Tuesday was a scary day. I saw how quickly bad things can happen and there s not much anyone could do about it. I also quickly learned how important it is when you get a neck/spinal injury to just lay there and not try and get up. Around 12 that afternoon, I fell during cheer on my neck/ head/ and back. I was quickly bombarded by my coach and teammates and soon after by trainers. And from there I was rushed to the hospital in a neck brace. I got there around 1ish and was treated immediately by the @medicalcitylascolinas staff. They treated me with such care and made me feel as comfortable as I could in that situation. They were all super kind and made me feel like I was a part of their family all while we awaited my X-ray, cat scan, and blood test results. After waiting an hour or two, I finally got the results back and they all came back negative. I have never thanked God more for watching out for me in this situation that could have changed my life forever. However, I didn t walk away unscathed. I do have a minor concussion and sprained quite a few of my muscles so I probably won t be back until Friday. But the doctor said I could start cheering and stunting again in my own time and has cleared me. Thanks again to everyone who checked up on me and to the nurses, doctors, and staff at medical city las Colinas.

I had day surgery with a general anesthetic. Everyone I encountered was extremely helpful, friendly, and positive. Hope not to have any surgery again, but I would certainly choose Medical City Las Colinas again.

I went here because I have to deliver here since my OB only takes this place. Anyways, I was having extreme pain and haven't felt my baby kick in 4 days (she's always kicking) so I came because I was advised too by the OB's nurse. Once I got here, I had a nurse say that I shouldn't feel my baby kick or move at 21 weeks but at 22 weeks. (Wow just a week away). Basically stating that I'm lying. 2nd she has was pressing extremely hard on my stomach and saw that I was flinching and even my boyfriend was getting angry because of how hard she was pressing. Overall, the whole time she was rude, it's basically like they wanted me to get out as fast as possible. Especially seeing these reviews, y'all just need to get it together and have more patience. I understand you have to be there for a long period of time, but almost everyone has a job, and if you can't have patience, then why are you even working there. It's a hospital, you need patience. If not, look somewhere else.

I went into the ER for earache and hearing loss a few days ago to see what was wrong i of course didn't feel well due to the pain but I had a poor experience here overall the nurse who was checking me when I first come in was very rude and dismissive of everything I told her that was wrong cutting me off while I was talking trying to explain my problem to her and the whole time at the ER the nurses who treated me were very rude my nurse asked my date of birth I told her exactly and so when she got my age wrong I told her that it wasn't right yet rather than her being polite and just correcting the minor issue she she popped off at me and got defensive not only was she rude and uncaring she had a nasty attitude I honestly wanted to leave . If you're going to be a nurse and taking care of sick people you shouldn't be hateful and rude to your patients they go there to be treated with respect and kindness and for your care that's your job to care for people if your not going to be even the slightest bit of caring or kind then why be a nurse

I gave birth there last week on December 02, 2020 and it was my first childbirth. I was very nervous and anxious. But the doctor and the nurses were great. I felt so safe and reassured. nurses are always listening and ready to help. I really appreciated the level of professionalism. Even the lady who took care of the food delivery was friendly.

I delivered my son here recently and I had a great experience with the labor and delivery staff. Dr Joshipura, Melissa the midwife and the nurses (Elaiane, Jasmine, Michelle, Brendy, Karen, Sunflower...) were very kind and compassionate and I cannot thank them enough for the quality of care I received while there. The anesthesiologist who was on call was very timely and knowledgeable as well. Overall I was very pleased with my experience and would totally recommend delivering at Medical City Las Colinas!

Second time delivering here. Both times my experience was fantastic, from the check in front desk, my nurses/MA and of course my doctor are amazing. No complaints. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating.

We were pretty satisfied with the nursing staff during our emergency visit to the hospital. When we returned for physical therapy, we felt disrespected, rushed, and discouraged by the therapist who was rude and didn't want to take the time to hear us out.

Overall I was satisfied with the level of care with the staff and facilities. I do have one criticism is that I would have liked more status updates on my prognosis. I barely got one visit a day from my doctors.

I took my 9 yr old daughter due to complaining of dizziness from hitting her head on the gym floor at camp. We were sent back to waiting room then call to complete checkin then sent back to the waiting room then called back again in which a physician or practioner came into triage. She was diagnosed in triage but I was told no xrays or anything would be done because she wasnt unresponsive. We were then sent back to waiting area to wait for discharge papers. 30 minutes later called into one of the "fast track" rooms for discharge papers and signature. Was charged over 2000 for what was considered " outpatient services" for being in a room for 10-20 minutes.

I had apendicitis my insurance cover emergency procedures. I got the surgery to remove my appendix. The next day A woman came to my room with all the paperwork and she told me that my insurance was going to cover cause it was an emergency and the total of the bill was $10,000 and that I had just to pay the copay that was $350. Two months later I got a bill of $64,000 I couldn't believe it. This hospital is always trying to send you extra bills and is always trying to charge you more money. If you want to get ruined go to this hospital. Now I have to hire a lawyer to try to fix this bill. With this ridiculous amount of money Is like I have got a surgery in my brain instead of my appendix.

I"m sad that most have had a bad experience at the ER, but tonight, they were my saving grace. Staff was sincere, friendly and efficient. Came in (from out of town) on a weekend evening, with possible blood clot in the leg (with a prior history of clots) and was obviously very unnerved. The entire staff was helpful, calming and took extremely good care of me. My team took great care of me AND helped calm my worries. I would come back if needed.

If there was a way to give ZERO stars in a rating this would be it. Terrible experience for my first hospital stay to give birth. First time moms PLEASE steer clear of this facility and any physicians that deliver there. Absolutely poor performance on every level right down to billing after discharge. Management does NOT follow up with issues when presented to them. Has taken me over 6 months and countless phone calls and still my issue is pending because I can't get anyone to call me back. I could go on about this facility and the clinics and the administration as a whole but a novel wouldn't do it justice. Please anyone considering this place DO NOT disregard the numerous negative reviews on this page as they are all fact!

Had the option to have my Thyroidectomy done here privately and it all worked out greatly for the most part! The staff were wonderful and the surgery went perfectly. Dr.Kang is one of the very knowledgeable surgeons and was recommended to me by my endocrinologist. I would do it all again with this doctor and his crew!

The staff took good care of me, but the doctor completely missed an entirely obvious diagnostic that caused me to continue being inconvenienced for a full week. After that week, I decided to go see my regular doctor for a follow up visit since my issue still hadn't been solved. My doctor couldn't believe that the doctor at Medical City Las Colinas hadn't put me on the right medicine immediately as she would have, as my symptoms were clearly indicative of that issue. Within 2 days on the right medicine, my issue was resolved. If I'm ever in an emergency again, I will choose a different location, because of this experience.

Is it possible to give zero stars? This ER is a terrifying joke. Utterly disorganized and chaotic. Staff appeared inexperienced at best, incompetent at worst. WHATEVER YOU DO, do not take an infant or child to this ER. I was unaware they do not have a pediatric unit at this hospital. The staff have no experience with children or babies and will be unable to perform basic procedures such as blood draws. My fevering newborn did not even receive ordered Tylenol for 4 hours due to basic communication failure. That is the absolute tip of the iceberg. No one could get an IV or blood and he was tortured for a lumbar puncture multiple times despite knowledge that he was imminently being transferred to a peds specialty hospital where it could be done by someone qualified. A nurse (not my nurse) kept entering my room to give her negative opinion of what the PA and doctor were telling me and basically insisted that I stop torturing my baby and leave, and that my baby was fine. (He wasn't.) I saw the doctor one time in about 7 hours and that was for him to introduce himself when we got into the room. After transferring by ambulance to a children's hospital, they failed to notify the new hospital that the blood sample they got (after multiple attempts) had clotted and was unusable for cultures until nearly 12 hours later, so we had no viable cultures as my baby had started antibiotics by this point. Did I mention it was a disorganized disaster? Nobody had any idea what they, or anyone else, was doing.

Let me be clear, I would not use this ER as an adult either. I listened to the man in the next room vomit every 2 minutes for at least 30 minutes after being brought in by ambulance, begging for help, his call button ringing, and no one came. Unbelievable.

I could go on. It was like a very unfunny circus. Do not use this ER if you value your time, your money, or your life..

Worse place to come.. The staff the nurses the attention was horrible...
The doctors are very rude.. Just wanted to kick me out and not give me medical attention.... They would leave me in the room for an hour and not attend me at all.. I have insurance and enough to pay them for the medical attention.. Horrible services. Please dont come here your regret it.. Trust me...

I have a rare chronic autoimmune disease and I consider myself a connoisseur of emergency rooms, and this one might just be the best ER I ve seen. They all know everything about my records before coming in, they move with perfect efficiency, and they come in my room every 15 minutes with updates. Doc ordered a CT scan and half an hour later, I was coming back to my room. Absolutely amazing.

I was in PAIN. L5 disk. I felt that I did not get pain reliever and something to calm me down as fast as I needed it. Had to check in, wait for room, wait for doctor, wait for med. I'm sure they are excellent. I'm only impatient and my wife says I am a bad patient also. So, the scales are even I think.

Not pleased with all of my postpartum staff as some tried to bully me into offering my baby a bottle and believing that I was generally inadequate: 'scared of the baby,' etc.--when we were never experiencing any abnormal problems. Always do your research before having a hospital birth! :- )

I delivered my first child at medical city Las colinas and am very happy with the outcome. I received 5 star service the entire 3 day stay. Everyone was very attentive and supportive through the labor and recovery. We opted to stay in that vip recovery suite for an extra $250 a night but it was well worth it! We had a separate apartment area with fridge, microwave, dining area, Murphy bed for my husband. We had to stay in recovery for 2 nights and are extremely happy with our choice to splurge on the suite. We were visited by many different members of the staff to ensure we were satisfied with the service and stay. This is our hospital from here on out. We had to come back a day later for lab work and even the registration staff remembered us and made us feel welcome.

I've unfortunately been there twice. The doctors and nurses are great but the hospitals billing practices are HORRIBLE. I was admitted overnight and my total bill was $29K and some change. It was just ridiculous. Not sure who oversees billing but this is just nuts. I'm sorry.

I went in for a Cardiac CT scan, it was really nice, clean and fast, for real. My only issue if you want to call it that and it's really not a big deal, so why bring it up... I dunno... cause if there were one thing to change this would be it is all... the concierge seemed preoccupied and stiff... not exactly Mr. Personality. Everyone else had a lot more to give in that department. In his defense it looked, again, like he was preoccupied, as in, his managers or whatever gave him busy work, or maybe necessary work or maybe just a standard part of the deal... maybe the dude has a lot of other duties or a lot more is involved. ANYWAY... Conceirge is who you're suppoed to see when you first go in. He hands you an Ipad, you have a bunch of stuff to read and sign... which was also annoying because we discussed billing over the phone twice, and after leaving concierge you go to registration... anyway, there ya go. Everything else was smooth sailing. I was there maybe15-20 minutes for the whole experience.. they get you seated, registered, move you thru to imaging, get you under the machine, wire you up, are more than explanative for any questions you may have... tell you what they need (breathe when they say and be still and it goes faster) etc. It was easy and great and everyone is good, even the kinda wooden preoccupied concierge dude.

A few years ago, I went there because I had a staph infection on my right elbow from the GYM. Here is my story and why I rate them a 1.

1. Monday morning, I went in and they started their "PROCESS" of checking me in and diagnosing the issue/s. Scans, etc etc and they then eventually put IV's in me and shot me up with antibiotics. The doctor LADY then wrote a prescription and told me to come back in the morning (next day) for a check up. So, I left and filled the prescription and went back to work.

2. Tuesday Morning: I go back as the doctor (lady) told me to. They re-started the PROCESS again (exact same process as Monday/the day before). I thought it was weird, but I figured it was just-that, "their process" every time or something.

3. They get done with their check-in process and blood pressure process, weighing me in and then asked what I was there for. I then proceeded to tell them that the Lady Doctor had told me to come back in. The guy said, "well, she prescribed you medication - there is NO REASON TO COME BACK IN, just let us know if it doesn't get better.

4. I then get billed for that second visit (day), even though the lady doctor told me to come in out of error. The 2nd doctor guy even admitted I didn't need to come in.

5. It shows on my credit report. I find this to be HIGHLY Un-Acceptable - they need to remove it.

I went to the ER with severe Kidney pain.... the wait was not long at all. When I went in, I had a fever of 104.8 and crazy pain in my kidney.... they got me in... X-ray, CT scan was done within 1 hour. Of course I had to stay a full week due to my condition but overall the staff was great and very concerned. They always came in to check on me and I was 100% comfortable being in their care. I would recommend this hospital, not only because the service is fast and friendly and the doctors know what they are doing..... but the Food is great too!

My first delivery and it will be my last time for service at this hospital. I wished I would have chosen Baylor Scott instead. My experience was terrible and the nurses except for one where rarely seen in the rooms.

Children s ER 0 stars

Children s ER 0 stars
Maternity ward, adult ER, etc. 5 stars.

I have two reviews in one. Maternity ward was 5 stars when I had my son December 2017. Everyone was amazing, the food was amazing. I was readmitted a week later for an infection and they were amazing on the second floor as well. My ER visits were always great. I don t have enough good words to say about all of my previous visits.

The issue with my second review is due to the fact that they advertise as a children s ER yet they have no pediatricians or pediatric specialist of any kind here. My son (3.5 months old) has been having breathing issues, bathroom issues and dry skin. While they did perform a chest x-ray to rule out pneumonia, that s all they did. They did not have the capacity to perform what he needed. My nurse JoJo was amazing however and listened to what I was saying and said I was valid in being concerned.

I feel like I was brushed off by everyone, to the point that I felt like maybe it was me who had something wrong. Previous pediatricians during his well visits, the doctors in the two ER visits I brought him to. First they said he had a cold and it would go away. Yesterday they said it was a viral illness. No tests were performed. I brought his diaper with me to show them and the doctor didn t even ask to see it.

I brought him to Medical City Dallas Childrens ER. He was diagnosed with a milk protein allergy which was causing everything I was concerned about. He has bleeding in his intestines and blood particles in his stool.

My issue is that I brought my son here for what I considered a medical emergency because it specifically says on the building Children s Emergency Room. If it was something life threatening and time sensitive, I would ve wasted two precious hours bringing him to somewhere that didn t have the capacity to treat him. That s false advertising that could have a huge impact on someone s life and it s not right.
