JW Marriott Desert Ridge Review

Would have rated higher, but felt a little to crowed for the event

Loved this resort. We had a blast. Everybody was so helpful and friendly. Prices were great, food was good, room was nice. Just wished the pool hours and pool bar hours were a little later...

I visited the resort to visit with a friend who was staying there for a convention. The lobby is luxurious with lots of seating areas. We ate at one of the bars and had friendly and fast service. The bartender even helped us take a picture together. Later we enjoyed the lazy river pool. The pool complex is large and fun with multiple pools.

I love this place. Being here has convinced me to move to Arizona!

We spent a wonderful night and a very nice room for my 50th birthday. Then we spent the following day all day by the pool and went down the lazy river and slide. We were provided water and towels from the great staff. The staff also took our food orders and brought food pool side. We had such a great time. It made turning 50 seem like nothing! Thank you JW Marriott for such a memorable birthday!

Went here for my anniversary and the place was amazing.

Very professional, clean, relaxing, beautiful scenery

Unbelievable beautiful classic stunning and gorgeous place everyone is so polite and helpful and friendly.

The food was fantastic. Brenden and Debbie took excellent care of us.

Paying $1,000 a night I would expect the property to offer pay-per-view movies. They do not and offer only the standard channels. If I had known this I would not have stayed here and would have stayed at Four Seasons or another five star resort

This is a beautiful resort, one of the nicest Marriotts that I've stayed at. Very southwestern feeling but not too cheesy, food was excellent in the lobby bar and in the grill restaurant.

Very nice stay, rooms were clean and resort itself was very beautiful.

I was only here for a single day convention but the ballroom area where we were was amazing. Everything was spotless, staff was polite and helpful, and bathrooms were well kept. My only issue was that there was a very strong air freshener smell in the women's bathroom and I understand that's typical but I have sensitive allergies and it was stronger than most.

The JW Marriott is a great place for a business conference. Spacious meeting areas, good food, and nice rooms all make for a wonderful experience.

The room was great. The staff was friendly. I really felt welcome there. I would definitely choose this place again for my next stay.

Went to the Spa, very nice spa and friendly staff. Very good food at the Bistro. I just wish there weren t so many ants outside by the pool and saw some where the indoor jacuzzi was. Love all the wildlife with the falcons, lizards and dragonflies! Liked the hammocks outside too.

Most comfortable beds of all hotels I've ever been to. Beautifully maintained, welcoming staff. Front desk always has a wait but overall great experience every year I go.

Did not stay overnight, but great for business events and dinner/drinks.

Resort is great with spacious rooms and numerous restaurants and bars

Awesome service, rooms are nice, and love the pool.

Family loves lazy river and taco bar. Staff is always friendly. I would give a 5 but excessive fees are dissapointing. They have plenty of towels, ice water and tubes. Enjoy our stay everytime.

The property is nice. Good golf course from what I understand. I was attending a conference, it's a nice location for conference. The biggest issue I had was really bad WiFi connection. For a facility that holds professional conferences it's really a big miss to not have decent connectivity

Nice spa, a little pricey, would be better if you also get access to the main pool (and lazy river) after using the spa. The pool that you do get use is very nice and quiet.

I was there for a Job Fair and really enjoyed the grounds of this hotel! The shops they had were also a plus as you need a good Starvucks or something good for coffee. Will probably attend more job fairs there and will look forward to them..

Beautiful location with nice pools and a lazy river. Room on the small side and hotel interiors were a bit difficult to navigate

Amazing place to stay. Has great food spots and is in a great area.

All of the staff were professional and friendly from the first step onto the property to farewell. There are a number of restaurants to attend and a variety of other actvities to do, like pickle-ball. There are many beautiful views throughout the property and a moment is waiting around any corner. The property is expansive and stunning... truly an experience.

Overall great hotel except for the fact that the spa closes early and there are No pools open after 10PM.....common JW

Recently attended an all staff event / conference for my job. The staff were friendly, and on top of things that needed to be done. It was clean and we'll organized. The bathrooms we're nice and also were clean. I enjoyed the outdoor area seating and room to roam around. The food was very good and I liked the different choices. Hope we do more events there in the future!

I can't say enough about this place. They host my Husbands company party here every year. The Resort employees are always so amazing. I enjoy the food and drinks when I go. The prices are steep, but it's part of the experience.

Had a work event at the hotel in one of the bathrooms. Service was good and everything was clean.

We go for spring break often and the kids have always loved it.

Room was clean, staff very friendly and overall no issues with my stay.

Staff was great, ground were beautiful and the rooms were comfy with great views.

Bad planning for rooms.. my husband and i got stuck in a double bed room.. long wait to check in.. but staff otherwise was feiendly

Beautiful gardens and walking paths. Great Christmas decorations. Stayed 3 nights, slept well. I love the soaking tub.

Not enough seating outside. Crowded, bit gorgeous.

I always have high expectations of Marriott properties; especially JW. And this one delivered in spades. I was here for the CHIME conference along with several thousand others. And the service remained first class. The room was nice and the facilities accommodated the crowd with no issue. There is a Starbucks on the property with talented and friendly staff. Roy's restaurant was a nice place to entertain clients located on the property. And the weather was awesome.

Rooms are comfortable and clean. We go for a weekend for a stay vacation in Phoenix. We go with 10 or 12 people to spend the day at the pools. Dinner is just ok, but there is live music on the patio. Only 4 stars because parking is so far away.

Great location for professional events or for a relaxing vacation. The grounds and architecture are beautiful and the staff are courteous and helpful.

Excellent stay, but if you stay on the end of the hotel you have to walk along way to the lobby every time you want to leave.

Situated in the middle of a desert shopping area, this place has it all! Stop by the spa to have an entire day of relaxation activities.

Fantastic experience and stay here at the resort. We stayed at the resort for the first time and just for one night. Took advantage of the summer deals they have. Superb property and excellent 5-star customer service. Staff is always smiling and ready to help. The pools are nice, lazy river is fun. The water slide is for kids under 10. It's small. My husband and I used their fitness center. We also went biking with family using their bikes from the sports store. They also let us do a late checkout upon request. We wanted to stay and enjoy the pool and other facilities. Rooms are big and also had a balcony with a view. Bathrooms are big and clean. Gift stores have a good variety and not super pricey. There is also a Starbucks on the property. In short, wonderful experience overall. Will surely stay there again.

I have golf membership! So many perks like dicounts on clothes, food, alcohol, use of all facilities and many others!
