Beautiful property. We attended an awards trip with my company and we're well taken care of. Food was excellent. Poolside cocktail service was pretty slow at times. Fantastic pools and a great place to spend a few days.

Location wise its beautiful and the scenery outside is great. Aside from some helpful employees scattered throughout my visit these are the only pros.

I will never be staying at this location again. Never had room service till day 4, we had to call the previous night to complain and the desk apologized and we were taken care of Friday finally. The Iron is also broken and doesn't properly work. For a "5 star hotel" this is poor service.

The food is expensive but half expected due to secluded location and being a bit ritzy. Portions of food however did not match the price tag but that is a small gripe. Brianna or Bri from Stonegrill gave astounding service and should be recognized, she sold me on the bison burger and it was great.

We were on the 5th floor and above the first floor, floors 2-5 had no AC in the hallways when traversing the labyrinths back to our room. In our room the AC was sporadic at best. Also $15 for wifi per day? Why not just add it into the bill for each night and call it a day. It is not high speed either.

Pros:

Overall beautiful on the outside / scenery
Great staff

Cons:
Filthy and disgusting, room and pool areas front to back
Building needs possible maintenance or just cutting corners on electricity
Pricey but good food

Everything cost extra. You can easily get Nicole and times here. The elevator also broke all the time and they kept leaving my door open. The cleaning staff was really nice and the front desk was quick to accommodate my needs. Also they charged to give you packages that you had delivered to the hotel. Like help then hostage which was weird.

My husband and I booked at staycation at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge and had an amazing stay! Upon arrival to time of discharge we received phenomenal service. The greeter at the door was wonderful and made a point to know our names. We were upgraded to a suite which was beautiful and very clean. We received extra hotel credit to spend during our stay. The food and drinks were awesome. And we enjoyed early check-in and very late check-out. Thank you Marriott team for an amazing and relaxing weekend!

Very beautiful resort, pool area can be congested but it is stunning. My only gripe is the parking issue. They literally charge everyone including guests overpriced parking fees. I can understand that would be the case in major cities like NYC or SF were parking is scarce. Here you are literally way out of downtown Phoenix in the desert. Corporate has put bright yellow pillars everywhere with cheap 5 dollar locks so no one can get away with parking for free. It s so pathetic.

Simply stunning and amazing. The property is elegant and devine with the well kept property and breathtaking amenities you will be guaranteed a lavish experience that leaves you feeling at home and never wanting to leave. This is my second visit for a holiday party and the ballrooms are perfectly customized to your taste. With the high ceiling and presidential esque halls any gathering of the masses will be left with a amazing experience to be remembered and never forgotten. The staff is professional and prompt the property is well kept, maintained and always clean. So know when you rest or have your next big event know you're making an exception choice as it is well worth it.

Excellent resort with multiple villas offering family activities, plenty of swimming pools and additional indoor and outdoor fun. Scenery is beautiful! Food is not the best, but ok for a resort. The main resort looks high end, but has a party atmosphere in the pool areas (personally preferred the other pools at the villas). Lots of close by shops and movies.

This resort was amazing! Best service in town! The rooms, food, and the additional amenities exceeded all of my expectations. You won't want to leave lol also the staff were fantastic and extremely accommodating, Serena at the front desk was so sweet and helpful, and the waiter at Roys, Kyle, was so personable and set a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere at the restaurant! Definitely coming back(:

This is a fantastic resort not too far from downtown Phoenix it's in area called Desert Ridge. The customer service is excellent the rooms are to die for two beautiful pools two golf courses on the property. The food in the restaurants is excellent, so if you're visiting from out of town or just want to stay at a beautiful Resort you cannot go wrong with the Marriott.

Wow. Everything is perfect. Breakfast, hot or cold, buffet is scrumptious. Lazy river is fun (though check start times), water is heated, double tubes are great to share. Several swimming pools offer laps to splashing. Lots and lots for children to do, teens and adults of all ages. Spa pool, lounges and hammocks is an amazing area to spend a few hours or all day. Food choices around resort are reasonably priced. Free parking is a long walk just past convention centre. Plenty of places to relax inside the hotel lobby areas, hallways etc.

We were fortunate to be upgraded to an Executive suite with seperate living area, huge 65" TV in both living and bedroom areas. Massive king bed, comfortable sitting chairs, and big bathroom. Deck extends across both room. Recommend facing north so your room stays cool during the day. Seperate air conditioning in either room.

We will be back.

Did our company office party here and they catered. Food was awesome and they kept everything fresh. Good spot for a staycation if you know the area well. I can see it hard for people out of state to stay there because of the location. If you re planning on visiting around the Scottsdale and Phoenix area there are closer hotels than this one which is norther Phoenix/ north Scottsdale. But overall a great hotel.

Gorgeous hotel, very professional services and the staff is very helpful. The hotel is very busy when there's a conference(s) but the staff and layout of the hotel minimize the negative affects to resort guests. Use the valet, self parking is not convenient.

I was there at a business conference for a week. An item out of my room, was stolen and the hotel had zero accountability, and was extremely rude about the situation. They explained if it was stolen there was nothing they can do. Very disappointed in how this was handled.

Their customer service was over the top. Our expectations were consistently exceeded by multiple resort employees and the Griffin Club was beyond excellent including food, service and welcoming personnel. This place is a definite return trip.

The JW Marriott at Desert Ridge is quite the resort! The rooms, including the bathrooms, are very spacious and have a mini fridge, coffee maker, safe, lights attached to the beds for night reading, patio, hair dryer, separate bathtub and shower, etc. The lobby is gorgeous with plenty of comfy seating inside and out. At night there are fire puts that guests can sit around, whether to eat or just hang out. There are souvenir and clothing shops, several restaurants including a Starbucks, a spa, a gym, gold course, bikes to rent, and multiple pools, one of which is a lazy river. Location is super close to shopping, dining, and a major freeway. We've very much enjoyed our stay here so far. Our only complaint is the parking, which is hard to find if you don't want to pay a valet.

Excellent service, upscale landscape and architecture. The whole resort is clean and vibrant, the rooms are very nice. This is our favorite resort to swim and play at in the Phoenix area.

This was my first JW Marriott experience. I love the Marriott line of soaps/shampoos by Aromatherapy Associates. My room was large and overlooked Capri island. It was quiet and from the balcony you could watch the sunrise over the desert mountains. The pools were nice and in October they were mostly empty. The grounds were immaculately kept, like a south-west version of a Japanese garden. Zen. I wish I had time to check out the golf. Food was good. Coffee was so so. The poolside margarita was perfect. Great big gym with modern equipment, including four Peloton bikes (these should really be setup in demo mode). Great resort for R&R.
