Worst customer service ever. They will lie to you and then you find out you are locked in a contract

Frank Mancuso made setting up my Merchant Account a breeze... he was personable, knowledgeable and very efficient.

Great service by my customer service rep James Duncan. Super responsive to any question or concerns and the terminal supplied is lightning fast, has all the latest feature and competitive rates. A homerun!

Service from m .... We were taken over a week without an Interac machine and no one to fix the problem. And even less so in French. Nobody offered us a solution. No superior to whom we were able to speak. When after losing several $$$ and lost many calls waiting hours online, the company wants to charge us $ 600 to cancel our contract.

They are scammers. Theyr trying to charge extra money every monts.

Stay away from this company, very dishonest business.
Recently changed business name and ownership and called them to update information on current terminal and send their rep and got me to sign contract again which he assured was a ownership change but few days later they delivered another machine... called first data to return one and now they want $1,100.00 for old machine and $1,100 for new machine which i never asked for. Too bad so sad i returned both machines and blocked their payment. SEE YOU IN COURT SOON

First Data is so easy to deal with and sent our Debit machine to us asap..
And if you have a problem there is a 24 hour help line to help you through..

Great Dealing with Nasrin Ghoorun... went out of her way to get the deal done....

I have canceled the service on August 2020.
Had cancel terminal lease separately from terminating merchant services.
Followed the steps of cancellation leased terminal and sent it back with a tracking number. Firstdata kept charging terminal lease fee since August 2020 my business account. I have contacted customer service, problem not resolved yet.

Paresh helped me setup my latest account, I have three accounts with them now and we are happy with them all.

It was a great experience working with First Data! Since we first contacted them, Frank Mancuso was our agent. He continually followed up with us and he was very helpful throughout the process. Frank understood our needs perfectly and made it easy for us. We highly recommend dealing with Frank Mancuso, for his professionalism and his genuine caring manner.

I had recently called First Data about getting a new debit/credit machine for a new store and the service was amazing and quick. I like to give a shout out to Frank Mancuso who had informed in detail about the new machines they had and what kind of service they provided. He did awesome work and made my experience on calling First Data very worth it and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place as it as one of the lowest rates for debit/credit uses.

Terrible, terrible service !!!! Hanged up on me while i inquired about the equipment. We have been with them for two months only. The machine software is not reliable and we lost sales due to it on minimum 3 occasions. if customer has no funds on the account. The machine shows the message that does not clearly indicate that this is the case or no message at all. We had the same machine with another provider and it would clearly indicate "DECLINED" message if no funds on account. The integration with the cash registrar system is not the best. They called to see if we were doing fine with our equipment - we complained and asked for a different type of machine. They said that would be supplied. After several weeks with no action we called back and nobody new what was going on. Tap on Debit / Credit is not seamless.

If they do not rectify the issues above , I will switch my two retail locations to another provider.

The worst company I know .... if I could put zero star I would. They are really escros .... Our contract is finished with them and they continue to take money in the account as they wish. In addition they harass us on the phone every day, we are called when we answer there is no one at the end of the phone and then hang up. I did a search on # on my display and: BOOM .... FIRST DATA ...... Will they leave us alone one day ?????????
And talk about customer service ........... We are told anything ... a day we have a story the other day is quite different .... a gang of liars and very arrogant ... Seriously THINK Y 2 times before doing business with them .... and done some research on the net ... you will be surprised to see the number of complaints and the number of traders dissatisfied with them ....

I m a massage therapist in Ontario, Canada and have recently decided to go out on my own. I was of course looking for the cheapest rates and cheapest monthly rental price for the terminal, and clover ended up the cheapest by far. Kuben Naidoo ended up being my account representative and was super easy to work with, made everything easy to understand and helped me through the entire process step by step. I would give this whole process a 5 star.

Very Bad service DO NOT EVEN CONTACT THEM very unprofessional they never return calls or emails and made me wait over a week to approve and on friday they told me to send a new document which they never told me to and than they say they cant validate the business even thought sent them enough proof of a buisness license pictures etc and not only that i got a family member to call and he asked if they do credit check which none of them told me that they will so they were doing a credit check the whole time with out my approval very bad service do not use them took up a whole week

I called Clover (first data) needing merchant services quickly. I spoke with Andre Sanchez. Within minutes he had explained everything in an easy, friendly manner. Then within another 2 minutes he had taken all of the info he needed and sent me the application to sign. Within a few hours I had merchant services (virtually) and the next day I had the hardware. This was amazing and very helpful. I am starting up a motor services group and don't have time to go back to the same issue over and over. I really can't say enough about Andre and first data. Thank you, Andre! Call me when you get promoted.

Clover ( First Data ) has offered me continuous support throughout my process of looking for a merchant. Anisa Sokolovic my sales rep has been always above and beyond giving me more than enough information needed for me to sign up. Frank Mancuso was amazing to deal with. He was very diligent to always contact with follow up and answer any questions that we had regarding being a merchant with first data. First rate customer service, and very honest with all the steps.

There was always someone "live" to talk to right away - no waiting! This is a big deal, thanks Kuben! We love that our sales will help our local Chamber of Commerce, this is great!

Stay away from this company, they lie to you they say their rates are lower but they always charge way more then moneris and they never told us about that 4500$ to cancel the contract even afrer a month of those machine not working properly.

Go with moneris they have better ethics and customer service

Be very very careful before signing up with First Data. They will make you sign a 4 year contract and charge you $500 if you ever go out of business and cannot transfer the contract. Can't believe this even exist, 4 year contracts!

Nasrin did an outstanding job in assisting Industratech to switch to a First Data terminal. It was a very simple and painless process for me as the Accounting Manager as she did all the extra work to make this happen. I highly recommend Nasrin for your First Data POS system to help make your business very efficient.

This is the WORST merchant service. They do not protect their merchants. Their customer service is absolutely HORRIBLE. They need to have better training, the staff is very argumentative. You will NEVER win a chargeback with this company. We have lost countless chargebacks over the most nonsense reasons. this company sucks. Save your money.

I cannot say enough great things about First Data. From my very first call to them until my last I have felt taken care of and treated like my business mattered to them. The service was always quick, their statements are easy to read and understand and if you sign up through your Chamber (if they are a benefit provider) you get some really great rates.
In a time when it feels like you get screwed over by most service companies you need to deal with to operate your small business, dealing with First Data is a breath of fresh air.

I really liked working with sales representative Anisa. She was very professional and helped us organize everything in a timely manner. The whole process was very smooth. The clover unit looks very nice and compact and is very easy to operate. I would definitely recommend this company for any small or big business.

This company is nothing other than a fraud! They will make you sign a lease that has such fine print you would need 3 lawyers to advise you with advice. Do not ever use first data for interac it is not worth the headaches. Then you go to cancel and they tried to tell me that I need to give them 30 days notice or they are going to charge $500.

First Data was a pleasure to deal with after having an awful experience with a different point of sale terminal provider. The turn around time was head and shoulders above the competition. Kuben was very helpful.

When my older terminal with another payment company went obsolete, I decided to shop around, and First Data was recommended to me by my Credit Union. I dealt with James Duncan and he was knowledgeable, quick and thorough. He quoted a substantial discount on processing fees which turned out to be real! I'm very pleased in that regard. I've been with them for 2 months.

I had a couple of questions on using the terminal, and phoned in to tech support and got someone right away to help me out. I bought my terminal outright from them, that is cheapest in the long run, and with the lower processing fees, I'm going to recover those costs in short order. I don't put through very many transactions per day, so the overall monthly processing costs are a very important factor to me.

Clover is a life saver! With our administration team working remotely this gives us an incredible dashboard where we can view everything happening in the office per terminal. The terminals are sleek and modern looking and extremely easy for our staff to use. They also have automatic settlements each day which saves not only time but stress when working remotely.Patrick& Ian are fantastic! Top of the line customer service and knowledge of their products. They made the decision to swith to Clover a no brainer. Saving us time & money...what more can a business ask for. Also we needed this new system in place ASAP. From the time we made the decision, we had the terminals in our office in less than 48 hours! AMAZING!!!If you are not using Clover you are missing out.
OH, and did I mention email & text for receipts? Again, super efficent and important during a Pandemic when paper receipts are now a thing of the past.

I can't even remember signing up with these guys, I have never used them for anything ever, ( even their own records show this) but I keep getting a bill in the mail every month of 0$ .. phone up they say I will be charged 500$ to "cancel" the contract (what contract?). .. but If I let them send me 0 $ bill for the next 4 years .. then there is no charge ... so .. umm, .. I guess keep sending me the junk mail for 4 years , .. I will keep tossing it in the garbage, and talk to you in a few years?

Sales people are very pushy and don t want to take no as an answer . Not looking to change payment companies but definitely would not pick this company is I was due to the sales people.

First Data took the time to fully breakdown my processing statement, and educated me on how I was really being charged by my previous provider. They were able to save me about $2,000 a year. So far the customer service has been great.

I have signed for a lease. Sales guys told me than I can go seasonal with 6 months working and 6 months not working. So they do not charge for non seasonal period of 6 months. So I already informed then I did not need for next 6 months (non seasonal) but they still charge from my account. This is a terrible service and looks like stealing money from people by telling lies. I have informed 3 times to switch to non seasonal but still they did not do that and charge$41 every month plus some other non regular chargers.

Good service by Patrick to get our retail and online payment systems put in place. Retail system is fast and customers love the tap. The online payment for our website was a bit tricky but works like a charm now and is much more efficient than our old one.

Just had these guys hang up on me. They called and asked to compare my cost with moneris to what these guys would charge. I went over my service fees that I am currently paying, and these guys asked my total costs, so I told them. They said " Well that's cheap, you should stay with them" and hung up on me without another word. Very unprofessional and very rude. Sad thing for them is, I actually AM looking for a new provider, and had they actually stayed on the phone and talked, I most likely would have switched. Not now though. Ignorant, very ignorant. They tried to start the call by saying their customer service is number one, and much better than Moneris'. Ha ha. Sure. Hang up on me, that's much better. Moneris has NEVER hung up on me. They've always treated me great.

Worse company to work with poor customer support and they don't stand behind their value... Charge more and fill up their on pocket but when time for refund takes 2 week and have even show the proof that they charge me that kind of service this company provides.. If I can give them -5 rating... Don't work with this company.
