I ve stayed at this property a few times. Each time I ve walked in, been wowed by the lobby, then get sent out to the executive wing or as like to refer to it left field. First you must walk through the scary hallway with low ceilings, then get on the elevators with loud tv showing horrible sports games (not relaxing). By the time you ve reached your room all that charm and wowed impression from the lobby has been forgotten. Then you open the door to your room, if I had a time machine back to 2008, it would be top rate! The furniture is worn, phones are disgustingly grimy. Then there are some newer elements like the television and the soothing noise maker (let s you know this place can get loud when full occupancy). Furthermore I didn t appreciate the 0945a knock on the door from house keeping that woke me up when I d requested and was granted late checkout of 2p at the time I checked in. Chicago is a sanctuary city so expecting people to read English and be educated isn t a priority.

The food choices are lacking severely. There is a shop near the lobby to grab and go. Over priced. Room service is just grab and go items delivered. The restaurant (my rate included breakfast) was disappointing, small menu and the wait staff told me no buffet today not enough guests at hotel . So I had to choose from the very limited selection on the menu. It was fine nothing fancy comparable to a chain restaurant in an airport terminal.

Will I stay again? Sure, but only cause my employer usually books this hotel as there is a free airport shuttle (I m not an airline employee). The hotel is close to the trains to city but if it s cold don t forget your parka. Would be nice if the shuttle stopped there also.

Rooms were small with no refrigerator or microwave and a cramped shower. The fire alarm/lights went off due to a storm while we were there and the lights stayed on for 2 days. The last night we were there, we had to wait nearly 20 minutes to get out of the parking lot because of a line of cars that were stopped because of a kink in the parking ticket system. We ended up paying $66 to park there for 3 nights and they were going to try to charge us for storing some left overs in the "mini-bar/non-existent mini-fridge." The only thing that I can say was good about this hotel was the modern design and the comfortable beds. Otherwise, I would not recommend this hotel to a friend--not a good value for the money!

My stay included four days and three nights for a work event. My room and other accommodations were comfortable and clean. The bar inside the hotel had good food but was over priced. The only issue I had (which is not a big one) was the workout area was small compared to the number of occupants in the hotel.

We have been here several times for charity functions. The hotel is huge. Check in is quick and easy. The rooms are big, showers in a few can run rather small. The ballrooms are beautiful, and very modern. We enjoy or stay each time. It's not too far from the convention center, or the outlet mall, which we have walked to without issues.

Normally I stay at Hilton hotels when traveling for work but Hyatt had the better rate. First of all the parking was $32 a night. It's in a high traffic area near o'hare so I should have just done my homework...my fault but warning to others about that. I checked in around 630 and had to wait in line and I can usually skip that with Hilton and use my phone as a door key. I don't know if world of Hyatt perks does the same. The room was nice and had an extremely large TV and balcony. Unfortunately from the third floor I could hear people in the lobby cheering and the occasional plane passing by like clockwork. The planes flew by so frequent that I could ignore them pretty quickly. Overnight sleep was good though and checkout was easy. I might stay here again if I need to but I'll take the train from o'hare and request a room higher up.

If you need a place to stay close to the airport...choose Hyatt over the Hilton. The Hilton's only convenience is that you do not have to walk outside of the airport to get to it. The Hyatt, on the other hand, usually has a cheaper fares, has free internet, and the rooms are nicer. For comparison, I was able to get a room at the Hyatt for $170, while the Hilton was giving me a quote of $380.

Extremely comfortable rooms with huge television. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The "Perks to go" food cafe has some really tasty fresh food. Overall great and restful stay. Thank you!

We stayed at the hotel and attended the wedding reception at the hotel, and it was a really nice experience. At the end of our stay, my wife unfortunately had a medical emergency and the staff/security were excellent. Tom, the head of security, was very professional and empathetic. Everything turned out OK, thank god, thanks to the paramedics and the staff at the Regency

I am orginally from Chicago and have been away from the city for 35 years, I have never stayed at the iconic Hyatt before, I was on a business meeting and had very low expectations about the hotel in general. My opinion srarted to change when on the shuttle bus from the Airport staff members were checking in our group with I pads and scanning keys for fast room keys. I received mine and was very pleased that the hotel was up to date with technology and service. I went straight to my room but the key would not open the door, Disappointing since this is a large hotell and bit of a walk back to the front desk, The desk quickly made the repair and I went back to my room which was clean and retrofited for business needs. I attended my meetiings and returned to my room and found a cheeze tray and a personal note from the GM apologizing for the key problem. I have stayed at 5 plus hotels across the world and this impressed me becasue it was so unsolicited. Service is the hotels strenght, i found it in the meeting halls and dining rooms also.

We did a park sleep fly stay here. The ease of getting us back a forth from the airport and providing a safe place to park the car made the stay more than worth it. I highly recommend this to anyone flying out of O'Hare

Beautiful hotel, getting an accessible room for my mom made our trip so much more comfortable. Staff was super nice and helpful, even before we finished getting in the door. I read complaints about the noise from planes, and even brought my earplugs just in case, but I didn't really hear anything from my room on the 7th floor.

Great
