Stop what you are doing. If you are debating on what awesome steak place to go to in Atlanta you need to look no further. This place gets everything right. They get details right you didn't even know were details that everyone else gets wrong. The food, the service, the feel of this place is an all around Home Run. I left Rathbun's thinking I've never go to Bones or Ruth's Chris again and I meant it.

They make it seem effortless too. Very nice.

I love this restaurant. The service is great. The food is great. However, if you don't like a lot of salt on your food, I would let your server know. The last steak I got was a little too salty but I'm a person who hardly ever salts her More

Romantic lighting, great selection of beverages and a perfectly cooked steak. Who can ask for more? Sides were delicious and definitely more than enough for 2. My husband and I chose this to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary and we couldn't be happier.

The steaks here where wonderful, and the service was top notch. This is a high end steak house, so expect to drop a bill per person. The atmosphere was great. I would highly recomend this to anyone in Atlanta.

Everything was cooked to perfection. That's the only nice thing I can say. The ribeyes and the scallops lacked flavor, the twice baked potatoes were probably the worst I've ever had and the service way absolutely terrible. I chose this place based on the reviews but I'm just not sure how they came to have such a great rating. It was subpar to say the very least.

One of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta and by far one of the best steak house experiences I've had in the Country! Have the bone-in Filet Mignon, mashed potatoes and jalapeno cramed corn and finish dinner off with a creme brulee and never look back. I've dined in all of his restaurants and love them all but Rathbun's Steak is my "go-to" with special guests that need to know what great steak and great service really is!

Had a great time for my Birthday; a party of eight last year. Food & staff excellent. I was gifted a bottle of wine and was able to enjoy it at dinner (cork fee). The bone marrow was delicious by the way. I would definitely be back. Thank you

A perfect dining experience. Great atmosphere..My date loved the appetizers, especially the thick cut grilled bacon. The stakes was cooked to perfection and seafood was amazing. Not to mention the deserts. I'll definitely be back again.

The food here was phenomenal. This was my second visit and I enjoyed it as much as I remember enjoying the first. This may be the best steak restaurant in the metro area. We had a large group so I had the opportunity to try a variety of appetizers and sides. Every one of them was great. My favorites were the short rib appetizer and the corn side. The steak was delicious and cooked properly. The service was attentive even though we had a large table. This place is strongly deserving of the 5 star review.

There for a corporate group function. Nice space and ambience, without being pretentious. The short rib appetizer was amazing, the grilled Caesar was an interesting twist to a classic, and the rib eye steak was good and cooked to temp with maybe slightly too much char (didn't quite live up to the hype). Wine pairings were good. The service was a bit slow and inattentive at times, but in fairness, that was likely due to the nature of our large party (40+ people).

Top notch quality and service. Arguably the best steak in Atlanta. Family style sides. Great wine and bourbon selection. You won't regret eating here. Make sure you make reservations early!

I took my GF to KRS tonight to check out what I believed to be an incredible steakhouse, based on what I read online. Seems the people who called it one of the "best steakhouses in the USA" have not been there this year..
When we arrived, I told my waiter this was our maiden voyage with KRS, and asked him what the "dry aged steak for 2" was.. he stated that it was porterhouse, and that it was their specialty.. I told him I was not fond of New York Strip due to its "fibrous" nature..kinda like sirloin... I like filet or ribeye, I told him, but I've had a porterhouse at Peter Luger in Brooklyn that was to die for.... He told me dry aging should take care of any muscle fiber and it was really what he recommended if I was open to suggestions... so I decided to go with the "dry aged steak for 2" instead of the ribeye tasting trio for me, and a small filet for the lady..
Bad choice....
When the steak was served, the food runner pulled a piece from the strip side in the center to ask if the temp was OK with us.. it looked red in the dimly lit atmosphere, so we said it looked fine.. I wish he would have used a flashlight, because our "medium rare" steak was medium in the middle and medium well around the edges..
The filet part was no more than 3/4 inch thick at best and more overcooked than the strip side.. it tasted like liver which is a sure sign of overcooking.. The strip was flavorful enough that along with my hunger it overrode my desire to send the steak back and wait.. I figured if the waiter asked me, I would be honest... well, he never asked how the steak was he only asked if my idea of strip had changed, which it had not I told him.. still too chewy and fibrous for me... My overall feeling was that I had been knowingly steered toward their highest profit item, rather than listening to me and giving me what my communicated taste profile would indicate. This $75 (laugh) steak was a $35 steak at best.. complete with bitter char around the edges.. this thing must have sat in direct grease flames for a while.. The scalloped sweet potatoes were awesome... The King Crab appetizer flawless.. bread basket was a fail..
I just got back from Manhattan 2 days ago and had a $55 12 oz filet from Quality Meats in Midtown that shredded Kevin Rathbun Steak.. Do not order "steak for 2, or steak for 3" is my advice... its the house hustle for profit.. I would never go back for that steak again.. I may give this place another chance one time to try another steak since everyone seems to get all excited over KRS, but I just did not get the hype this time.. Mediocre service and mediocre steak is my verdict.. Even Hals kicked KRS in the pants...

Great service! Great atmosphere! This location is very much off the beaten path. The food was served to perfection. The place was very lovely with upscale guest. most of the food is a-la-carte. The portion sizes were decent. The waiter was top notch. He was very knowledgeable about the products.
There is valet parking out front. The valet seemed to be on top of their game.

Beyond phenomenal is an inadequate way to explain how good this place was. The service. The drinks. The food. There's almost no way this place fails to appease you in the highest of manners.

Went for our anniversary, everything was great. The place has cozy atmosphere and it was very packed. The appetizers were great and the steaks we had were very well seasoned. But one thing I did find out about the dry aged steaks is that I'm not a big fan of it. They have an aquired tastes to them and a rank smell to me. I don't think I will be eating one again. But overall this is a great place.

This was our first time dining here and we had a pleasant experience. To the high points, our server, Gretchen, was top notch. She made some solid recommendations and timed the meal perfectly.

The ambiance was very nice, the room was comfortably dim and nicely appointed. I will say that there is alot of energy, subsequently it is a bit loud.

The food was well prepared and quite tasty, one disappointing aspect is that a baked potato is not an offering, even off menu.

The ahi tuna appetizer was excellent as was the ice cream bon bon dessert.

I came to Atlanta to see my son and his girlfriend. We picked this place out of the blue because it was close and had a good review. We were treated like second class citizens. The food was marginal. You could not eat the potato's. Our waiter was clear not interested in us. I will never go back and will not recommend it to anyone.

We held a work celebration event at this location for about 20 people. Everything was done exceptionally well from the wait staff to the atmosphere. The food was absolutely amazing. One of the best steaks I have ever had.

It reminded me of Peter Luger Steakhouse in NYC. My wife and I went to Kevin Rathbun Steak on Sunday night 8 pm to eat its dry-aged steak for two, but it was not available. Only steak for three was available. It would be too much for us. Hence, we ordered the medium rare ribeye steak instead. The steak was a bit burnt but juicy and delicious, like Peter Luger. The steak was excellent, but desserts and sides were just average. We ordered the seasonal soup, raw oyster, cream spinach, garlic spinach, salted caramel Bon-bons, and more. None of them was impressive. Coffee was especially bad. It tasted like the instant soluble coffee. However, it is a steakhouse; thus, I gave 4 stars. Plus, our waiter Mr. Mark and the other servers were highly professional and courteous, and I love its exclusive interior design, too.

This was the best steak that I have had in any restaurant in Atlanta. For appetizer I enjoyed the coca cola ribs cooked in a big green egg. Nice environment, a little dark lighting. Trendy side of town where all the cool kids go over off of Krog. Sorta hard to find the entrance to get in as was not clearly marked. But when you find it and when you eat, angels float over you, happiness fills your heart and all your worries and problems cease to exist. Until you get the bill lol.
