's not my fault that they have people that are not well trained and gave me the wrong information. I will be posting this to all so that no one will have to go pay for your mistakes.
I ve been going to the Rehabilitation Institute for a few weeks now to recover mobility in my broken wrist. My therapist is Rauna and she s done such a great job, it is almost as good as new! I highly recommend Physical Therapy when it is offered!
While I applaud the low wait times and quick and attentive staff every time I have been there, their billing and insurance department is the definition of incompetent. Over a year and a half later after a surgery, they decide to submit a second bill to me and then refuse to call back my insurance provider in regards to why these charges have been sent after all bills were paid in full over a year ago. Now it s been 3+ months of my insurance not getting anyone to connect. Seriously, we are almost two years past the surgery and they simply don t care to help and are quick to want to ruin their patients financial well being in the process. I hope they get their act together, but it looks like a letter to the board of insurance and president of the hospital may be our next steps as this is clearly a fixable communication and operational problem post medical service. Shame, because the doctors and nurses are very attentive and kind.
Had to wait 6 hours before a room in the hospital was available following my surgery??? Everyone was very polite. Also, was contacted 4-5 days prior to surgery by the billing department to pay my portion of the cost. Caught off guard, I paid the amount they told me on my credit card only to find out the next day that I was overcharged $2700. Complained for the next several days until finally getting my refund. Very frustrating experience.
I had a 4 cm gash on my scalp and gotten 8 staples. I was in and out within 45 minutes on a Friday night. Registration, Nurses and the Dr was great. Although, I did wish I was provided some pain numbing beforehand. The staple process was slow and very pain full. I was Tested for signs of concussion, and the Dr cleared me good to go.
Following back into work, I found it very difficult to do the simple things. I got input from coworkers insisting me to get a 2nd opinion on my injury. I chose to follow up with my Family Care. He believed that I should not have been cleared for work and follow up with a CT scan for a more in depth look. He was very concerned for minor concussion and complained how He thinks Medical City didn't do as much as they could have done to better help me. I cant help but to only agree, I was nervous and felt My family Care provided more help.
What a bunch off corrupt blood suckers. My wife had an outpatient surgery at this hospital. She was only there for about 5 hours., we get a bill in the mail for over $30,000! Over $12,000 just for a few screws and two small plates, they billed us $800 for just one screw! I found that same screw for sale online from a medical supply wholesaler for $30.These people must be on crack!
This is a wonderful hospital with excellent staff. I went in for a hysterectomy. In the recovery area there was a very unruly patient. The nurses were very patient with him and very apologetic to me regarding his disturbances. When I got to my room, the nurses were very nice, attentive, and helpful. My nurses were Taylor and Rhonda. Both were great to me. Also, I noticed my phone was accidentally broken during my transport. The nurses took it upon themselves to report it and make it right. The director of the women's area was also a great help with this. With regards to the building, the room and facility are extremely clean. Lastly, the food is very good. Overall excellent experience. Thank you to all my nurses and staff!
I stayed inpatient from 2/4-2/7 at MCLC following a kidney removal, and I have to say that I received possibly the best surgical and post-surgical care I have ever received. Every single person that cared for me was stellar. I highly recommend this facility. I cannot speak to the quality of food because of clear liquid diet
I was taken over 10 miles to LasColinas against my will after asking to be taken to Dallas Medical for hyperventilation. I was in Farmers Branch, Dallas Medical was less than one mile away. I told the attendant I had no insurance and was there for observation only. I paid 200 dollars I borrowed from my daughter and the hospital said they would file any bill on Medicaid. They are now attacking my credit history and have me in collections for procedures and money I have no Idea about and was not told about. Any attempt to contact them goes unanswered as they are unconcerned. Make of this review what you will but ask questions and pay attention.
All the staff members and nurses that took care of me and my newborn at women s center were awesome! Very caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. Thank you for the excellent care we received during our stay!
It was good service. Not to bad ! No one in the wait area which is surprising this is the first time I've visited a Texas hospital I'm fairly new and I expected the waiting room to be packed out but it wasn't. The nurse and PA were awesome.
I recently delivered my second child at Las Colinas (repeat customer). I had a scheduled c section. From the second I checked in, until discharge, I was impressed with everything.
Everybody was very welcoming and approachable. My doctor, Dr. Ellis was wonderful (I would highly recommend her, or anybody in her office, to anybody). My labor and delivery nurse, Iris and her orientee, were both outstanding and made me feel at ease. The nursery nurse, Ashley, was in the delivery and always kept me informed on everything she was doing. She was wonderful! I was very fortunate to have her as my sons nurse everyday I was there. The supervisor of the NICU, Brandon, came to check on us and make sure our stay was going well.
After recovery, I was brought to my room. The entire staff explained everything to me along the way which was great. My room was extremely clean and the housekeeping department made a great job making sure it was cleaned everyday. Maggie was wonderful. My postpartum nurses were all so great! I apologize not having all of their names, there was a lot going on. The lactation department was phenomenal. They were so knowledgeable and available whenever I needed them. My night nursery nurse, Jordan, was the best!! She put my mind at ease during the night so I could sleep for a little bit. Another nursery nurse that deserves recognition is Megan. She discharged us and was awesome!
The food, the cleanliness, and the staff were all top notch. I would highly recommend this hospital for anybody having a baby.
The midwife and nurses that helped me through labor and delivery were absolutely fantastic! They were patient, and helped me stick to my birth plan even when I tried to quit. However, the tech that was in charge of weighing and evaluating my baby immediately after birth very much upset my husband and myself by refusing to let him take pictures of her until after she was done cleaning her, about 25 minutes later. We lost that chance to save that memory of her, and were greatly disappointed. Overall facilities and staff were great. Food was a little lacking in quality, but not inedible.
This emergency unit is well run. The admitting/triage nurse was friendly and so capable. The doctor was compassionate and they took care of me quickly and very well!
I was admitted within minutes of arriving. Never even sat in the ER. They were extremely efficient and thorough. I cannot say enough about the staff and Dr's. I am new to Texas and it was the closest hospital but it will be our go to hospital from now on. The nurses and staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and pain free. And the food is second to none.
My husband rushed me to the Hospital with gut wrenching pain on the 27th. Once I was seen they discovered the source of the pain and an infection. I was promptly admitted. Over the next two days the staff took exceptional care of me. It was by far the best hospital stay I have ever experienced. The only issue I had was the kitchen did not know how to feed a vegan.
Everyone here is so nice. The emergency nurses are outstanding. The doctors are very caring. Everytime I have visited this hospital through out the year's for any reason the staff here are so very nice.
Great hospitality, doctors and nurses treated very well. Highly recommend this hospital. Hospital staff is very nice and helpful. Very good and friendly hospital environment.
I waited over an hour, everyone that came in passed me. I go to ask the lady why she hasn t called me she tells me she LOST MY paperwork! Mind you this paper had my personal information on it! When I asked her again after they finally called me back she said oh idk I lost it or maybe it s in there and points to some machine. I have lived in the area for years and came to this hospital b4 the name change MANY TIMES! But this is unacceptable!!! & for her to not care like this is normal!? I understand that they are under construction but that is no excuse. I feel like they are overwhelmed, don t have space and we the ppl with EMERGENCIES suffer.
My encounters with Med City Las Colinas began in the ER following a car accident and then went on to follow up surgery 2 weeks later was phenomenal. The admin and medical staff are sincere and genuine. I honestly felt a personal connection to each of the admin staff during pre op which put my mind at ease. Thank you for being efficient, kind, caring and human. It does make a difference.
If I need any type of emergency care I will drive a thousand miles just to go here. I love that they make you feel like a priority and do everything possible to make you comfortable and feeling better the best they can. I have NEVER had a bad experience here and will not go anywhere else nor will I take my family anywhere else. BETTER THAN BAYLOR BY A MILLION!
Terrible! I should have paid attention to the reviews. I had labs today at a different facility and it felt like he phlebotomist hit a nerve (it felt like an electric shock with pain and tingling) I visited the MedCity ER. The admitting rep took forever to acknowledge me. The doctor took less than five minutes with me. And 30 minutes later, an RN gave me an aspirin and told me that feeling is completely normal . I ve had cancer and several surgeries; that feeling is NOT normal. I m scheduling an appointment with my PCP tomorrow. This place is ridiculous.
Went into the emergency room with extreme pain in my adomon and blood in my urine. After several test they told me I had food poisoning and sent me home. They seemed more concerned about not giving me pain meds than care. The next day my situation worsen. Had to call an ambulance because I could not drive. Turned out I had pancreatitis among several other infections and I have been hospitalized for several days now. The care that I am under now stated to me that if i had this go on any longer I could lose my life. Needless to say I will never return to that hospital or any other medical city branch. Very poor care.
5 stars doesn t feel like enough to describe my experience here. I delivered my baby here on 1/22/19. Every single employee I came in contact with was absolutely amazing. Every nurse, doctor , lactation consultant, and housekeeper treated me like a queen. My nurses even had me laughing as I was being wheeled to the OR for an unexpected C-section. I wish I could remember their names! They comforted me in one of the most emotional times in my life. I can t thank them enough. I drove to this hospital from Waxahachie and it was absolutely worth it. If I have more children in the future I will make sure they are born here!
I was skeptical about coming here due to the bad reviews. However,it was the closest hospital near me so I took a chance. I waited less than 30 mins in the ER to get called back. Once I was in the room, the doctor was the first person who came in to see me. I explained the pain that I was experiencing, and he immediately ordered fluid and pain meds for me. About 2 hrs later I had taken a CT scan and received the results. I ended up being admitted to the hospital for 5 days due to meningitis. I can honestly say that my visit was great. Every nurse or doctor that I seen I was very polite, professional, and easy to talk to. They took very good care of me from the moment I walked in the door. It was a wonderful experience and I'm so happy that I ignored the negative reviews. If I ever get sick again, I will definitely come back.
I was very pleased with the nursing staff. They were very personable compassionate and understanding. I can't say anything bad about any of the staff. All the way down to the food servers...it was amazing
My Experience was not good the nurses couldn't take my blood they stuck me 6 times still couldnt take my blood so the pheblemist had to take it and they sent me home with and iv tube lefted in my arm got home and noticed it was still there took it out abd blood was all over my shirt
This hospital was great when I had my son 4 years ago and it was Las Colinas medical center. This time around for my delivery they charged me emergency room fees and extra fees that I was never charged before (I had a natural delivery and never went to the ER EVER and stayed at the hospital for a total of only 30 hours). They tried to charge me for products I never got or double charge me for things they gave me and got left in the first room before they moved me to my recovery room. I am very upset and no one seems to even be trying to help me when I call they just keep sending bills after I ve disputed the charges multiple times. Theyve billed my insurance for every fee they could have too. All they want is your money and that s sad. It really makes the experience so bad after delivering my son.
Thank you so much for the staff. Not a day goes by where I don t remember how caring the nurses are. They took care of me like my own mother would do.
I regret everyday thinking why was I not able to give them anything in return. Maybe my review will help. We do not have anyone with us here it s just me and my husband. But, the hospital staff never made me feel alone. They helped a lot with my delivery and postpartum.
Even in this COVID situation and hard times they were very careful and helpful. Thank you so much. God bless.
Only spent an hr in the er.... Was very rushed Because of trumas. They forgot my meds i was crying in pain. They diagnosed me with bronchitis and a upper respiratory infection after a xray. Went home and literally did not do anything but throw up and sleep
A day and a half ago- I was at the ER and had what I recall to be the worse experience ever had there! I do thank you for serving my child first. I now have to tell our nightmare. My child has the flu. I took her to this ER because she was having a lot of body pain and discomfort. She never saw the inside of a room all the houre we were there. Call my childs name took vitals back out to the cold waiting room. Call my childs name to talk about her symptons and back to cold waiting room. Call my childs name again, hours 2 and half have past off to take X-Ray's and back out to cold waiting room to wait another 45 to an hour for results. I understand their renovating but this is just a terrible visit to their ER. As Coraline said " I wont be back at least I hope not.
At age 62 this is the first time I have ever been admitted to a hospital. If you have to be in the hospital, this is the place to be. I spent 6 days there and from my excellent Dr. Patel to every one of the staff you felt confident that they really cared about you. And yes, even the food was good.
The staff is absolutely great, from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out with your newborn. It was the best experience. I want to have my 4th baby now just to go back, yes that's how good this hospital is. Thank you Dr. Chessir for delivering my baby boy Kaynan Ray. Special thanks to the chef! the food is delicious!!!!
If you can avoid it please do not visit this emergency room. I went there a few months ago and waited in the emergency room for 3 hours. I wasn't given any treatment or services, after waiting for hours and not being seen I was frustrated and wanted to go home. I asked the nurse if i could leave without a charge. She said she would take my name off the list and would be no charge. I left and couple weeks later I was sent a bill for over $200. I have disputed this amount and the medical center has not tried to help!! Poor service. This is a way for them to make money for no given services.!! Highly unsatisfied.
My first experience in this hospital since the reception staff arrived, very pushy, zero professionalism, zero friendliness and customer service. I will look for another place to have my baby I cannot feel confident with people who do not know how to serve and do their job !!
I have had lab, x ray and pulmonary tests at medical city. All were handled quickly, professionally, and with the upmost care. All of the employees were exceptional and friendly. I have never had better care.
The supporting staff was very kind and professional. The treating doctor was to distracted to properly treat me. The treating doctor ordered a full IV drip and gave me oral medications. I drink two 8 ounce cups of water. Then the treating doctor order a urine test that he stated was clear of blood. The treating doctors written documents stated my urine test had blood in the test sample. I spent 4 hours of my life to get contradictory information. I will located a specialist in the morning. Sick peoples, people in need of quality urgent care beware!
My visit and experience at Medical City was EXCEPTIONAL. THE ENTIRE staff was friendly, courteous, professional, and kind. Even the nurse that cleared me for Covid was exceptional! Medical City Las Colinas has the BEST STAFF of professionals that I have ever worked with.THANK YOU!.
ER is very slow in everything. Starting from checking in till giving out discharge summary. I have visited ER 4 times since 2016 and every time I end up spending 5 hrs. after everything is done and doctor confirmed to go then I have to wait for 1 hr for the paper work to finish. Each time I faced similar issues. But still one star for the care provided which is good.
Came into the emergency room for concerns about my baby they did nothing but check my blood pressure and sent me home telling me they weren t going to run any tests because none of the doctors were my assigned OB and they couldn t help me and I actually have insurance so there is no reason they shouldn t have been able to at least run tests This isn t even my first bad experience with them I ve came across some very ignorant/rude nurses that like to make snod comments they seem to have more concern for those who don t even have insurance
If there is less than one star to rate it I would rate it a zero star . not professional , from the doctor to the nurses, one of the nurses did not even read the order from z doctor and she wants to give an IV, just for the sake of giving it , after the doctor has prescribed the medicine and ask us to wait for 10 min, the nurse show up and after 40 minutes stating that inaccurately put the medicine together because the doctor ordered it wrong, and the lady who took the insurance with driver license , after finishing and we were leaving i asked her a question and she turned her head to continue her chat with a colleague without answering me. bottom line: go to another emergency ur better off, the lady in the front desk is the one whose good and gentle.
I had intensive sugery here for the first time ever in my life. My experience was wonderful from when I first check in front desk was so polite he noticed I was alone and scared and with just a few words he put me at ease. After surgery my stay was nothing but of excellent care. I'd like to say thank you to nurse Maryland, Sherry and of course Dr. Beltran. Thank you again for making this very scary situation into an apriciated one and finally given me releaf to my pain. Thank you again to all. Happy holidays and God bless everyone
Be prepared to be scammed by their billing department. They will charge you for things they NEVER performed, and then mark it up 10x the market value. And when you dispute those charges, following the exact process they give you, they will still screw you for THEIR mistakes by deciding to send those disputed charges to a collections agency without addressing your formal dispute. And every time you try to call their billing department to get the status of your dispute, it will go to the collections agency that will tell you that you need to work it out with the billing department that you can no longer get a hold of.
My outpatient surgery went well except I got uvula necrosis from intubation and developed secondary infection on my throat 5 days later. The sustained throat pain was so overwhelming to say the least.
Worst part of delivering a baby is apparently dealing with the staff of the emergency room and postpartum.
There seemed to be no sort of procedures for the doctors or staff and anytime there was a shift change or we had to see another doctor things were handled horribly and led to more pain for my wife.
Worst ER in the world! I went there for severe abdominal pain. There was no wait time, and that was good. I told them that I had been vomiting, and this quack Dr. Kennedy, insisted on giving me oral medication. He was listening to me throwing up the Tylenol, and wanting to give me motrin. I'm allergic to NSAIDS. I told him that, and he proceeded to point his finger in my face and call me a liar, and a drug addict. I confronted him about a medication that he gave me, that made me severely sick, and he called me a liar again. Guess what? I have the proof that he prescribed it to me. The nurses were great, but Quack Dr. Kennedy needs to go. He's lucky my husband didn't hear him talk that way to me, or he would have needed drugs. Las Colinas can and should provide better than that.
