There isn t anything luxurious about this location for the price you pay. Room was dirty the more you looked around the more grim we found. The fridge didn t work so had to throw away left overs and the shelf it was on was so beat up and dirty you think you re in a motel if you just looked at part of the room. For the price you pay you d think they d be a microwave in your room but they only have 1 community microwave in the hotel that doesn t have any type of disinfectant wipes around it to use, during covid that whole situation is very off putting. The staff was also very rude and condescending, seems like if you aren t a older white person you re viewed as a second class citizen here. Save your money and stay at the holiday inn

Do you want to relax? Do you want inner peace and enjoy the beautiful nature ?. You just have to head to this hotel where great services and a warm feeling during your dealings with the team of wonderful staff.

Was not expecting as nice of a property as we found here on July 4th weekend. The hotel was clean, the pool was fantastic, and the variety of food places were well above average. The room was also great - roomy and kept updated and spotless. I d definitely stay here again, but will advise anyone who is seeking to park close to the hotel - to expect that you re going to walk a good but from the parking area. This isn t a dealbreaker by any stretch of the imagination, as the facility itself is pretty much a resort that you ll have little to no need of leaving if you re there for an extended weekend.

Try this place over the holiday. Bounce houses and video rooms for kids. Good price for locals. Eat out though, Bluepoint restaurant closed for the season. Bring your fun friends, too many snooty mean people acting out taking it out on the staff that work there. The spa sucks and its expensive. Take Lyft to Cambridge for dinner drinks

I have stayed at this location twice now - once, in the summer and the other time in the winter. Both experiences were great. It s a great location for a staycation if you re a Marylander. They have a couple pools/hot tubs, to include an adults only pool. There are a few dining options and well-kept walking paths around the property to enjoy.

The spa is wonderful. I just think they need to update or get rid of their couples lounge area , it was quite awkward having to walk away from the spa area to walk in an awkwardly spaced room where you expect couples to relax .

If you re looking to avoid noise/kids running around, this isn t exactly the place for you, or I would suggest not staying on a holiday weekend. But if you want somewhere to take your kids, then I do recommend because they have activities planned that will help keep them occupied.

Overall, I love this place and do recommend a stay.

Disappointing and poor value for the $$ from a long-time Hyatt member. Less than acceptable housekeeping, mediocre food and less than accommodating front desk staff. Gorgeous grounds and pool, but otherwise not worth the premium for the location. And as a Midwesterner, would have appreciated a heads up about jellyfish year round (which render the beach and water sports pretty useless).

My kids and I have enjoyed each of our 4 or 5 trips to the Hyatt. There seems to be plenty to do, whether you come in summer or winter. The bouncy houses are especially fun when the weather turns cold, but make sure to ask if they will be available during your planned visit.

If you have the opportunity to stay at Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Resort, GO! This is one of the most beautiful, friendly, resorts we have been to. The variety and quality of the food was excellent. The staff were friendly, cheerful, and helpful. We had a lovely weekend on the water.

I've been taking my family here for years. It is a quick get away, and always very relaxing. The staff is friendly, and during the busy summer months, there is a lot to do. In the off season, there isn't much other than the indoor pool, but the hot tub is great year long. The food at the Waters edge is good, and I like hanging out at Michener's Lounge and having drinks. During the summer months, they have live entertainment on the weekend. My only complaint would be the game room. It is out dated and falling apart. Overall I do love the Hyatt and look forward to coming back for years to come.

Beautiful location, attended a business meeting here. Great and friendly staff. Wasn't able to explore or avail myself of any of the amenities, but they looked very nice from afar. Would love to come back and explore further.

We stayed here for the Ironman Maryland triathlon. The resort is very well appointed and family friendly - there are plenty of activities for children. Unfortunately, we left a little disappointed as there were a couple of small details that nearly spoiled the experience. There were some minor maintenance issues with the room which, while fixed quickly, should have been repaired before the customer was given the room. Secondly, the resort put on buses to the triathlon for guests but these were stopped at 6 p.m. and athletes finishing after this time (the official cut off time was midnight) were left to their own devices. Don't get me wrong: it was good but could have easily been better.

Decided to stay here for two nights after a great stay in Dewey beaches Hyatt. Very disappointed. Advertised 5 restaurants. Only one mediocre one open to the public with limited menu. Not even complimentary coffee offered. Parking very far from room. Price almost double of Dewey location. Would have been better off staying at a hotel in the town for sure.

Over all very nice resort. Grounds and public facilities are excellent. Unfortunately some simple things are not handled well and are below Hyatt standards. Hot water on the floor I was on was an issue. Housekeeping wasn't great. Staff knowledge about pool times was not accurate. Most of what's wrong here is a management issue. Still, it is a nice place.

Great place for families with small kids. We stayed in a petite family suite and it had plenty of space for all four of us (two adults, a toddler, and a baby). The crib they brought in for our baby was nice and not a pack-and-play like most other hotels, they even provided us with baby shampoo, powder, and lotion plus actual crib sheets. While there was a balcony in our room, it was basically unusable due to size (really small) and structure quality -- but we already knew that based on previous reviews so we were not counting on having one. The hotel restaurant food quality is fantastic, would recommend eating at Water's Edge Grill for dinner.

Disappointed with our experience. Met out of town family for a dinner and it seemed the wait and kitchen staff were not you to par! Two of five meals were not prepared as requested and one other was actually forgotten! Out waitress was not experienced in the service industry! To add, resort cleaning staff was vacuuming a lobby, directly above the dinning area...! Not my best thoughts! Good luck.

STAYCATION GIFT CARD DISHONORED - I received a 2 day "Staycation" gift certificate for this Hyatt Chesapeake Bay resort from my employer. I have made 6 phone calls, VM messages, and emailed the conceriege a copy to inquire about redeeming it. NONE of the staff I talked to had information on restrictions or how to redeem. Most of my calls were transferred to a specific lady in their business office who has not returned any of my multiple messages. I never expected a Hyatt owned resort to "stiff" a customer on a $500 gift certificate. Extremely dissapointed in this experience and I for one will never stay at any Hyatt hotel or resort again in the future. I suggest anyone considering a resort stay with Hyatt proceed with "buyers beware" and find another place to stay.

WOW!!! It is the BEST place to vacation. I wish they would bring back the Chesapeake Bay Experience. The rooms, the spa, the wait staff, the jet ski, the pools / jacuzzi and the Restaunts onsite are just AWESOME! The quality of service you receive as a guest is absolutely GREAT! This is my 3rd year going and I plan on attending again next year, God willing.

Horrible Service, redneck clientele, overpriced, and ugly seventies carpets, and rooms, loud at night, and we found pills on the ground when we first walked into our room, unless you enjoy a pool filled with five year olds who pee in the pool and 65 year olds spilling alcoholic drinks. DO NOT GO!!!

Some good, some bad, seems to be a fading property. We've been coming here off and on for many years, and each time we come it seems to be ever so slightly fading.

First the positives: It remains a very nice looking property friendly staff, clean spaces and a nice pool. Beds are form, and many rooms have beautiful views. Breakfast at the restaurant is very good, with a particularly nice omelet station. There is also a great golf course.

Negatives: For a property that charges a resort fee, there isn't much to do other than golf and the pool. If you are staying for one night, the outdoor pool hours are so limited you basically can't use it. They used to have a very nice room service/in room dining. They wheeled in a cart with your food with nice settings, it was really nice and had some great food options. We tried it again last night to be greatly disappointed. Staff showed up with the meal in a paper bag, plastic utensils, all cardboard containers, food selection and quality had really gone downhill. Rooms are also stuffy, with the most bizarre heating/AC controls I've ever seen (see photo). I like a cool room to sleep in, and this place was too warm, plus the unit cycling (since I can't leave the fan on), woke me up. Balconies in the rooms were so shallow, you couldn't use them to sit outside.

Bottom line, doubt we will return next time, too expensive for a mediocre experience.

We were doing engagement photos at the Hyatt while we were dressed up. It was a gorgeous place, and we were thinking about the possibility of staying there one night. We made sure we were out of the way of any guests. A guy came up and told us we were not allowed to take pictures because our photographer didn't call them first, even though he knew him and hadn't had issues there before. I have no desire to stay there due to his rudeness. I wouldn't have taken offense if he came to us gently and told us the situation instead of treating us like dirt.

Wife and I came here for a quick getaway. We were very pleased with our experience.

Quick note: there is a resort fee in addition to your per night cost. However, this includes wifi and access to lots of different activities at the resort.

We arrived around 5pm and were promptly greeted at the front desk. There were lots of families around as it was during spring break. As a result, there were also a lot of activities. 3 swimming pools, waterslide, mini golf, volleyball court, fitness center. In addition there were several dining options. The grounds are beautiful with some options for walking "trails".

The resort feels very private and we felt very relaxed. We will definitely be making more getaways here in the future.

The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake is a great place to have a quick getaway. There are plenty of activities, a couple of outdoor pools, and an indoor pool to keep everyone satisfied. They also have a golf course and marina (it on the Choptank River off of the Bay), but I haven't used either. Everything you need is right there for a relaxing break about 45 min South of the Bay Bridge.

Went to celebrate family birthdays. Pool was great size and pool area very nice. Dissapointed in cleanliness of room. Found several trash items from previous guests in room and bathroom. Tub did not drain like it should. Cabinet door to recridgerator falling off hinges. Made reservations at restaurant and was asked if special occasion and answered yes, however server was not aware and brought out dessert with candle as we were leaving. Previously stayed there several years back and we're very pleased at that time. Dissapointed this time. Hotel has great amenities and options of activities.

I had a difficult time trying to rate the hotel which we stayed at during the pandemic because of restrictions.
The hotel is on a beautiful property with a lovely water view. Rooms are reasonably sized and comfortable, many but not all have nice balconies. There are 2 nice outdoor pools, which were fairly crowded on a holiday weekend even with the hotel at less than 50% capacity. There is also an indoor pool. Only one of the restaurants was open and although pricey was worth eating in. We couldn't use yhe beach due to jellyfish
