Our air conditioner stopped working last night. I called John Moore Services at 8 am this morning, and the technician was here around noon. He had the AC running by about 2 pm (working in an extremely hot attic). He did a great job, and helped us get set up to prevent the problem from happening again.

The kitchen sink drain failed late Monday afternoon. I called John Moore Services. They scheduled services for the following morning at 1000. The tech called at 0830 the following morning and indicated he was on the way. He arrived before 1000. He found the problem and performed the plumbing repair. He brought the kitchen plumbing up to current code when completing the repair. It is now better than it was before the repair.

HORRIBLE. DO NOT USE THEM, THEY ARE INEFFECTIVE, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS RUDE AND AWFUL. Hired them to take care of hornets and ant nests in my yard. They come out, talk my husband into a yearly package, and then spray my yard and home. Two weeks later, my tree cutters find hornets nest all over my yard. My husband goes out and sprays (even tough we have paid John Moore to spray already). After that, it rained and I found a cockroach in my kitchen. John Moore came out and laid bait, and a few weeks later I find more roaches, and they have to come out again and this time he says he forgot to bait around my dishwasher, so he takes care of that. Then, fire ants were found in my office. John Moore came out and sprayed on 11/25/13. The technician's note says "no activity detected, sprayed home and yard". Today, 12/05/13, I find an army of fire ants in my family room and kitchen.

I call them this morning to ask them to fix the situation, and the woman on the phone was RUDE, CONDESCENDING, and INEFFECTIVE (just like their terminators). She proceeded to LECTURE ME on the how to process of pest removal works, and then kept asking me "do you understand the process?" while COMPLETELY IGNORING my concerns. When I brought this to her attention she then proceeded to tell me to stop interrupting her while she was talking, and I told her I wanted to talk to someone else. She then CONTINUED TO LECTURE ME and try to say she wasn't actually lecturing me. She basically blamed me for the pest problems and kept trying to shut me up. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only home in Texas with fire ant issues.

Then she put me through to some random guy's voicemail and told me to "HAVE A GREAT DAY" in just about the snottiest voice ever. I am asking for my contract to be terminated and I want a refund, if I can ever get someone who gives a crap on the phone to help me.

And FYI, I have no kids, we clean our house and mop it every other day, and we're not hoarders or anything. We're just normal everyday people who wanted pest control at our house and John Moore FAILED on so many levels. DO NOT HIRE THEM GET A REAL PEST CONTROL SERVICE. You do not "GET MORE", you get a lecture and horrible customer service.

John Moore sent Tom Lee to my house to diagnose the cause of excessive vibration in my air handler. Tom was able to diagnose the problem quickly and confirmed parts were eligible for replacement under warranty. The parts were available at a local warehouse, and Tom replaced the same day. I was only charged for labor, and at first, I felt the cost was a bit on the high side. However, Tom went above and beyond with the repair by taking his time to do it right, and provided extra stability to a poor design from the manufacturer. Classic example of "you get what you pay for." Tom is a professional and will answer your questions in a way that you can understand. When he left, the vibration issue was gone and my family is able to sleep in a cool quiet house at night. Overall, I am very satisfied with John Moore services and will use them again.

Marcus Hill & John Adams came to my home on Thursday morning to install a new electrical box, meter can, and thru the roof riser. By noon they had completed their work ... waiting on Centerpoint to reconnect services. There was a major screw-up with Centerpoint & Reliant. They were not scheduled to reconnect services until May 16 NOT March 16. By early evening John completed the installation. Both men were back this morning to check out everything & label the box. Absolutely the most professional & courteous service persons that I have ever met! THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!

I highly recommend Tom Lee. I had an issue with my A/C and he was able to quickly diagnose and explain my repair and replacement options. Tom is very respectful and treats you like a close friend. The $99 drain special was a waste of time for me. When I placed the order for a person to come I explained that I didn't have an outside cleanout. John Moore had come out 2 years before and cleared a kitchen drain for me for $69, they accessed the pipes under the kitchen sink at that time. The person taking the call assured me that there would be no problem with that. When the technician Derrick arrived, that's when the problems started. He said they would not be able to honor the advertised price because there was no outside cleanout. After a back and forth with customer service they reluctantly agreed to do the service. After they finished they told me there would be no warranty. There was no camera inspection and the drain problem recurred 2 days later. Annette with customer service informed me that the cost of a drain clearing is $249 if there is no outside access. A $99 lesson learned.

love this company. after using another and spending lots of money with no results we finally called John Moore what a difference, first we had them at our house the day we called,the other company took 3-4 days at least,second they were professional showed us exactly what was wrong on their i pad. we decided to replace the entire unit as the other was so inadequate for our home,and improperly installed, they scheduled that for the next day and were here a full hour before they were scheduled. another plus for them from the first technician to the crew replacing our unit they used shoe covers every time they entered our home. As I write this they are still in the process of installing the units upstairs but so far a truly great experience.one lesson we learned is don't cheap out on this kind of equipment it comes back to haunt you in the end. If we need any further service we will certainly use John Moore again.

WE had a follow up visit by Henry to install the wifi for our system. he went out of his way to make sure it was installed perfectly. He is so professional,very helpful,pleasant,easy to understand, just and all around helpful person. alls well with the system,the wifi to my phone is set and working like a charm. We just love these guys.

Hana s and John Moore AC we re awesome. My AC went out the night before a trip where we were supposed to leave our pets at home so someone could come by and take care them. We called at 5:30pm and they came out later that night and got our system fixed (low Freon) and back up and running. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone!

John Adams had a tough job. Two days of redevicing the entire house and replacing the electric panel and grounding system. He was very polite and accomodating with all of our plug and switch discoveries...behind heavy furniture, lots of boxes, etc... He had lots of furniture to move by himself and he was very respectful of my mothers breakables and always concerned with not damaging her furniture. I know my mother feels less anxiety about her electric service. Thanks so much John.

The Tech named Kiel diagnosis the problem and got the appropriate parts. He checked the unit and now it is cooling properly. The installation of the toilet was done in a very reasonable amount of time, the clear caulking made the installation look awesome and flawless. I called John Moore to get a second Opinion on my AC unit that quit working. The other company came out and told me right away that it was my Compressor and was looking at almost 3000 to repair along with freon . Leo with John Moore came and found that it was not the compressor and it would only cost me only 599. Where I m going with this is when you are looking to get something repaired that some companies my seem more expensive, but at the end of the day you get the truth and as you see I saved a lot of money. John Moore if you are reading this I want to thank you for your customers service, and professionalism Leo gave us. First off I love the confidence Hamad came in with....He said he already knew what the problem was before he got to my home. I had already got a estimate from another company but was not sure what they was finding was the problem with my AC unit...almost $800 in repairs is what they was saying....After just having a baby this was to much of an unexpected experiences out of pocket. But then I called John Moore to get a second opinion a no extra cost to come out. That when Hamad arrived he was great very professional and said what i had explain to dispatch didn't sound like what the other company was telling me. He looked over my unit and in about 15 20 minutes he had already found the problem and it wasn't noting to major either. what would of cost $800 for a new circuit board only coast $299 total for a smaller problem. He was very well knowledgeable about what was going on with my system. He will always be our AC repair guy. Thank you Hamad you did a great job.

Serviceman replaced in- unit air filters. Very courteous and professional and, although this is a very messy job, left everything immaculate inside and out. It was great to receive a pic of who was going to show up also. I actually purchased the maintenance package at the same time so the service call was considered included after the fact. Good deal! Only downside was the battery of questions I had to answer to place the service request. The appointment setter said the questions were useful to gauge the technician needed. Who knows. Overall, great experience .

I called up to fix our additional Nest thermostat on second floor. First floor was already done by the same guy a year ago. The house is same and the wiring are the same. Still he told to replace the wiring to which it would cost $949 for just hooking up the Nest Thermostat which same person did the work for $129 a year ago.

The same day I called up someone else and the work was completed without any wiring change. I would say please pay attention to detail.

The guy only looked at the thermostat and judged the whole wiring which is not good at all. You can't judge a book by the cover.

I am glad I didn't opt for the expensive install and went with a small company who knows what to look for and how to do the job properly.

I wish I could give them 0 stars, our service was so horrible. We waited for a technician who could not find our house on his GPS & called to say at the end of the time window he wouldn't be coming. They sent someone out the next day & they told us our AC had parts that needed replacing & those parts were not under warranty. We called another company to get a second quote. Somehow the other company was able to come first thing the next day, found that the parts were in fact under warranty, and did the repairs in less than 20minutes. Not to mention came under way under the price of John Moore.

Horrible workmanship! We had our siding and flashing replaced thru John Moore. We had a leak from the roof and we were told everything was fixed. We went ahead with sheetrock replacement on the interior of our home due to damage from the roof leak. The sheet rock repair alone was over $1700 plus the $3000 paid to John Moore. This service came with a warranty. We noticed another leak only months later in the same spot. John moore came back out to repair the bad workmanship from the previous repair, but we still had to once again replace sheetrock (another $900). Only one year after the initial service we have ANOTHER leak! Same place, however, this time John Moore is claiming that it isn't under warranty and wants to charge an additional $1500 to fix, not to mention the extensive sheetrock repairs needed on the interior of our home due to negligence on their part. RUN from this company!!! Find another.

If I could give a zero I would I had scheduled a furnace inspection my time was 8 to 10 .at 10 I called they told me my appointment was changed between 10 and 2 they didn't notify me in the morning I received a text and email to expect him between 8 an 10.

I was given a service window of between 4 p.m and 8 p.m. the service guy shows up at 10:30 p.m. not a problem I needed the service.

Now where the problem comes in is that he left without giving me a quote or anything written.

He went in the back yard looked at my unit and JUST GOT IN HIS TRUCK AND DROVE OFF WITHOUT A WORD!!! WHAT TYPE OF BUSINESS REP IS THIS?

Also I was informed that Humphrey Guardiola would be the tech, this guy introduced himself as Frank! I'm feeling really disturbed by his unprofessional behavior. I waited hours for this non-sense!!

Their customer service has gone down, the quality of technicians has gone down, and the price for services has gone up from my experience.

I have been a customer of John Moore Services since 2010. I had my home repiped with them, had a new water heater installed with them, had new shower fixtures installed with them, had countless calls for drain clog repairs with them, and any plumbing problem we had we would only call them. The way I was treated this last time, I will never use John Moore Services again. Lied to by two different technicians, wasted time off of work and waiting b/c the first technician could not solve the problem, treated horribly by the customer service rep who I called to speak to about my problems, and when I finally asked to speak to a plumbing manager, the lovely dispatch person (who was the only one who gave me an apology for the whole thing) told me that the plumbing manager would personally give me a call.

Nope, he didn t. He had the customer service rep who treated me horribly to call back and give me a refund of $100 on the $200 they charged me hoping I d go away. Oh and the fist technician quoted me $99 and the 2nd technician quoted me $220 even though they used the same machine. They didn t solve the problem and told me I had to do hydrojet b/c too much grease. I went out bought a $17, 25 feet snake auger with rotating drum on back off of Amazon and had the clog cleared in under an hour. Never again will I use or refer them ever again on any of their services.

I have been using John Moore Services for years now. Over the years, they have gotten better and better. They give free estimates which is a big plus in my book. They also give you a good solution, better solution, and a best solution if able to, depending on your needs and financial situation. They are very well managed from the top down. No company is perfect and I have had a few complaints here and there where somethings weren't up my expectations, but they have always addressed my concerns, fixed it, and made me happy in the end. Ask for a technician named Derick M. (my most recent technician). He listens to you all your concerns, will do whatever he can to address any you might have, and will make sure to stay extra if need be to make sure everything is done correctly.

Originally, it was supposed to be for electrical work so that I could use a personal air conditioner, but he found that the cause was holes in my ducts, so he stopped the electrical work so that the correct problem could be addressed. He was super polite and answered my rather long list of questions, too, and was absolutely wonderful. Professionals like Andrew are the reason that I use John Moore Services for all of my electric, HVAC, and other household needs.

Charles James is Excellent. I woke up to a leak coming from a vent in my bathroom. Called J Moore at 7:00am Sunday morning and Charles was there at 9:30 am. It took him less than 5 minutes to climb up into the attic and find the problem. It wasn t the HVAC at all. There was a leaking pipe going to my water heater. I recently had a new one installed so I thanked him and told him I would call my installer. He didn t even charge me!!!!! I have been looking for a new HVAC maintenance company for a few months. From here on out it s John Moore.

To say that Art went above and beyond is an understatement. This man spent four hours working to unstick my calcified faucet handles, when most would have given up and said they tried, or told me to buy new ones. He even stayed ten minutes past the end of his twelve-hour shift to finish my work. I am floored by his kindness and work ethic. John Moore has an absolute gem in him. 1000% would recommend him personally.

Had a AC issue and called John Moore at 6 pm at night...they were at my house next morning at 10 am!! WoW! That is fast service!! They not only found and fixed my issue, they found another issue that was just "days' from a potential break down...after explaining exactly the problem, I authorized fixing it, and now I'm all set! great peace of mind that they checked my whole system out and fixed what I had no idea was about to Break....Thank you Jose and Nick for the great service at my house!!!
