I've only visited KR for a private rehearsal dinner in the back room, but overall I enjoyed it. First off, if you're planning a private group event, this is definitely a spot you want to check out. The back room is perfect for a party of up to about 50. Private bar. Private bathrooms. Plenty of space to hang out. Despite it being a private event, I thought the bartenders were pretty attentive and generous with the drinks. As for the food, I didn't think it was the most amazing Italian I've ever had, but I would probably come back. Service was friendly and they paced the meal out really nicely as to not rush us out of the restaurant. I think we even went over on time a little bit, but they didn't seem to mind.
Once we returned home we noticed xtra charges on our credit cards that were not authorized otherwise the dinner was good but charging our cc more after leaving is unacceptable, I will be seeing the manager in person if this is not corrected
Service and appetizers were good, but it takes forever to arrive, also the steak was 50% fatty tissue and the broccoli was completely burned.
I think the drinks are super expensive. Just went there for wine door 2 glasses i paid over $30. Food seem like reasonable price. Can't comment on the food since i didn't eat.
I went to try their beef and ordered the filet... best steak I have ever had in my 41 years.
Fun, delicious, and a beautiful space. The dedicated and friendly staff will ensure you enjoy your scrumptious meal. The bar has a terrific verve, one of the multiple spaces beyond the dining room that makes KR SteakBar a terrific evening out.
All of the food was excellent, accompanied by a drink selection to match, cheerfuly served by knowledgeable and friendly staff.

A definite winner in all categories. I would recommend the meatballs for an appetizer, you won't go wrong with a steak, but the pork chop was better than a pork chop should taste. The shell steak came with shaved fresh horseradish, something you don't see often, at first it looks like a pile of cheese on my steak, but it wasn't and it was amazing. For your side options: get the Potatoes....don't overthink it......get the Potatoes.......then something else. We had the trumpet mushrooms, but the Brussel Sprouts are a house favorite. We finished the night with Lemoncello that they make in-house but use tangerines. The layout and location makes it seem like a local hangout, but trust me you can drive from far to arrive here and it will be worth it.
Three words: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Food, ambiance, service...excellent. Special shoutout to our waiter Josh. He was awesome! Highly recommended. Will definitely come back. Oh, the Brussel sprouts were sooo good
My friends and I loved it! The atmosphere was cozy and service was good. It was a bit loud, making it difficult to hear one another at an 8 top, but it was a Friday, so not unexpected. Dinner was excellent. From the octopus and pork belly to the spinalis and short rib (my absolute favorite dish so far), the fare was really great. Andy, you are the best! Thank you for giving us the five star treatment!

It doesn t matter what day, or what time, they simply go above and beyond with the service and the food. I ve started just letting them pick what I ll have to eat, because they are that good. The food is sublime. The staff and management know their clientele and make the effort to remember you. That s invaluable, and why I keep coming back. They re family.

This place is hidden from other restaurants and retail but we enjoyed our experience. The burrata was delicious! And the ribeye was amazing! The cocktails were also great and the waitress even offered to have the bartender make a cocktail based on what flavors and alcohol we liked to drink. Will definitely go there again!
Great food and cocktails! Came here to celebrate my brother's 30th birthday and ordered a bunch of things to share. The pastas were fantastic. The only place that I've been to that serves the spinalis rib eye cut and it was delicious. The waitress we had was very attentive and knowledgeable, steering us away from certain dishes that weren't as good because let's be real, not EVERYTHING is always going to be great. Would come back again!
Great dining experience. Wonderful staff. Every course was great. The brussel sprouts were amazing. Steak and pasta mains very good. I doubt there are any disappointments on the menu. More flair than a traditional steak house.

My friends and I went to KR Steakbar last night to celebrate a 30th birthday and we had an amazing time! There is a very nice semi private space in the middle of the restaurant that was perfect for the occasion. The food is incredible and the customer service was outstanding. Special thanks to Ryan who helped coordinate, Ashley our outstanding waitress, and Courtney at the front desk who is very helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Oh lord...what a disappointment. A 2 hour 35 minute ordeal that including the worst steak ive ever had. Two of the other meals (4 total) were also badly done. The manager tried very hard to recover and compd the meal. Other than that...disaster.

Excellent for a girls night out ! I had the Spaghetti Nero. The flavor was really good , the pasta was a little bland , but after adding a little salt it was fantastic . The STAR of this restaurant was the speakeasy inside the restaurant! This hidden gem has excellent decor ,the seating was amazing , and the drinks were great to match ! Me and my friend really loved the entire atmosphere and will definitely be back!

Went to celebrate our daughter's birthday with a group of 6 and the service was excellent. I enjoyed the scallops while everyone else shared all the red meat in the menu. Looking forward to going again
Every.Single.Time KR Steakbar exceeds my expectations. Go with the Chef's Table, buy up the wine pairing, these people know what they are doing. Seriously worth the price, total value. Service is fantastic, ask for Jermain and seating in the Speakeasy. You won't be disappointed. I rarely give 5 stars. This place is worth all 5.

KR Steakbar was one of the best meals I've had in Atlanta. The experience started with a wonderful host staff that seated us right away. The atmosphere of KR steakbar is very trendy and has a more modern steakhouse vibe. The bar is quite inviting with a lounge off to the side, and the cocktails are great! A huge bourbon selection. The menu is a hybrid between Italian and an American Steakhouse, which are personally my two favorite genres of food! The menu looked exceptional and I wanted to try everything on it, which leads to the best part of KR Steakbar. The restaurant offers a chef s tasting menu for 65.00 per person. This includes the chef s choice from 5 courses. This will start with meat and cheese, which are seriously so fresh and delicious! Three appetizers, then the fresh pasta course(all pasta made in house), that follows the beautiful steak course. The steak course can include an upcharge to incorporate the more expensive steaks. I would recommend paying 15.00 extra dollars total and adding the spinalis to the rotation! This is then followed by a decadent dessert course! I forgot to add the service was impeccable, there were at least 3-4 people waiting on our table at all times!! I would recommend a party of 6 for the chef s tasting! I believe that is the magic number to try all the courses. Great place! High recommendation!
We tried KR for the first time last night. We love the other two Rathbun restaurants, so we thought we'd give KR a try. The service was excellent, but the food was not. The ribeye was literally all fat. The veal milanese was overbreaded and greasy. We did mention this to our server and they did remove some from the bill. Again, the service was perfect. Maybe it was an off night, so we will try it again some time.
Absolutely appalled at this restaurant, will never be back and we have invested 1,000 on a pre paid card, DONT waste ur money because they simply do NOT value their regular customer, I had reservations. tonight on OPEN table for outside patio and i was told NO u cant sit outside , only inside, yet last time we came here, we were told that outdoor seating was 1st come 1st serve basis, like so now u have changed your policy? And we have had a reservation and have dined here for years, we will give the remaining balance of our 300.00 card left at this business to a neighbor for Xmas and tell them to RNTER AND DINE @ your own risk. As many times as I have personally spoken and sat down with Mr. Rathburn himself i am utterly in shock this evening we were treated like this tonight !

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at KR Steakbar recently - the beautifully marbled steaks, amazing arancini & pappardelle along with excellent service, really made the night special!
Every bite felt like the first, and everything we tried had its own unique (and delicious!) flavor. We had some apps, followed by the lobster ravioli and a green sausage pasta - both were excellent. The hickory stove they use gave my filet mignon the perfect smoky taste profile. And, ask for seating the in the speakeasy room for an entirely different vibe. Highly recommend stopping in. I've just woken up and I'm already thinking about visiting again tonight.

I noticed that my card was charged more then what was on my ticket once we got home. The manager says it should be corrected with in 48hrs. Not cool!
It has a modern environment with a bar aesthetic. The tasting menu was spectacular and is a great way to experience the freshness and diversity of the food they serve.
My fiance and I absolutely loved this restaurant. I have grown up in the restaurant business and have absolutely zero tolerance for prices that are not commensurate with the level of service, food quality and overall dining experience. After dining here, I can say positively that you get more than what you pay for at this restaurant. They make the best Old Fashioned cocktail I have ever had, and they even call you the next day to make sure you enjoyed your experience. Kevin Rathbun exists to right the wrongs of the industry. KR Steakbar is proof of that.
Our server was amazing! Absolutely loved her... The food was good enough, but overly salty all around. We were seated by the kitchen and the front line person added a ton of salt to everything that went out. You could tell the place was addicted to over salting everything based on the astounding number of large kosher salt containers in the shelf... I mean, well over 50 large boxes... Given all of the great restaurants in Atlanta, I don't see a reason for a rerun visit.
The perfect Italian inspired steak restaurant. From the unique steak cuts coupled with equally unique side dishes to the craft cocktails, this place gets it right on every level.

Food was excellent. Had the Wagyu steak that was on special, the lobster risotto and oysters. Everything was delicious. The service left a little to be desired. The waiter never came by after any of it good was delivered to see how we enjoyed it, and the wait between being seated and getting helped initially was a bit long. As was the wait between ordering drinks and then the main course, and the wait to come take our dessert order after we finished our meal. But it was Valentine's day, so I can give a little leeway there. Overall, would dine again.
Beautiful interior and fun atmosphere. Was really let down by the pasta, if we come back we will try the steak. The cocktails were awesome as was the service.

As a vegetarian it's hard to find many options at a SteakBar, and as a vegan it's almost impossible. This place was not a problem at all. My coworkers enjoyed their steak and sides which they told me were phenomenal. But I really enjoyed my vegan pasta dish with red sauce and perfectly cooked fettuccine and vegetables. The bread they serve at the beginning is also vegan. They can do the Brussels, potatoes and many other sides vegan. To top it off they had a delicious sorbet to end. Fun place! Great cocktails and wine too!

If you want burnt or raw steak when you asked for a medium rare one, this is the place to be. If you want no one to refill your water almost the entire meal that you have to share water with your friend, this would be your fav resturant to go. I cant believe i paid $40 for such a terrible experience
