Overall it was nice. Just had no extra blankets and some dirty drinking glasses (which is typical in any hotel now). That's why I only use the disposable cups in hotels. (I've seen how the glasses get "cleaned") Hard pass, thanks.

Really beautiful place. Had drinks by the pool with friends who were staying there. I don't know what was going on but the place was packed. A few too many families with kids for me. But overall nice.

Even though I have a reservation and it is on file my room isn't ready. The outside valet staff lied about having luggage carts, even though I am sitting in the lobby looking at two each time they open the door for the room they store. The only highlight is a staff member offered to get us a beer. He is the only one who has checked on us. Apparently this hotel only has one employee who cares about the guests, despite their appearances.

We stayed at the hotel for a week and truly enjoyed our stay. Dominic was wonderful. Thank you for your help! Thomas and Rob were great bartenders. They made yummy drinks and always friendly. We always looked forward to seeing them. There was one really sweet lady at the restaurant for breakfast who was delightful. I wish I knew her name. She was there Monday morning. If you are looking for a getaway I would highly recommend coming here. They are very strict with covid guidelines.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff at every turn. Beautiful hotel with lots of offered services for their guests. Love that it's so close to Desert Ridge shopping center. It's a great place for a staycation. Lots to do and a great place to relax.

Stayed here from 3/18/2017 - 3/22/2017 while travelling for work, the valet service and front desk staff are fantastic and the location is beautiful, unfortunately, a small, totally avoidable incident on their end caused this poor review. One night we had been celebrating one of our coworkers winning an award, we ended up at the main lobby bar, we all had a couple of drinks but none of us were anywhere near intoxicated. Since the poor quality of vodka I was served started to dry out my mouth, I asked for a glass of water, the bar tender on duty handed me a glass filled with ice and very little water, not a problem, after drinking the water I decided to pour half the ice into a friends empty glass, in the process three ice cubes had fallen onto the bar top. The bartender immediately became irate, threw his hands in the air and said "you guys need to get the f*** out of here." We all looked around at each other confused waiting for the punch line or expecting to see someone causing an issue, apparently that was me. I apologized profusely and let the bartender know I was only trying to get more water in my glass and not cause a mess, suddenly the on duty security staff came over to me and shoved me about two feet back. Had I thrown a glass or threatened any of the staff at the hotel this would have been completely acceptable, however, spilling ice in no way should provoke an assault from a 5' 4" employee that had done a few too many roids back in his day. I had to calmly tell this employee to settle down, rather than escalate this into a physical confrontation as he was clearly trying to do. Honestly, if he had calmly came up to me and said hey can we go over here and talk I would've welcomed that, shoving into a customer with a quarter million dollar car parked in front of your hotel is no way to run a business. I don't plan on ever staying at this location again even though other than the completely untrained members of the staff the hotel itself was great, very well maintained and the staff that were trained did an incredible job. It's a shame two people had to ruin this establishment. We were offered a small credit of $100 on our account after bringing this issue to the attention of the concierge, however, that's not nearly enough to make me stay here again, since it only covers about 1/4 the cost of a room for one night.

We stayed at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge for a conference and we were completely surprised at how nice it was. The selection of on-site restaurants were all really good. The pool and lazy river with outdoor bar lounge area was a great place to relax for a day or two. Everything was really nice, there is an on-site gift shop, star bucks, and FedEx Kinko's which were all convenient we would definitely come back

Ammenities are what one would expect from this class of resort. There is a lazy river, so expect plenty of onrey children at the pool. Staff was great and the food at the restaurants was worth it.

The resort is very clean, the pools are beautiful, and the views are great as well. The staff is friendly and helpful. I wish the pool areas had heaters and the pools were a bit warmer for the cold season.

Awesome facility. Friendly for family and business events. The restaurant food was pretty good but the banquet food was so so and left a lot to be desired for this level of hotel/facility.

Golf course was amazing. A golfer at any level will enjoy the vista's. While not every fairway is wide there are plenty of opportunities for all to enjoy.

Place was lovely, decent food, nice massage in spa, HOWEVER, the valets were goofing off, play wrestling and taking their sweet ol' time attending to guests that were waiting FAR too long for their vehicles to be retrieved. Less playing around like rowdy toddlers and more hustling to do what you're getting paid AND tipped for would be great guys.

This resort has everything! Upscale place for a vacay or a stacay. You won't be sorry when you're sitting by the pool and they're bringing you drinks. All sorts of games too. Just in case you're not drinking.

Excellent job! I really enjoyed myself. Very nice staff and the room service is very good. Alittle bit pricing; but hey, they are bring you food in bed. We ended up with a Junior Suite and it was very clean and accommodating. Very clean resort and lobby area. Lazy pool is very fun. They have a spa of course and a couple restaurants. They provided us with drink tickets while we waited for the room to be ready. Definitely check it out get a room on the 1st floor, you will have a incredible view of fountain from the grass from your balcoy. Great deal on room. Would recommend to all.

Attended a conference and started at the hotel. All the hotel staff was very nice, pool was very nice, room was nice. Despite having Platinum Marriot status, there was no real benefit besides having access to the quiet spa pool for 18+ for free. There are lots of exclusive places such as a special pool (one tiny pool in the middle of the rest that are free), lounge, athletic equipment that you all have to pay extra for if you want, so make sure to be aware of this so you can anticipate any extra fees. The desert ridge market is 0.5 mile walk and had groceries, food, shopping that we went to a few times and was nice to have close by. Otherwise a nice resort and would stay here again.

It's really nice however the little water I was able to get had black stuff in it and then it was empty. You would think they would be on the look out for things like that to make their guest comfortable especially in this heat.

This place was 220 a night, I booked 2 nights and I m not even going back for the second. Very unimpressed with the condition of the room, a very hard Murphy bed and the wall damage ruined it. Cheap appliances. My neck is killing me. The ac unit makes a loud click every time it kicks on. WiFi cost 16 bucks, so much for that resort fee. Totally not what I expected, I ll never stay at Marriott again. Spoke to hotel, they basically told me they don t care.

Gorgeous property with lots of pools! We had king suite and it was spacious. However being in 3116 wing 1 was noisy. It like we could hear service elevator and carts in a back hallway or something. The food quality is pretty good at resort so worth just relaxing and staying. Make sure to ask for JW signature chocolates. I did a chocolate class here and it was super fun. The Family Escape Center is a great place to entertain kids but only open afternoons after 1pm because camp is in mornings. It would be so nice to add a playset somewhere on property for kids with slides/swings. I love all the firepits and outdoor seating options. The ladies spa sauna/steam/hot tub are nice with large locker rooms. Overall, this resort is beautiful and does give you the JW feel. Definitely a great place to enjoy views!

Nice rooms, nice people, everything is overpriced as far as food and drinks go. But everything is overpriced in a hotel. Great quality. Swimming pool and lazy river are a great source of fun, especially for the kids.

I was here for a 4 day conference. Very nice and clean hotel rooms with a balcony. The pool and outside sitting areas are amazing. I could see the dry Arizona mountains from my room and from most areas within the facility. Great staff. Very helpful. Food is expensive but quality is nice.

Everything was really good. Room was well appointed and well kept and clean. All the staff was friendly and helpful. Beautiful location. Meeting spaces were pretty good. Only problem was projectors has poor color accuracy making the photos in presentations look odd. The large group food service was good with plenty of choices and good quality. They kept everything stocked well and overall a comfortable environment. Would stay again.

An absolutely beautiful resort with a very popular shopping, dining and entertainment district right across the street. This JW Marriott is huge with multiple conference and event rooms. It is very clean and the staff is always around to help you in anyway necessary.
