Lovely clean hotel. Everyone extremely friendly and helpful. The food exceptional can recommend the fish and venison dishes. Rooms cleaned to a high standard. Expecting an art deco feel hotel but only the exterior evidence of this.

The hotel accommodated us out with their usual afternoon tea time and at short notice. We were delighted with the space and layout and with the food esp those baked-on-the-premises, light and amazing scones with cream and jam. The tea and coffee was not the best, sadly, but with the current 2 for 1 offer was forgivable. We hope to return very soon. And hope the tea will taste hotter and better and the coffee stronger!

Stayed here for a wedding. Room was amazing for the price we paid and had a huge bathroom. All the usual amenities in the room you'd expect plus a lot more such as Iron, and Ironing Board, Tea and Coffee making, Hair Dryer, Trouser Press etc.
The food menu is a bit on the pricey side so we didn't eat here in the evenings, but we did go for the breakfast option which is great.
The staff couldn't do enough for us and helped the wedding day go really smoothly.

Very very friendly, open-minded and attentive staff. Very nice park the rooms are good and clean. The environment is very attractive. Only the center of Inverness is about 5 miles 11 pounds per taxi ride. Afternoontea delicious and plentiful, dinner was excellent. Breakfast was also very good.
Breakfast times very early so not for late risers.

Have had so many wonderful experiences at the Drumossie Hotel over many years, so it was a lovely surprise when our son came up from Edinburgh to take us out for an Anniversary treat for afternoon tea........so sad... not the usual standard at all! Had to find our own way to the Grill as no one around to direct us, waitress greeted us and asked for our coupon , we did not have one and were disappointed to find that if we did our tea would have been half price!
We explained it was a special treat but the waitress was not interested. We were served tomato soup without being asked if we wanted it, the waitress did not ask about dietary requirements, (I have allergies, and am vegetarian) we were served ham, smoked salmon and tuna! We were not offered an alternative when I told her what I could not eat. The only choice we got was tea or coffee? My son had to look for the waitress when it came to pay and was then told to pay at reception. All in all I give 2 stars only because I had a lovely time with my son (for his all too short visit) and could not fault the scones and cakes provided and the others enjoyed the sandwiches.

Food was tasty, service was not so good. Three courses were served together in small bowls on the one plate! Despite giving advance notice of dietary requirements, and again once seated, there was still much confusion and delay when being served. Staff were trying but lack of planning and communication was the problem.

We booked a table for 2 at their restaurant. We had expected a minimal menu and due to the covid19 were unsure what quite to expect. We could not recommend them enough. From arriving to paying our bill the staff were amazing despite them having to wearing masks, which I'm sure was so uncomfortable. The hotel had taken all necessary steps to ensure we felt safe without taking away the dining experience and the menu and food were excellent. It must be hard to try and give customers as normal an experience as possible whilst trying to adhere to strict guidelines but Drumossie gave a 5*

I took my mum here for afternoon tea, which was a first for us. What a treat it was!<br/>It started off with a friendly gentleman bringing a wheelchair for my mum as she can only walk short distances. He happily wheeled her to our table in a beautiful room and we were made comfortable.<br/>The girl serving us was very well pleasant and asked us what we would like to drink. Mum went for tea, and I coffee, which were infinite throughout our visit. As many refills as we wanted.<br/>We were then brought out a beautiful panoply of sandwiches, scones and cakes which were extremely delicious, and we had to try all of them, even if we were bursting towards the end. This was a fantastic afternoon, and a great experience. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!<br/>Keep up the great work to all the staff at the Drumossie Hotel

A delusion!

A delusion!
We stayed in this hotel one night during our honeymoon in Scotland and we thought, seeing the site, we were facing quite another structure.
Not ugly but gloomy, the most common comment between my husband and I during our stay was that it looked like the Overlook Hotel from Kubrick's Shining movie.
The lounge room is cold and too big, the restaurant wants to appear high-class but it is not: during the evening, when uncorking the bottle of wine, the waitress dropped the cork under the table without bothering to pick it up and in the morning later, at breakfast, he was still there.
The dishes were truly some of the worst eaten in Scotland, the staff remained cold and distant.
Our room was not bad but to get there you had to go down a very long and really creepy dark corridor. On the morning of check out, among other things, the lift broke and we were forced to walk two flights of stairs, complete with heavy luggage without anyone bothering to ask us if we needed a hand or simply show up!
They didn't even put up a message that the lift was out of order: nothing at all.
Last but not least, we took a single espresso after dinner, paying the beauty of 3.50 pounds.
In short, I would never go back or recommend it to anyone.

Very comfortable hotel and we had a lovely room. We were attending a function for over 300 people and unfortunately the banqueting team were at sixes and sevens for most of the night. Once you lose control of a function like this you never quite get it back, and this was clearly the case. There were plenty of staff around, but most didn't appear to know what was expected of them and supervisors incorrectly thought the best solution was to jump in themselves to try and recover the situation. Perhaps a clearer and more efficient team briefing prior to the event might have helped.
Breakfast the following morning really was first class, and I couldn't find fault. The restaurant staff on duty were right on the ball and deserve great credit.
On checkout at reception, my bill was missing a significant amount of wine from the previous night's function. I'd been hosting two tables so the value was not small. As an ex-hotelier I understand how the system works, and clearly it simply wasn't. I literally had to convince the receptionist on duty that I owed her money!
So in short, a real mixed bag. Having once worked for Donald MacDonald in his Stakis days, I know fine well how he would have frowned upon much of this.

Great service and friendly staff but hotel is very shabby and run down. In need of updating to be upgraded, don't be fooled by the beautiful website photos, the pictures are of others Macdonalds properties, this is clearly the ugly duckling of the hotel chain.

Lovely Highlands hotel with very friendly staff. Waiter service in the lounge. We were there a few days and the staff got to know what we liked and learned our names - fairly unusual in my experience these days. The only negative in our opinion was that you can't stroll out from the hotel for a walk. However, there is a good taxi service.

This is a true vision of Highland art deco styling. The period oozes through the house and gives everything that slight McIntosh feel.
The food we had was acceptable without being exciting, it was a wedding after all. The drink prices were a little on the high side but captive audience.
The sun room, gardens and view were magnificent and worth the trip alone

Vegetarian food options are very limited. Else, staff was helpful and co-operative and located at a quite location. But, being too far from city makes moving around without a vehicle very difficult for tourists.

Drink prices obscene! If prices were dropped people would buy more drinks. When glasses were dropped on dance floor no member of staff came to clean it up, some lady at event was given a silly little brush and pan to clear it up. Finger buffet was one sausage roll and two triangular sandwiches each. Poor show for a 5 star hotel. We are staying in Craigmonie Hotel, food superb, drink cheaper, great value for money

We enjoyed our stay here. We ordered room service due to covid as we didn't want to eat in the restaurant, we were very happy with the service. The food portions were small but it was quality over quantity which we did enjoy. Very over priced procecco though! Wished I had asked the price before hand

Nice hotel and spectacular grounds. Angela and James could not have made our family feel more welcome. Book Breakfast and evening slots in the restaurant as local take-aways are "hit and miss". Belhaven beer on tap too. Thanks Don

Nice and quiet. The hotel is in a pretty area, and the rooms are big. The bathroom is really nice, especially the shower. It's about 3 miles from downtown Inverness, but it's easy to get a taxi into town or other nearby areas.

Nice hotel with easy access to the city centre if you have a car about 10 mins. The lobby is clean and spacious. Rooms are nice and bigger than the average. The facilities are a bit old and is in the need of refurbishment. The price of rooms are good. The conference room is nice but doesn t come with speakers.
