We brought our Tiguan in for it's 20,000 mile service. It was as always fast and efficient. The staff is great and always takes the time to go over what is done to the vehicle when it is finished. We have purchased all of our vehicles at Avondale VW for the last 10 years or so. We like VW and feel they are good quality and reliable vehicles.

Walking into car dealerships for the first time af...

Walking into car dealerships for the first time after not purchasing a car in over 7 years can be very intimidating. I came on a Sunday afternoon and checked out Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Chevy, etc. just to test drive vehicles and see what's going to be the best value for my buck. I drove into VW and Steven Hunter was my first point of contact. He is Extremely friendly, professional, and proves the "shady car salesman" stereotype isn't always right. I mentioned to him I had a trade in and was looking into getting into something new. He showed me the new 2015 Base Model Jetta with the technology package and let me test drive it. The way he explained all the features and everything I would be getting if I purchased this car really made me consider it as an option. I ended leaving that day because I had one more dealership to check out. I ended up coming back the next day and decided to make a deal. I was approved that same day and was even given advice by Steven Hunter on how to get my interest rate lower by refinancing in 6 months for a lower payment. If I ever purchase another vehicle, I hope they all the experience is just like this one. Thanks to every one at Larry H. Miller VW! I love my new car!

This is my second Jetta with Larry Miller. I just bought a 2014 Jetta in January.

I am very picky about alot of people touching my car. I have been working with Barbara in the service department for over 10 years and all I can say is TOTALY EXCEPTIONAL EACH AND EVERY TIME. I also like the fact that she said that I can have the same technican service my car each time. I really appreciate that.

Thank you for having such a "exceptional employee" like Barbara.

I went in for a warranty repair on my 2012 VW CC with 90,000 miles on it. The timing chain had fell off and destroyed the engine from the cylinder head up. When I brought it in and they determined the extent of the damage I recall them making significant mention of how I was lucky that the bottom end of the engine was not destroyed as well and that usually when the timing chain comes off it destroys the whole engine requiring a whole new engine. Well they did the repair and less than a tank of gas later, about 250 miles, the connecting rod failed punching a hole through the block. When I called them and told them about it I was basically told sorry good luck with your problem and have a nice day because this is not our problem. My mechanic proxied for me, talking to them and they deny even touching anything below the head despite the fact that you do have to get into the bottom part of the engine to some degree to get the timing chain repaired. This also tells me that they lied or did a poor job of inspecting the lower part of the block in determining the extent of the damage incurred as a result of the original breakdown. Now I'm left with a scrap vehicle and $9,000 on my loan. This is my VW experience learn from my lesson do not buy these over-engineered poorly manufactured vehicles.

If you are a military family please pay attention when you re buying a car! When purchasing my car, the dealership kept telling me I would have to pay Arizona taxes even when I kept showing them everything I read online stated I would pay my state of residency tax instead because that is where I will be registering my car. They refused to listen and made me feel like I had no idea what I was talking about. I was charged 7.8% Arizona taxes although any google search would disprove that this should have happened, but when multiple people from the dealership come up to me and make me feel like I was clueless on the topic, I trusted that they knew what they were talking about. (Fast forward, I came in contact with the Arizona Department of Revenue and Arizona DMV and they have confirmed with me that it was incorrect and I was wrongfully charged by the dealership. I now need paperwork from the dealership so I can get this resolved... more work for me !)

NEXT, the dealership then didn t want to help with registering my car, so I had them speak to a Volkswagen dealership from my home state and had them explaining the correct process, fees, and forms. Leaving the dealership, I specifically asked if I had everything I needed for registering and titling my car in my home state (because they said I had to do it on my own) and I was assured I did. That was not true. Then next day I emailed the dealership letting them know I still needed the forms and I attached a PDF copy asking for them to be filled out since they were not included in my paperwork and I was told the email was forwarded to finance and then received no word from finance. I waited to see if they would be mailed and nothing. I then found my finance managers email online and emailed him asking for the completed forms and verification on some concerns I had and was told no worries but still didn t receive the forms I need to register my car or clear answers to my questions. I waited a week, now a third time I have contacted asking for the forms and have received no response.

It s been a month and a half and I still can t register my car, even though I ve been charged registration fees, I ve been over charged on taxes, and I'm left with more questions than ever. Their communication is horrible. I live a few hours from the dealership, otherwise I would gladly drive over there but I would hate to spend more money on this dealership than I already have. These times are stressful enough and this dealership is making them so much harder.

To end positively, the only good thing about my experience at this dealership was our salesmen Eddie Jr. He was wonderful and did everything he could to help us get the car I wanted! He didn t have anything to do with the problems of the dealership. It was some individuals from management and finance that were unhelpful to us at the dealership. But Eddie Jr deserves 5 stars!

I will not ever go back or refer anyone here. My Brother and I went in there on Friday afternoon to look for him a car. We test drove the car I saw online and it didn't suit him. They said they found one in the east valley and could have it brought to this location. After they got the price down to what I could afford to pay cash for, we waited. After about 4 hours and listening to the salesman's life story, I had a headache and still no car. When I asked if the car was on its way, I just got "my manager is making calls". Finally, they sent us home and said they would call when it got there. Saturday morning, still no car and was told "my manager will be in in a couple hours and I will have him call you". We decided to go somewhere else and we found another car. In the end, the car he said was coming had been sold that night and basically they were stalling until they found another car for us.
Lying doesn't sit well with me. This company wasted so much of my time and I will never go back. Had they told me the truth and let me look elsewhere, I would have considered going back if I were to need a car in the future but the lying ruined it.

lied to and misled and stuck with a car that once I found out the truth about the car, don't want. I asked them the next day to take it back since I was blatantly lied to to get me to buy it. To this, the general manager replied, "we will use this information for training purposes". I had been talking to Pedro for several weeks prior to coming in, explaining my fiancial situation and my very specific wants namely that I wanted a basic TDI Jetta wagon. He told me several times that he could absolutely get me what I wanted and would be able to get a new car. Once, I told him I talked with another dealership and he got a little irritated and said, "look, I will be honest with you if you are honest with me". I was and he wasn't. The day I went in to buy, one of the first things he said was "we make most of our money on used cars". However, I wanted a 2014 TID Jetta Wagon. After a short while, he told me adamantly that there are no TID Jetta wagons in the state (except the 6 ones with sun roofs he had, which I did not want to pay an extra $5,000 for). I kept bringing up the question, could he try to locate one in the state or even a neighboring state. Not once did he get up to ask someone else, and became agitated in his insistence that there were none. Further, he stated that I would definitely not qualify for a new car and HAD to take a used one. He kept asking me if I would take a sedan which told me he wasn't listening as I had been telling all along it had to be a car that fit my son's w/c. I asked him about a ford flex that I had seen on the road and asked what gas mileage it got. He said he had one and the car got 30 mpg. So, having had developed previously what a thought was an honest relationship, I stupidly trusted him and bought the car. After I drove home, the engine light came on. The next day, bothering me that he said that there was not one car in the whole state, I called Camelback Vw and found that there were 2 Jetta TDI wagons, 2014, in the valley and I qualified for a brand new loan (even after buying a car the previous night). The dealer, Nigil found out that the Flex only gets 17-19 miles per gallon (way too much for me who travels several hundred miles per week for her job). I called the finance manager at Larry Miller VW and told him my story and he said "Nope, you signed a contract and you are stuck with the car" (that is a quote). I called back again and talked with the dealership manager and said that there is a recission law where I can return the car within 3 days of purchase, which he said that is false and once again said "the car is your". Every single person that I dealt with at this dealership either lied to or misled me. It is hard to understand how they continue to do business since it is very unlikely that I am the only one that this has happened to. BUYER BEWARE!

I will never purchase a car here again. The car I got was supposedly certified preowned but had to get the radiator replaced, the radiator dan and the water pump because there was front end damage on a car that even on the carfax reported zero accidents. Repairs costed me 1300 dollars. The next weekend got rid of the vw and got a kia. Cannot trust this dealership.

Leadership at this stealership is the worst. This is the place to go if you enjoy being called names and like getting ripped off. They look for any reason to get more money from you than to simply fix a issue so small that the warranty will only allow $30, but they can charge you $100 for it outside the warranty.

I traded in my 2014 Jetta for a new 2015 Passat two weeks ago. I forgot my $200 Revo Sunglasses in the sunglass holder on the Jetta. Driving home in my new Passat I realized this and immediately called the salesman. He assured me that he would retrieve them and put them in his desk for safekeeping until I could stop by and pick them up. My wife stopped by a couple days later and asked for the sunglasses. The salesman said he couldn't find them? The people that groom the vehicles must have found and kept my sunglasses? You would think they would turn them in knowing that they belong to a CUSTOMER, AND THAT THE CUSTOMER PAYS THEIR SALARY!!!!! No phone calls from upper management at Larry H. Miller or them confronting their employees. I guess they like thieves working at their dealership. If you are going to use this dealership, don't leave anything valuable in your car as it will not be there when you return! I will not recommend this dealership to anyone!

We took our Passat into the dealer due to some issues. The dealership was clean and the folks there are great to work with. The service person we worked with was able to get us a loaner while our car was in the shop - this really helped us out. The service rep kept us informed of the progress and let us keep the loaner until the day after our car was ready. I would recommend this dealership and service department.

The only thing I can say is awesome. Pete Karwacki was amazing. He worked for us showed us different variations of models we were considering. He and the general manager gave us more than we were asking for our tradein and still gave us a discount on the floor model we bought. Mike the finance officer was equally as serviable. 4.75 stars out of 5!! I have been buying my vehicles here since Jan. 2004 and always am treated well! From my service person of 15 years Barb, to my salesman Larry, and Eddie in finance, the experience was comfortable and easy from start to finish. I left with a 2019 Beetle, gap coverage, and 3 oil changes for the price I agreed to, thanks to Eddie and the team at Larry Miller VW in Avondale. The only reason I didn't give the other .25 star is the car wasn't detailed out as cleanly as usual...it still has sticky residue from the packaging on the interior. The people are awesome and will do their best to meet your needs...go see them!

Had an issue with my vehicle while in their care which ended up costing me $100 out of my pocket. Had 3 different associates in the building lie to me about the manager being in a meeting. I requested calls back 3 different times and was assured each time I'd get it. I basically had to hunt down the manager. Once I spoke to the manager he basically told me he would cover half of a two pack oil change for my trouble, after I had to pull that out of him. His first offer was to give me new lug nuts free. Pete the sales manager was extremely rude and matt the sales director has no idea what he is doing. I've bought 2 cars from this place and after today will never go back again. I have sent them 2 sales and wont be referring anyone else. I'm a manager at one of the largest retailers and would be fired if I treated my customers this way. Shame on you and your employees.

It had been many years (36) since I had purchased a new car and I'm glad I had Larry Mellow as my salesman! I knew what I wanted when I walked in the door and Larry made buying a new car easy. He worked very hard to make sure I was satisfied and also answered ALL of my questions. When the deal was done and the papers were signed, Larry sat with me in my new 2013 Turbo Beetle and explained in detail all the new technology before I left the lot. Everyone at the LHM are nice folks and not your typical "car dealer" pushy people. The follow-up from LHM is wonderful. These people seem to care about the people that buy their cars. I would highly recommend LHM to anyone that wants a good deal and where buying a car isn't what it used to be!

An absolutely fantastic experience. Purchased a new TDI Beetle Convertible. Have been shopping for several months and they are pretty hard to come by. Justin took care of 95% of my deal before I arrived and respected the fact that I had to be at work within 2 hours of arriving at the dealership on the day of sale. I was in and out in 1.5 hours with the exact car I had been looking for, detailed and beautiful. Finance was a breeze. I appreciate the respect given to my professional schedule and Justin's willingness to work with me without requiring me to spend a ton of time at the dealership. On previous visits I had worked with another sales person, Roland, and he was fantastic as well. Friendly, knowledgeable and low pressure. Thanks VW! This is the 3rd vehicle my family and purchased from this dealership and we have never been disappointed by sales or service.

Took in my 2014 Touareg for some warranty work and...

Took in my 2014 Touareg for some warranty work and when I went to pick it up I was in shock and disbelieve how dishonest and sleazy the dealership is. The only reason I took my car in to this dealer was because it was the closest to my house. I should have known better than that, after all the reason I didn't buy the car from Larry Miller VW was because the sales person only wanted to sell me a car that was on the lot. When I told him that I wanted to order one, he told me why anyone would want to get that particular color, that it was ugly. I couldn't believe my ears. Is this guy trying to sell me a car or not?
Anyway, when I picked up the car I was informed that it would cost $360 to enable a feature that would have my windows open and close with my key fob, a feature that was standard on the car and was clearly shown in the user manual. The service advisor insisted that it was an option and that I didn't order it on the car. At that point I asked to speak with his service manager. In his office, the service manager asked me if I purchased the car at his dealership. When I told him that I have not, he told me that the other dealer should have enabled that feature since they sold me the car and made a large profit on the car. Finally he left his office and came back couple minutes later with another twist. He told me that he has spoken to one of his people who happened to be a subject matter expert on VW Touregs and concluded that this feature is only available on European models only. At this point, he told me if I want that feature enabled I would have to pay $360 which is 3 hours of labor because his technician has to make a living too. Finally, he said that if I wasn't satisfied, contact Volkswagen of America to complain.
In conclusion, I will never do business with Larry H. Miller Volkswagen. Apparently if you didn't buy a car from their dealer's lot, they will try to rip you off, lie and not honor the warranty.

**DO NOT TRUST VOLKSWAGEN**

**DO NOT TRUST VOLKSWAGEN**

I purchased my vehicle from this location. I had brought my 2013 VW Jetta GLI with 54k miles to the Scottsdale Chapman dealership on March 21th due to a check engine light from a timing chain malfunction. Upon arrival, the only light that was on was the check engine light and I had only brought the vehicle in for the timing chain. The mechanic has diagnosed the vehicle with only a timing chain issue that was covered under warranty.

The car took 2 months to fix. The service advisor, Mike, informed me the repairs took long because bad parts were installed on the vehicle and he needed to order new ones. It was informed to me that THE BAD PARTS WERE DISCOVERED AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE.

After receiving my vehicle back on May 19th, the vehicle had an EPC light on due to low oil pressure. This light was on when I had picked up the vehicle but this light was not on when I had dropped it off in March. The shop informed me this was low oil pressure and there was nothing they can do about it. The dealership informed me it would cost over $10000 to fix. On May 23th my vehicle stopped working completely with a low oil pressure light on telling me to turn off the engine.

Per the VW settlement act, I should only be responsible for 30% of this repair. The vehicle was taken in not working, and was given back to be still not working all relating to the engine and timing chain parts. The engine should have been replacement by the VW dealership and instead, a job was done they did not fix the vehicle. The bottom line is I BROUGT MY VEHCLE IN WITH ASSURANCE I WOULD RECEIVE IT BACK WORKING AND IT IS NOT WORKING, NEEDING MORE WORK. The bad parts being put on the vehicle could have caused the need to replace the whole engine.

DO NOT BUY A VOLKSWAGEN!!! THEY WILL LEAVE YOU STRANDED AND STICK YOU WITH A $10000 BILL AT 54k MILES.

The negative stigma about buying a car was present...

The negative stigma about buying a car was present with me UNTIL I went to Avondale VW. I had gone to Toyota/Honda/Nissa dealers looking to purchase a used car. Not only was Avondale VW customer friendly and professional, they actually WANTED to make a sale! At other dealerships like Nissan and Toyota they tried to take advantage of the fact that I was underwater on my trade in and try to put me in a 2014 VERSA for $30k, or a Matrix for $30k, my car had about $6k to roll over and not only did Avondale VW give me the MOST for my trade in they gave me multiple examples to look at, Roland the other sales associate literally did everything they could to get me in a car and by that I mean giving me more for the trade in, adding warrantys for piece of mind and treating me like a person who had worked hard for a great credit score and deserved to be helped out. But most importantly THEY WANTED TO MAKE A SALE, other dealers want to go home with as much $$$ in their pocket as possible, these guys are not greedy and know what real business is, going home with $ is better than going home with nothing!! If you are looking for reliable cars and honest businessmen go to Avondale VW. I couldn't be more surprised and happy w/my decision.

About a weak ago I brought my 2005 VW Passat for regular maintenance. After dropping my car of and them doing maintenance on it, I was advised by my Service Advisor Tom Platacz that there were few additional problems with my car ! I Was suspecting those minor problems were there and prior to me taking my car to them I ve price shopped couple other dealers for this repairs, during my conversion with Tom, his manager Matt Norgard come up and introduce him self to me, we talked about prices and needed repairs and even though I didn t want to spend that kind of money they were right in the ball park with their price comparing to other dealers. After talking to both of them I felt extremely comfortable letting them do the work! Once all the work was completed everything was perfect and I cant even express how happy I was with both Tom Platacz and Matt Nortgard for taking such great care of me, my vehicle and all my needs, I will most definitely recommend them to all my friends and family for all their vehicle needs !
Thank you

From the first time I walked in the door to purchase my VW Jetta the entire staff was helpful and very friendly. My sales associate Liz Rios was always helpful and available to answer any and all of my questions. The service department and especially Dwayne Wright have been more than helpful and accommodating anytime I have had an issue. I would recommend Larry Miller Volkswagen to anyone looking to buy a new or pre-owned vehicle. The next time I purchase a vehicle it will be through them.

Great experience compared to other dealerships I have visited in the Phoenix area. The negotiations were a bit rocky, but they always are when buying a car. I worked with Larry Reid, and the General Manager and left feeling good about the price I received for my trade, and the price I paid for my new vehicle.

So my family went in to look for another car on a ...

So my family went in to look for another car on a Suday, we have 2 cars already and do not need another. We knew what we wanted an how much we wanted to pay. Our salesman AJ was AMAZING! Showed us what we wanted and got business done. He went back with our info, Julio in finance showed us a single sheet of paper that said total amount of loan and monthly payments. We agreed to it and they said they were going back to work on a deal and they would be back with us in a little bit. THREE hours later Aj(who had done his job, checked in on us, said they were working on it in finance, like a sales man should) finally sends us home WITH the car and Julio told us by Tuesday they'd call us with all our approval paperwork and we would just need to come in and sign. Monday I called, voicemail, no call back. Tuesday I call, Julio is actually off today. How can he approve us by Tuesday if he is off. Wednesday my husband calls leaves a VM for Brian. Thursday my husband calls again and gets Brian on the phone. Brian rudely told him we had came in on a Sunday and how did we think the bank could approve on a Sunday... Then said Tuesday was a holiday so that's what's taking so long, we will get you approved. We told him great, we just want the COMMUNICATION!! Friday, nothing. Saturday I call leave Julio and Brian VM, neither returned my call. Saturday at 7 my husband goes in and Many tells him that they have our approval were just 3rd in line to sign papers. HOW ARE WE THIRD WHEN WE WERE HERE A WEEK AGO??? Whatever. Manny says someone will call Saturday night/Sunday morning to schedule a time for us to come sign. Sunday, my husband calls Brian and Brian said Manny lied to us and they didn't have an approval but they were still working. Monday nothing. Tuesday my husband gets a call from Manny asking if we can trade in MY car. We said no that's our family vehicle. He then tells us to come in and they will have papers for us to sign. We go out there and AJ is extremely surprised to see us, he thought he missed us signing our papers in his day off..... Julio try to push a 2017 on us. He says that's what the bank wants to finance. Not a 2014. It has more equity. We tell him no. We know the exact car we want. We've had it for 9 days.... Then he has Manny come in and tell us the only way we can get the car we want is with $950 monthly payments. Really?? So then Manny tells us the bank denied us because they saw on our credit that we have been shopping around at other dealerships and other dealerships had ran our credit. YOU HAVENT CALLED US BACK ON THE CAR WE WANT!! Why wouldnt we see how much others would charge for the same car! My husband tells him he worked at the banks before and knows how it works. And that he was just lying to us. Manny stomped out and said you cant take the car home, someone will drive you home in a different vehicle. Not before you give my deposit back, Manny seemed upset he had to go upstairs to get it printed on a check for us. We will never recommend this dealership to ANYONE. We also heard 5-7 salesmen talking(it's a glass office fellas, you can hear everything you say in that office when sitting at the table next to the glass.. SMH.) about how this is the 3-4th time this month finance has told people they can work something out and let people take the car knowing they can't make the deal happen. Causing the salesmen to loose that sale when the sales men think the deals are going to happen as well. Shame on this finance department..
