Stopped in to see if I could find a Dodge Ram and Daniel "Smitty" Smith was extremely helpful. I was looking for something to fit our budget new or used and we found a used 17' Dodge Ram Laramie Longhorn Eco Diesel with only 6K miles that was perfect. They worked with us on the price and our trade-in to fit our needs. I have been a lifelong Dodge/Mopar fan and these guys made sure I got what I wanted. Great staff from the Receptionist to the Management!

I used a coupon last year for 4 oil changes at a discounted rate. With the oil changes they are supposed to do an inspection and check your fluids etc. Well towards the end of the winter sometime after my last oil change my heat begins to blow cold air. First thing I check is my coolant level to make sure coolant is passing through the radiator to be heated resulting in hot air for the heater. Low and behold my coolant reservoir is right below the minimum fill line. Checked hose for leaks and there are none, no signs on driveway of leaks either. They obviously are not filling customers fluid as advertised. Will not be using them for any services nor to purchase future vehicles. Had this not been caught, it could have caused some serious damage.

The SERVICE DEPARTMENT is the worst I have ever dealt with. They do not want to work with women. It is my opinion that they use scare tactics to get women to pay for things that are unnecessary. My husband's truck had to be towed to the service department after it broke down on the road. My husband knew it had to do with the fuel system. Over 24 hours later, still no call from anyone in the service department to say what they found. When I finally got a hold of someone I was given a list of items that needed to be repaired. NONE of which had anything to do with why it broke down. When I asked about the fuel problem I was told that a line was leaking. Never mind the fact that we just had this truck check out one month prior by this service department and none of the now listed problems I was told that needed to be fixed were mentioned. If you can avoid this service department you should do so.

Got my trucks oil changed in their service department. They have fast Wi-Fi and a nice waiting room while you wait. Everyone that I spoke with was extremely nice and helpful. I was also given a time table of 45 minutes, and is it was done in under 30.

I have used landers McLarty Landers Service dept multiple times in the last year. Ever time Derek Smith has been my contact and each time he has gone above and beyond to take care of my vehicle. He has even reached outside of the scope of his job to take care of issues that popped up. Use this team and you won t be dissatisfied.

They take forever to get the service done then don t complete it correctly. I had tire pressure sensors fixed in my Ram at least four times and they actually left on in the tire the last time. Very poor customer service and pushy sales staff.

My experience at Landers McLarty Chrysler Dodge Je...

My experience at Landers McLarty Chrysler Dodge Jeep was so bad that I sold my car as soon as I got it back so I'd never have to repeat this experience. It was not a case of "one bad employee" or some kind of fluke. It was these three standard policies of both Chrysler and Landers.
1. *There is only one transmission technician.* The normal wait time for transmission work is 6-14 days, my experience being 15. There are no plans to hire more technicians and it is suggested that you call ahead and make an appointment. Unfortunately if your transmission breaks down at 45,000 miles and is not drivable you must wait those 6-14 (15) days without a car because...
2. *Even under manufacturer's warranty a rental car will not be issued until the diagnosis is complete.* So that's 6-14 (15) days before the technician can look at it and at least 1 day (for me it was 3-4 days) for the problem to be diagnosed. Once that happens a rental car will be covered by the manufacturer's warranty but...
3. *The number of days a rental car is covered is determined by the number of days the repair is estimated to take, not how long it actually takes.* The estimated time my repairs would take was 7 days. After that 7 days I asked for two more and they did allow me to keep the rental car for 9 days. After 9 days I had to return the car and wait and ADDITIONAL 8 DAYS for my car to be fixed.

This is all normal. This is standard. I called corporate. This is how the service plan is laid out in whatever Jeep handbook is used to regulate service. My car was/is still under manufacturer's warranty and this was considered acceptable to Jeep. 33 days without my car. 24 days with no car.
The good news is that Uber is quite nice in Huntsville!

It was a great and easy time. They had the wrong price listed in the website but Rob the used car sales manager said they would honor it, which was great. Ashly was very helpful and let me drive any car I wanted. Will look to them the next time I have to buy a car.

First, dealers advertised price was 800.00 dollar...

First, dealers advertised price was 800.00 dollars less online than actual asking price once at dealership. Second, car appeared to have not been cleaned in 10 months due to actual dirt buildup in almost every crevice of the car. Which was my fault, for making a deal before it was actually cleaned and detail, but during intial walk around it appeared to be in good condition. Had a wash and wax as part of the deal so wasnt overly concerned. Then they tried to send me out the door with a unacceptable wash and no wax. Thats when I notice about 15 blemishes in paint on hood, two on roof, and two nicks on right quarter. They rescheduled the wash and wax for the next day unacceptable, but ok. After, a hour at dealership and and another 4 hours at home I was able to work out about 10 blemishes out of hood. Then wasted time, driving back to dealership the next day for another unacceptable wash and car still wasn't waxed, and wouldn't touch up nicks. Nothing I would expect and unacceptable from a reputable dealer maybe a used car lot. They could have put a more effort in to customer satisfaction and got five stars. Instead left me feeling screwed over and ripped off. I'll go somewhere else for Subaru service, parts and accessories needs. Wouldn't recommend or return.

Update. Management knew about issues based on phone call with sales manager, but failed to take action prior to deliveey. Still owed a wash and wax as part of purchase agreement. Spent 4 hours and $100.00 detailing car the day of delivery. Another 8 hours and $300.00 buffing and repairing chip and and lost $180.00-$360.00 for my time. Only to have low tire pressure light to come on within 5 days. Once I changed gauge from kPa to PSI tire gauge for all tires read 8-12 PSI below recommend pressure in manual. So had to stop at gas station and add air. So why did I pay extra for nitrogen filled tires. I don't know. Then next day, after using wipers twice the washer fluid light came on. Obviously, dealer doesn't have a pre delivery checklist and make sure everything is top off. Luckily, rest of fluid are full. Service tech probably just changes valve caps on stem and never fill with nitrogen. Most likely salesman hit car with fuel nozzle cussing a chip and cap causing another chip. Because neither were there after intial walk around and bother are obvious.

Thanks,

I visited this dealership Sat, Dec 29th to purchas...

I visited this dealership Sat, Dec 29th to purchase a car. I had been in contact with the Sales Manager, Deonte. I also had my own approved financing in which I brought with me. We only needed to negotiate the numbers. He then put me with a salesman, Brian. This is where my happiness ended. Brian treated me like he didn't want to sell me this car. He was very dry in his delivery of every detail. He kept trying to give me the numbers according to their financing and I said several times that I was using my financing. As we talked numbers, he also felt the need to keep giving me analogies. He said " I deal in facts and reality and we can't put emotions into this". I was a little confused but then he went on to say " You know how when you are sleeping and having a really good dream but then you wake up to REALITY?" In other words, my dream of owning this particular car was not going to happen. It was insulting and unprofessional. I felt that because I was a woman, he treated me differently because when he stopped to talk to another male customer while waiting on the manager, he was all smiles and jokes. With me, it was the complete opposite. In the end, when I was ready to walk out, Deonte then tried to give me the closest terms to what I could work with but because of the treatment I received from BRIAN, I asked for my car keys so I can leave. It took me asking more than once for Brian to get my keys so that I could leave. Salesman should not act this way toward customers. I would tell anyone to be wary of going here.

I can NOT thank Landers McLarty enough for everything they have done for me! From Julie Gallow working all night to helping me get the right vehicle in my budget for me back in July to Matt Hutson in the service department to making sure my car was taken care of in a very timely manner two weeks ago! He took awesome care of me and my Ford Escape to getting my battery replaced in time for me to get my daughter to Birmingham for her testing! These people rock and have been my savior in extreme situations! As Khya says Thank you for my car and making it better! :)

I have bought four Jeeps and a truck from Landers over the last seven years. The sales team has always gone above and beyond to find me the best deal possible on exactly the vehicle I am looking for. The service department handles all the maintenance on all of my vehicles. This week I had them order me new tires and mount and balance them. This would be a six star review if it would let me add another. Thanks Landers!

Bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee here, the sales team was amazing and super friendly. She told me I'd love the service department and that they'd "treat me like family". Never have I had worse service before. I had boughten a service contract with Chrysler so I was stuck taking it there. Every time I pulled in I had to wait longer than 5 minutes for anyone to even recognize me. They had the wrong phone number for me and I asked them multiple times to change it and maybe after the 10th time they finally did. I took my car there for a recall to be fixed on it. They had it the whole day, then I brought it back later for an oil change and they told me the recall was never fixed even though my car sat there all day to be fixed. No one could tell me why it wasn't fixed. No one there ever seemed professional there or that they cared about their job. One time I took it there and my headlights were out because I was having work done on them through another company. When Jeep did their safety check on the car they said the headlights worked..even though there were no bulbs in them. I would NEVER go back here to buy a car or get service done. Super happy I left the Jeep "family" and went to Lexus. Would never go back.

Tay or Latavyn is such an awesome guy. For his age he's mature but funny at the same time. Although I wasn't able to find a vehicle of my liking in Huntsville, he still helped assist me in looking for another vehicle at a different lot. He never pressured me to stay or purchase from him. He always said "I want you to be happy when you drive off the lot."If ever looking for any Chrysler, jeep, or dodge. I highly recommend this guy.

Recently my husband and I wanted to purchase a new Dodge Dart. We had a list of what we wanted and Tonya worked with me to find exactly what we were looking for. Although they didn't have it at their dealership they had it in the following day. Raahmus was very pleasant to work with and he wasn't happy until we were. We definitely recommend this dealership and look forward to returning the next time we have a car buying need.

I was just reading a review from Linda on Dec. 5, 2015. I too had a very similar experience. I found the car I was looking for online. I went in to purchase the car (money in hand) to be told the car (which was on the lot) had been sold. However, they offered to sell me a car with 10 times the miles and a year older for only 1,000 less. The car still remains online for sale. I feel as if this car is a mere sales ploy.

Don't expect anything beyond a Buy-Here Pay-Here l...

Don't expect anything beyond a Buy-Here Pay-Here lot.

This is not something I would normally do, but I feel like I should share. I would NOT recommend buying a used vehicle from Landers McLarty dealerships. I have bought and sold many cars, looking back I wish I would have walked away from this one. Landers McLarty, to me, is basically a dolled-up Buy-Here Pay-Here car lot. I'll explain.

Before you go to Landers McLarty know there is NO WARRANTY and the used cars ARE NOT SERVICED before you buy them. They are simply cleaned; and not well. I traded in a vehicle with brand new brakes, after putting a few miles on this new vehicle I can see that I now will have to have brake work done before the end of the year. There's a rock chip in the window of my new car; I was told it was "probably fixed." Upon further inspection... It wasn't. I should have noticed this before I left but there's 30% oil life remaining (I've never seen a vehicle sold from a dealership without a recent oil change). The vehicle I traded had JUST had the oil changed as well (win for them). The detail job on my new vehicle was cut-rate at best. I got home and started cleaning a little and found a mess under the seats. Also, there was only one key with the vehicle. It'll cost me roughly $150, maybe more for a second.

I will say the dealership gave me for my trade KBB value and sold the vehicle I bought for KBB value (gave me middle range and sold for TOP range of the KBB value, fyi). BUT, even then, with all of the above mentioned the car was not worth DEALER KBB value. I brought up that I had just put in new brakes and a few extras I had put on the traded vehicle and they would not move on price at all. The reason a person buys from a reputible dealer is so that they shouldn't have to worry about bad brakes, chipped windows, only one key, needing to clean and maintain the vehicle within 2 months of buying it; but like I said, this place is basically a Buy-Here Pay-Here lot. I now need to be concerned and need to go over the vehicle with a fine-tooth comb to see what else is wrong with it. I would have been better off buying private party and paying a little less. I had minimal benefit buying from Landers McLarty vs private party or a Buy-Here Pay-Here lot.

They messed up the paper-work that was sent to my local County Clerk to register the vehicle. I almost had to leave the clerk, have the paper-work fixed, and then come back. Luckily I had a clerk that was great and was able to get it approved to go through by his manager.

Also, they will sell you an extended warranty for a jacked-up price from a warranty company that has mediocre reviews at best. Just don't expect any peace of mind buying from Landers McLarty. I like my new vehicle (make, model, trim) I just wish I would have waited a little longer and bought it somewhere else.

One star because the people are courteous.

One star because the people are courteous.
However I will never use the service department again. They have had my Jeep in for the same problem 6 times and did not resolve the issue. Talking to the Service Manager more than once about various issues has been a joke. The last time he gave me his cell number to call him directly if I still had the problem... when I did he never returned my voicemail. When I called the office and requested a return call I did not get one.
I did receive a call about a recall that needed attention ... This I had taken to them 3 months prior. My document said it was not a problem, picture was taken and would be sent to Jeep. The nice young lady stated she would check into that. I got a call back fro her. The picture did not turn out so I needed to Bring it back in... I did the next day, I needed an oil change too. She said she would do what she could to expedite it for me. Well 2 1/2 hours later my Jeep is ready. The new paper work says they have replaced the part, and completed the oil change.... When I got home I noticed the window reminder sticker had not been changed and my Change Oil light was on
So I call the nice young lady back again... she has the service tech call me back. He too is nice but the fact is I have no confidence in Landers McLarty service department to do what they say they will. Documentation is not accurate when I use the Jeep app.
So now I will drive to the other side of town or to Athens and get dealer service.
Don t know about the sales folks I didn t buy my Jeep from them.... maybe that is why I have gotten such poor service.

Bought a 2017 Chrysler Pacific Limited, have had 3 major issues with it since owning for under a year. Every time I take it to LMDCJR, I am forced to spend hours waiting for a shuttle, and hoping they actually fix the problem. Last issue was a Lanesense error, this required a new camera to be installed, and took three trips. They stated they fixed the problem, and I got in and they had not fixed it. They should repay me my hourly rate for there mess ups. I have wasted 3 hours and counting at their dealership for this issue.

My experience at Landers was much more than I expe...

My experience at Landers was much more than I expected.
I expect business personnel to be polite, courteous, helpful. The business wants something from me so it is to their advantage to be nice. When the money has been spent, you typically don't matter anymore so the kindness disappears.

First....I couldn't have been more impressed with Ned, my salesman, as I was shopping for a used vehicle. Spending only a few minutes with him gave me reason to be grateful that he was helping me with the selection. He was not just helpful, more so, he was patient with me as I asked many questions. Without asking, he gave me a printout of all the documentation regarding features and maintenance records for the vehicle I decided on. I don't meet many people I feel I can trust as soon as I did with him. Great experience...Thanks Ned!
Second....The finance manager, Franky was also a pleasure to work with. He made the process much less stressful than any of my previous experiences. Thanks Franky!
Third....Less than 13 hours after I left the dealership I had a critical need for assistance with my purchase. Something was horribly wrong. I called Landers for help not really expecting any. Based on my 60+ years of, "I'm sorry sir. You purchased a vehicle with NO Warranty sir so there is nothing I can do for you". Have a good day. Goodbye". Just the opposite happened. I was treated by Matt, the "Service Director", as though I was the most important person he had ever had the privilege of helping. He immediately attempted to resolved my problem personally and spent better than a half hour walking me through different steps to resolve the problem....He succeeded. He invited me to call him anytime in the future if I ever needed any help. I reminded him I was a used car buyer and he repeated, "Call me if you ever need any help".
Thanks Matt!!!

Last.... I purchased a new car form another dealership three years ago. After they got my money, my car and I (yes, my car) were treated so poorly at that dealership that I stopped taking it back to them for anything. I live 2 hours away from this dealership, but I will turn to Landers McLarty Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram first as I need to replace my automobiles. I will start with Ned!

Thanks to everyone that helped me (phone operators and others that got me to the right people)!

Rude, slow, unreliable, and dishonest!

Rude, slow, unreliable, and dishonest!

We had our vehicle taken it due to it having trouble starting, they said it was a fuel pump relay and charged $105 and delivered it back. Seems like a 5 star experience, however the problem was not resolved. I don t believe tested it considering a few hours after it was returned it sounded the same as when we dropped it off. So I called and left a message for my service advisor and waited few days and with no response. At this point the vehicle would not start at all, so we call again saying it the problem wasn t fixed and now it needed to be towed in. Over 24 hours after it was in the shop we never received a phone call or anything when I called them they said it still wasn t diagnosed, after telling them it s not the battery and was probably the starter the advisor said tell ya what, if it s the starter we will give you a job here extremely rude. I have an extended warranty on my vehicle on which a starter which is covered, however they theorized and told my warranty company that the valve gasket leaked oil and caused my starter to fail. Because the gasket wasn t covered the tow and starter wasn t covered. While I understand it may have been one possibility for the cause if the starter not working, it could have been that the vehicle has over 135,000 miles, plus they misdiagnosed the issue the first time which caused me to have to have the vehicle towed, which they should have covered themselves. On top of that they tried to make it better by offering a discount then when I got there they gave me their corrected bill, but the cashier had the incorrect bill so I was overcharged $202. I will never buy a vehicle from or have another vehicle serviced at this place!!

I called the service department to set up an appointment to bring my wifes vehicle in. Breena was excellent and had my appointment time set up for the next day. I brought my wife's car in for an oil change and the air bag light indicator was on. She also needed a set of new tires. The service advisor (Haley Glover) was awesome. She kept me informed of the progress. The service techs Jonathan and David who performed the work were great. Great experience and great service. Even got a good deal for all the work that was done.

Landers McLarty Service department is a joke. I h...

Landers McLarty Service department is a joke. I have had dealings with them on two occasions simply because I thought taking my car to the dealership was the best idea. I was wrong.

The last time I took my car to them for repairs it was for damage to the rear end suspension. To be fair those are significant repairs to any car. The staff at Landers McLarty replaced the drive shaft and replaced a bolt on the rear CV joint. They however missed the fact that the CV joint itself was damaged. They did insist the I replace the brakes on may car (the brake pad on my car are all above 5mm in wear), The actual problem was that the brake fluid was low, but I guess they just figured why not go ahead and replace the entire system. Guess somebody needed a bonus at my expense.

I allowed them to work on the CV joint and drive shaft on my car. For a repair cost of about $3k.

Two years later the exact same system they (allegedly) worked on failed again. Learning from previous mistakes I took the car to a local shop who-within 30 minutes-identified not only that the rear drive shaft and CV joint had be worked on in the past but what a, "shoddy job" had been done.

I paid $1k in repairs from the local shop, and my car has never felt or driven better.

Do yourself a favor. Do not use Landers McLarty's service department. There are enough good local shops in this town and you don't have to settle for crap work.

The dealership performed a recent safety recall on my 2005 Ram 2500 4x4. The service was done in a very resonable amount of time and I ws notified promptly when it was finished. Best service department I have been to for my truck! While waiting, I discussed the possibility of a new truck purchase with a very knowledgeable sales associate.

My husband and I had such a great experience purchasing our 2018 Jeep Cherokee from Landers McLarty, in large part due to our amazing salesperson, Rylee! He told us he had only been there since February, but he was the best salesman I ve ever encountered! He made the process easy, and seemed very invested in making sure we got what we wanted for a price that worked for us. He never once seemed pushy or overeager to pressure us into an expensive vehicle we couldn t afford. In the end, we got the exact Jeep we came there for at an amazing price. Our lender even told us outright that they would not recommend Gap Insurance in our situation because there was no way the value of the vehicle would ever drop below what we paid. Trade-in process was also amazing and seamless. We got more for our 2012 Chevrolet Cruze than we expected! I would recommend this dealership to anyone, but I would especially recommend Rylee!!

I bought a car from Landers McLarty Dodge seven years ago...I still own the car, because it began falling apart on me as soon as I bought it. My salesperson, Aretha, pretended like I was going to be approved for a 08 Dodge Magnum, which is what I was trying to buy; they even let me take it home over the weekend. Then Monday, she was calling saying that I wasn't approved, and that the only vehicle they could sell me was a 2004 Suzuki XL-7, which they unfortunately duped me into buying. She also managed to talk me and my wife into buying her a book called How to Win Friends and Influence People. Now, granted, I was very young when I bought the car, and didn't know better, but they should've worked with me and instead took flat out advantage of us and sold us a car as is that they knew was about to fall apart. Now, I'm afraid to even try to get a new car, even though I may die in the POS they sold me. I just hope they remember who I am, because I will never deal with them again.

My experience with the service department is the missing star so far I'm a ford man but this dodge truck seems to exceed any expectations I've had of what comfort can be found in a truck

I dropped my car off on the 26th of march to have a diagnosis done and they broke a stud off my air bad inflator. well here it is 8 days later and still no part and cant drive car. Its funny as we can go online and get parts in 2 days but they cant get one in a week. Not very impressed in the service department, yes they offered a loaner car but at the time I did not need one, now a week later my car is still in their shop at my mercy.

My first experience has not been the best I am accustomed to fast friendly professional service as I was getting in the DC area Welcome to Huntsville Alabama please lower your expectations!! My car wasn't cleaned nor vacuumed out I received some form of a fake sticker I don t have a clue whats on it, and the service I asked for wasnt provided. fuel injection cleaning. Overall experience 3 out of 10 and thats only because the nice young man Ryan Searched endlessly for my paperwork so I could come and pick up my car after 2 days of it being done and sitting.

I called on Wed and described the issue with my van. I was told to bring it on Thursday 7am-10am and they could do it that day. I had another place that said the same but chose to try LM. I dropped it at 730am. I called at 230 to get an update and they hadnt even looked and i was told it didnt look like they would get to it that day. I stressed that i was told otherwise and that i had a trip on Fri. At 530 i was told that it was the ABS module and pump and wouldn't be fixed till Wed and it'd be $1500. I picked it up and took it elsewhere. The other place said the pump was not bad and it was a quick easy fix. I will not use LM again.

Bridget Brooks was my sales person. She was extremely nice, fast, efficient and very good at knowing what I needed/wanted. She had a little assist from Nathan because she had another customer to come in but he,too, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind. I couldn t have asked for a better experience while purchasing a car. And the SUBARU Ambassador, Yetta, was also so very nice, helpful and really good at making you feel welcome. She was knowledgeable about everything exciting with Subaru. If you re looking for a Subaru I certainly recommend Landers-McClarty.

The service manager Edward did an awesome job and provided me with outstanding customer service. Somehow the drain plug on my Durango fell off after my oil change and all the oil drained out. Edward understood my concerns and towed my vehicle free of charge, corrected the issue and went above and beyond to ensure no damage to my engine. I was even able to receive some preventative maintenance credit on services. I really appreciate how he handled this situation. He showed excellent character and genuine concern in doing a great job. Hats off to him and his team.

Had a bad experience with service on my Jeep in Se...

Had a bad experience with service on my Jeep in September 2018. Hoped it would be better this time with my Ram truck. Dropped off for a scheduled appointment at 7:30 am for two recalls and oil change. Was promised it would be done by 3:00 pm. Called at 2 to check on the status. After holding for 10 minutes was told that Derrick would call. Called at 3 and asked for Derrick. Told he is out to lunch and would call me back. Asked if anyone else could give me status. Put on hold another 10 minutes. Then told it should be ready by 5 pm. Arrived at dealership at 5. Was told it would be ready soon. Got the truck at 5:30; 10 hours after I dropped it off. At no time did anyone call me. Oil change was provided at no charge because of the delay; the only reason I gave a 2 instead of 1 for this review. Can tolerate delays, but not when no one calls. Will drive to an out-of-town dealership for service next time.

REVISION 2/21/19: Was called the day after the review above by Derek at Landers-McLarty. He had seen the review, apologized, and asked if I would change my review to positive if they repaired a broken mirror at no charge. I agreed. Unfortunately, the lack of communication continues. The mirror is on backorder with no estimate of when it will come in. I know this only because I asked, not because they initiated it. So, while they may be sensitive to negative reviews, they didn't change in response to the review.

REVISION 3/4/19: Derek called to say that the mirror was in and that I could come in and have it put on while I waited. Was at the dealership less than 20 minutes, mirror is working great, and there was no charge. Derek and the dealership did what they said they would do, so I am changing my review from 2 stars to 5 stars.

At 5:45pm today, no one is picking up the phone in service or sales after several calls - looks like everybody has gone home early!! Trying to get a status of my jeep in service that should have been ready on Monday after being dropped off last week. Very disappointed with this dealership!

My husband and I are down visiting from Michigan. We lived in Alabama for 9 years. Brought our grandchildren back. We decided to go check out some Jeeps and possibly trade in my Explorer. We found the one we wanted and Ian Finch was our salesman. He was knowledgeable, friendly and extremely personable. We spent several hours there and drove away in a new Jeep Rubicon manual transmission. Which is exactly what we were looking for. The staff was friendly, the dealership was clean and inviting. JT helped us a bit as well. Both guys were such a pleasure to work with. Thanks to all , who helped us with our new Jeep! Definitely recommend you stopping in for your next car purchase. Sincerely, Dawn and Rick

All aspects of this dealership are terrible. The used sales department is full of hot air and doesn't keep their word on fixing items. The service department had to keep my van over night twice even though I dropped it off the night before they were to do work so they would have it first thing in the morning. Even though I was told that it would be ready by the end of the day each time. They would call 5 minutes before I was to pick it up to ask if they could keep it over night. The service department cause the radiator hose to have a leak when doing an oil change and my wife was stuck on the side of the road on the way home from work due to there being no coolant. I kick myself every day for going to this dealership and am considering trading in the van I purchased 4 month ago but I definitely will not go to Landers McLarty. If I do go to a dealer for the VIN specific part repair needed, I'm driving to Cullman or Albertville because the service department here is so bad. I will not give them another penny. I even get tempted to walk into their sales room to tell people in the process of buying a car to get up and walk away unless they want the worst experience of their life.

I had such a hard week last week.. My car broke down (amongst the other series of unfortunate events.) Honestly I had been wanting a new vehicle anyway, so that was the push to find it.
I went to carmax and had horrible luck: terrible service, pushy salesmen, and lackluster warranties.
I decided to wait on purchasing a 2012 jeep I found there ($14,000, 98,000 miles on it) and went down the street to the landers McCarty dodge Chrysler jeep ram dealership. Tay Johnson was my salesman. He asked the right questions and helped answer any and every question I had. He found me exactly what I wanted in 10 minutes of being there ! It was a brand new 2016 Jeep Patriot with all the stops for a few grand more than the used piece of junk at carmax ! Such a great salesman. I Would definitely recommend him to any car buyer 10/10 times !

Had service done today 1/27/20. DeJaun Lamar was my service Rep. Couldn't ask for a more respectful guy and understanding , and very helpful. All employees there are very nice and friendly. Had oil change , rotate tires , front end alignment and also A battery issue that controls my sensors. Glad that I purchased my Rebel pick up truck there and have them for the service.

I was met with courtesy , and professionals. Mr. Willie White went above and beyond what most would do to help me find the truck I wanted. He was also is very knowledgeable about his vehicles. He walked me through many of the extras the truck had. Of all my years purchasing a vehicle, this by far was the most comfortable, easy , no pressure and actually was a pleasure to do business with Landers McLarty Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram. Mr. Willie White is an asset to the dealership. And he is there for the customer.

I had given them 5 stars for my previous visit but honestly the service has gotten even better since then. Today was, quite honestly, the best experience I've had at a service department & I have quite a few comparisons. Sooooo ... keep up the good work, guys!!

The service department was very misleading in what services my vehicle needed, and cost of services. I was told certain things were required for regular maintenance, which I later found out were not especially since my vehicle was a 2016 with very low mileage. The prices I was quoted were much less then what was charged upon pick up. When asking the staff about my charges I was told You ll have to calculate those yourself. When calling the service manager to get further information we were told there was nothing else they could do and a follow up call from the higher manager would occur the following week. We still have not received any further calls and no efforts have been made to contact us. All I want is for this issue to not happen to someone else and clearly from reading the past views it has.

My wife and I had an excellent buying experience r...

My wife and I had an excellent buying experience recently at Landers McLarty Subaru. We have been loyal buyers for the past 30 years of one of Detroit s Big 3 automakers. We never thought we would switch to a Subaru but Landers McLarty made it simple, easy, and actually enjoyable. There was no high pressure. We received a very fair price for our trade in with no haggling. Berney Waite, the sales manager, gave us the amount we asked for, plus we were given an excellent discounted price on the new vehicle we were purchasing. And our salesperson, Stanley Ifedebe, did a most excellent job of providing a comprehensive test drive and explanation of what our new Outback Limited had to offer. The icing on the cake was buying a vehicle in their inventory and driving it as much as we wanted while waiting for the exact vehicle we ordered - and when the ordered vehicle arrived we just traded vehicles with NO additional cost. There were no additional fees, charges, or cost whatsoever. The vehicles were similarly equipped. In fact our newly ordered vehicle had a few more options than the original Outback we purchased from inventory. I had ever heard of such a deal but it s true. I would highly recommend dealing with Landers McLarty if you are in the market for a Subaru. Our new vehicle is everything we expected and more, from its build quality to the quality of the dealership.
