Extremely dishonest and deceptive business practic...
Extremely dishonest and deceptive business practices employed by this company. I saw an ad online stating a price for a vehicle at $15950, I immediately called them and scheduled an appointment. 3 days later the vehicle price has jumped $1000. Before I made the 350 mile trek to this location I called the sales department and stated my observation. They said "Oh yeah we will be able to bring that back down to the original price you saw, NO PROBLEM!"
After inspecting the car and noticing about $500 worth of damage, I decided I wanted to purchase it for the price that I saw advertised. The GM's son tries to convince me that this car's value has increased that much over 3 days. He proceeds to pull up the kbb values for the car, and show me the wonderful deal I'm getting. The kbb values listed are an average of the 3 types of trim the car has. I know the kbb fair price for this car is $14500, he shows me numbers at least 3 grand higher. Also tries to tell me the car is a specific trim, which is easily proven wrong by looking at the back of the car. After fruitless negotiating and refusing to come down about $300 I took my 16k and walked out. I had a pleasant interaction with Audra, and feel sorry for her that her GM's son robbed her of a decent commission.
Some pointers for 66:
- Know and understand what vehicles you are trying to sell
- Try to avoid using false numbers and other deceptive tactics to lure your customers into buying overpriced cars.
- A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
For potential buyers:
-Read Better Business Bureaus complaints about them. There is a significant history associated with them.
-Online Purchase price includes a $1000 Sansone rebate
-Sansone Jrs. 66 automall employs a market based pricing on their vehicles, it seems that every vehicle is subject to daily market projected value fluxuations. Sneakily, they only seem to use this when it increases the price
