Simply amazing! This hotel is a destination resort all the way. No need to ever leave the hotel to fill all your holiday needs. Plenty of food locations, drink locations, shopping, Spa, and incredible views!

Excellent venue for conference. Beautiful grounds, lunch was very good, great service, nice people. Huge monitors and speaker systems made seeing and hearing presenters easy. Incredibly efficient. Highly recommend. Easy location.

We had to call every day to have our room cleaned. We were told we checked that we wanted to be Green when we had never even been given the option. They told us daily that the Green option had been removed from our room but still nobody ever showed up to clean it. I expect better service when paying $200+ for a room.

Great facility for a conference. The people there are top notch and take initiative to make sure you're taken care of, making life much easier.

Pretty good service, good dining choice. Grounds, pool area are beautiful. A great weekend getaway. Hours too short during summer at pool bar - closing at 6 on weekdays. Buffet not great, cold food. On par with JW Marriots all over.

Staying here a few nights for a NAPEO conference and it has been a wonderful stay thus far. The hotel rooms are spacious and provide great scenery. The dinning and overall appearance is welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place.

Excellent Property. Was there for a convention but with family. They have 4 pools, hot tub (isolated so can be like a personal), splash pad for my lil one. Room was spacious and nice view (5244 try that one). Breakfast was fantaboulous. Loved the entire stay. Special mention of Mr. Josh (Front Desk Manager) for taking care of all my needs and requests very patiently. He has been a true professional and hospitality was very well reflected in his skills. Thanks Josh for your time and patience.!!!

I attended a professional event in one the grand ballrooms and was amazed with how beautiful it looked. Instantly walking into the corridors and it was professional but elegant. The parking wasn't far either

The place is good if you can land it for under $200/night, since we paid twice that we were disappointed. Parking is far away from your room and we ended up cutting through the conference room area each time we left which was odd since they'd be serving buffets for the conference-goers. Only other complaint would be their scratchy and thin bath towels (think: $6 variety that has been through the wash 5,000 times). Lobby, landscaping, and other common areas were beautiful, which makes you think your room will be spectacular, but when you open the door you'll learn the $425/night room looks like any other hotel chain albeit with a bigger TV. Best part would be the bed, super comfortable.

Went to the spa. Was a wonderful, relaxing experience. The masseur was great! And nice to be able to use the resort amwnities for the day...a great staycation

A truly amazing experience. The staff were so nice. Our room was beautiful, and had a nice view of the resort. The restaurants are top notch and usually have little to no wait time.

The pools and lazy river are amazing. They're not too hot, and not too cold. There are 3 pools in total - 1 lazy river and 2 large pools.

In summary this was an amazing experience. I will probably come back to this resort and most definetely recommend people going to it.

The rooms are very cozy. Beds are extremely comfortable. The resort is very clean, and the staff has been very friendly and accommodating. It is a very large resort with a lot to do. I cannot wait to go back again.

Fantastic service, the friendliest staff, and a beautifully landscaped property... the JW was the perfect getaway for the two of us. There were many families also enjoying their stay, so I would have to say that it is perfect for both a romantic getaway or a family vacation. The spa is top notch, and the golf course on-site is incredible. I recommend this place for anyone wanting a beautiful desert getaway!

Very nice resort with lots of accommodations for kids. We were here on business and enjoyed their restaurants. They have 8 very nice tennis courts outside. Would definitely come back!

Very nice hotel and resort. Everything you could want including beautiful desert sunset views, top notch golf, 5 star dining, heated lazy river and cozy fire pits. Come and relax in peace and quiet. I've come here for business as well as pleasure and it exceeds my expectations on both levels. My parents and my entire family are staying here for their 50th wedding anniversary so we wanted to stay somewhere special. Very nice!

Hands down my favorite resort in the Phoenix area! Great golf, amazing lazy river/pools, and phenomenal restaurants!

Way over priced for what you get here. This place is massive so you get great golf courses and a huge spa but for $350 a night you don't get that much. You pay extra for Wi-Fi daily ($15), the rooms are in need of an update, and the service at the pool was very slow. (30+ minute wait for your drink order at times).
Overall you're paying for the name here. The staff was nice but you can tell that parts of the resort could use more workers. I don't see me spending that kind of money to stay again.

We ate Roy's Restaurant. One of my favorite restaurants. The butterfish is to die for.

The food provided during MASTERs conference wasn't good.

Will blow your mind, huge resort with lots of amenities and facilities from golfing to spa and big conference centre hosts a thousand and up at a time. Ample of parking with valet.

The paradise hotel in the middle of a hot hell. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is great, the manager needs some conflict resolution training before he gets the hotel sued.

So long story short. I went in for an appointment yesterday. Went to men's locker room to disrobe. Nice guy helped since this was my first visit to the spa. My friends are members of the resort and upon their urging, I made the appointment to help with an injury. After my message, I went back to locker-room and got ready to go. Unfortunately not thinking I left a bank envelope in my left pocket with $1550 in it. Upon noticing it was gone, I called the spa and explained the situation and was told I would receive a callback. The lady that called was rude and could care less that this money was taken and hurried to get off the phone! After filling police report, I found out this wasn't the first report of items being stolen. My massage was good, and this is no reflection on the therapist. My fault for leaving this in the locker but poor customer relations on their part. And maybe they should update the lockers!

We paid for a premium balcony room w a view ($300 a night during Covid-19), which was 2 steps above a standard room. We got a view of dusty, dirty awnings & a concierge guy who claimed the entire place is booked. Then you also pay for resort fees, which is standard now (I get it), but then they also stick you w mandatory pairs parking for another $17 PER night. Can t wait to see what other charges they tack on. They also overcharged my card when they said it wouldn t be charged until check out. I will NOT be back.

Upscale resort. Everything was so nice and spacious.

Spacious, modern villas with great views and easy access to pools and the JW hotel. Activities daily, friendly staff, all around relaxing vacation.

The lazy river and the waterslides awesome. We had a great view of the mountains :)

The food here is excellent! Be sure to try the pork tenderloin roulade or the butterfish, those were three highlights of our night. Also Roy's had mastered the mai tai to perfection!

Absolutely love this place. We stayed here for our last night in Arizona and the only thing we regretted was not staying here longer. The pools were amazing. The hotel itself is gorgeous. Every cocktail we got was fantastic. Staff were great.

The catered desert was excellent and the pools were high quality.

Awesome stay. Pool area is very impressive and the Griffin Club is very nice and has an outstanding breakfast. The room itself was kind of standard, but oh well.

I was attending a work meeting at this resort. The conference rooms were nice and the staff interaction was pleasant. They catered food from the resort and there was a great selection to choose from. Very good food!!

Wait, isn't this one of the most luxurious hotels in the area? Shouldn't it by default be getting 5 stars? Well . . . no. I always try to compare hotels to others of it's kind. After all, it wouldn't be fair to compare this to a Motel 6 or the now nearly defunct Howard Johnson, now would it?

I must first admit that I'm a big fan of Marriott. I travel quite a bit and stay at Marriotts whenever I can. I'm a bit spoiled. With that being said, the building was lovely, the rooms were clean and luxurious, and the food was quite good.

So why only 4 stars? I wasn't overly impressed with the staff. I hardly got a smile out of anyone. Not that I was trying, but the staff here seemed to be going more through the motions. I don't know the cause of this, but it was worth noting.

Nothing from the staff was special? What do I mean? I recently visited a competitor resort in Phoenix for a conference (I had to stay there) and every staff member was rushing to every guests need or whim. I had 3 valets help me with my car . . . 3. The maid noticed that I used more creamer and drank a fair amount of water so she left extra every day. That's the sort of treatment I want to experience from these massive resorts. Am I spoiled? Maybe, but I still stay at all ranges of hotels as the situation necessitates.

So, I would have just liked to have seen a little more out of this caliber resort. I'm close to giving it 5 stars, but I just can't quite get there. Please don't let this review deter you from staying here. It's a great resort and you will definitely enjoy your time.

Has all the general nice things of a resort like a nice pool, bell hop, valet, etc.... Without the other little things. Rooms seem like they were nice (before they got kind of beat up a few years ago) and wireless internet is about $15 a day and no breakfast.... I've stayed in places other places in Arizona that take better care of their guests for sure....

Beautiful location. We had a company Christmas party here, and it was fabulous. Wonderful and very accommodating staff.

Went for a professional event. Was well organized and for a busy bar afterwards seemed to be handled well.

The staff here at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge is phenomenal! Every staff member made sure my stay was the best it could be. They went out of their way to assist me in odd requests and make a work trip enjoyable!

Beautiful property and the grounds are pristine! The layout of the pools and water features here are very unique.

Beautiful location and landscaped well. Very large complex of conference rooms and hotel, expect to walk a lot.

Worked tons of entertainment events here. Everywhere on the property is absolutely beautiful from the entrance, the greens, to the rooms and the conference rooms. This is one of the busier places in Phoenix for corporate events for sure and is always decked out. The staff is always willing to help and accommodate your needs as possible. Great place!

Don't get me wrong the place look really fancy and really nice the outside Courtyard area looking really awesome the staff seemed very nice and wow the place looks amazing we went there specifically for the gingerbread Village and the only gingerbread thing we could find was this creepy looking Alice in Wonderland thing made of gingerbread and we're all a little bit disappointed but would it really have the time to go searching for it and the staff all seemed a little bit busy with actual paying guests so we just left but like I said the whole place looks amazing I'm sure the rooms are wonderful and who knows it might have had a really awesome gingerbread Village but we just didn't find it

Our stay was very relaxing. Resort very clean. Rooms are spacious and staff very nice and professional. Cannot wait to come again.

A beautiful campus with activities for the week laid out on brochures so you can plan ahead, we did a scavenger hunt, family escape games and made smores. The campus is huge you wont have issues getting your 10000 steps per day. The pools fill up in the afternoon...dont go in the afternoon unless you're interested in the social side of the pool life. The room sizes are above average and the televisons are around 65" so there's not bad view and the bathrooms are large. Staff are friendly..they must have an eye contact greeting rule because everybody greets you with a smile. I had a great time.

One of the housekeeping team members walked on me in the bathroom naked and continued to talk to me saying it's the to check out. It was 8:55 am!

I travel heavily and stayed in hotels all over the world with different star ratings from the Americas all the way to Dubai and the Middle East. I have never encountered any worse housekeeping service. I felt uncomfortable and threatened to say the least.
