Honestly a fine experience buying at Joe cotton. Issues I have are more with the vehicle. Dash feels incredibly cheap and rickety, and there are more than a few random rattles, which as anyone can attest to, are the absolute worst things in a vehicle as well as one of the hardest to replicate and identify. Jason the salesman was great and worked through everything with me, that's why in eating a 5. If I was eating the vehicle itself, it would be lower because of these annoying random noises.

I have been to many dealerships over the years. I can truly say that all of the Joe cotton ford employees that I have worked with over the years have been amazing. This is the 5th car that my family and I have bought from Joe cotton Ford. They are very Nice, Kind, Honest, and helpful when I go there. Which makes it s nice to be able to go there and not feel like they only want a sale. I m so happy with every purchase I ve made from them. I Highly recommend them.
I've been buying my cars from Joe Cotton Ford since 1980. Wouldn't go anywhere else. They take care of their customers in sales and in service. Thank you
I have been servicing my 07 Navigator L at Cotton since I bought it new. Great service still going strong. Wouldn't take it anywhere else! Service manager Dave Malloy is one of the main reasons I still service my Ford and Lincoln vehicles at Cotton. Great attention to detail.
My feel good story of 2020: bought a used truck from Joe Cotton Ford. This truck slipped through the cracks and shouldn t have been sold without a warning. You hear about the big guy taking care of the little guy but you never experience it. I did, with this dealership. They took the truck back, gave me what I paid, even a little extra to compensate my troubles, AND THEN gave me a smokin deal on a better vehicle with 1/3 the mileage. I don t want to give false hope that they have the deal of a lifetime on every car they sell, but when every dealer in America could have easily said you bought it as-is, pal and brushed me off... Pam and Danny went WAY out of their way to take care of my problem. 8 fords in my family, when they get replaced in the future this will be our new go-to dealer. I can talk all day about how happy I am, but you have a car to buy. Start your search at Joe Cotton, you won t regret it.
I rarely go to a dealer. None of my 4 cars are in warranty so I do most of the work myself. When it is something I cannot do I have a friend who is a private mechanic and he solves the rest of the problems.
My 2005 Ford GT was a special case and needed an expert to help with my issues. I am lucky enough to know Dave Malloy, Joe Cottons Service Manager and he encouraged me to bring the car down and he and his SVT certivfied mechanic Todd would help me out.
I could not have been more pleased with the whole experience. I was treated like Royalty! My car received the best care of possible. It was fixed promply and properly. The charges were very much in line with the high quality of service I received. Dave was also MOST gracious in taking me around and interducing me the whole support team at Joe Cotton. Including Pam who runs the whole operation. I was impressed to say the least.
Although I hope I don't need any serious service in the near future I will definately go back to Joe Cotton Ford when any events occur that require service for my Ford GT. I am convinced that they are the best.
Also, should I need a new vehicle. Joe Cotton will be my first stop. I know the great treatment would continue.
Great place to do business, I was able to come to a very good agreement on my 2018 Focus ST purchase with Mike D. and Jay B. It took very little effort on my part and Mike ran through all of the details of the charges. Highly recommend this dealership, and everyone should come here first.
Waiting room smells and the WiFi password posted is just wrong. Customers spend more time with your waiting room more than they will with any sales rep.
Had an awesome experience. Both my parents bought their cars here. Highly recommend. Also big thanks to Sharon Delong for taking the time to help me get my dream car.
What can I say don't go to any other Ford dealer four or five times better than Packey Webb people are polite courteous mechanics especially diesel mechanics are awesome service people when you talk to them are very knowledgeable what more needs to be said not too many honest places around anymore
Bought a used Buick Enclave from them. Had a local mechanic check it over and found over $2000 in repairs that needed to be done, including $900 to fix the AC that we had already told them didn't work and that they "fixed". Meaning they didn't want to repair the giant leak, so they filled it with freon, knowing it would work for a day or 2, and sent us on our way. $2000 isn't a huge deal, but the fact that they weren't honest with us is a reason I would never go back. Buyer beware if you're buying anything used from them.
*Update: I spoke with Pam and they reimbursed me for the repairs and apologized for missing the issues with my car. It's pretty incredible that they did that, even though legally they didn't have to. I would definitely purchase from them again in the future as they truly do stand behind the vehicles they sell.
Service Department/Body Shop - Until recently I was not aware Joe Cotton Ford had an auto body repair shop and I am so happy they do. You would normally visit a dealership for auto repairs or to purchase a vehicle but Joe Cotton Ford also has an Auto Body Repair Shop and a great one at that!! Their repair service department coordinated the repairs needed on my Lincoln Navigator directly with State Farm without needing my assistance, as they are an approved repair shop with State Farm. Anyone that has had the pleasure of dealing with getting insurance estimates, finding approved repair shops and coordinating the scheduling, drop off and pickup, knows it is a time consuming pain in the neck. All of this was done by the Joe Cotton staff! I can't express how wonderful it is to have all of this taken care of for me and the repair work done on my truck is perfect! If you are in need of an auto body repair shop, look no further than Joe Cotton Ford!!
Good people to deal with no bs only reason why I didn t give 5stars is because they need to get a quick lane so oil changes don t need to be scheduled other then that will definitely be taking my truck back there!!!
Best service I've ever had! Specifically Max and Marcos went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my visit to Joe Cotton Ford! Would recommend to anyone!
Definitely 5 stars. They made the process of buying a new car easy. They took time helping us choose the car that fit our needs and budget! Rich, Danny, Rick and Mike were the best and huge thank you!! We would highly recommend Joe Cotton Ford!
They did a great job repairing my vehicle for the most part, but they forgot to but one of the caliper bolts back in. Luckily I was able to catch it before it did any damage to the wheel, and I took the wheel off and put a replacement bolt in myself, but that might not be an option for the average customer. Make sure you check that all bolts are properly tightened.
They were a bit difficult to reach at times, but they did usually try to make an effort to call me back, which is definitely above average when compared to other dealerships.
Overall, an above average experience except for the missing parts/incomplete job.
Great dealership with very friendly service department, which says a lot about dealership. Many places will sell you the vehicle but service is lacking. These guys seem to work hard to keep customers happy. Easy to spot from North Avenue and easy access to their lot.
Took car in for 6 mos. checkup and oil change. All good. Only comment is when we picked vehicle up, my wife turned ignition on and the radio was on full blast and nearly knocked her out of her seat! If you re going to listen to it that loud, at least turn it down or off when finished.
You can tell the customer service of a dealer when you're not in the market. I dropped off my company off lease vehicle there. I called several dealers in the area not one would even call me back to allow me to drop it off. Dan at Joe Cotten called me back and took care of me on a Saturday when they were busy. I was in and out. And I can tell you the next time I'm in the market Joe Cotton Ford will be the place I go.
I had visited this dealership in June 18 to fix a few minor issues with my Escape (continue reading to see why I'm reviewing my experience 4 months later). It was minor wear and tear issues around the car, nothing serious, my bill was $636 dollars, definitely pricey for what I had done, but I could not do the repairs myself, so I had no choice.
I must say that the gentleman who put in my request was very polite and very professional, I enjoyed interacting with him. I had also requested from him a couple of quotes on things that were not that important to me, one of which was to fix an issue where my heater would only work on max (4) but not on lower speeds (1,2 and 3).
The gentleman proceeded to tell me that the repair for this would be $400. I politely declined, as I considered this to be too much and left, thinking I'd deal with this issue at another time, which brings me to today.
Today I finally got around to researching what could be making my heater not work on lower speeds. In a nutshell, I found a video on youtube (for a Ford Escape too!) and how to fix this problem. What it takes? A $30 part from Autozone, called a "blower motor resistor", a common 8mm wrench and 3 minutes time. You replace the resistor from inside the car, you don't even need to dirty your hands!
$400 vs $30 for 5 minutes of work. Again: $400 vs $30 for 5 minutes of work.
So I'm writing this review now, with the goal of trying to help even one person from being ripped off.
To the people at Ford: You have disappointed me and you have lost my trust.
I feel terrible for the generation before mine, who didn't have Youtube or Google. I bet it must've been a golden age for the car dealers though.
I was completely satisfied with my June 19th 2 year maintenance service on my Escape. Dave Malloy was great, pleasant and very attentive to my vehicles servicing. I appreciate being able to work with him on my cars maintenance schedule. Thanks much Dave.
Roman was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. No high pressure, just information that helped us make a decision to buy a car. Happy with the vehicle and will visit Joe Cotton Ford when we are looking for our next vehicle.
I replaced my own air filters (including the cabin) and then went in for my scheduled oil change the next day. After waiting an hour, the tech (older man) informed me that my cabin air filter was dirty and needs to be replaced. After I told him I just replaced it, he quietly went and remade the invoice. No argument made. They never checked the filter and tried to just charge me for a new one. Be careful at the service department and do your research before doing the repairs they suggest!!!
No bueno, never dealt with sales but service is sketchy, Lou is a liar, I d tell you all about my experience here at rotten joe cotton but it s too much to explain. I don t mind paying the 140 bucks an hour but I need some transparency! I will say, Mike made it right but a lot of folks woulda just paid. Keep it honest boys! People hate coming in to the stealership for this exact reason .
I would never suggest to any of my friends to buy a vehicle from,Joe Cotton Ford. They are very deceiving, I told their mechanic when I took it in that, I knew what was wrong with my brakes. And they came back that I needed all new brake pads and rotor's which are not covered in the warranty. How ever ,I knew that the caliper was bad and that is covered under the warranty!! Funny ,how they didn't catch that the caliper was locked up.Very shady dealership and buyer beware!
Pam and John at Joe Cotton Ford made a dreadful situation feel like a walk in the park! If you need a car, you must go to Joe Cotton Ford! Thank you for the incredible service, you really went above and beyond! We will definitely be back to purchase our next car from you! I can't say thank you enough!
We have bought all of our vehicles at Joe Cotton Ford. Their service cannot be beat. Everyone is so helpful and courteous and our cars are repaired and maintained with the best quality. We are so happy to have recently purchased a 2020 Escape and to know that it will be in good hands.
They are a great dealer for sales and service. We got a great deal on our truck years ago.. Also their service center is good too fixing our (in warranty) ford focus and doing a great job of it.. thanks!
I called at the beginning of July to inform the service department that i wanted my recalls done on my car. They forgot to call me when the parts came in but that was the only hiccup of this whole story. Once I got my car in, they put my vehicle on a emergency list and did the recall within two days. To top it off, they also solved two other issues I informed them of within that time span and kept me in the loop through it all. Overall, great experience and would definitely recommend this place to anyone with a ford!
We use Joe Cotton exclusively for our family's auto needs. Between our family, we have 2 Explorers. a Focus, a Fusion and a F150 all purchased from Joe Cotton. There are only a handful of sales people here, which I appreciate, because I am able to follow up with Roman, our salesperson, easily and he is very helpful with any questions and communication is a breeze. The shining star in the Joe Cotton Ford dealership though, would have to be their service department, ran by Dave Malloy. They are hands down the best service department around and treat everyone like family. If you're in need of a new car or service, you can't go wrong with Joe Cotton Ford!
So disappointed. We have bought 4 cars. I have never had such poor service as on my last request. My panel broke on the rear passenger door.i was in twice in July. I was back in sepSeptem. I had promises of repair...but all quick fixed. I called and requested a new panel. It wasn't ordered thouft I was told it was. I brought it in after I called and requested the part and a repair date on my own. I was asked to bring it over on a thThursd and did picked up a very dirty smelling rental... I drove the rental for five days because my work order was never written. They sent the door panel back to ford because no order was written... I waited the two extra days to get the panel back and installed. Ugh. Terrible service from a great dealership...but no offer to even make amends.
Joe Wolfe at Joe cotton Ford is the best. Great service and fast. I got an amazing first car here. Everyone was very kind and helpful. I recommend everyone come down to Joe Cotton Ford.
I asked them to look into why my battery goes dead when my car just sits even within just a few days. I let them know ahead of time that the new stereo system that was installed in the car was not the issue because the battery drop problem existed long before the new stereo system was installed. All they did was plug in their diagnostic tool to confirm there is a battery draw and then they charged me $127 and told me that the problem was my stereo system... They could ve easily disconnected it with one wire and proven that that was not the issue but instead they chose to just charge me and send me on my way.
****UPDATE**** So the next day after a discussion with the Service manager, they offered to have the car back in to dig in further. They were very apologetic and went out of their way to make this right. It actually took 3 days to find the problem because it was so intermittent but they did find it and soon my car will be good as new! Can t wait! Big Thanks to Dave the Service Manager for taking care of me! They are now getting 5 stars because they took care of this and solved my problem!
Everyone at the dealership was upbeat, helpful and clearly enjoying their work. The buying experience could not have been better. This is our second Ford purchase from Joe Cotton Ford but it won't be the last!
Extremely professional sales staff. Sales manager and John were extremely helpful! Their attention to detail does not go unrecognized, it was nothing short of a fantastic experience.
The staff was very personable. Jason was so good to my wife and I. He took care of our requests in a very professional caring way. I will make sure that all my co-workers know about my pleasant experience at Joe Cotton Ford. Thank you Jason and Joe Cotton Ford.
This dealer and it's gutless leader Paul Cotton is the worst car dealer I have ever had to deal with. If you like poor service on your vehicle and a manager that will not even listen to your complaint this is the place to go. You even get kicked out of the office when you question the extremely poor service. I wonder if the positive reviews for this dealer are written by employees or relatives. Cant be real customer the way we were treated. STAY AWAY and you will be better of and have lower blood pressure as this guy is as arrogant a person as I have ever had to deal with.
We were looking for a new SUV. We look at 3 different SUV, Dodge, Toyota and Ford. Dodge to busy for us.. Toyota was nice but not big enough for us. Joe Cotton Ford help us find the perfect SUV for me and the price I wanted to pay. They truly work with you to make you happy. I did not by my SUV in a day. We took about 2 weeks to do this and they did not hound us. Was great to have the time to ask Question and look for what we wanted. Ken Choate, are sale man was the best!!
Sales department is solid. Never had an issue with them. Their service department used to be good and now I find myself dreading taking my car in. The service tech Zack is not fun to deal with. When you talk to him on the phone to make an appointment he talks to you like you're inconveniencing him by calling. Taking my business to Haggerty Ford until it's time to ditch Ford for good. Sorry not sorry.
I've been a customer for nearly 30 years. Most of my business is service now. I think they're honest and forthright people. The auto business is tough and very competitive. Joe Cotton continues to get my business because they know my car very well.
Joe Cotton Ford is the cosiest family owned dealership around. Sales department treats you like they are family. Service department will always go out of their way to help and get your car done as quickly as they can. Updated service waiting room and free wifi!
Jason Conn was wonderful to deal with! The whole staff was so friendly from the owner to the finance department. We had such a great experience and will definitely work with them again!
Took my car in for oill change. No appointment needed. Waited almost less than 2 hours for cmpletion. Got my car washed, too. Comfortable customer wait area. WiFi & coffee available. Courteous service.
Here we go again. Took my 2016 Ford Focus in to have the maintenance done on it. Was told 1:45 wait. They drove me home. Went back in to pick it up at 11:15am. Dropped off the fiance Edge for a oil change. Going on almost 4 hours and still not done. Not even a phone call to apologize. Unreal.
Gregg is the AWESOMEST. He made my first truck buying experience nice and painless. He made sure to tell me all of my buying options and answered all of my buying questions. The best thing I liked was that he let me made the decisions and took all the times that I needed. No pushing or pulling, just me and my F-150. Thanks a bunch Gregg. This is my first truck and probably not my last. This dealership is a joy to do business with.
Excellence said in a different way: Joe Cotton Ford : buy from them, maintain and repair your cars here and they take care of you! They take care of you to feel like a family member.
We just came to look at and buy a truck, cash in hand. This truck was pretty much just what we needed, and was almost identical to the one we were replacing. We drove 45 minutes to get there to see this one particular truck before they closed, and even called beforehand to let them know we were on our way. We got there with 15 minutes to spare, so we walked right over to see it, asked to test drive it, and our salesman, John said, "Nope. Sorry, we close at 7. The gates close at 7." So we left. I guess he wanted to go home more than he wanted to let us drive it around the block. Really disappointing. We were ready to buy.
