I recommend First Data if you are small business looking for a fast, efficient and affordable way of processing customer payments. I called serveral different providers and was either sent straight to voicemail or no one picked up the phone. I called First Data and got to speak with a sales rep right away. Working with Adil Shamin at First Data was a great experience! He made the process easy and hassle-free. There was a small discrepency in the intial set up due to the configuration of my office, but Adil was quick to resolve the issue in a professional manner providing the kind of customer service that is rare these days. And the folks working at the help desk are actually helpful! So far service, product and pricing has been great. No plans to change providers!

As for customer service - I had the pleasure of dealing with Adil Shamim. Adil made the entire enrollment process very clear and straight forward. There were no sales pitches on packages I didn't need or want and no confusing or intimidating "suggestions" forcing me to add additional features or services. As a first time business owner that meant a lot!
After enrollment Adil has continued to be me go to person for any and all questions or requests with near immediate acknowledgment of my needs. I would have to assume all First Data representatives must be as experienced and thorough as Adil, otherwise he would most likely already be promoted!
I strongly suggest you go with First Data for all your payment handling needs! They honestly make you feel like a person trying to accomplish your dream, rather than just a number they collect money from.

Technical support is a joke. we got a used machine that the power cable wasn't fitting on and kept disconnecting. we had it replaced with another used one that stopped working after a few months. i called in and they offered me a complete replacement unit for $60 per year from now till the end of my usage. after a call they told me there is now a $500 cancelation fee when they said otherwise when we made the contract.
Prior to this issue we also had issues we called to set up a password on manual entry which ended up being the same for all the machines in north America which is useless and they told me that i had to request a specific password and the customer service failed to mention that and costed us at least $2000 in damages.
Frank mancuso was very helpful and patient with me! Great customer service. He was always easy to get a hold of and didnt mind answering any questions i had! He was thorough and easy to deal with! The clover mini arrived really fast and he called to check up and make sure it was all good! Highly recommend to give him a call if you need a payment solution!
Pat Horszynski was the rep I talked to. He is super informative and answered all my questions over the phone. I don t like pushy sales people, and Pat really wasnt one of them. When he answered my questions on the phone.. i asked him to email me the answers and he did that. I appreciate how fast he got back to my emails and answered my questions patiently and politely !! I chair a fundraiser in Hamilton and asked the bank manager at Tandia who she would recommend in terms of renting POS machines. She recommended First Data and put me in contact with an account executive by the name of Pat Horszynski. Pat could not have been more helpful. He walked me through the process and made suggestions to ensure the best outcomes at the event. The machines were extremely user-friendly. I would suggest that if you are renting the machines for a single function that you request that the way bill be delivered along with the machines to ensure prompt return. Started my first computer and cellphone store in Downtown Toronto and needed a credit and debit machine.Did my research in the market and the rates that I was being offered were unrealistic and then I got the contact of Memon Salhar from First Data.He was very transparent with the whole deal from the very first day and his service was really quick and hassel free he actually processed and gave me the machine in 5 days.
To sum up things if you need a credit and debit card machine I would recommend you to get in touch with Memon Salhar cause he will look after you.

Prior to using the Clover payment system, we only accepted cash at our Panzeroli Food Truck . The sales representative, Keshav Seechurn, was extremely helpful in explaining things in detail. The online demo was very useful and demonstrated the use of the Clover system with ease. The actual unit arrived quickly and was easy to set up and customize to our liking. We had many comments from customers on the look and functionality of the unit. The sales summary and detailed breakdown of items sold were at our fingertips and made it easy to track sales. The customer support was fantastic. I felt confident in using this system knowing I could call Keshav personally if I needed to. The system worked exceptionally well and we didnt require any additional support. I am very happy that we chose Clover!

pay cloud inc (agent of First data) is fraud. one of your company sales rep mr. rohit given wrong information to us by saying there is no contract and he put me on lease. When i called first data leasing to check as soon as i received terminal, they said we cannnot cancel because of lease . I made a official complaint to First Data about this company. I sent the message to the guy and company as a proof. If my issue not resolved i will file a complaint against pay cloud company in Business Bureau and others possible platform
Finally, a company which understands the real business world, starting from the office in

I have been using First Data for 6 weeks and have had a very positive experience. I started using their payment processing device - the Clover Flex - and am loving it!
It is very advanced and has apps that allow me to build and send a schedule to my employees, they can clock in and out on the device every day and it keeps track of their hours for me and customers love it as well. They can opt to email and text the receipt to themselves and it s very user friendly.
It has a camera, is wireless and hasn t had any glitches since we started using it.
Salhar helped me get set up and the customer service was great, he gave me a break down of their rates and they were the best I found in Canada for my type of business.
So I m getting great rates and a great terminal - for the same price as the outdated ones!

La pire compagnie , the worse company !!! We've been with them on the phone for 2 hours to update the verifone . It was supposed to be fast ! It's not fixed yet . They don't want to send a technicien unless we pay . They also couldn't find us in their system . It took them 1 hour to find us but they find us every month or so to send the bill . We need the machine tonight ans it doesn't work !!! We were with Global before and , we'll go back with them as soon as we can ! We also ask the technicien what was the name of his manager which he kept referring to and , he said he didn't know !

This has to be the worst kind of company on the earth . Their representatives are extremely pushy and tried to get me and my partner to sign with quote " no cancelation fees " as soon as we tried to send this machine back they told us you can cancel the service but no the lease on the machine something they DID not tell us . After full run arounds over the phone they gave us an extremely hard time we are currently still waiting to reach someone at this business that can do the cancellation. Do yourself a huge favour and stick to Moneris their fees rise sometimes but you can at least know you're with a big company - not a shady one that First data is .

First Data is such a rip off! I signed up for merchant services 3-1/2 years ago. I closed my company last year however as I signed a 4 year contract I am required to keep my account active and pay the minimum fee monthly or otherwise cancel and pay $500. So I decided it was more cost effective to just ride out the contract. Just yesterday however I noticed that these guys withdrew an additional $90 from my account. When I called to inquire they tell me that they have added an annual service fee of $90 this year. How can they just add a $90 fee to a contract that this did not include. If I want to cancel my contract they will penalize me however they can go right ahead and add new fees to my contract whenever they feel like it? Such a scam! I would stay away from this company and go somewhere else!
This is perfect for any business type but in particular, I am a small business owner and it makes life so much easier. Customer service is impeccable. I had the pleasure to work with Kesh and he went through everything that I wanted and explained what the best option would be. Very prompt with answering emails or phone calls and they make sure that you are satisfied at the end. I would highly recommend this for anyone starting a business or someone already with a business, they have something to suit every situation.
They are brutal so stay away. I did sign up as he was saying i would save big $. After he went over all of the info it was so minimal that my regular bank beat. I sent a email saying i wanted to cancel and did not accept the machine when it was delivered to my business. I got a phone call from some rude guy telling ,e i was paying and not using first data. I said i dint know this and wanted it canceled. He said he would send me to collections even though i was paying. I am going to ask a lawyer if there is a way i could get out of this as i will never give them my business. If i have to i will pay the min for 4 years and cancel then. Stay away.

We bought the Clover POS unit - if you can deal with the initial purchase cost instead of a monthly lease - It'll pat itself off in a reasonable short time frame and we get compliments on it everyday. We had an issue with a chargeback and every time we called FirstData each representative had a different thing to say and 3 months later we still did not receive our money back even though we also opened a police case and the fraudulent man was caught and thrown in jail. FirstData advised us to send in all our information and they would send it to Mastercard to dispute the case but apparently we just learned that they never did such thing at all! So we waited 1.5 months for nothing. Where is the justice in this country? Where the criminal is caught yet we are not reimbursed. He still gets away with $1300 of our money!
I got some amazing help from Frank Mancuso. We were in a bit of a crunch with time and he solved every issue in a speedy manner. He even kept track of the parcel to make sure it would reach me on time. Bravo! Excellent customer service and very professional. He went above and beyond! I give him all the stars in the sky.
Kuben helped me a few months ago to set up Clover at my repair shop, GoMobile Repair. Since then, our terminal costs are down 40% and out tips have doubled! Everybody just loves this thing. Carlos Gannon through eSwipe had setup our First Data/Flash Pay account early last year and was an efficient sales person. We were online and the account was setup quickly and the service had been great.
In October of 2019 we converted our sole proprietorship into a corporation and tried at length to have the service transferred in. The customer service queue was full of confusion and uncertainty in their own processes.
Ultimately Carlos became involved again and duplicated our lease creating an unnecessary second merchant account and a second point of sale terminal. Once we realized that we were now being double-charged we immediately re-engaged FirstData but no-one was interested and no-one cared to sort through the problem. Carlos had disappeared and our repeated attempts to make contact with the sales team were unsuccessful. Some weeks we leave up to as many as 3 messages in their voicemail box without any call-back. Emails to Carlos remain unanswered. First Data has assumed the position of "not my fault, not my problem".
This is a budget company with seemingly few resources to service their administrative processes clearly and effectively.
You get what you pay for. If you want a full service merchant experience with great customer care then head over to Square.
The end result is that we have a $2,053.11 duplicate lease that we cannot get out of.
I cannot say enough about the amazing assistance I received from Maryam Bin Yahya! I own Sugar Me Cookie Bakery in Gimli Manitoba and have had difficulty with my current provider Global Payments, as my bakery was flooded in December which haulted business. Moving forward, I am so happy that First Data Canada will look after my business respectfully. Maryam was able to fast track my application and my equipment is already on its way. This company has been a very positive experience to work with. Our Account Executive, Pat Horszynski, has made the transition to a new provider so easy. Although we had issues with one of our three Merchant accounts, he always sought positive resolution on our behalf. All correspondence with technical support has been friendly and positive, only wish there was a much quicker way to get through when you need immediate response for terminal issues as it is quite a lengthy process to touch base with a "live" person when your customer is waiting in front of you. The biggest pro for making the switch to First Data is the cost savings... second to none! Well worth the initial call. I would highly recommend this company!

If I could give them zero I would. I have 2 interact machine with this company and I have to call to customer service every week sometimes 2 times a week. Today I was on the line for more than 1 hours and call disconnected and no one called me back while the first thing they ask for in the beginning is a call back number! And still my problem has not solved! I called back to talk with a manager and they try to not connect me to that person! I m still on the line... do not waste your time and money with this company.
