Pricey, but damn the food was good! Trusted place to go for good food.

Valet parking, I don't think the parking cost, but I gave a tip up front and they parked my truck in the very first parking spot. That goes a long way with me.

Great service, Good food. While understanding the eclectic nature of Atlanta lifestyle and eatery, this restaurant had some ups and downs overall. On pre arrival we began with drinks as I had heard of the amazing old fashioned's being served. While the selection and depth of the drink menu was very nice the bar knowledge was not so much as the bartender did not even know if they carried a certain brand which was listed on the menu. All in all we got it hashed out and started rolling. After seating the service was amazing!!! Our server was very knowledgeable of the drink and food selection with interjections of suggestive selling at appropriate time. Never once did we have to stray from our dining experience to request or find in need of anything. From appetizers to desserts the plating was spot on to fulfill the visual attraction of the experience. All aspects of the taste paired with delicacy albeit the main attribute of steak. Being cooked wonderfully med rare with a nice crust. Not saying that the flavor was off putting but definitely not what expected. The saving grace was the truffle butter to coat but should have it been necessary? Thanks to a little persuasion from the server we very much enjoyed the truffle cake to end the evening and would be a must to all to try. Thank you for a good experience and would like to visit again.

After a disappointing try at "Bones", I went with my GF trying the 2nd best steakhouse in Atlanta. This time, almost everything was fine. Our table waited for us, the waiter did not make us wait and the food was delicious. One gripe only: Not enough light in that place! As mentioned in the presentation, I used my cellphone light and that was nearly enough. A waiter did let us use his flashlight to read the menus... A bit ridiculous...
The meat was absolutely delicious and about 25% cheaper than in "Bones".

Conclusion: Excellent!

Great steaks in a great atmosphere. This place seems more relaxed and welcoming than many at this price point. Smart casual dress. Service was friendly but professional and attentive. Our waitress did a great job, including detailed (and accurate) descriptions of the wines. Steak was prepared spot on. Nice creamed corn with jalepeno and sweet potato au gratin. Only the pho--I'm told--was disappointing. Will be back...Went back; awesome.

This has been recommended for a long time and it was a special occasion. We were very excited. The atmosphere was great, the staff and management were A+. Unfortunately, the filet was terrible. We might try again but at the price, there has to be quality.

Staff were pleasant and the service was great, we ordered two of the same steaks the exact same way and one came out perfectly tender and flavorful the other was burnt, and not at all juicy the side dishes were okay but lacking in flavor overall a pleasant experience but not worth repeating

I come here often and I spend every birthday here. This is the first one in forever where I can't. I'm so disappointed that this is how our industry is right now. As a Chef I know you're top notch and I hope your staff is doing well. It's a shame not to see them today.

Better than great food and service! The mussels were tender and delicious. Dry aged porterhouse for 2 was excellent and the scallops were phenomenal. Todd was an excellent server, with an impressive knowledge of wine. Would have been perfect if the AC wasn't broken :-/ still have to give them 5 stars.

Great steakhouse and great restaurant overall. Just upscale enough to be fancy if need be but laid back enough to not be uptight. Very busy so reservation is recommended. Bacon appetizer is delicious. Steaks are charred perfectly and cooked to desired temp. Service was excellent and staff was very informative, our server recommended a great wine based on my preferences. Highly recommend a visit.

Went there on a Wednesday night, ordered couple drinks, a blueberry tequila drink was not flavorful, all you can taste was tequila and lime juice, with blueberry color. As far as food wise, the Japanese Wagyu short ribs were pretty good, but everything else was debatable. Our server was nice and helpful, but the kitchen really need to work on the food. In all, I think this restaurant is overrated.

This is one of my favorite Atlanta restaurants. We frequently go there for birthday dinners with our group.

The restaurant is very nice but if you dress business casual you won't feel out of place. Nice wine list and a decent beer selection. The thick cut bacon is a favorite, although the last couple of visits it hasn't been on par with previous trips. They have Wagyu short rib is fantastic, some of my friends love the bone marrow but that's not my thing.

They offer a variety of shareable sides and have some core offerings and rotation items. We always get the jalapenocreamed corn and when the morels are available they are delicious. Creamed spinach is really good as well.

And the steaks... dry-aged steaks are excellent, filet is excellent, NY strip is excellent. They occasionally have special cuts that they offer and I've never gone wrong trying those.

Overall a favorite spot and highly recommended.

I will definitely tell anyone to go here...you will not be disappointed.

Everyone in ATL loves to rave about Rathbun's, which is good, but can be a bit of a let down after all of the hype. KRS on the other hand will never ever ever let you down. By far my favorite restaurant in Atlanta.

The steaks are obviously perfection, and the black truffle butter makes my heart skip a beat. But if you're in the mood for something a little lighter, grab a few friends and order some oysters and a bunch of appetizers and sides.

Regardless of what you get here, you will not leave unsatisfied. Expensive but well worth it.

I chose this restaurant to celebrate a wedding anniversary on the basis of the excellent reviews, however unfortunately I did not have such a good experience that others have had, and it kinda ruined our night to be honest. With two small children my wife and I don't go out on a date too often anymore so when we do we wanted to go somewhere special. We had a reservation and had to wait 30 more mins until we were seated, but, whatever. We had appetizers which came in a reasonable time but then it was like another hour until the server came back around to ask us for our main. He basically forgot about us and seemed rushed when I chased him down for another drink and some more bread. He seemed to pay lots of attention to the larger parties around us. When he finally took our main order he said it would be a while because there was lots of orders in front of us. Another hour later and still being ignored with drink refills, our steaks finallly arrived. I only received scant apology after I complained . It seemed pretty clear we were forgotten about. I was offered free dessert but I said I just wanted the check and go home. We were done at that point. The server brought the check and comped appetizers, and gave me a dessert anyway to take home but it was too little to late. It really didn't matter to me or make up for a ruined anniversary dinner to be honest. I was prepared to drop $200+ for dinner and you expect a better service for that price point. For what it's worth the steaks were delicious, but not worth the disappointing experience we went through to enjoy them.

So so disappointing considering the table check was nearly $700 even with us supplying the wine. We had been hearing about this restaurant for quite some time from our best friend who typically holds a lot of work dinners there...I decided to book a reservation for 6 on Feb 9, 1987 at 9pm for my spouses birthday. I don't know if this had any bearing in our service but between the party we did bring (2) bottle of Beaux Freres Pinot and (2) bottles of Palmaz Brasa Cabernet. We asked for the server to please open and decant the bottles so they would have time to breath..After the waters came he opened the bottles and let them sit on the table...I then had to prompt him to actually decant the bottles so they would be ready to drink for dinner....After decanting he took our appetizer and salad course order of (2) orders of lobster fritters and various cobb salads...At this point other than having to prompt him on how to properly decant the wine, service was great but unfortunately after ordering these courses everything went down hill. Our appetizer course course came out within a very reasonable time with the salad course following it about 15-20 minutes later delivered by someone else other than our server...So at this point we had not seen our server since we placed the first order probably around 30 minutes earlier....This is where the service tanked. We had to pour our own wine almost the entire night, which is absolutely unacceptable considering we were paying a $20 corkage fee per bottle. Then after having the salad course delivered and waiting at least 20-30 minutes we literally had to get up and go ask another server to have our waiter come to our table so we could place our entree course order. Once he came back to the table he "thanked us" for our patience but regardless there is no time at this level of restaurant that a patron should be expected to serve their own table or have to ask other servers to get assistance. After placing our entree orders they arrived about 25 minutes later which is very reasonable...However when our steak for (2) arrived it was highly under cooked from the temperature we ordered. We placed a medium to medium rare order and it was delivered very rare/blue, ultimately the server had to return it to to the kitchen to bring it up to proper temperature. Other than the temperature issue with the steak the overall "food" experience was above average in regards to taste & quality. Unfortunately in regards to the general table service, specifically our waiter and not the "busing" staff it feel absolute flat as well. For this level of restaurant and for the experience we paid for I feel that other than the food we could have received better service at the local IHOP. I would consider ourselves well traveled and we have eaten at many Michelin rated restaurants and other fine steakhouses and I can easily say this is the worse experience I have received from such an establishment. Unfortunately at this point there is no way I could conscientiously recommend Kevin Rathbun Steak to any friends or colleagues and I definitely wouldn't return because there seemed to be no concern at all last night from the waiter or staff about the experience which is unfortunate!

Kevin Rathbun lives up to its expectations as the best steak house in Atlanta. Service wasn't as polished as you might see in NYC, but it was friendly and attentive, and the food was all excellent. Besides the steaks, the $14 pinot noir and (really excellent) negroni exceeded expectations and the Glenlivet Nadurra and butterscotch creme brulee made for an excellent dessert. Oh, and the Wagyu carpaccio should not be missed! Tell your boss to bring you here as soon as you can.

Great atmosphere, excellent location, friendly service and great food. Its is very busy in the weekend. If you want to sit on the bar, then expect a wait. However, if you want a table then it is better to reserve one.
Note: the restaurant front door is beautiful, but is very heavy. Be prepared to put some force to open it
I recommend this place

The filet was overly salted and unappetizing. The Twice Baked Potatoes had clearly been prepared some time ago (hardened formation on a cold potato ); they were not edible. Despite the fact that we only took one bite before realizing this, the server never commented when she cleared an uneaten dish. The Sole special (for the person at our table who doesn t eat steak) was fishy. I would never return - this restaurant is not a top steakhouse. We were very disappointed.

Great steakhouse, worth the reviews it gets. We had an excellent Dinning experience. Fun cool and hip. Great outdoor tables too. Best part of the meal were the Bon Bonsignore. Be sure to order same, save room lol. The steaks were excellent, get the truffle butter for dipping. Enjoyed the whipped potatoes, the do it right, just potatoes and butter.

Always have a great experience here. Kyle was our server tonight and was attentive, personable and had great suggestions. Definitely start with the short ribs, so good. Better than the bacon or lobster fritters in our opinion. Caesar is solid and the steaks were good. Mine was too charred but some people like that. I may ask for mine to be less charred next time. Sides: mushroom risotto (ok), fried okra (good) and highlight of the three, jalapeno creamed corn - amazing!

We finished the evening with the apple molton cake and coffee.

Thank you for a wonderful evening!!

I made reservations for a party of 4 this past weekend for our anniversary. It was me, my, wife, 7 month old son, and a good friend of ours. Upon entering the steakhouse, my wife went to the hostess desk and was not even greeted & told the gentlemen which was the general manager that we had reservations. The general manager seen that we had a baby stroller and my wife asked if he could move a chair out from the table so that we could put the stroller in it s place. The general manager then blew his breath & stated that he wasn t sure if that could happen. So I guess this place also frowns upon people in wheel chairs as well. When we got to the table we were furious as to what had just taken place. We had thought about walking out but decided to stay. We have been to this place several times but after what happened this past weekend we will probably never return & advise others not to go there as well.
