Buyer beware. Very dishonest dealership that says ...

Buyer beware. Very dishonest dealership that says anything to make the sale but does not honor their agreements when the time comes. They got my girlfriend to come in with a car leased in my name and told her she could "trade it in" on a new model. A week after, they instead gave her a check for the "remaining amount owed" and said it was necessary to do it that way for financing. They didn't alert Kia Finance for over two months that they had the vehicle and instead of purchasing it from them, turned it in and stuck me with wear and damage fees of $1,200, even though she was told that was the reason she was paying more than initially agreed upon on the new car. Keep in mind, even though the lease for the first one was in my name, I never spoke to anyone or signed ANYTHING turning it over to them. None of this is legal, but once they had the second sale, they essentially told us, too bad and could not have seemed less interested in how we'd been treated. I love Kia automobiles, but I would never deal with such a dishonest dealership again.

Really enjoyed our experience at Keffer Kia this past weekend. Cannot say enough nice things about Ben (sales). Knowledgeable, professional, kind and gives you space. Worked with Michael (finance) and Chewy (service/parts) as well. The same can be said for them as well. They worked hard to accommodate our budget. Overall, we left content and excited about our new purchase.

Horrible!!! I received a phone call from Meghan on...

Horrible!!! I received a phone call from Meghan on a Thursday. I was not in the market for a new car but she made me feel comfortable about coming in a looking for a possible trade in and trade up deal. I made an appointment for Saturday morning at 9:30.

When I arrived she greeted me, along with salesman Eric who she said would get me started and after she was finished with what she needed to finish she would be back. She said in about 15 minutes. Meghan never returned.

I sat with Eric and told him my wants and expectations, etc. He tried to put me in a base model Optima, which I was very clear and said that I did not want that even before he showed me the car. As we walked up to it, I flat out said no. He then found a car to my liking and then we started to crunch numbers. Meghan, whom I saw walk in and out of the finance office that I was sitting next to (all the finance guys were also talking garbage about the customers in the building buying cars) didn t even come to check on how everything was going.

I ve reviewed Keffer Kia in the past for all the horrible things they ve done to me as their customer, but I always gave them the benefit of the doubt to make it better for me. No more. Please don t ever go to this dealership. They re horrible!

I rated this a 3 because i give the sales department a 1 because of my Horrible experience with the sales. My dad was suppose to be a cosigner and I was the purchaser. Instead they switched it and now I can't even talk to the loan company to pay my car payment because it's under my dad's name! They did that just so they could make a sale! Ontop of that the car they sold me was missing pieces. But I will give the service department a 5 bevsuse they always take good care of me even when there is a problem! They are very understanding and go out of their way! Especially Justin!!!!!

Update: after noticing the response back I thought I should clarify......you claim it is joint but on your end (kias) it's only in my dad's name.....meaning warranty...I call in and give my name and you guys have no record of my name and can't even pull up my file until I give my dad's name for MY CAR! Today I asked if we could change it to my name and the guy I talked to in service says it has to be whatever name is on the registration.....well guess what MY NAME is the only one on the registration. I've been on the phone with 3 different people today trying to get a better understanding of why I can't control what happens to MY CAR!!!!! And they NEVER once explained to us that just because my dad's credit was better that his name would be listed first!!!!!

One of the smoothest car buying experiences ever. Did my research online. Conacted them thru internet sales and reached Shannon Moore. One visit, about 4 or 5 emails, negotiations done pretty much thru email.

Presented them my research, put down a price that was fair for everyone and voila. We have a new Soul +.

My experience with Keffer Kia was amazing. I had called several dealerships before them and no one wanted to help me. I believe half of it was my age. All I had to do is call and talk to Mr. Sean Craig he hooked me up with a appointment and all and sent me home with my new genesis. He was very professional and did everything he could to get me the right price and right payment. I would recommend this dealer and sean craig to anyone looking for a vehicle, exspecially at a younger age! I greatly appricate the help and support i recieved durning this event! Thanks Mr. Craig

The dealership was very fast in getting my paperwork done and made sure I was happy before I left. I Bought a 2020 Sportage and I love it! Great Place, Great staff, and Great deals. I drove an hour and a half to purchase a 2020 Kia Soul GT Turbo, and would do it again. Also, a big thank you to Cedron and Nate for helping me ink the deal, I couldn't get in my own city. I highly recommend Keffer Kia and would buy from them again. I have absolutely made a good friendship with Glen Hyman. This man worked so hard in my favor to find exactly what I wanted. He didn't look on line, he actually walked the lot to see what options there were for me. I know of no other salesman that would do that. The Finance Dept worked and negotiated till they got the monthly payment that I wanted.

They only want your money do not be fooled like it did.. I purchased my SUV (CASH) from this place... I understand that there was not a warranty however the car should not be having problems the following day... I called to see if there was something that can be done even if I had to pay out of my own packet and all they did was give me the runaround no one ever call me back after I've called several times... I am completely pissed... It could of been so simple... The worst decision I've ever made.. Lost thousands of dollars with a broke down car in my yard.....NEVER AGAIN

Not the best experience but the second sales person, Tammy, saved the day.
We went to Keffer Kia in Mooresville to look at a car we were interested in. We were greeted by Eddie J and went to look at the car: sadly we found out that the car's hood and front bumper were scratched, like it hit a pole kinda scratches and the front bumper had a crack from the hit. When we pointed these things out, Eddie J told us that the dealership can fix all of that by replacing the bumper. We informed him how disappointed we were about this situation but he assured us that he will give us the best deal and negotiate with us so that we can take it home that day. When we started talking numbers, the deal he offered us was, wait for it: "we wont charge you for the repairs" ... I thought it was a joke: some else hit the car after pictures of the car were posted online and then the best deal he offered us was "we won't charge you for the repairs"... Apparently he was serious so we obviously declined the offer to which he said: "I could have sold 2 cars in the time i spent with you", which is highly un-professional and rude. I do not recommend dealing with this sales guy. We ended up talking to another sales person, Tammy, and we bought the car.

My wife and I recently purchase a 2016 Kia Sorento SXL from Keffer Kia. John Stonestreet was who we dealt with during our data collection and ultimate purchase of this vehicle. We have purchased many new vehicles over the years and many of those experiences have been downright awful and upsetting. John and the rest of the folks at Keffer Kia have raised the bar on what it means to have a pleasant experience when purchasing a new car. John was professional and accommodating at all times, even after the sale when we called multiple times to inquire about some of the cars' features. I would recommend John and Keffer Kia without reservation to anyone...and have. Did I mention they also had the best pricing for our new car? Give John at Keffer Kia a call....you won't be sorry.

I don't take giving Keffer Kia Mooreseville less than a 5 star review lightly, as I'm a sales and marketing director who understands the effect reviews have on a business. However I wanted to share the positives and negatives of my experience for those who are currently shopping for a dealer and know what they want and what they want to pay.
POSITIVES: Danna, the customer service gal who will be emailing you. She's professional and seems to-the-point and down to earth. Tammy, my sales consultant. She did a terrific job and she's the reason I bought a Kia Sorento L from them.
NEGATIVE: Chris the sales manager. Although I understand they run a business not a charity I felt his negotiation of the price was over-the-top considering I was buying a no-frills L yet he expected me to pay for a fully loaded model. When I continually refused the price given he stomped over quite visibly annoyed with me while glaring at my sales gal, which led me to believe he was blaming her for my not agreeing to his ridiculous price. He was incorrect. I'd done my research and knew what I should be paying for an L and he hadn't yet offered that price.
BOTTOM LINE: I wanted to walk out because of Chris's behavior but chose to buy a car from Keffer Kia Moorseville because of Tammy. No sales person should ever be punished for the behavior of his or her boss. Period.

Zero customer service from the moment after i bought a car. Got 3 cars in 6 years here. This will be my last one from Keffer. I don't know what changed, but Mr. Keffer needs to change it back or clean house.

The young man I "worked" with was actively working two other customers at the same time. We did a quick test drive(without the salesman) and left. There was absolutely NO follow up or contact by this person. I purposely WAITED for a week for this dealership to give SOME kind of contact. But, nothing.......I don't know who's training this bunch, but whoever it is, doesn't need to be in automotive sales. Worst salesmanship I've EVER experienced. I gave this place two stars simply because it was very clean.

My wife and I wanted to help our son purchase his next vehicle after the one he has been driving for the past 10 years died again. We told him to decide what he wanted. After a few weeks of test-driving, he told us he wanted a Kia Sportage and it had to be a 2011 or 2012 because of the overhaul done to them in 2011. I thought why a Kia. I went online and researched the Kia Sportage. After doing my research, I decided maybe he had not made such a bad choice. The hunt was on for preferably a 2011 to get a better price. Looking through the Autotrader web site, we saw where the local Kia dealer had the 2012 Sportage for only $17,999. Off the the local dealer we went. Turns out, that price is good if you are a recent college graduant, a military veteran, and over 65. We missed two out of three. Never the less we left disappointed. Back to Autotrader and I found two used 2011; one in Matthews, NC and one in Durham. I also did some searching for other dealerships in a 100 mile radius. I found Keffer. I sent them an email about the disappointment with the local dealer. If they were serious about dealing, contact me. On Monday, I had phone calls from the two used Sportages. The guy in Durham, I was not going to deal with. The guy in Matthews was very nice and I was very interested. Late Monday, I get a call from Eric Smith at Keffer. I told him what I wanted to pay, my down payment, and months of financing. He said let me work on it and I will call you back. He called me back in about 15 minutes and told me what he could offer. It was very close to my demands. My wife and I live in Greenville, NC and my son lives in Greensboro. My wife was going to co-sign because my son had no credit history. Eric worked out all the details via phone and email. My wife and son drove to Mooresville Wednesday afternoon and picked up the Sportage. She said everyone was so nice and helpful. When my son got into the Sportage to drive home the radio display was not working. He took it back today, Friday, and they replaced the radio. He said everything was smooth and everyone was so nice. Thank you so much Keffer for helping us find a solution for our son and being able to bless him. Special thanks to Eric Smith and Mary Ann for their consistent contact and support in this transaction. In my opinion, Keffer is not a car dealer staffed with a bunch of car salespersons, but a car dealer with a staff of good neighbors. There is a big difference.

I've had nothing short of a great buying experience at Keffer Kia!! My salesman, Kenny Frady helped me out with a tough situation. With the help of Michael McKenna and Greg Armstrong, my deal was finished!! To top it off, I didn't have to practically spend the night at the dealership.....we were finished within just a few hours!! The dealership is very clean and everyone is so nice and helpful. They have great extras, like snacks and drinks for their guests and televisions in the waiting area. I highly recommend Keffer Kia in Mooresville!!

I purchased my Kia here 4 years ago, which was a great experience as I had a friend that was friends with the GSM (he is no longer there). I currently have 50,000 miles on it and have never had a single problem with it until I took it in for a service recall on the engine. I dropped it off on a Sunday night and picked it up on Monday at 3:30 after they called and said it was ready and no recall work was necessary. I got in it and it would not start (battery was completely dead). I have never had any battery problems until this day, this car has never been jump started.

I will certainly follow up on this review as it is very rare for me to write a bad review on anything. This has been a nightmare. I am reluctant to
even let them try to fix this. I have never dealt with such poor service and more uncaring/unconcerned people, ever. If you are in the Mooresville, NC area, I would recommend Bowles automotive. It is family owned and operated and they service our personal vehicles as well as my company vehicles and they would never treat anyone this poorly.

Thanks to keffer Kia I was able to purchase a very good car on great terms. Sales representative Randy Lodato was very nice, helpful, honest, and understanding. He was more worried about our satisfaction than making the sale. Therefore, I would recommend everyone go to keffer Kia. They provided world class customer service and we settled everything in a timely manner.

There is nothing good to say about this dealership. For the first time me and my boyfriend walked in the door they lied to us. Never did a credit check but told us numerous times over the phone we we re approved. Threatened to call the police on us as well cursed us out in front of other customers. Dan or whatever his name is if that s even his name is very disrespectful told us he would not give us a ride home after they couldn t get anything worked out. Needless to say went to another lot and was in and out of there within an hour with a 2012 Ford Focus. Very unprofessional will be debating on contacting the better business bureau to make an complaint on this dealership and the management. They are a bunch of crooks.

We bought a car from Keffer Kia 2 years ago with an AMAZING experience! Went yesterday to purchase another car and it was the complete opposite! We were in contact with Alisha since Monday about a 2011 Kia Sportage. Alisha was wonderful and I hate we didn't get to work with her at the lot. When we got there we asked for Alisha, but she was busy and ended up having to hand us over to another sales person. Alisha did greet us, offered us water and coffee and showed us to our new sales persons table where she quickly had to try to conceal and move their cigarettes and lighter that were spread out on the table.
The sales person went and got the keys for the Sportage and it was announced right in front of us that there was someone there looking to purchase it. Now knowing what I know, they had pretty much already sold it, so there was no point in us even looking at it or test driving it.
We looked at it, liked it and decided to test drive it. I mentioned to sales person I was nervous about driving it because I have driven the same car since I was 16, so every car I drive is going to take some getting use to. We pull out and it was like pulling teeth trying to figure out where to drive this car to, since I am not from or familiar with Mooresville. My husband ended up giving me directions more than she did. At one point our sales person said "Now you're making me nervous. I'm just going to close my eyes and not watch." We had mentioned potentially wanting to look at a Sorento just for the additional room. The sales person stated that I "would not like the Sorento, if the Sportage makes me nervous." We get back and look at a Sorento that had just been traded in that day. We understood it had not been detailed yet, but just wanted to look to see if it would be something we would be interested in. We decided we wanted to test drive a Sorento just to compare size and feel to the Sportage. Our Sales person then asked around what price we wanted to be at and we said as close to the Sportage price as possible. After about 10 minutes she came back with a set of keys that didn't go to that car. And that this was the closest one in our "price range." She went back to try to find the keys again. After another 5 minutes of waiting, we decided just to leave. We found our sales person and told them we were leaving and all they said was "Ok, it was nice to meet you." We felt more like an inconvenience to the sales person than anything. They never offered to let us test drive a Sorento that was "out of our price range" just to get a feel for it. When we pulled out of the lot I reached out on the online chat feature before leaving Mooresville and got nothing (we traveled 45 minutes to specifically purchase a car from here.) The online chat person apologized and literally asked me would I prefer a sales manager to contact be by phone call or email? Even then, no one reached out to use last night before we left Mooresville. I reached out via online form form the webpage when we got home and NO reply today. I decided to see if they still had the Sportage, because I did like it and I am in desperate need of a car. They had already taken it off their webpage, which told me they sold it before we had even left their lot last night and didn't care about trying to sale us anything else.I called to ask to speak to a sales manager and the phone rang 3 times and I was sent to a VOICE MAIL! Called back, thankfully got Alisha who went and found the sales manager Greg. He was a great listener, but lacked the same motivation that our sales associate from last night did. All that was asked was "what could make this right?" Well the ONLY car I saw last night you sold, I don't know what else you have. I was shocked I was not asked "Hey come in, let's find you a car and make this right." Nothing try to get me back in the door and purchase a car. I was basically begging Keffer Kia to take my money and give me a car and got NOTHING. Take your money somewhere else.

Definitely don't plan to ever come back here. The salesman was super pushy and completely did not listen to what we were wanting. We wanted to see a certain car in our price range and he brought around a car way over our price limit.

This is an update to a previously posted review. A few months ago we had a very distasteful experience that I will not rehash but was bad enough that I provided a detailed description so others would be aware. A week or so later I was contacted by the GM Rick Zoerb to discuss the matter. To his credit he took the matter very seriously and mentioned he had researched everything and the Finance Manager that had passed some snide comments previously had been suspended for 2 weeks because of the situation.

On top of that he offered to personally work with us in the future if we would consider Keffer again.

The future was last week when we decided to continue to consider options on a new lease. True to his word Rick worked with my wife directly, quickly and efficiently to find her the lease vehicle she wanted. I was traveling for work but my wife reported she was treated with respect and dignity and we now have our new Kia Sedona.

I'm old school and a mans word matters to me. So for Rick and Kia Keffer to not only address the issue with swift and appropriate consequences but to uphold his word and make the next experience worth our time means more than the deal we received.

Great job Keffer thank you for your integrity.

I had a really great experience with the team at Keffer Kia! It was our first big purchase as a married couple and we couldn t have felt more comfortable. Ben helped sell us the car. He showed it to us, listened to our opinions, addressed our concerns, and even got it detailed one final time for us before it went home (we bought a two year old Subaru that came in as a trade-in). He s really knowledgeable and pleasant. Ask for him if you re looking at buying. Chewy came over and did some small little detail work for us before we drove off. He was really kind and helpful too. Michael assisted us on the financial side. He was really terrific to work with and really knows his stuff. Overall, would say the staff here is remarkable. They re the opposite of pushy and they go the extra mile.

The best experience I've ever had at a dealership! The staff Steve, Mark and Sharon were so sweet and helpful. Work was done above and beyond my expectations! Car is a 2012 Kia Optima and the work was covered under the 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty. That is cray cray! Love, love, love my Kia and now Keffer has earned my trust back! Merry Christmas!

I purchased my car about 3 days ago. When I got in the car the tire pressure light was on. We test drove I let my sales lady Alana know she was going to top off air service was closed. I had to come back friday to finish paperwork, work up to tire light still on alana topped all the tires off. Saturday tire dropped 10 psi. Called Alana she helped me out. My tire had a nail on the inside, I called service got an appt the next day. Needless to say the sales department was awesome and so was the service dept they really took care of me. There was no hassle and service washed my car and vacuum also. I was so thankful and I live in Charlotte. They urge me to come back the next day to get my proper tire put on they really care about there customers.

My parents came in and priced a van with everything she needed got a price for that model and ended up with one of the 3 things needed for the price of all 3. Very discouraged they would treat a couple in their late 70's that way. When Mother called asking how the navigation she asked for worked, she was told oh it doesn't have one, but we can charge you for one and put it in for a fee and it will be an aftermarket model. Don't allow them to take advantage of your parents like they have mine. I'll be sure to tell anyone looking for a car to steer clear of Keffer Kia.

Waiting 2 hours for my oil change is ridiculous!!! I had an appointment so y'all knew I was gonna show up and I could have done it myself at home in 30 min or less!!! I only have one more free oil change with them then I am never coming back.... I might not even use that one!!

Worst customer service department, and the worst car service department, they do not like honoring there warrantees, I called a few times and all I got was the run around, I liked this place when I got my car the sales service was great and they were very helpful, but every time I needed my car serviced they said that nothing was wrong with my car, my radio & my horn stopped working and I told the guy that it was a electrical Problem he said that the diagnostic test didn t find anything that was when my warranty would cover it, now I am stuck with an Electrical problem, I called to get my transmission checked out and they kept giving me the run around, I tried to make an appointment and on line and still go the run around, very upset customer, poor customer service!!! Remember if it wasn t for your customers you wouldn t have a job.

I tried to buy a 2014 Kia Soul plus from this dealership at the published internet price of 17,340 and they would not do it even if you paid cash. Beware of this dealership, it is a bait and switch method of getting you in the front door. Its a shame that buying a car has to be so tough, since I was trying to buy this for a relative. I even called the parts department to get a price on roof racks, and they never called me back. I recommend you stay clear of this dealership and go somewhere else to purchase a car, they will not do you right in my opinion.

I went in for a test drive and ended up financing the car I wanted the same day. I'm a single mother and had my 4 year old with me and they were so nice to both of us. Our salesman, Donnie, was nice and helpful. I actually felt very comfortable speaking with him and asking questions. My favorite part was that nobody asked me about if I was married or if I had a cosigner or anything. And again, as a single mother, that really was a relief. I would recommend anyone to this dealership and especially Donnie of you are looking for a car.

I visited Keffer Kia on Saturday April 13th and I was greeted by Sales Professional, Shannon Moore. I loved that he immediately asked me what will work and what won't work, so that we weren't in a game of cat and mouse for the next few hours. We had a wonderful test drive and had the best time talking about my options for a new car. Shannon was the perfect gentleman; when we needed a minute to talk he happily gave us a few moments, there was no pressure or the classic aniexty of being "pushed" into purchasing a car. He asked very good questions to make sure I was choosing the right vehicle and made sure that I was happy with my purchase. This is the SECOND car we have purchased from Keffer Kia and wouldn't think twice about driving the 2 1/2 hour distance from where we live, for a 3rd time, to purchase another after Shannon Moore's excellent service! Chris Baas helped us finalize the purchase and made all aspects of the transaction VERY clear. Any questions I had, he countered back with very precise explainations. He explained each form I was signing and gave me enough time to read the contracts. He was patient and understanding. He is also a reason I would make the drive just to purchase a car from Keffer Kia.... Excellent job guys.... you definitely have a team to be proud of and one EXTREMELY happy customer. Eric Smith was polite. After the sale my battery died within the weeks and I was told that it was not covered under the extended warranty that I bought with the vehicle. And that it was not covered by the 90 day dealer warranty. I felt like this was very poor customer service and will never even look at a vehicle here again.

On 06/20/2013 I purchased an 2008 Jeep Compass, a few months after the purchase the motor blew up so I had the KIA dealership replace it costing me over $3000.00 Then on 08/26/2014 I had to take it back to KIA with leaking radiator that had to be replaced costing me $312.60, on 06/23/2014 I m back at the dealership because the engine was making a terrible noise, this time around they found the power stearing pump and alternator making abnormal noise, Dealership determined pulleys were not replaced previously with new engine. This time I had to have the PS pump and alternator replaced. Along with 3 pulleys. Not to mention the stops of fix something here and there along the way. Now I m back again with the Alternator needing to be replaced less than a year later at the tune of $355.81. This was on 07/11/2015 and with this trip they lost the cover to my motor and broke the hose that sends out water to wash the windshield. They said they would replace and fix these parts, this has been over a month ago, and all I can get from them is that the parts are on back order, or they are being over nighted. I have purchased 2 vehicles from KIA of Mooresville and there will NOT be a third all simply due to the service department. I m not a stupid person by any means and to have them treat me as if I m a dumbass really gets under my skin. I have spent almost as much money repairing this vehicle as I have on the purchase of it. Needless to say still to date NO motor cover and no new hose for the windshield washer, and no contact from Mooresville KIA. THE CRAPPIEST CUSTOMER SERVICES EVER Thanks Alissa Weaver

We purchased 2 new Kia optima s yesterday from Keffer Kia & it was an incredibly positive experience. Casey, the general manager, & Tammy worked quickly & efficiently to get us the best deal & damn it they did. They literally pulled off a miracle getting us approved for two new vehicles as our credit was just fair. We were nervous, as one car was for our 18 yr old daughter who was so excited. We didn t want to disappoint her but both Casey & Tammy new that & never wavered in their ability to make it happen for us. We felt at ease, we were treated with the utmost respect, not just numbers on a report. They truly cared to make our experience positive & easy, when we knew we were asking for a lot. A big thank you to Michael in finance, he was easy to work with & didn t try to sell you anything not needed & gave honest opinions about best options. By far the best dealership experience we ve ever had. We will be customers for life for sure. I also did extensive research on cars before buying & I'm only sorry we didn t find out about Kia sooner. They have the best amenities standard, like all the driver assist options, which is so important for any driver but there is no one out there that can beat their safety ratings or warranties.
