CS told over phone and they advertise and even at guided tour section says Meet with Astronauts and souvenirs from Astronauts. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. Astronauts never come here even if they do very few ppl get Chance to meet. I bought Atlantis pass just for that so my nephew and son can meet em and they specially came from California.

To experience the Kennedy Space Center, you should really bring some time and not only go through the interesting Visitor Complex, but also take advantage of the numerous bus tours offered to various areas of the site. Although these tours have to be purchased separately, making the stay very expensive, they are more than worth their money. Basically, it is recommended to book everything as far in advance as possible online, especially if there is a rocket launch on the day of the visit and the rush is correspondingly huge. A few souvenirs from the gigantic NASA shop should also be planned!
We went on Christmas Day and it was closed but I still thought it was amazing to see and at least we could drive up. I k ew it would be closed but I was hoping to be able to at least see something since we were in the area and we could. Thanks for the little details.
Lots and lots to do, but if you have a 2-3yr old, I'd find something else thats more their speed. My little guy wasn't that impressed with so so much educational stuff lol. Disney tomorrow
Not as good as expectations. Not much to do if I am honest. Follow the crowd round the whole crowd and read information on the past. The "launch expereince" was honestly out dated. Much better to just go on a roller coaster at universal. Everything here is over priced and dull. We watched the 4D planet film thing and I honestly fell asleep. And when I woke the film was still playing like with all due respect this was super boring. I would not recommend this to kids at all. Only propa keen people over space would find this remotely interesting.
A great experience, and well worth the money. Some important notes:
1. Do the bus tour, but get there early. The line gets very long, very fast.
2. On the bus tour, if you sit on the driver side you will get a good view of the SpaceX launch pad, but little else. If you sit on the passenger side (right side if you're looking towards the front) you will see the other pads well, but not the SpaceX pad (39A).
3. There are various gifts stores throughout the property. The pricing is quite reasonable. Note that not all the gift stores have the same items, so if you see something you like ,grab it when you find it.
It was a big mistake to visit the Kennedy Space Center on a Saturday right after the Christmas holiday. We saw very little because the waits were horrendous everywhere. For example, the expected wait to get on the bus tour included with admission was 120 minutes. The staff were friendly and helpful but there clearly weren't enough of them to handle the crowds. And copying some of the Disney World approaches to crowd management would have made the experience more pleasant. I left at the end of the day feeling quite disappointed.
I m not sure what I ve been waiting for but am I glad I finally got to visit the Kennedy space center. I went thinking I d be inspired by the history of space exploration and was blown away by what the future holds with our plans for manned space flight to Mars! The bus tour of the spaceport and the vehicle assembly building was absolutely amazing. I m glad we purchased an annual pas because there is far too much to do in just one visit!
NASA shares a bit of a flare for the dramatic at their Visitor s Center there s sweeping instrumental music playing in nearly every corner wherever you go and amazing things to do and see. It really has come a long way and changed over the years.
Some of the highlights for me take the tour bus to the Apollo complex either first thing or after visiting the Hero s 3D story presentation and hall of fame displays. Also, the launch simulator was quite fantastic and nearly worth the half hour wait. One insider tip, though: if the posted wait time says 15 minutes, don t believe it for one minute. It ll likely be between 30-45 minutes before you actually get on the ride.
Also, before you hop in line, stow your bags and purses in the free lockers provided off to the right of the line. FIRST go enter a four-digit PIN number of your choice twice in a row (remember that number) it ll then give you a four-digit number of your locker number where you ll keep those items in. Enter your PIN number, hit enter, and then turn the knob to open up your locker and stow your gear in. You ll enter that same PIN number to get your stuff out of.
WORD OF CAUTION: be careful not to let the locker close all the way on you as you re getting your things out until AFTER you have all of your stuff out of the locker. Poor engineering has made it that you could easily lock some belongings in the locker should the door close prematurely. That said, they do seem to have security personnel on hand at all times to help with lock-out situations. To me it sounds like they need to change the lockers and how they work.
One more word of advice EVERY SINGLE ATTRACTION seems to empty out THROUGH a gift shop. Of course this is by design. They want you to buy something on the way out... at EVERY SINGLE ATTRACTION. Just be prepared to manage the expectation of your kids.
The Space Center is sensational. You can easily spend a whole day here enjoying the educational content and informative full size displays. Many kids have taken up a sincere interest in the space age after visiting here. Fantastic for families.
NASA fantastic , kennedy space center fantastic, 3rd party picture taking company on sight picsolve.... HORRENDOUS, RUDE, AND NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Ashley had no issue when I complained about service telling me I could buy it or leave.... ruined my day at the KSC. Didnt buy the photos. Which ihad every intention of. Just skip it and bring a camera.
I used to work for NASA at the Johnson space center in Houston Texas. it was during the shuttle program and I never had a chance to go see any launches at the Kennedy space center. I took this opportunity to go there since I was in Florida and I had always wanted to at least say I've been there. On the car side it was a little steep at $50 per person since we were seniors and if you're not seniors it's a bit more. good venue good tour I enjoyed the bus ride and the chance to see the Saturn 5 exhibits. I'd say plan for an entire day in order to get the most out of it and not feel rushed
Went shortly after they reopened..not everything was available to see, but in a way that was good. Not too crowded and we were able to get tickets on a day of a launch. Saw it from less than 7 miles away with a big screen close up!!! Awe inspiring!!
While on our RV road trip across America, we decided to stop by KSC. We were taken aback a bit by the price per ticket, but we thought that the museum would be worth it. There were plenty of exhibits and things to see (especially an actual space shuttle!!), we really felt our money would have been better spent not going to the space center. Your mileage may vary, but we would never go back.
Awesome place! You learn while you have fun! Watching the Atlantis up close was impressive and the shuttle simulator is quite an experience. Great for the whole family!
Really amazing visitor center! After coming back here from being here 20 years ago it was refreshing and awesome to seethe changes! Also to see the size of some of the rockets and ships. Wow. The Atlantis introduction videos are cheesy but the reveal is very worth the 12 minutes!
The visit to the Apollo 11 area is closed, which is almost half of the attraction of going to the KSC, the price of admission is very expensive to have that attraction closed, I would not recommend going for now
A bit Disneyish but well put together. The shuttle and Apollo exhibits are fantastic. The bus tour is tough to see out of the busses but seeing the launch area is exciting. Makes you proud to be American and human.
Surely a five star place. One needs good 5-6 hours here to cover 70% of the offerings. Was here in late Jan, best weather for walking because there is lot of it to be done here. The exhibits are well laid out, explained and AVs are fantastic. An hours drive from Orlando, the drive is nice as one gets closer to the island, plenty of flora and birds if you look closely. All said, worth the bucks.
Super fun. make sure you get a bus ride. I'm sad we missed the busses. The space shuttle was my fave. And the Atlantis opening was the best. I would recommend. It a half day trip.
Must to see place! Amazing, entrance fee is fair. You need one day to see everything because it closed early. If there is scheduled a late rocket launch they have an extended opening hours.
It is an amazing experience to learn about the innovations done everyday on such a huge level which not only teach us about the outer space but also make life on Earth better.
Cost $10.00 to park then $56.00 to enter. Meal of fish and chips and water over $12.00. Spent over $75.00 for what turned out to be one of the worst expense for what should have been a great experience. The fish was horrible, maybe frozen and then microwaved then left under a heater. I didn t eat it. Instead of an interesting look at the program you are left with a cheesy, embarrassing theme park. Really a horrible experience. They shouldn t link Kennedy to it.
I personally think it s kind of boring overall especially for the price. There are some interesting exhibits, but several things are closed and it just feels like there should be more to do there. My husband is more into space stuff and enjoys it, but he even said he expected there to be more stuff there. Don t think I would recommend going here because it s so expensive for the little that is there.
Had a great experience! My only complaint is that there's too much to see in one day. Exhibits were great. The shuttle Atlantis and the takeoff simulator made the trip worth it. Will be going back ASAP
This place needs better operations oversight, long lines, prices outrageous, incompetent staffers, long lines. Multitude of problems, not just one. We flew from Chicago for my nine year old son's lifetime experience that was a mission failed with your staffers and at your park. I would love to hear your response.
I loved for simple 2 reasons, the place has a plenty of attractions and It s really enjoyable. We saw imax 3D, museum, experience. The environment is immersive in all about NASA and space. Sure, you can enjoy for 4 hours at least. Looks like an NASA park like most in Orlando, store, place to rest and take pictures. All spots they take care.
There over 5 hours and did not see everything - and that with so much closed right now! We ended the day with a picnic right outside the gates, nice clean tables in the shade. We had a great mulitgenerational family outing, ages from 3 to 60 and everyone loved the day!
Visit here in the 90s and early 2000s and they have changed the place a lot. Prices are high compared to last time so be prepared for that. Make sure you get here early in the morning or on a day when it is not to hot out. There is metal detectors and security line you will have to go through. Overall it is still a great place to stop even with other companies taking the lead in space tech.
