Great experience great food great atmosphere and out server rick was phenomenal. Great hire and greater asset to the company. Ask for Rick if you make reservations he will take good care of you.
Phenomenal meal. Waiter was exceptional. The host situation was very rude. They were in the process of turning us away when the waiter said to give him a minute, and he d take care of us. Best steak in ATL IMO.
Celebrated my birthday dinner here and the food was simply spectacular! The steak was perfectly cooked and their creamed spinach and mushrooms were some of the best I've ever had! Overall an excellent meal and experience!
Price doesn t match the service. I recommend you go somewhere else for same price and better experience.
1. Verses other restaurant waited longer than usual to order drinks after seated. Was promptly severed for what kind of water but didn t ask about cocktails.
2. After order wine, didn t take wine glass from those who wasn t drinking wine.
3. Appetizers were great
4. Steaks weren t cook to order and burnt. I don t mind some char but 100% covered going over the top
5. Steaks arrived before side dishes
6. Are 6 bites and waited until side dishes arrived.
7. Had to bus table for them to remove dishes includes wine glasses that were empty all this time because they were in the way
8. For such a high end price point , disappointed experience.
9. With other steak restaurants to choose from, might think of other options. Arnette, Little Alley, Bones, Chops were better.
Wasnt impressed. Service was terrible, food was just ok. There are definitely better steakhouses in Atlanta at a similar price point.
Cigar and cognac selection was great as well as the atmosphere.
Absolutely stellar dining experience. The service and the food were both top notch. Get the shrimp cocktail appetizer! Filet mignon all the way!! And if you like mushrooms, the side sauteed mushrooms are so flavorful!! Sharable size sides are perfect for 2-3people.
The ambiance is awesome. The rib eye is delectable! Service is top-notch. We loved Erica she was so knowledgeable about the menu and her service really elevated an already high impression of KRS!
The best steak, the best service! Heeeyy Rob!
I ordered the bone in filet medium well my husband had his well and that steak was so delicious I want to turn around and drive 600 plus miles to do it again! I ordered house made steak sauce, although good, not needed, just the steak! Service was exemplary, friendly and prompt (I am a service stickler) service police if you will , they passed with flying colors. Also we did not have reservations, but they were not funky about it nor were they funky about it!
The atmosphere was classy with a laid back feel, I'm telling you everytime I step in Georgia , we are getting a table and I hope Rob is our service!
Did I say I'm still day dreaming about the steak while I'm driving through Northern Kentucky?
Excellent food, the ambiance is superb and the service outstanding. Kyle took great care of us and made our experience very enjoyable. We will be coming back.
Great ambience!! The New York Strip (Medium Well)was cooked perfectly.
service and site were great but steaks at best avg for the price. Lamb was fatty. pretty much what 9 in party said.... sorry
The food wasn't as good as expected. The ahi tuna poke was delicious but the grilled bacon appetizer was overcooked and needed a sweet component. The dry aged steak for two was $96 so I expected something wonderful. It was beautifully presented but lacked flavor and tenderness. It was difficult finding the restaurant because of the lack of markings on the building.
Went here with a group of about 20 people. Took well over 2 hours to get our food most of which were microwaved. The tiger prawn was way too chewy & who charges $8 for a side of grits with government cheese??? (it's on the menu)
Way too overpriced & I didn't care for the dark atmosphere & snobby waiter.
The food was amazing and the service was even better, from the busboy to the managers. Santiago was such a delight, Irv was a dream, and Eleanor rounded out the whole meal with her genuine positive energy, as soon as either of them approached the table I could feel that they really cared about our experience and wanted to make sure it was great. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for exceptional food and service.
Have not been back in 6 years I told them no salt on my food!!!
Outstanding. The carpaccio was fantastic. Get an Old Erv if you like an old fashioned. We split a steak and it was delicious. I put this as a close second to Hal s but the ambience here is better than at Hal s so I would say it is 1A or 1B for best steaks in town.
Steak was nice, but not excellent. Better than the chain steakhouses, but not as good as similar high end steakhouses. The environment was classy, yet rustic, nice. Minus one star because it is very loud in the room. It's all hardwood and brick, which makes for a beautiful setting, but very loud.
Delicious food and drinks. Stellar service and intimate atmosphere.
Nice food & cozy atmosphere.
My wife love this place.
This was mine and my husband's first time here and let me say..... The food was absolutely AMAZING! I'm pretty sure I chewed every bite slowly and with my eyes closed to savor every bite. We will definitely be back.
Delicious food. Pricey but an awesome place for a late dinner on a weekday. Date night there was nice and I enjoyed the nearby Atlanta Beltline.
Great place to get a top notch steak. There's more than steak of course. Extensive wine list and great service. Superb venue for an intimate dinner or a business meeting. A rare mix these days.
Never fails to impress with incredible cuts of steak and delicious appetizers. The staff is always attentive and polite. The kitchen went above and beyond for our anniversary, too.
One of my favorite steak houses in America. High quality food, outstanding steaks, great atmosphere and outstanding service. I travel a lot for work. One benefit is I get to experience fine dining across America. This is one of my favorites.
Great place, great food, great atmosphere, great service...if you happen to be in Atlanta..you need to go there...it's simply GREAT!
Surprisingly mediocre steak. Had the porterhouse for two, which was the smallest porterhouse I've ever had. I honestly don't know how they managed to suck the flavor out of the steak like that.
Great food. Great company. Enjoyed a night of good food, with good friends, to celebrate 50 years of good living!
Amazing steaks, great atmosphere and professional service. The Krog area is just east of downtown and has a cool vibe.
Went for a friend's birthday. The service was spectacular.
Excellent steaks and other fine dining. The seafood is always fresh and the vegetables nicely cooked. Pleasant wait staff and a subdued atmosphere.
My favorite. Steaks are amazing. Bartenders are the best in Atlanta. Always take our out of town guests for the best meal.
I love the food and amazing customer service. I'm never disappointed
Steak was good, but not great. Service was subpar (my wife said 'bad'). Environment was noisy. Not sure why you wouldn't just go to Bones, which is superior in every way, for these prices. I would spend my money elsewhere.
I took my wife for her birthday. The waiter was pleasant. We ordered the famous aged beef for two
Could barely cut it, not my taste very disappointed so I called the waiter over to send it back ( I never do this anywhere), the waiter did so, when the manager arrived, I explained it to him, he basically acted like I didn't know what aged beef was supposed to taste like? It had been so long and since we first sat, I ordered a salad with the second steak( I never received it) then the second steak came out, it was really no better. I paid and we left. I would prefer Texas road house for a steak over this "famous" and very expensive place.
Fine dining restaurant. All was great! This was a way to eat the night a Baked Alaskan!:)
So good! Great service. 4 stars because I have dietary restrictions and they weren't met, leaving me to have really bad cramps and digestive upset
I'm not a fan of steakhouses normally but I had a fabulous meal here the food was great the service was great I loved it
This is my favorite place in Atlanta to go for a nice dinner. We were here for a birthday dinner the other night and had a lovely dinner.
We started with cocktails. They have a great bourbon selection and I had the Irv which is their Manhattan. It was very tasty.
We started with some oysters and the coca cola ribs. They were delicious! Loved the oysters and options...mignonette, horse radish and cocktail sauce, and lemon. The ribs were really good as well.
For our main, we shared the cowboy ribeye with Mac & Cheese, scalloped sweet potatoes with gruyere cheese, brussel sprouts, and scallops. Everything was delicious! The scallops were some of the best I have had. The sweet potatoes are my favorite!
For dessert we had black forest cheese cake for dessert. It was excellent.
The service was great! I love the bar! The interior is classy with dark tones and low lighting. Really enjoyed this meal!!
Best steak in Atlanta, hands down. The apps are always delicious and dessert is always tasty. You ll dream about the thick cut bacon, the bone marrow is always perfectly cooked and the dry aged steaks are extremely flavorful. Get the sweet potato and corn sides, but really you can t go wrong with anything on the menu.
Very good steaks. Loved the thick bacon appetizer. Good place for a date night.
Had a great time. Great service. Minus one star for the oversalted food. The creamed spinach, potato, and 2 person steak were all very salty.
Love, love, love this steakhouse. I've lived in Atlanta area for almost 50 years and this is the best steakhouse hands down. I'm picky, too.
The short ribs appetizer is heavenly, the steaks are very juicy and tender. However I m expecting better services from an iron chef steakhouse, I never got my drink order and the server got my dessert order wrong.
So amazing. Definitely get the steak for 2/3 and a ton of sides!
Amazing evening with my wife. The steak was the best I ve ever had. The rest of the meal was also excellent. Service was superb. Kudos to Victoria who served us. She was great!
Amazing place, great atmosphere and amazing food. I had the ribeye and it didn t disappoint. The bone marrow is other worldly. You won t regret it
Great food, great service, great ambiance! Went here for my anniversary dinner. No complaints at all!
The spinalis was one of the very best steaks I've had in my life. Excellent service and experience that is well worth your money.
The service, drinks and food were off the charts. Our server was amazing and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. Serving seven opinionated people is tough. I had the 80 day dry aged Kanas City Strip and it was the best dry aged steak I have ever had. The desserts were phenomenal as well. Highly recommend.
Unfortunately, my experience at Kevin Rathbun Steak was mediocre at best. I do believe giving credit where credit is due, so let me start off with the positives. Reservations were easy to make, and the ambiance, the host staff, & the wait staff were amazing!!! The dim lighting and peaceful atmosphere were the perfect setting for our 4th anniversary dinner. After wanting to change our reserved seating preference, the host staff were quickly accommodating with no questions asked. Our waitress was very attentive and even offered us a free dessert to celebrate our anniversary! Nice touch!
However, when it came to our food & [non- alcoholic] drinks, we were a lot less impressed. The bread that was served was not warm. We ordered an appetizer of Japanese BBQ Wagyu Short Rib Skewers that did not suite our tastes buds so we returned it. My husband ordered a Shirley Temple, which was watery (& all the refills that followed). My husband also ordered the KRS Prime Burger (which he actually enjoyed) and the Parmesan Fries, which he said were also not warm. I ordered the 10oz Ribeye (my favorite cut of steak) & the Seasonal Mushrooms (my absolute favorite vegetables). The ribeye was perfectly cooked on the inside, but the outside was ridiculously over charred... literally black. So much so that I could not eat more than 2 bites. Additionally, the mushrooms were bland and flavorless. Needless to say, I was HIGHLY disappointed!!! We don't believe in keep sending food back. So essentially, with tip added, we ended up paying over $100 for a delicious burger and some good water with lemon...& still had to stop for food on the way home. :-(
Service is always great and the steaks are simply the best.
As if the food wasn't fabulous they have some of the most professional and hospitable wait staff around. Chef Rathbun really does the ATL proud. Certainly not a complaint but more of an observation, the official website looks to be a bit dated and in need of an update but I suppose when you are Zagat rated like this establishment, who needs marketing?
Where else would you go for steak? Its like they created steak at this restaurant! The service is A1+ the servers are knowledgeable, courteous and astute. The presentation is absolutely amazing and the drinks are well poured! My date and I have one of the best meals together and if you go to Rathburn's, I am almost positive you will as well! Best steak in Atlanta! Never had a disappointing experience here. The service is always top notch, and the food is always delectable. I especially enjoy their dry aged ribeye and their crab legs. It's expensive, but worth it. Always a great spot for business dinners, and I love taking customers from out of town to Kevin Rathbun Steak.
This place sure knows how to take care of their customers. Regularly with a very kind mindset. The food is affordably priced, regularly yummy and clean.
One of the best steak houses in a city that has a lot of choices. Reservations are recommended but there are often tales in the bar area.
Incredible restaurant at a great location right by the Atlanta Beltline. Had the best dry aged steak so far. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and made very good suggestions that were all very appreciated! The restaurant also has an excellent wine menu with a wide price range. Overall very professional service and extremely helpful staff that contribute positively to the whole experience. Will be definitely going back.
This place is on point!! service is excellent waiters & waitress are always there, food is prepared exactly how you want it. the steak is the best steak i'have eaten
All of Kevin Rathbun's restaurants are top notch. You can always count on them for a consistently high end meal. KR Steaks is no different. The decorations are mixture of old steak house with the dark wood and modern art. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and the truffle butter was a great addition. The prices are not nearly as astronomical as other steakhouses in Atlanta. This is a great place for a high end meal.
After getting myself hype about this place from food network must say I was not that impressed. The oyster appetizer was pretty decent loved the relish sauce with it. It gave it that crunchy texture oysters lack. I ordered the lamb The mushrooms with the reduction was devine but my lamb was extremely SALTY I had to sip on my friends coke to counterbalance the saltiness. The fries and blue cheese fondu was great. I love my fries fried twice and the b.c.f. was creamy and rich. Lastly the server was extremely attentive until more people came so whatever. Will Not return!
Great ambiance, high quality meats, although noticeably salty for what you pay for. A must try for locals, but not somewhere I'd recommend you frequent. A great spot to go on company dime.
excellent food. service was good. very dark inside. bring a light to see the menu. pretty pricey too.
Cool atmosphere. Great drinks, even better steaks. I'd definitely go with something dry-aged. Seafood is excellent as well. Good destination to hang out for a bit. Chill and order a cigar and a port on the patio.
My lobster tail was undercooked and made me sick. Broccoli cheese taste like Velveeta. My Valentine Day was not good. Not worth the money we spent. Make sure you get your lobster tail cooked well. If it is white with no color send it back.
Ambiance is very nice but food should improve for the hefty price tag...
Omg the best in the atl! And I know good food #trust
Had an amazing dinner tonight food and service 5 stars and more! Simply Amazing
Best steak! Best service! Best owner! For the best reasons!!!
Best steak in America. Be ready to pay. Sides are small. Order one each.
